My wedding party stayed here a few weeks ago and I was so happy with the service! The staff was amazing- accommodating, sweet and very gracious. Isabel and Luis were right there the morning we were getting ready to bring in extra chairs for the girls and I to get ready. Willie, Joe and Mike were wonderful at the front desk and made my entire party feel like VIPs.The only issues I encountered were a severe lack of parking and a mix up with our room block. For some reason, the extra night we added was showing up in the system at the hotel itself, but not in the corporate system. However, the front desk staff did everything they could to try to rectify the situation.
Positive: The hotel was clean and well cared for. Negative: Had a terrible smell- in the morning light, it appears to be right next to the (now closed) landfill. Its in the middle of nowhere. The breakfast was supposed to go till 9:30a- by 8:57a everything was put away. No hot water for tea at 930a. Never again.
Ive never had a problem with any Marriott facility, but Im surprised that there was no closet to hang garments, there was no ironing board nor an iron. Who designed the new configuration of the Marriott hotels? They are now trying to be too modern and are missing all the little things that made them special. Since Marriott changed their decor, a lot of warmth is missing,
Not used to staying at a marriott where theres nothing around. I was not very familar with SI so as a long time Marriott customer I trusted it would be fine. Staff was nice and room was clean. Young man working at night recommended a good diner that was opened 24hrs that was excellent and Im sorry we didnt get his name but he made a good call.
Flight cancelled last minute, Marriott found us a room close by and arranged for a late check-in. The front desk was ready for us and got us checkin quickly which is all you want at 2am. She was very friendly and professional. I told her I had to leave at 6am, she had coffee ready for me, so thoughtful.
Positive: This is my second time staying at the hotel, but this experience was much better. Overall, the room was clean and the location was perfect for the purpose of my travel. Negative: The shower faucet has something that either looked like residue from products or rust. The door did not close all the way unless you gave it a good push, and it had a gap. Parking was the worst, ended up parking on the street.
My mother and I enjoyed our stay overall. The front desk staff is kind and helpful, and the room was very clean. We were a bit surprised the room did not have a microwave, which we could have used during our stay. The rooms AC/heat did not work where it would either be extremely hot or very cold. We did alert the front desk during check-out, and they said they would fix it before the next guest arrives. I did not try the free breakfast, but my mom did, and it was decent. We were hoping they had the oatmeal cups included since it was a grab-and-go due to covid.
This is a middle of the road hotel. When I stayed the restaurant or bistro was closed, not sure why as the hotel was fully booked that weekend. The breakfast is poor unless you are under 12 years old or dont really eat breakfast. The parking is limited as you are competing for parking with two other hotels. The rooms are nice and overall clean but there is nothing special of the rooms. They are standard room that is a step above your red roof inn, etc. This is a good stay if you dont have a lot of expectations other than a clean, friendly place to rest your head for the night.
We chose this property because of what we saw on line. We assumed it was a typical Fairfield Inn. I expected it to be clean and safe. When we drove up I was shocked. The location was in an industrial area. Poorly lit. There were people congregating in the parking lot. The lobby reeked if cigarette smoke. We were not comfortable staying there. We had to scramble to find another property. Luckily we have platinum level status. We could cancel. I have never had such an experience before. It is not representative of Marriott
Have stayed at this hotel several times in the past month and have consistently found it to be consistently clean and well maintained, and the staff hard working and conscientious. My only complaint(and its a small one considering the present state of affairs) is having to ask for ice at the front desk. The front desk person usually ends up having to go and get it which distracts him from his duties(a very hard working person). I get the whole Covid thing, but havent heard of anybody contracting the disease from an ice maker. If contact concerns are an issue, put a box of tissue and a trash can near the machine so that people dont have to touch the dispensing button, or have a dedicated hospitality person on hand to take care of this. Otherwise a great hotel that will certainly be seeing more of my business.
Our purpose for this trip was a quick overnight stay. The hotel decor and room were fine and we felt they took the COVID sanitization issues seriously. The hotel is located with other hotels but in a very sketchy area. Across the street seemed to be a junky area but it did not impact our security. Once youre inside you wouldnt notice this location challenge. Upon check-in the gentleman was fine but not offering a warm reception. He seemed to do the minimum expected. He didnt share that breakfast was turned to a take and go situation due to COVID but that was not an issue for us. Would have been nice for him to share or explain that upon check-in. All in all, an adequate stay for a simply overnight.
Positive: Front desk ¿Joe¿ really cool guy. Negative: Room was dirty. Sheets were old from previous stay, bathroom need repairs. Probably just one bad room and I was too tired after 12 hours drive to call at 2am and switch the room, Breakfast was a sandwich has pork and I don¿t eat pork no other option.
The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is that they staff was very curtious and the room was clean. The food was DISGUSTING. I understand due to Covid the breakfast was “to go” but microwave biscuits and eggs in plastic that was soggy and gross? They could have done better. The location was near the old dump and the odor at night made me want to vomit! We covered our nose and ran inside from the parking lot. There was No Wifi connection on the 5th floor. I told them, they said they’d report it but for the six days, it was non existent.
The staff is amazing and very friendly! The hotel itself is a little disappointing. The whole time we were there the smell of cigarettes and weed filled the place. It smelled like I was in a cheap bar, not a hotel. I heard several adults arguing loudly through our shut door. It felt as if I were in a Super 8 motel or something. The room was clean and we didnt have any problems that way. It was just the other disrespectful guests that were there. Theres not too much to do around the immediate area but there are restaurants close by and its a 25 minute ride to the Staten Island Ferry. They are in the process of remodeling, so the rooms and the lobby look really nice. Its just the environment that was garbage. Id consider looking elsewhere if you actually want to relax at the end of a busy day until they can crack down on this
Solid place with a very nice staff and nice room. However, parking is a problem (not enough), no breakfast (because of NYC covid Im guessing, have to give 24hrs notice for room clean and is kind of inconvenient to get to. Dont get me wrong, this place is fine to stay at, but wouldnt be my 1st choice.
They refused me a receipt, the deposit was excessive (took forever to get back to me as well) and the room is not even relatively close to worth the price they charge. Its next to a part of a former toxic dump so while your choice is your own, I personally felt very grossed out by the thought of drinking the water. If you get there late....theres zero restaurants besides a pizza shop closed at that time. They are not going to tell you this but I will, the only place with food is the gas station up the street. The one positive I can say about the neighborhood, entirely independent of the hotel itself, is theres a nice historic cemetery on a hill not too far, just make sure you have the right hill because the sitting directly behind this hotel was part of one the Eastern coasts biggest landfills for decades
It was ok. Check in was easy etc but there was a VERY noisy family on our floor, kids kept screaming till 2.30am. Despite several warnings by the front desk it didn’t stop till the police finally arrived to take care of business. The next night it was similar again.. Our room wasn’t made.
Had a great stay here. I travel for work all the time at midprice hotels such as this, Hampton inn, Hilton garden inn, residence inn, courtyard by Marriott etc. The room was clean and quiet which is the most important feature of any room ever. This is totally on par with the competing brands from Hilton and Marriott. since its Staten island not Manhattan, the parking is free which is delightful. Convenient to the Staten island expressway and Staten island Mall so you can run errands. Front desk staff was great! James bent over backwards to make sure I had a great stay.
I actually ended up at this hotel because of a fluke. I was staying at another hotel and had a very bad experience and this was the first hotel that popped up when I searched online. I was pleasantly reminded of how great the Marriott chain of hotels are. The staff was great and they were definitely clear signs that they were following the guidelines recommend it during the pandemic. The general manager Dalay was very kind
I stayed here for my engagement and regret it. The room was filthy, tub was filthy, the romance package was not executed as requested and it caused tons of stress and delays for what should have been a seamless perfect evening. Regret choosing this hotel for that special occasion and will reconsider for further needs. Wasnt worth the cost.
Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. I. can’t even believe that Marriott has lent their name to this hotel. This is the old SI hotel and nothings changed on the last 20 plus years I stayed there. The smell is awful, the upkeep is terrible. The only good thing about this hotel is the staff.
I want to start by saying I stand by the Marriott brand and its the only hotel for me, however, I wont be staying at this one ever again. The location is what really threw me off. There is a factory very close by and the smell in the area was just nauseating. Because of the location, they have a painted NYC skyline on a blind that doesnt open or move up. Meaning you can never really look outside, get natural sunlight, and it makes you feel trapped in a box. I realize the location doesnt have desirable views, but I would rather be able to see outside rather than feel like I am going claustrophobic- the rooms are small enough, and thats fine, but the window with the blind that doesnt open really made it a no go for me.
Very elegant and clean hotel with modern decor. Rooms are a nice size and the beds were very comfortable. Included breakfast was delicious. Check out time was noon which is super convenient. Staff was very friendly. If I need to stay in the area again I would definitely look to book with this hotel again.
Awful. The fact the room was even given to me was a joke. Either no one really cleaned the bathroom or they don’t care . And the Toilet was broken! The handle was literally falling off, there’s no way someone cleaning did not notice this if they even attempted to clean it. I noticed just walking in the bathroom. Shower was a rusty mess, and walls were stained.
Going to NYC for the fort time with family we decided to stay at this hotel thinking it was close to the ferry and would have awesome shuttle service etc. boy we’re we surprised. It took us 25 minutes of riding on the ferry, 15 minutes to wait for shuttle, and shuttle drive to hotel was at least another 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. We were surprised to arrive and check in to our room and upon opening the door to be assaulted with very strong cigarette smoke like someone had just then been smoking a pack of them. Rolling out bags back down from that fifth floor to the service desk we got a different room with no sympathy or sorry and rolled our stuff back up to that same floor. This new Room was decent and quiet and bed comfy. We are that night at the restaurant and never again. It took my wife an hour to get her Thai chicken wrap while ours was served and already eaten. She had to take it up to our room. As for the breakfast they shut it down early and it also takes a long time to get anything refreshed such as scrambled eggs. All in all being a gold status member meant nothing while there and customer service in everting just didn’t care. It will be hard to recommend staying here unfortunately and we are always recommending. I am sorry.
No towels in the room. They placed us next to a screaming child and a crying infant walls seemed paper thin. That means literally no sleep for the night. 120 dollar “incidental” hold on my card when other hotels on the same block charge 50. Phone in room didn’t work. Just very minor annoyances. Will not be going back.Update: my stay was February 13th it is now April 6th and they still have not returned the hold on my card. When I call corporate I get no where. The staff is rude and basically tells me “oh well when you get it back you get it back”. NEVER AGAIN.
Stay away from this place for multiple reasons. Dont know where to start but here goes. I travel up and down the East Coast because of work. My company pays for the hotels for each time I travel. When asked where I want to stay in Staten Island I requested the Fairfield Inn by Marriott. Thinking the word Marriott was show pride and prestige. First day checking in was pretty smooth did not feel the customer service was greeting like normal Hotel. Person at the front desk was playing with their cell phone didnt realize that I was standing in front of them. I get checked in go up to the room and noticed right off the bat no microwave in the room and the bathroom overhead lighting was not working. I called the front desk and ask them where is the microwave and report that the light in the bathroom is not working. Customer service advised me that because of covid-19 no rooms have microwaves and that she will put a trouble call for the light. Now I truly dont understand why you cannot have a microwave in the room when once you to check out arent the room supposed to be thoroughly cleaned all surfaces need to be wiped down the refrigerator needs to be wiped down so why cant a microwave. If I want to use the microwave I have to leave my room and go downstairs to the front desk. I work night shift so I get to the hotel about 5:30 in the morning as soon as I get off the elevator on the second floor the hallway is overwhelmed with the smell of marijuana being burned. You can hear people in one of the room yelling and know this is 5:30 in the morning. I called the front desk and it seems like I was bothering them letting them know that theres people yelling at 5:30 in the morning. I go to the lobby to grab a breakfast bag which contains small bowl of cereal , granola bar, yogurt and a breakfast sandwich that you have to microwave right there in the lobby. Now Ive been in this hotel for almost two weeks my light has yet to be fixed, now the only thing I get for breakfast is a bowl of cereal because they tell me that theyre waiting on deliveries. The smell of marijuana still in the air not as bad as it was. The cleaning ladies come random times even though Ive told the front desk not to clean my room until after 1 pm. Every morning I come in person at the front desk dont even acknowledge me their head is buried in their phone or there no one at the front desk Ive been to many mom and pop places where you walk in and they stop what theyre doing just to say good morning or hello, is there anything I can help you. A simple greeting to make somebody feel welcome. Now you may be thinking that Im nitpicking but Im a firm believer if youre going to pay a high price for low budget performance go somewhere else. If it wasnt for my company already paid in advance for this hotel I would have looked for somewhere else. I have one more day left in this hotel and I cant wait to leave. I hope this review helps
I just checked in. Its renovating so no wlecoming.. its all dirty. The receptionist Tom asked my id n credit card, then he left the desk by saying you r all set. I asked him the direction because Its my first ever stay in here. He said oh go straight n make a left. I asked twice about my car parking but his response was very cold. I know hotel business is not good these days but these type of employees make it worse. N yes I paid 125.99 for a night stay and I didnt even get a single water bottle. The house keeping said that they dont provide water. Like seriously???
We checked in on a Monday in August and on Tuesday a storm hit. We ended up staying with no power, no hot water, and no A/C for most of our stay. Asked for 2 nights complimentary and they agreed to 1. Stayed a total of 4 nights. I realize it was an act of God, but others in our group got a refund. After checking my latest cc statement, still no refund. I called AGAIN and they said none would be given. Not good customer service!
No remote to tv someone else from a different room. I asked to change rooms nothing they can do. It went on all night got no rest. Floors were gross. 2 shower curtains an floor still got soaked. No parking at all. Never again for what I paid an what I got im not happy.
I do want to say Elizabeth (Liz) the housekeeper was very personable & professional she answered all my questions made sure when I had to switch my rooms because the a/c & heating , mini refrigerator wasn’t working !! She made me laugh smile and gave me extra towels !!! She is a great housekeeper I would come back just off the strength of her positive attitude!!!!!
Me and my Boyfriend had a 9 night stay here to visit his family. We are from Cali and we had absolutely no problems at all. In fact we loved the stay, service, comfort, staff, maintenance service, bar, cafe, lil market, breakfast had alot of variety and the free ride the S.I ferry was a big big plus for us. The only default is since our room was right in front of the elevator we could hear ppl/everyone talking when they come out of the elevator. But besides that a very quiet hotel. I will definitely stay here next year I visit.
It was a very clean and updated hotel but the only downside was when I asked for new sheets and towels, which they brought, but to my stock they didn’t change the sheets which I found really weird. But overall it was a nice stay and the employees I did interact with were nice.
Please be sure the rate agreed upon is what will be charged to your card. Even if you manually check-in, get an email rate confirmation. I was told one rate then charged a much higher after I looked at receipt. Spoke to manager whom later adjusted. Staff isn’t hospitable. Only stay here if you just need somewhere quick to lay your head if nothing else is available. Hotel has potential but not very inviting. Once they have your money, service is irrelevant to them. Keep that in mind if booking. I stay at many hotels & rarely do reviews but made it a point to fill out a review on this one. Good luck.
We enjoyed our stay at the Fairfield Inn and Suites. We were staying there for a wedding, and loved the lobby area where we could gather after the event. The front desk and housekeeping staff were warm and welcoming. The only issue, which is why I didnt rate it and excellent, was the rude breakfast staff person. She was nasty and short with several people in our party. Otherwise, I would have rated this property as excellent.
If i can give it 0 stars i would. I travel to lots of places and go to very nice hotels and this was by far the worst hotel that i have ever step foot in. it was very dirty, the towels and pillowcases were very disgusting and the bathroom had a bad smell when i first got my room. the employes are very rude and unacceptable, i wouldnt even recommend this hotel to someone i hate with all my heart.
We got the room to escape the kids for the holiday. Instead we were placed in a. Room next to a screaming toddler and a crying infant. The wall as are paper thin we did not sleep at all. No towels in the room and the phone to call downstairs didn’t work. We will not be going back no matter the price. Stay away...
Due to bad weather at Newark airport my flight connections were missed. I called Marriott booking number since I am a Bonvoy member. The booking agent found me this hotel. She told me that there was a shuttle bus to and from the airport and this was why I chose this location. She then instructed me to call the hotel directly to have them send it. When I called the front desk after paying for my room he informed me their shuttle only ran to and from the Staten Island ferry and that the booking agent had given me the wrong information. Since it was after midnight and it had been a long day, with very few hotel rooms available, I had no choice but to get an Uber to the hotel. The desk clerk Mr Cooper was very helpful and understanding of my situation and apologized profusely for the misunderstanding. He arranged for me to have a late check out since my new flight wasn’t until late the following day. He provided me with the necessary toiletries as the my luggage was still at the airport, and I had limited items in my hand luggage. Over all my stay was pleasant and although my situation wasn’t entirely the hotels fault they made it easier for me to continue on my way. I was traveling alone and trying to navigate an area I was not familiar with and they made it less nerve racking.
The room was comfortable and quiet and we had a very restful sleep until the next morning. ***y flights were cancelled and they took a lot of people inn. We were pampered by the ever helpful front desk team lead by Nicole. The *** at the front desk was very helpful and friendly and made our arrival and sign-in an easy chore. Do not love this hotel.
This was just acquired by Marriott and I understand that over time this might be a hotel I would stay at in the future. Right now I would not use it again in the future. The lobby are has been renovated and the staff at check in was excellent. However, the room I was in (I was upgraded to suite) was not renovated and was in poor condition. Clean but old and needs updated. Bath sink water ran slowly. Parking was little or not at all if you return late.
Booked a room block for my wedding and Anne was so accommodating and helpful! We had about 27 rooms booked and everything went smoothly. We enjoyed having the bar open for the afterparty, and the guests enjoyed eating breakfast together the next morning. Shout-out to Nila in the breakfast bar, she was great! The shuttle they provide is only 11 passengers, so we had to book our own because of the number of guests. Thanks Anne and staff for a great experience !
We stayed at the Fairfield on Staten Island while attending my cousins funeral. His death was unexpected and traumatic. From the minute I called to make our reservation, until we checked out, Camille took incredible care of us. She managed to keep our families rooms near each other and arranged for early check-in to allow us to get ready for the services. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. During breakfast the next morning, Camille came over to our family in the dining room to see if there was anything we needed. She cared for us as a grieving family and not just hotel guests. Her compassion and kindness went above and beyond our expectations. She helped us during a difficult time. This was our first stay at a Fairfield Inn. If Camille represents the quality of service at all Fairfield Inns, it will be a hotel we regularly look to stay when traveling. She has represented your hotel with the highest distinction of excellence and quality. We will forever be grateful for her hospitality and thoughtfulness.
From the moment we stepped into this brand new, modern, techy hotel, we knew this would be the place we’d go to every time we come to Staten Island. The rooms are very spacious, and have refrigerators and loads of charging stations. The kind and thoughtful staff cannot be beat, the FREE hot breakfasts including waffles, omelettes, all kinds of breads and pastries, fruit, cereal, and so much more we’re all fabulous, the Bar/Restaurant is just what’s needed there and the food is terrific, and if you want to go to NYC / Manhattan, there’s a beautiful Mercedes Van driven by the incredibly nice Danold that takes you to the Ferry terminal. The Hotel is in a fabulous location right off the expressway so you can get to NJ, Brooklyn or NYC with ease.
I used the Fairfield Inn for my room block for my wedding at the end of June and used the bridal suite and the adjoined room below it as our getting ready rooms. Theyre not huge but we were able to fit in a make up artist and 2 hairdressers, a photographer, videographer and about 10 girls! Anne was amazing to work with during the planning process, very responsive and accommodating. We were able to keep the bar open for an afterparty and the space is fantastic. Our guests also ate dinner and breakfast there multiple days and both were delicious! And everyone took full advantage of the free shuttle to the ferry and had no issues at all! We had too many people to make it work for us but they also have a deal with Grand Oaks Country Club to use the shuttle to transport wedding guests if you are want that. We ordered buses but Anne made sure to let us know that the shuttle was still available if we needed it in an emergency!
The Fairfield Inn is clean, well- decorated and has a lovely staff. The rooms aren’t large but it has all your necessities. It’s in an area that is older and under development but within a couple of miles you will find everything you need. I recommend staying there but I suggest you eat your dinner meal somewhere else.
Best friendly staff Ive experienced in years. This team the owners put together genuinely cared about the smallest of details. The staff makes this the best property ON Staten Island and better service than the Marque or others Ive stayed at in Manhattan at a fraction of the cost.Imagine a dinner cooked to perfection at a Fairfield inn, by a amazingly talented Chef.
At first I was very scared about staying in this hotel from the previous ratings. However, this hotel was so clean and the customer service was phenomenal! They had an amazing buffet for breakfast that was free. The rooms were very clean and looked up to date. I have stayed in many hotels before and this one is by far my favorite. We stayed for a weekend and it was in a safe environment. We will be back to this hotel.
This hotel is not pleasant, we stayed for 2 nights. Vending machines had out of date products. The entire hotel is being remodeled and is gross and dirty. Front desk receptionists are rude and direspectful. Only good thing is the cleaning staff on our floor. She was very nice and sweet. Do not recommend this hotel at all.
Had a terrible check in experience after a very long drive with our baby and preschooler. Ended up getting the wrong room and locked out of our room for 40 minutes. Messed up our wedding block rate and had to inquire with multiple staff members before finally getting a manager (as there were no managers on duty on Sunday !?!). Had to sleep 3 to a bed - since they didn’t have the double bed room we had booked.
We only slept there. the room was ok at best. not very cozy but functional. The room we stayed in needed to be vacuumed. The guests before us must have broken some glass and there was still a small pile of it in the corner. Other than that everything was fine. Price was good for the area. The staff was pleasant. Recommend for a cheap quick overnight while in the area.
Breakfast vouchers were not given on check in, so I had the embarrassment of having to explain to the waitress that breakfast was included and had to go to reception to ask for the vouchers. Great Location to New York. Its a nice view and the ferry is free. I highly recommend this hotel.
The staff at the Fairfield Inn & Suites New York Staten Island were wonderful. They made this work trip easier to be away from home and much more enjoyable overall. I would highly recommend this property in the future and plan to stay here again when I am in the area for business.
The rooms are very clean. Yajaira and Matt at the front desk were very helpful and provided useful information on sightseeing in NYC. The ferry ride provides a beautiful view of ***hattan. We are very satisfied with our stay and will return to the hotel for any future visit to NYC.
Literally the worst place ever. I had to check myself in the hotel because the worker was high and could barely move, when I told staff the next day they did nothing about it and told me for 2 days straight that management would contact me but they never did unbelievable worst hotel in NY.
Rooms are wonderful and very comfortable. Also very clean. The best part is the 5 cent breakfast the give us!( sarcasm on the breakfast) everything beyond the breakfast was great. Also got cereal with Orange juice. Not even milk for that. Come on Marriott do Better. Ive stayed at many before and never was served this! Holiday Inn next door serves real breakfast!
Everything was OK HOWEVER no one addressed the MARAJUANA ISSUE I complained to the front desk about the whole time we were there I was sick every time I smelt it someone in the 3 rooms around us were smoking MARAJUANA Ruined my 1st Valentines day with my Marc. The front desk did NOTHING
Everyone that worked there was very pleasant and helpful. The gave us recommendations for where to eat and sights to see. From Anne in the Sales Office, Ed the General ***ager, Ray at Lillies Restaurant to the staff at the front desk and restauranteveryone was extremely helpful and friendly. Good value for money.
As a former Staten Islander I was surprised at the quality in which the hotel possessed. I swore when I left Staten Island that I would never return. Well, in the off chance that I have to......again, I definitely know where Im going to stay. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
While the room was super nice the breakfast was horrible! What kind of hotel puts their breakfast bar in the middle of a hallway?! People couldn’t get around it...it was really awkward. There wasn’t a clear designated place to sit down and eat. There was no variety...2 pieces of bread, 2 bagels, bunch of meat dishes....the whole set up didn’t look clean/sanitary. Not worth the money and will not be staying here again.
I was very skeptical when we were driving there, but once we got there the hotel was clean and the front desk was very helpful. Joey was stellar, he helped us out with travel accomadations to the Ferry and took the time to go out of his above and beyond for us this week. Our room was cleaned everyday. The hotel is under remodeling but never interrupted our stay with noise or dirt. Three hotels all sharing the same parking lot but we were still able to find parking all the days we were there. We really liked this place and will return.
Do not waste your money this place is absolutely gross spoke to the manager after my stay and told me that I had a complementary stay for the trouble then went to book my night and he told me he never said that and I can have 50$ off my stay do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else but here
The rooms are very nice and clean. Housekeeping doesnt supply enough towels or toilet paper. The last night of our stay, our keys stopped working. When we went to the front desk to let them know, we never got an apology or an explanation as to why our keys were not working.
Very nice hotel, clean room too.parking is limited as there are 2 other hotels beside it and only a hand few parking spots available, hot breskfast are great, bacon, sausage, french toast, eggs, cereal, coffee .juice i went with a group. The only down fall is we had to keep getting our room key fixed because it would stop working after a day of two.
Hotel was under remodel and they did not have breakfast or vending machines. They sent us across the parking lot to the Best Western for breakfast and it was terrible! Eggs were laying in water and the sausage looked like it was under cooked! The room was clean and comfortable. But they should have listed on the website they were under construction!
We stay often on Staten Island to visit family and this hotel is in a small complex just off the highway with a Holiday Inn Express and a Comfort Inn. The waitstaff were more interested in flirting with the group of contractors who took up the whole bar area. The location is central and very close to anywhere you need to go.
Friendly staff, room was clean, with a good size. Bathroom was spacious and nice. Restaurant had good food--I recommend the Buffalo Wings! Employees were friendly. The shuttle was unavailable for the weekend but it wasnt a bad trip taking a lyft to the ferry. Would recommend!
The staff were very nice, but upon arrival (We were there in December) they said it was their off season and they were not very busy so we found it odd that our room was dirty. There wasnt sand on the floor or garbage, but URINE STAINS in the bed!! We came in after midnight and had to go to the front to request clean sheets! Will not return!
They are disgusting I used to work here the hotel and its owner should be ashamed dont stay here all sheets and blankets are stained..the girls are rushed to do a already half ass job I sent a email to the corporate and no response...hiding blood stains and old urine stains on the blankets with sheets some rooms dont even have any they clean the furniture with stainless steel cleaner no vacuums work could not perform my job properly the lady that runs the housekeeping department is fully aware of the nasty things going on and she does nothing but talk you to hide and get mad she rushes us when I use to work there to clean rooms cant vacuum inside of her tubs nasty by the way I just stopped working here like days ago... No washcloths to put in rooms no working vaccum no soap for guests and they have the audacity to rush guests out cause filiemina the lady who runs the department doesnt wanna be there worse hotel to be a housekeeper period oh I have pictures too
While the renovation has disrupted their regular lobby, we already knew that coming in. Medium sized, clean rooms, helpful staff. On the flip side, the coffee maker wasnt working and when I called, they replaced it. Coffee in the breakfast buffet isnt great either.Overall, a comfortable experience staying here.
Convenient location, clean and breakfast included. The beds are actually very comfy. If you want to visit NYC there is a free shuttle from the hotel to the Ferry which is also free (not sure about hours though). Parking lot was full and it was a bit inconvenient because we had to park the car at the back of the hotel and there is only one entrance. In general very good overall for the price.
Great location if youre driving. Its close enough to New Jersey and also Manhattan via St George Ferry. The rooms feel new and clean. Wifi and standard breakfast was included. I had some minor problems with the door not able to lock but nothing that wasnt fixed in over 5 seconds. Good value for money if youre driving to Manhattan.
I dont know if its the name but people are really missing out on the nicest and best value hotel on Staten Island. People go for a name they recognize so they are missing out on this little slice of heaven. The rooms are oversized. The beds are oversized. The bathroom is oversized. The restaurant for dinner is recommended as well as drinks. I just wish it was open later than 11 pm. The free breakfast is standard with what you get at other hotels. The maids are the best they do a great job cleaning and maintaining the rooms. The hotel even had the rare on site washing machine and dryer. Just a wonderful place to stay short or long term.

2022-06-30Stayed this Marriot Fairfield in with my late sister and her boyfriend. We wound up staying at this hotel for a little over and the better part of a week. Which, the rooms were well cleaned, presentable and very comfortable. One of my best experiences at a hotel in Staten Island all around.

2022-05-20The front desk staff were very nice. My only issue was that housekeeping only came to clean the bathroom once and I had to ask. They didn’t come to clean the room. It needed to be vacuumed, I had to ask for towels, wash cloths, I changed the bedding on one bed. I had to gather the trash. Once they knew we were staying for over a week they didn’t bother to clean the room at all. I had to ask for everything.

2022-05-02Comfortable rooms for the relatively low price, nice breakfast and free coffee (always a huge plus in my book). Room was very clean and seemed newer than other hotels in the area. Highly recommend if you need to be in Staten Island for business or a wedding.

2022-05-20Positive: The desk staff were nice Negative: Stayed for over a week almost two housekeeping only came once. Bathroom has tile chipping, I changed the linen on the bed myself, needed a vacuum, thermostat falling off the wall. Service is good if you aren¿t staying long.

2022-05-19Positive: The people at the front desk were very nice Negative: We ended up staying almost two weeks and no one was coming to clean the room I had to put the trash outside the door so they could get that after I got trash bags to bag it up. I also ended up changing the bedding with sheets that were in the drawer.
