EyeSite in other cities:
The customer service at Eyesite is remarkable. If I ever have any issues with my glasses, this place is always able to fix them quickly and very stress-free. The eye glass specialists are very helpful and definitely represent a focus on ensuring that the customer experience is great!
Start to finish, an awesome experience! Expedient without being rushed; friendly and professional; with just the right touch of good humor when I kept confusing my right from my left! (Long day 🙂)Thank you to Kiara, Dr. Lovett, Kris and all the others who were so wonderful!
Eyesite has terrific doctors, mine is Dr. Varone and I feel extremely comfortable with the care of my eyes and eyesight. I have worked with Terry for years with him helping me with styles, getting the prescription correct in the lenses and of course fit! I recommend Eyesight for the total care of your eyes from health to style!!
I’ve been going to EYESITE since 2005. I’ve seen both Dr. Verrone and Dr. Peters. The professionalism of the whole staff is always bar none. Their new facility is absolutely gorgeous! So many frames choices and the opticians are always helpful and courteous. I came in again yesterday for an exam, contact fitting and glasses adjustment and every part was a great experience. A big shout out to the woman that did my pre-testing (sorry! Didn’t catch your name) who was very personable and knowledgeable. And to Terry (optician) who worked miracles with my busted up glasses. Thank you EYESITE!
I booked three appointments for my family and I on the same day at the same time and everything went smooth. From check in, to our frame search, and through check out, the service was very professional and the staff were went above and beyond to make sure we left satisfied. I will definitely be recommending this practice to others.
I have been a patient at Eyesite for many years and followed regularly due to glaucoma. Today, I arrived for my appointment with Dr. Verrone to be told by Dr. Peter that he didn’t know how I happened to end up on his schedule when he entered the room. I wasn’t even given an introduction. I learned his name from this website. Now that alone would not be a sole reason for me to write this review. There have been multiple instances with eye drop prescription difficulties with the pharmacy where they and Eyesite each put me in the middle stating I would need to work it out with the other, to which I would have to ask why the Drs. office couldn’t just step up and say they would call the pharmacy to remedy the problem. Then, a time I checked in and after waiting for almost an hour was told that the Dr. didn’t know I was there. Again, I might not be writing this review if, when I asked what happened I had received an apology or some acknowledgment of my inconvenience, but instead my question was ignored and brushed off, simply moving me on to make my next appointment and pay the co-pay..These instances have all occurred since the practice has moved into the new building with increased clerical help and staff. I’m not sure what has caused the breakdown. However, I believe the acknowledgment of my concerns should come from those in charge along with some training in communication and accountability instead of shirking it off.I’m not leaving the practice yet. I believe the medical attention and testing are appropriate. Terry, who does my eye wear fitting is consistent and top notch! It’s unfortunate to have to use a public forum to ask for a simple acknowledgment to improve your services that might have occurred within your building. I’m not invisible.
Finding the right toric lenses for vision correction and staying in place has always been a challenge for me. Chain stores have never spent as much time or offered as many trials and follow ups to make sure I end up with the perfect pair. I will be Dr Lovetts PITA for life.
I love Dr Verone or would never use this place again. After ordering 3 pairs of glasses, I had to make 6 trips back & forth - one hour each way - to get them adjusted, replacing 2 sets of lenses and finally just returning one pair and having new lenses put into my old frames. I wore sunglasses for this last trip so did not put the new glasses on until returning home - I did check them to make sure I could see out of the new lenses before leaving the eyewear center as the last bifocal was in the center of the lense and I wanted to make sure that wasnt the case with this pair. When I just put them on at home the lense fell out. Ill be taking them somewhere else for adjustment and wont be buying another pair from Eyesight.
Dr. Verrone has been providing excellent eye care to my family for over 12 years. With access to the latest technology, we know we are receiving the best eye care possible. The staff are friendly, educated, and a pleasure to interact with. The facility offers an extensive selection of glasses and contacts with helpful, well trained professionals to assist you. We continue to be highly satisfied with their services year after year. We wouldnt trust our eye care needs to anyone else, EyeSite truly rates the best of the best!
If you want great care for your eyesight feel free to invest in the experience of this firm. You can ask questions and they will present you the evidence; moreover they share the evidence with your primary care physician. You expand the team caring for your overall health. Paul.
Best eye exam and eyewear buying experience I have ever had. The doctor was not in a rush with the exam like so many others always seem to be. She spoke to me about all of my questions, which I had a few, including a couple about my son. She was very friendly. Like most doctors she cautioned me about smoking and its effects on my eyesight but not in that disapproving way that seems condescending like some doctors, but rather in an encouraging way. The other associates were also very helpful and cheery and the sales guy did his best to get me a good frame for a good price based on my very limited allowance from my VSP plan. Overall it was very worth the money and time to get my eyecare and vision correction from here. I very highly recomend this location.
Dr Varrone is the very best in my opinion. Latest equipment but more importantly, he is extremely thorough with comprehensive tests and evaluations that I have only found at Ophthalmologists. He adds a better ability to create the proper prescription that I have not experienced elsewhere. He combines eye health with practical eye function for a result that excels any franchise place and most other optometry places in the area. The costs are reasonable or less than what you will find for such a high level of service.
I switched here from vision works in pittsford. They have a great selection of glasses for men and women. Everyone so far has been pleasant to work with and helpful when picking out frames. They will soon be moving to a bigger location close by which is great! I really like the doctor here as well. Im very happy I made the switch.
My wife and I have been going to EyeSite since they opened. We have always been extremely happy with the services. The office is staffed with very friendly and helpful people. I just went through a contact lenses fitting procedure. Dr Pandys was patient and thorough and I wound up with a perfect prescription.
I was very pleased with Eyesite, thank you for helping me pick out a nice frame especially after breaking them in prison. I will definitely recommend to others this is a great eye care facility. The appointment times are long however they make sure to cover all of you medical history and needs to give you the best care. And not to be too forward but there is a young smart & very HOT nurse who works there! :)
I did not have a good experience with this office. I have had to visit the doctor once or twice a month while we try to fit my contacts. I have been wearing contact lenses for 15 years and have never had such problems. While it can be difficult to find the perfect fit (or as close to it as possible), the office has caused unnecessary delays by failing to order the trial lenses until I call to inquire where they are. I also have to wait up to 30 minutes past my appointment time to get in. This should not be a regular occurrence.I would not recommend Eyesite.
I picked this place because they indicated on their website that they took my insurance. I gave them my insurance information when I made my appointment. I went to the appointment and it was right AFTER my exam that they informed me that they did NOT take my particular plan. I am furious about this!! They had weeks to tell me they don’t take my insurance!! They could have told me BEFORE the exam!! Totally unethical of them!!
I have been coming here for several years now and every single year the staff is seriously lacking in customer service skills. Further, after calling around and doing research on other local eye doctors, I found out I have been paying way more than necessary due to their extremely expensive contact lens fitting that is required every year. To the doctors discretion at the time of appointment, it can range from $100.00- $200.00, whereas at Pearle Vision, for example, it would cost me $15.00. Even after calling Eyesite just now to confirm what I paid last year, the staff member I spoke with sounded annoyed by my questions. I do not recommend this place whatsoever.
Dr. Verrone has been my eye doctor for a long time and he is the best eye doctor that I ever had. His exams are thorough. Ive had to call him with emergency eye questions when I have scratched and injured my eyes and he always gets back to me right away. I had a friend who had a problem with her eye being swollen recently and sent her to Eyesite and she was thrilled with the help she received. I just picked out new sunglasses and new frames and the selection was fantastic, modern styles that made me think outside of my normal comfort zone in glasses:) Thanks Eyesite!
Good service and staffs are friendly !But watch out for some extra services that you may not need to.( they don’t ask me ahead for the services and bill them to my health insurance then I have to pay 2 copays for the services that I thought everything is included in eye exam )
Dealt with then on 3 different frames. Told me with 2 frames that they didnt have the part for repair...sad sold the frames to me....the last frame the guy tried to pin the lost of my last frame on me when I left it there to repair my lenses...After last night being there another worker states I have not been there since 201u when I was there Feb of 2020 for an exam. I felt a racial tension from him. I will never recoomend them or go back.
I have been coming to eye site for many years. They are all very nice and always explain everything to me so I know what is going on. I even have my mother and my kids that I bring here as well. I drive about a half hour to come here and I refuse to go anywhere else. Highly recommend. Love that they have weekend appointments as well for us worker bees who cannot always take time off of work for appointments.
First time customer, going in for a new pair of glasses and contact lenses. Super friendly and helpful staff! Pat did a great job to help me find new glasses and order contacts quickly and efficiently and made what I thought would be a drag of a process turn out to be quick and enjoyable! Check these guys out!
I have used the services of EyeSite in Penfield for both my elderly parents. Looking after the needs of elderly parents is challenging at best, but it is extra difficult for me because I live far away. EyeSite has been extremely helpful in meeting the vision care needs of my parents. They have truly gone the extra mile, for which I am very grateful. My mom is currently wheelchair bound and unable to leave her nursing home. I emailed EyeSite my moms latest eyeglasses prescription, and Kristy from EyeSite emailed me back with images of suggested frames for my mom. After I chose the frames that I thought my mom would like, Kristy visited her in the nursing home to take measurements and made a second visit to deliver the glasses when they were ready. Mom is thrilled with her new glasses! I give EyeSite top marks for their wonderful customer service.
I just had an eye exam and got new glasses at Eyesite in Penfield, NY. It was a very good experience. My exam was done efficiently, thoroughly and very professionally. The doctor conveyed everything to me in a manner that I could understood. And my new glasses were delivered the same afternoon of my exam. They fit perfectly and look fantastic. I couldnt be happier!Bob Stock 10/7/2016
They are nice and the Dr is good, but they charge a fitting fee of $80 that isnt covered by insurance and takes away from your insurance money meant for glasses or contacts. Others do not do this, so I would recommend looking elsewhere if you want to get the full benefit of your insurance.
I am so impressed with EyeSite! I realized at the very last minute (2:45pm on a Saturday, when I leave tomorrow morning at 6am for Cancun, Mexico for a week) that my contacts were expired. My normal eye doctor’s office was closed and I thought I was going to be out of luck and stuck wearing my glasses at the beach all week. I called EyeSite (seemingly the only place open) to see if there was any way they could help me out, thinking it was a long shot. I talked to Amy, and within a couple of minutes said she could give me a 10 day trial to carry me over, for free! I am so grateful to Amy and EyeSite for being so accommodating and helpful, to someone who isn’t even a patient of theirs! They provided great customer service!
EyeSite lost a customer due to their price gouging, and and from now on I’ll be ordering my contacts from contact lenses king. EyeSite apparently “price matches”, but first you have to purchase them at the original price and mail in a rebate, which still wasn’t cheaper. For their 6 month supply, it cost approximately 142, compared to contact lenses king, which sold them for 90 dollars. That’s a 52 dollar difference, which in my opinion is a lot of money. A total rip off. Don’t waste your time or your money with this establishment.
I have been a patient of Dr. Verone and EyeSite for several years. I have nothing but positive things to say about them.Dr. Verone is the most knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly optometrist I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Hes spent a large amount of one on one time with me. He spent well over an hour attempting to find contacts that would solve my astigmatism. A kind, caring, and patient doctor! The supporting staff exceeded all my expectations as well. The opticians are very knowledgeable and were able to help find the perfect frames for my face. The office staff is very friendly and the facility itself is incredibly clean and projects a positive atmosphere.I would recommend EyeSite and Dr. Verone to anyone looking for glasses, contacts, eye exams, etc.
Bought 2 pairs of glasses at the weekend using my insurance and supplementary VSP insurance. The bill provided was not very detailed. When I returned to pick up my glasses, I asked for a more detailed bill. Upon review, I thought I was overcharged. I connected with VSP and they quickly contact EyeSite and discovered that I overpaid almost $100. In addition, I then discovered when I called them that they had not applied my regular insurance credit - another $60. I asked if they could explain these errors and they told me they didnt know but they dont happen 99.99% of the time. Lucky me to be in in 0.01%. Very disappointed and lucky that I caught it.
I was not happy with the service at all! I was told my glasses would be ready in less than a week and almost 4 weeks later I finally got them. I would call once a week and each time I got a different story why they werent ready. It turns out both the frames and lenses had been there but no one realized and they werent assembled. Very very poor customer service and I guarantee I will never return or recommend to anyone!
I couldnt wait to go back again today for my eye exam! I had gone to Eyesite in the past and had to stop for a couple years due to changes in insurance carriers. Today when I went back, it was just as I remembered it, friendly welcoming staff, great doctors and knowledgeable people!
We are so pleased with the professional manner in which the staff at Eyesite assist with our eyeglass and contact needs. We are thankful for the referral we received to try Eyesite by a friend and have not been disappointed. We especially like the extended hours and that the office is open on Saturdays.Sincerely,Kim and Neil McKenna
Our family has been coming Eyesite in Penfield, NY for many years. We are always able to get an appointment in a timely manner. The staff & Drs are always very friendly, knowledgeable & explain everything they are doing. I have recommended Eyesite in Penfield to our friends & family!
I have been a patient of Dr. Verrone since the doors opened in Penfield. I have had bi-focal contact lenses for 10 years which are very tricky and he is the best at the fine tuning required. I have stayed with the practice when my vision insurance did not cover their services. Eyesite has taken the initiative to adapt to the changes in insurance providers selected by regional employers. My whole family including young adult children will only go to Eyesite even though they have other options.
Just so everyone knows with COVID-19 the amount of time it takes to make / order and have glasses shipped in could take alittle longer than usual due to the labs being half staffed and shipping delays. We apologize and are doing all within our power to speed up/ prevent any delays
My wife and I have been patients of Dr Peters and Dr Verrone for many, many years and we plan on coming back for many more years because we find them very courteous, friendly and professional as well as all the technicians and assistants.Thank you for a great service for so many years.......
Dr Benjamin Peters was the worst! I had my eyes dilated without being informed what he was doing (did not consent) just told me my eyes would feel odd for 10 seconds. I had never had my eyes dilated and this was my first visit with this practice, his reply was to tell me i have had eye exams before so he assumed i knew what was going on, pretty much sounds like he thought it was my fault. I was supposed to be evaluated for eye pain, which he blamed on dry eyes and suggested drops to use before examining my eyes, he also insisted that the dryness was caused by using the a.c. in my car, which doesnt have a.c.After that he decided that my rare use of contacts meant i should be refused them. I didnt think that was his choice but apparently I dont wear them enough so he chose to skip that part. Also had to inform that person that im sorry but is not an apology and so unprofessional it wouldnt even fly at a walmart. In short i had things put in my eyes without being informed or consenting, wasnt allowed contacts because i only wear them for specific occasions and still had to pay $125 dollars and was blamed for his choice to not ask if i had ever had dilation before. Avoid that man!Reception staff was pretty decent.Do not feel the $75 they took off the bill made up for the experience, I didnt want to be there anymore, I wanted to leave so I paid. Two hours and over $100 gone with nothing but a partial prescription, worse eye pain and blurry vision in my left eye eight hours later to show for it.Edit to add that I had staff come out and ask me why I was still there, they apparently forgot to take me back and finish the exam. He kept saying it was to make sure my eyes dilated enough but at that point it seemed more panicked and rushed and very obvious he forgot about me.
Wish I could leave less than one star! they insisted I give my medical insurance card even though I have separate eye insurance through VSP - I told them I was not using my medical insurance and they still submitted a claim! and then invoiced me for the difference even though it was fully covered on my VSP - terrible customer service!!
They charge an annual contact lens fitting fee even if you dont need different contacts ($70). Ive never encountered that before. I was also duped into new, cheaper contacts that werent actually cheaper. I switched to this place for evening appointments, but its totally not worth it.

2022-01-27My 6 year old had a great experience as a first time eye exam after the school nurse suggested we be seen. The reception staff was friendly and very helpful. Madison, our nurse was so friendly and playful she put my daughter at ease right away and made a point to keep checking in with her and making sure she was comfortable and happy. Doctor Verone was patient and very willing to explain what was going on with my daughter and what the plan is. Terry fit my daughter for glasses and was patient and kind. I was so pleased by how kind and informative everyone was. I left with a happy kiddo and a clear understanding of what was going on with my daughters eyes.

2022-03-30Ive been going to EYESITE for years and am very satisfied with their professionalism and care. I drive across town for my appointments and its worth it. Dr. Peters is the best and has great communication skills helping to understand the process.

2022-05-28Two stars because they get the job done. Doctor and staff are friendly, trendy office space, but eye exam cost $250 ($100 copay and was informed that I still owed $150 when I called to get my prescription). (This seems high to me, but not sure what the going rate is.) I wanted to shop for glasses there, but they required masks and a significant number of the frames were in need to be cleaned baskets (Covid). Employees were surfing Facebook instead of cleaning the frames, so... I went elsewhere to shop for frames (somewhere I could see my face without a mask and where frames were promptly cleaned). They specify a brand on contact prescriptions for some reason, so in order to purchase a different brand, one must call the office to have it changed. They cannot email your prescription to you, so you must either pick it up in person or have them mail it to you.Overall, disappointed and annoyed. Im sure they have their reasons, but regardless I will not be going back here.

2021-12-14I went to EyeSite in Penfield. This is the 1st time since 2013. Wouldnt recommend waiting that long between eye exams. They were just as nice, friendly, & professional as I remember.I ask Dr. Lovett some questions about eye health and maintaining good eye health. She was very helpful.Highly recommend.

2021-11-20Kara, Karlie, and Dr. Lovett were friendly, thorough, professional, and efficient. I shared my preferences on glasses and the team had several pairs of glasses waiting for me to try on after my exam. Travis, my optician, set me up with exactly what I needed. I was in and out of there in 35m. Looking forward to my new glasses. Thank you to the Eyesite team for a great experience.
