We were so impressed by our stay at this location. The room was spotless! And the amenities were also super clean.Ronni (spelling?) that worked in the dining room was especially attentive and thoughtful. She saw that I was struggling to carry my breakfast items and she offered me a bag. It was a small gesture, but I appreciated it.We know that many properties are struggling with staffing during the pandemic, and this is the first place it didn’t feel that way.It was an excellent stay.
Great room and hotel. 1st, very clean, that is super important and they hit that one on the head. Room is large, king bed, sofa, desk, nice office chair. Tv is specially set up for you when you walk in. Bathroom small, but functional and shower head is very nice. Counter and fridge are nice too.
Amazing job and kudos to the management. I know hard it is to find proper help and staff during this pandemic. My room was spotless, all the amenities I needed to bath/clean were still offered, and you had an agent behind the desk at all times throughout the night. Never had to wait to check in or check out. Even when we requested extra towels in the morning (there were 4 of us) only had to “wait” less than a minute. Very impressed
This Fairfield Inn & Suites is perfectly located since so many restaurants within walking distance. Rooms are clean, staff pleasant and the TV is huge. The morning breakfast is horrible. Everything in wrapped packages (even the apples were wrapped in Saran Wrap) so nothing any good, except the orange juice. What a disappointment since Marriott properties have always offered a decent breakfast. The hot water was barely lukewarm thus, I didnt even enjoy a good cup of tea.
We had a great stay, it at a great location walking distance to various restaurants! Great price, clean, and the best part is that they have a smart TV, lots of hotels, inn, or suites tend to give you a basic TV with basic cable which is terrible, but qe were able to use our Netflix and HBO max accounts! But overall great stay! Pillows were flat though! I should have went and ask to replace them but I didnt, Im sure they would have if I did because the staff were great as well.
We originally booked a room at another hotel down the street because it was a great Priceline deal...but when we got there, it was worse than a cheesy horror movie. So I quickly hopped on Priceline on my phone and booked this room at tge Fairfield. While it was a little bit higher in price, it was a million times better in every way, especially really clean (which the first hotel down the street was so dirty and even breathing hurt there). The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the late pool hours was a plus. We probably would have complained about the tiny bathtub size of the pool of we went here first, but after our earlier experience, we werent complaining about anything!
This hotel was a disaster. Hard to see as it’s tucked away from the main road. Upon arriving I checked in & went to the room. The AC was set on 74 & I lowered it to 67. Two hours later it was 71.Took a shower and the shower filled up with water & I had to turn off the water and let it drain before I could finish my shower. The room was rather shabby and the pillows were awful. Hot in the room throughout the night. Woke for an early flight at 4 am & it was still 71 in the room even though the thermostat was set at 66.
This was my first time staying at a Fairfield Inn. Experience was very good. Room was large enough and very clean. I checked the mattress all around, the sofa and corners of the room. The bathroom was very modern, clean and had plenty of towels. Bathroom amenites (soap/shampoo...) were not enough for two people. TV was great nice and big. Breakfast was quick and tasty hit the spot when your on the run. Overall a nice stay. Will come back and would actually refer this specific location.
Stay at dozens of hotels over the course of a year, and after being here a week I have no legitimate complaints. The only thing that may be different than what I expected is there arent freezers in the fridges. For what good the tray freezers are they do help when you need to keep a few dinners etc. That aside they are as good as any Ive stayed in the same range hotels
For such a high price ($164 for 1 night) the room is basic and breakfast was so bad. They ran out of the only hot item before we arrived. Beds aren’t very comfortable. I dont recommend this hotel, but the one saving grace is the staff is really sweet. But seriously y’all look at this sad dry bagel in NY of all places:
The Customer Service from the staff was amazing! The rooms in times of the pandemic were really clean. I wipe everything down anyway now and no dirt or grime was on the cloth that I used to wipe down surfaces. Only downside there was no sink in kitchenette area but all amenities were up to date. Netflix on the TV in addition to local channels.
The staff was very nice. I was late to breakfast and they were very accommodating. I booked on Priceline but they still recognized my gold status. The walls were thin tho and I could hear my neighbor snoring. There is no shuttle from/to airport which was very inconvenient.
As a certified travel agent I cant recommend this place enough!!! Now that I have seen how fantastic this property is I will be using it for my client. Took my husband to see Jeff Dunham and stayed at the Fairfield Inn and Suites. It was a perfect location for us as it was a quick drive to the Times Union Center yet far enough away that we were not in the heart of the city near the capital. We were right next to several restaurants and two nice malls for some shopping in the morning. Our room was a King room and it was HUGE. Everything was spotless and the bed was comfortable. Walk in shower was just what we needed after a long drive and being smooshed in with thousands of people. Staff was simply wonderful! The gentleman at the front desk was witty and charming even though it was late when we checked in. The morning crew was equally fantastic. Breakfast was hot and ready to go with several options both hot and cold. We were not there long enough to enjoy the pool but we did peak in and it was beautiful as was the fitness room. We will be going back again for sure. This Wolf Rd location has many many perks.
Mobile check in with no problems.Plenty of parking.Front Staff welcoming & polite , thanked me for my loyalty.Room needs major cleaning. Underneath the bed was disgustingly filthy with dirt, cobwebs , dust , food, trash & hairbands. I also wouldn’t recommend using the pull out bed unless you’re prepared to clean it. There was an exoskeleton of some sort of small bug on the bed, but I didn’t find any other evidence of bugs.Continental breakfast with coffee provided in the morning. As seen in the photo, I wouldn’t recommend drinking the water located to the Left of the coffee station. The water container just looks Gross.I was awoken many times from door slamming at all hours.I would only book this hotel again if it was my only option. There is three other Marriotts on Wolf Road.Choose wisely
This is a new hotel that does not fully open until September 2019. We took advantage of better rates during its breaking in period while construction was still going on during the day. Customer service was top notch and the rooms were super clean. Breakfast had a varied selection of items that were quite good. The only reason I gave it a 4-star instead of a 5-star is because the front desk failed to honor a wake-up call we requested.
King suite. Room was super clean. Bed very comfortable. Overall the hotel was in very good condition. Clean, updated, and friendly staff. Pool is open by reservation. Taking covid precautions very well. Id stay here again anytime. It cost a little more but well worth it. You get what you pay for.
This is a brand new building with completely modern interior. My room had a nice big bathroom with the sink inside, unlike other Fairfields Ive been to which sometimes have tiny bathroom closets where you can barely open the door. The service at checkin and breakfast were great. The only downside is, as warned, the construction out front of the building. It was hard to tell I was even at the right hotel since it was a huge construction zone. There was plastic over all the windows which looks bad. However none of these are really problems once you get past the cosmetics. Noise wasnt an issue since the construction was daytime only.
The place was nice customer service was A+The place was clean and nice. The only problem was the heated pool was freezing and I was told that the engineer would come tomorrow to fix the problem...also there was a fireplace out front where me and the family was hanging out an the it wasnt working and was told again the the engineer would come tomorrow to fix it...same thing with the ac in my room. the temperature was stuck at one place and would not go higher or lower and was told the engineer would come to fix it .... beside those problem love that this place was on a strip of shopping areas and food places made everything easy.
We were aware there would be noise from workers outside the hotel, but they were inside too, including on our floor — the 3rd floor. We were given a handicap access room, which we didn’t request, and there were multiple lights on the wall flashing on and off all night. We called the front desk and were told there’s no way to turn them off — very annoying. Then the alarm clock went of at 5 o’clock. We probably should have checked it before we went to bed, but it seems like the housekeeping staff should have checked it too. Not a great hotel to stay right now if you want to get a good night’s sleep. The breakfast was good but not great. The breakfast area was clean and new, but the scrambled eggs were very watery and we couldn’t eat them.
I didn’t notice the small not at the bottom of my receipt when I booked this hotel that it was under construction. When I pulled up I thought it had to be closed-plastic on the windows, cranes in the parking lot, no front entrance. I found my way in and asked “are you even open” - the nice guy at the front desk told me that they were and assured me that the rooms were fine and most brand new. I did receivea newly refurbished room but my poor coworker got a room with plastic on the window and old nasty carpeting! Be sure to request a room on the backside of the hotel! I think Marriott should have called me when I made reservation to let me know about extent of renovations. I’m a Marriott Member!
Hotel itself was OK. Otherwise, very noisy, lots of doors slamming at all hours. Very loud, heard it all night. Was told there was breakfast in the morning, when I went down at 8:15, lights off no nothing, you either have it or you dont. No one at front desk to ask about it either. Lots of other hotels in this area, this one might not be the one.
Hotel is under heavy construction. Our A/C didnt work. We were given another room and A/C didnt work in that room either. Our neighbor indicated theirs wasnt working either. Hotel will probably be great when construction is done but it seems like price should reflect current situation and it really doesnt. Breakfast was great and easily the best part of our stay.
Beautiful hotel. Decent breakfast with decent variety of choices. However, coffee ran out and there was no move from any staff to get it refreshed. Internet service was not good so that was the only think that did not work well, but it is important. Location, cleanliness, updated rooms all excellent. Please fix the wifi connection!!
The rooms have been updated but the third floor hallway ceiling tiles are still water stained. The lobby area is nice and the breakfast area is large enoughThe decaf coffee every morning was stone cold and it took forever to resolve this issueBreakfast items were always running out
This will be a nice hotel when the renovation construction is finished. There are numerous pluses related to the closeness of restaurants. Prospective guests should be warned about the ongoing construction noise and dust. Once inside , at the back it is nice and there is an adequate exercise room and pool.
The staff is very friendly at this hotel. They understood my needs being there for business travel. I had a King Suite. The room had a lot of space and I felt at home. The hotel is located in a great area. There’s a mall around 3 minutes away. There’s plenty of restaurants in the area. There’s a movie theater in the vicinity. I will revisit this hotel on my next trip.
I had a nice 3 day stay although I was very unhappy that the pool did not open until 4pm Nd it was bad enough we only got a hour slot Nd it closed at 8pm so it was a struggle because other people wanted to swim too and there was no hot sandwiches for breakfast my whole stay but staff were okay and rooms were nice
Being an very experienced traveler, I have to say, I was never a Fairfield Inn customer. This hotel had been a Cortyard, which I had stayed in many times before.Surprisingly great experience, hi 5 to the crew and hotel over all. This WILL be my go to in the Albany area in the future.
We only spent one night..flying out in am fron airport..Interior nice .pool and gym..Rooms clean ..staff friendly ..locatiob perfect ..close to airport and our favorite reataurants..exterior ick..they are doing work..and I an sure it will be nice eventually but our room had a view of garbage this time

2022-08-23We stayed in this hotel while visiting friends in the area. The location could not be better! It is close to many restaurants and shopping! And the airport is not far from it either! The hotel was very clean and the free breakfast was the perfect way to start the day! The staff was polite and helpful! They also have a pool, albeit a small size but a pool perfect for cooling off! Parking is right is front which is super convenient!

2022-06-09Great location, excellent service, very clean and exceptionally well maintained, inside and out.Varied breakfast offerings, fitness center, guest coin laundry, large rooms with ample workspace.Wish the rooms had operable windows or roof toilet exhaust fans were not turned off in rooms when guests are out. As I have been a long term guest, this has contributed to the problem of stale air, odors. The carpets were recently cleaned but they were not dry when guests were allowed back in rooms. Outside service cleaned entire property in on day.The front desk is staffed with service pros.Incredible value - this property suffers from low visibility, lack of signage, and hard to recognize and other Marriotts in the area are easier to identify.VERY close to Albany Airport and has complimentary shuttle service.

2022-02-26Nice sized room. King sized bed plus a couch that folded out into another bed if needed. Nice choice of breakfast items included with room. 4 stars only because they never brought the extra blanket and pillows we called down for. Definitely recommend this place.

2022-07-22My stay was excellent! It was clean, spacious, convenient, staff was friendly and accommodating. From the General Manager to the young ladies who had checked me in and checked me out, to the housekeeping staff, and breakfast lady working that morning! Will definitely be back when my travels allow me to be!

2022-02-27I flew into Albany, NY on some personal business this weekend and stayed at the Fairfield Inn, which is about two and a half miles from the airport. The room itself was very comfortable, especially the bed, and it had a very nice bathroom shower - which is something I always appreciate. The room itself seemed to be pretty well insulated from outside noises, which is also something I appreciate.I dont know if I will have occasion to be in Albany again anytime soon, but if I do, I will very much consider returning to this property.

2022-07-151st time staying at this location and It was really nice. Spoke to a female manager , who was knowledgeable and respectful . Spoke with the night male employee and he was funny and kind. The location was decently clean. Would go back, but I saw what must be the morning manager yelling and belittling the staff as soon as he arrived. Won’t come back to a place that doesn’t treat the staff with respect sorry. It was just uncomfortable watching.

2022-07-10This is an update Fairfield, it is no longer Fairfield inn but Fairfield. The room is modern like a courtyard hotel. The room was clean and the bed was super super comfortable. But the breakfast, is the worst Fairfield breakfast I ever had.

2022-01-13Positive: Convenient location. Nice room. TV and beds were very good. Fitness center was good. Negative: Breakfast was as good as could be expected during Covid. Housekeeping was deficient. Shouldnt have to ask for extra soap, shampoo, and towels.
