Very thorough eye exam (with advanced imaging) and great selection of frames and styles.Updated one year later: Ive so far purchased 3 or 4 frames for myself from them and my wife just got her first pair too. My wifes frame came back damaged from the lab but the store acknowledged the issue and gave her a replacement pair.

Eye&l is really a good place to go check out your eyes. The doctor is really professional and takes time to examine the patient. The equipment is all new and easy to use. They have a lot of cool frames and lenses to choose from. Visit eye&l and see better!
I went here when they first opened back in 2019 and everything was great. Unfortunately I tried to come back this week for a routine eye exam just to check if my vision is still okay. However, they informed me the day before my scheduled appointment that their doctor requires all eye exams to include retinal imaging even before the normal exam. Sounds to me like they just want to claim more insurance money. Ive never had vision issues why would a retinal imaging be required even before seeing me. They then asked me to cancel the appointment. Will definitely not go back, as I feel like Im being scammed.
Eye&I is a very welcoming place for everyone. Dr. Kevin was very thorough. We did not feel rushed at all. Everyone was very pleasant. I would definitely recommend Eye&I to anyone who wants a thorough eye exam.
This office is perfect! I have not been to the eye doctor in years! But when I went into this office, they made it a very seamless process. The doctor was so knowledgable and was very kind! She was able to properly diagnose and treat my issue and I am so happy I found them! They are very clean as well and wipe down everything from exam machines to every glasses you touch to try on. Highly recommend this office!
Always a lovely, positive experience. At eye&I you are always welcomed the minute you walk through the door, all the staff are pleasant, Joe, Dr. Crystal, Dr. Chen, Grace and everyone, sorry I cant remeber the other thing mans name, never a negative experience. The Doctors are thorough and listen to all your concerns about your eyes. And its always fun picking out glasses that best suits you, its like having a mini fashion show. Eye&I provided such an enjoyable and seamless customer experience — This was super important to me as it was my first time ever getting an eye exam, glasses, etc.The practice itself has a warm and aesthetic vibe. The staff is really welcoming and friendly. (COVID-NOTE: Everyone is wearing a mask. There are multiple hand-sanitizer stations and a clean bathroom. Any glasses you try on is set aside to be cleaned later. They fully follow pandemic protocol.)Dr.Crystal Han is everything you’d want in a doctor - patient, friendly, and informative. As I mentioned, this was my first-ever eye checkup and I really appreciated her detailed explanations and calm demeanor throughout the whole process.After my eye exam, Joe and Grace were so helpful when I was trying on different frames. Grace gave her genuine opinions on which styles she thought matched me and Joe gave me thorough explanations on the pros/cons of various frames. My glasses came in super quick and I haven’t stopped wearing them since!Overall I had an awesome experience — I love my new glasses and highly highly recommend visiting eye&I for all your vision needs!
Absolutely amazing service here! The whole staff understands how to take care of their customers and their needs. The store itself is beautiful and you can tell they spent a lot of time/energy in renovating it to have such a welcoming ambiance. We came in a little bit early but it was no problem at all as Joe, the store owner, took care of us immediately and made sure we were able to take care of things like looking for a pair of glasses first. He was not pushy at all and was patient in explaining which type of styles would fit our faces best. I appreciated that he did not try any salesman tactics and just gave us the honest truth through the whole process regarding frames or lenses. It felt like a safe environment because everyone was wearing masks, temperatures were taken, and everything was clearly sanitized after being touched (including pens, glasses, equipment). When Dr. Crystal Han saw us - we were absolutely blown away by how friendly and warming her communication was. She wanted to make sure we felt 100% comfortable throughout the eye exam and had all the information necessary afterwards to get follow-ups done.Also this place is bi-lingual so if your friends, parents, grandparents need service in Korean - they are very capable in taking care of them as well, which is what my parents needed. This is a top-notch optometry boutique and do not hesitate to make your appointments here. After such a wonderful experience I am a customer for life.
Had an excellent experience with both Dr. Han and staff. My vision exam was scheduled easily over the phone, and during the exam, Dr. Han was friendly, communicative, and efficient.After the exam was over, I went to choose frames and the staff were friendly and helpful in informing me about the wide selection available and even went so far as to give me the option of coming in later in the week since they planned to receive a fresh shipment of new frame styles.One point of interest to me was that they do their best to purchase high quality frames from independent retailers, rather than the large mega corporations that dominate the vision industry today.I came back later in the week, picked out my frames and received them a week later. I am very happy with my experience, and quite impressed with the cleanliness of the space.In light of COVID, the staff wore masks at all times, enforced mask wearing by other customers, sanitized frames that were tried on by customers, and took measures to maintain social distance etiquette.I would highly recommend and will be coming here in the future for vision exams and new glasses.
This was the best visit Ive had to an eye doctor! From the call to make the appointment to visiting the beautifully designed office, all the staff were so kind and professional. Dr. Han explained every step of my exam so I knew what to expect. She was very patient and answered all of my questions thoroughly. This was such a different experience from visiting other doctors who just get straight to business and dont prioritize a patients comfort or knowledge of the procedures and eye health. While I was waiting for my exam, I talked with the manager, Joe. He was easy to talk to, personable, and made me feel super welcome for my first time visiting Eye&i. I am definitely coming back and so glad to have found such an amazing place for my optometry needs!
Visited this office today for the first time and Im so excited to recommend eye&I for anyone who needs eye care. eye&I is all about prioritizing a comfortable and seamless patient experience. From the easy booking process (online or by text) to the friendly and professional staff, the entire experience was so pleasant. Dr. Han has a nurturing quality about her and is very thorough with the exam. I appreciate that she takes her time to explain everything including how my vision has/hasnt changed. Highly recommend!
Dr Crystal Han was friendly and professional. She was thorough with the exam and they use state of the art imaging machines. (You may have to pay extra OOP). The examination office is spacious but the rest of the store is a little cramped due to the Covid-19 accommodations. However, they all helped my mom and I get the glasses we wanted and were very patient and supportive. Their selection isn’t large but I was very happy with the recommendations. Joe patiently explained all the options for my mom and I. We each had different insurance so it was a lot of information. I highly recommend Dr Han and the staff at Eye & I.
This is such a great place to go to for an eye exam and if you need new glasses. Dr. Crystal Han is so sweet and explains everything to you. The customer service there is great. Once you walk through the door you are greeted by the front desk. Then you have Joe who really truly helps you pick out the perfect pair of glasses. Having worn glasses for the better part of my life, Ive been in and out of optometry stores and optometrist offices quite a number of times. Today has to have been the best experience Ive had in quite some time. Attentive and friendly staff was just the tip of the iceberg.There interior is modern and chic, but with a cozy and warm vibe. They have an extensive and modern selection of frames that can suit urban lifestyle to elegant dressy. I got myself a pair of retro pilot style frames.I got my eye exam done by the doctor/owner, Dr. Crystal Han. Its good to see young, competent doctors that are thorough and engaging. I was so used to stiff, older doctors that were just filing through patients, but I felt like she actually cared about my eye health. She let me know how my eyes were doing and recommended the perfect pair of contacts for my particularly dry and itchy eyes.Then it was time to choose a pair of frames. From the plethora of frames to choose from, the staff took time to recommend a nice pair that was suited to my face and my style. It was truly a remarkable experience.From beginning to end, I had an amazing time here. It was a quiet and warm time listening to some oldies and a friendly staff guided me through the process of getting my eyewear. Overall I had a really fantastic experience when I went here for the first time a few months ago. The owners, staff, and Dr. Han are overall very kind and professional.My only complaint is that the office assistant who gave me a retinal imaging scan either did not know, or otherwise failed to inform me, that the scan would be an extra $39 on top of my $20 copay. I only found out about this extra charge once the owner of the business sat me down to take my payment for the eye exam.When I later called to discuss this lapse in communication and request a refund of the extra charge, he informed me that retinal imaging scans are the offices default eye exam procedure, and they feel that the extra precision and detail that the imaging provides justifies the extra cost to clients. My request for a refund was not entertained.The assistant who helped me was very young, and most likely unaware of the extra cost of the scan, but I wish that there were procedures in place to properly inform clients of extra charges and give them the option to opt in or out.When I say everything else was great, I mean it. I would definitely come back here, but this little issue just rubbed me the wrong way.

I’ve been going here for a couple of years now and all of my visits have been pleasant experiences. Clean, fresh storefront with friendly staff who are quick to accommodate my requests. I also never have to wait more than a few minutes to see the doctor which is always a plus.
I am torn because I had a good experience with the eye doctor. I gave only 2 stars for the following reasons:-I was very disappointed in the office. The office is small and crowded. I felt unsafe because there was no form of social distancing, no open windows, no open doors. I saw ~11 customers and 7 staff members moving around the store but there was no effort to clean seats, counter tops or other frequently touched areas. This seems very unsafe given the covid 19 pandemic.- The Optician was very pushy and quite rude. I told her I wanted to have the lenses covered by my insurance. She stressed that my lens would be very thick so I should opt for a thinner version. I stated that I am on a budget but I am open to seeing my options. She proceeded to keep telling me to get the upgrades for $385 for ONLY the lenses. This is a crazy price considering I can get thinner lenses with the blue light and anti glare for more reasonable prices elsewhere. Also, I ended up asking another employee at the store (I think his name is Joe) and he told me the lenses covered by my insurance would be fine (in regard to the thickness). So, this showed that paying $385 was not necessary. I felt very uncomfortable by how pushy the previous optician was.-optician tried to charge me $39 for a scan that I did not ask for. Prior to seeing the doctor, I reviewed my documents and insurance planwith the front desk to ensure there would be no copay or deductible for my visit. I explained this to the optician but she was very dismissive and indifferent.-I had an appointment but had to wait 40-45 mins to see the doctor. Given the pandemic, most offices are very strict with appointments to limit the # of people in the store. Unfortunately, Eye & I did not seem to care to respect the appointment times and limit the # of people inside.Overall, you should consider avoiding this eye glass store. I did have a positive experience with the doctor but I have had other great experiences with other doctors too. Even though she is great, coming here is not worth the 1 hour and 20 min that I spent waiting and dealing with the above situations.Thank you for reading.
Excellent, friendly, thorough chairside manner, very patient to answer questions, helps to show results of tests and explain their meaning. Staff also very friendly, helpful, patient, and super accommodating, especially in COVID times. Before seeing the doctor, assistants provide a very sophisticated (Optimap?) test on equipment which I never received in past eye exams; almost like an internal picture of the eye for a very thorough eye health evaluation. Very pleased, so I followed up with a second appointment for a RX update, and the doctor had an exceptionally skillful manner of guiding comparisons of lens choices. Flexible with appointment times. Highly recommended.
Lovely boutique eye care store in Bayside. Really enjoyed the experience. Very welcoming and treated so well! My daughter was a little apprehensive getting contacts for the first time - but Dr. Han made her feel so at ease and comfortable with the whole process. Thank you!
I brought my son in here for his annual eye exam. Very nice, clean, organized place. Everyone was very attentive and the Dr and her assistant were very knowledgeable and helpful. I was happy with the overall attention so I made my appt here as well.
Staff are incompetent and try to rip you off. the staff here try to push you to take a retina exam which costs an additional $40 or refuses to see you as a patient.The frame selections are very, very limited and they overcharge you on frames, lenses and eye exams. The bathrooms are not clean at all which is preposterous given that people are going in and out of bathrooms, touching their EYES, inserting and removing contacts during covid. Avoid at all costs!
Went to Eye and I to buy a pair of glasses, and I loved it!- Great selection of glasses- Professional and yet personable and friendly staff- Not pushy on anything you don’t need, but they’re able to help you better understand your options to help you make a better decision- Their policies are great and put my mind at ease- And of course, the interior is super on point 👌Loved my experience here, and would absolutely return for my next pair

I went in for an eye exam because Ive been having problems with my vision. Dr. Han was very kind, patient and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain the problems I was having with my eyes. After the exam we figured out I needed a prescription. Joe was a huge help picking out my new frames and was very kind through the process. This place is simply outstanding. They do all they can to help you.

My wife and I were in town visiting family and she had what we thought wasn’t a serious eye issue. After finding eye&I and have them using their state of the art equipment she was diagnosed properly, given meds and redid he eye exam which was previously not correct. Her eye infection is all cleared up and her new script is on point. Their facility was a God send for us! I also had my eyes checked and needed new glasses due to incorrect eye test that I had previously done last year.
Doctors and the rest of staff are very competent and friendly, their equipment is advanced and you are in being taken care of as soon as you step in their office. Highly recommend them!
A new optometry store that has opened in Bayside with a modern interior. Great friendly and professional staff that will work with you on a personal level. They are willing to work with you financially as well to ensure that you get the right pair of glasses for you. An ophthalmologist at a strong internal medicine department asked if he would like to do a vision test, and he said he would do it, so I made an appointment with this optician a week later. I thought it was just an eye exam, so I went for an eye exam... They tell you to put on your glasses and guide you to the place where the glasses frame is.Too expensive compared to other places... I almost wore new glasses... . I felt so bad when it came out.
I visited because Koreans were comfortable. It was nice to be able to speak Korean from the person receiving the phone to the receptionist and the ophthalmologist. The whole family is inclusive

2022-04-07I just visited Eye & I for a skin tightening treatment and it was amazing! The space was very clean and I was very well taken care of. I had Joy as a technician and she was very professional and gentle with the procedure. The procedure was very noninvasive and left my skin extremely firm and smooth. Definitely recommend for a calm and relaxing experience.

2022-06-23Horrible. I sent my son who is an adult there to get his vision checked from DSNY. I did think that the doctor would be able to handle it. I know my sons prescription is challenging but he needed a timely appointment. My son has astigmatism and is color deficient. The doctor wrote on his form that he is color blind. He is not color blind he can see primary colors. Just cannot differentiate between certain blues, oranges, etc. He brought the form to his new place of employment with the City and was told he would be disqualified from employment since he is colorblind. Was re-examined by the eye doc on-site which proved he isn’t colorblind just deficient. The eye doc called eye&I and they would not even consider te-examining or changing the diagnosis. They said “I wrote what I wrote, I’m not changing it”. God-forbid they admit to a mistake! Horrible!!! Not to mention the $1000 he spent on glasses. Nice way to ruin a persons chances at a career. Sure miss eye supply!

2022-05-06This place unreasonably overcharges for their frames and lenses.Id say only use this place for their services for eye exams, contact fitting exams as they most likely will take your vision insurance.Even then, they will try to push for their additional Retinal Eye Exam.PLEASE please avoid this place for your next glasses purchase or get ready to be surprised by your bill :)

2022-02-08Awesome experience at EYE & L! I found this location through ZocDoc and I’m so glad my insurance is in network here. Dr. Han and her staff was really nice and professional. I was amazed by their equipment that they use for eye exam. I went for an eye exam and bought a pair of new glasses. The staff was very patient with me picking out my new glasses. I think I found my new Optometrist!

2022-01-28Doctor was really thorough and friendly. The staff was too. Checking in was really quick and the visit took about 15 minutes. The office was clean and they sanitized the machines in front of me which made me feel really comfortable about their cleanliness. Really good experience .

2022-02-07A little more than a year ago, after being examined and prescribed a new eye glass prescription by the pleasant optometrist here, I returned to purchase a pair of glasses from them. The manager and owner Joe scolds me for not having returned to his store sooner, and decides to provide me with a brief eyeglass fitting in the waiting area! Next thing I know, and without discussing any options about the lenses itself, he provides me a bill for $1,089 for my new glasses (knowing of course I have vision insurance) and am shown the door. Not pleased, I phone Joe the next day and cancel this outrageously expensive order - and request that he services me properly and with care, and that he takes the time to discuss my lenses and buying options. No go. Joe refuses me as a customer! And tells me to have my glasses fitted somewhere else - and condescendingly adds that hey, thanks, Ive helped him become a better optician! I was so pleased for him... Well, I get my glasses fitted at another eye store only to find that the progressive prescription written by Eye And I is not good, particularly with my reading. Returning to Joe, he checks my new glasses and assures me that my prescription is fine (even though I see better out of my old pair of glasses). I tell Joe Im out money for the bad pair of glasses, with his prescription - tough luck is his basic and arrogant response. How a business owner can conduct himself in this manner is unfathomable.
