I reached out to the leasing agent Carol who works at this companys leasing office located at 100 Friendly Court in Babylon, NY 11702, because I was interested in leasing an apartment located at 158 fire island avenue in Babylon. She had sent me a floor plan of the apartment and even mentioned in person when I went to the office that the apartment had a washer and dryer in it. I liked how the apartment looked from the pictures and paid them a $220 application fee in order to apply for the apartment, since there has been high demand for apartments lately and I wanted to reserve it. Carol even told me it was okay to break the companys protocol and pay with cash, meanwhile the payment is only supposed to be made via check/money order or by credit card. I told her I would pay by credit card and did so on December 28th, 2020. She had scheduled a time for me to visit the apartment 7 days later on January 4th, 2021. I was met by Carol at the apartment on January 4th and I had quickly realized that the vacant apartment was not the same one she had sent me through email. It was missing the washer and dryer and had a different layout from the floor plan she sent me. I confronted her about this and her response was I must have sent you a different apartment in the building on accident. I asked her if that one was vacant and she said that it is not. This is unprofessional and ridiculous that this lady took my money to apply for an apartment, meanwhile she carelessly sent me a floor plan of the wrong apartment. I requested a refund and have been contacting the main office for Fairfield Properties for the past month and one of the agents told me that it was past the 72 hour mark and she couldnt process the refund for me. I understand if it was my fault and I was suddenly not interested in the property anymore, but I was sent the wrong floor plan and this was the leasing agent Carols fault. All I have been asking for is for my application fee to be refunded. This company needs to own up for their employees mistake and do what is right for the customer.

This was my second experience renting at Fairfield at Babylon Village. You pay for the neighborhood and that’s all. There is no luxury here. Upon commencement of my lease I was shown an updated clean apartment and the apartment that was actually rented to me was far less pristine. Again, you pay for the luxury of being in Babylon Village not the apartment. The woman who completed my leasing paperwork was nice but didn’t know what she was doing. The whole process was disorganized and she failed to properly inform me about many things. Despite those faults, Maintenance was kind and professional and always helped me out. The property itself was maintained fairly well.Toward the end of my lease, I made several phone calls to the leasing and billing office none of which were returned. There was no clear protocol on how to end my lease, who to turn my keys over to, what my final payment was etc. I had some email correspondence with someone in billing who failed to answer my questions directly, rather responded in avoidance of the questions ask. It was quite bizarre actually. Overall, my experience here was okay but the people in the office were unprofessional.

I am moved out in April because the rent kept on getting higher, Even though I had a contract it says it would remain the same. I Asked when I signed the lease, How much my rent will go up and I was told $25 a month. About six months in I checked the website and they said it would be going up $40 a month at the end of the lease. Then at the end of the lease I got a bill that said it would be going up $85 a month! There is a lot of people in there and that is on Social Security and wouldn’t be able to afford the new lease. I understand the rent has to go up each year, but that was ridiculous! I moved out on April 28 and was told that I would be getting my security back at the end of the month of June. It is now July 10 and I still don’t have it even though the apartment was rented seven days after I left! If you have an option, DO NOT RENT FROM FAIRFIELD!

These people are the biggest rip-off artists. I submitted an application for apartment rental over a month ago. You have to pay $60 for the application plus a $200 good faith deposit We decided to not take the rental, but never received our deposit back as promised!Ive called the leasing office several times and never received a call back. Then even called the corporate office and have gotten the run around. Seems like Im out 200 bucks. Such thieves! Stay away.

This Fairfield complex in Babylon Village is centrally located... LIRR 2 blocks away, a playground across the Street and the grounds of the complex are inviting. Plenty of outside spaces to bring your lawn chair and relax. There are ball fields surrounding the complex. Residents are certainly not at a loss for activities. Tennis courts, basketball, handball, baseball courts on all sides. Babylon Village is a short walk away. Retail shops, restaurants, pubs, fast food places, a movie theater and a dinner theater are all within walking distance. Complex is close to beaches and a public pool is not too far away. The apartments in the complex are spacious and updated. 2 story units with balconies or terraces. Pricey but worth it. Laundry facility is right on property, as well as a good sized common room with a pool table and a gym. The common room has a modern, clean kitchen allowing the residents to rent the room for special occasions. There is a T.V. in the room which is available for residents to enjoy on any given day. People in the Complex often meet other residents in this area and enjoy the amenities together, as well as meet other neighbors. Definitely worth looking into when renting an apartment is your choice of living arrangements.

Ive been here for about a month and have had no problems. Maintenance has been quick to respond to the minor issues weve had. Neighbors are wonderful. Very happy!Update: almost one year later- still love it here and everything I said in my original review is still true!

Terrible management, cheap material and bad neighborhood. If you can, try to avoid this neighborhood in general but I can tell you this apartment is one of the worst places Ive lived. There is nothing luxury about it as advertised.
