This is a response to my previous review. I cannot speak for the main building but the Manor is unkempt and unclean. The carpets look to be decades old and covered in dried mud, dirt and whatever else has walked around there. The windows are covered in spiderwebs, dead bugs and are never cleaned. Finally, the laundry facilities are subpar, it takes 2-3 dry cycles to actually dry your clothes. Moreover, Fairview uses a money card as payment to use the machines and that card can only be refilled in the leasing office which is open from 9-5 when most students are on campus so good luck adding money to your card. Did I mention it only takes cash? All the facilities are in desperate need of upgrades

Im a grad student and have lived at Fairview Apartments for about 1.5 years so far and its been an absolutely excellent place to live. Cannot say enough good things about this apartment building and the people who manage it.The location is perfect and so convenient: 10-15 minute flat walk to Cornell campus for class, 10 minute walk to Collegetown and CTB, quick 2-minute drive or 15 minute walk to East Hill Plaza for groceries, 20 minute walk downtown to the Commons, and on the edge of a quiet, safe residential neighborhood thats nice for running in. Its pretty much central to everything and there is a bus stop right outside of the building.I did my research, and from a price standpoint, a 1-bedroom in Fairview is about $300-400 cheaper than comparable options in other buildings in the area, so its an incredible deal. All utilities (gas, heat, water, electricity, internet) are included in the monthly rent, which is amazing. Exercise equipment on site and laundry in the basement. Apartments are large and spacious, with lots of natural light, and you can request to have them furnished for a very small upcharge. The best part is the staff, particularly the lovely, warm people in the front office--Mi Jin and Gabriela are amazing! They take the time to get to know tenants and are incredibly professional and responsive to their needs. The occasional maintenance issue Ive reported has been fixed on the same day, usually within an hour. All the staff have been a delight to interact with and get to know, and they help make Fairview such a great place to live.

I had a good time living here for one year. It is 10 minute walk to the ag quad, has a bus station right outside, and the maintenance services come quickly after requests. Our townhouse is spacious and has its own washing machine and dryer, which is really convenient. Perfect spot for my first year which provide a fun and friendly environment.

My first review on google. Lived in the highrise building for the last two years. I highly recommend fairview apartment!Decent price with really convenient commute. 10 minutes to CTB, 15 minutes to Philips Hall. Bus stop right outside the apartment but u dont really need it cuz Uber. Not a walking distance to PC fresh geocery(at least I dont feel like spend an hour walking). The particular studio I lived is in excellent shape. Air-conditioned and heated. Its also carpeted. But as I know not every unit is carpeted. Did I mention spacious? Walk-in closet and a small storage room. Laundry is in the basement. There are like six or eight washer(cant really remember) and six dryer. The best part is their staffs. Ronelle is always nice and kind. And, if you need help, just talk to her. Their other staffs are always busy maintaining. As for bad appliances and so, its usually a one-day fix. In winter, they clean snow more often than the apts my friends stayed. Last winter, I had to help my friend shovel his car out. Actually, they not only maintain but also renew. For parking extra fee is required. There are also sheltered parking spaces if you need it. Its acceptable cuz the parking around Cornell is very tight.

This is a wonderful place to live. I have lived here for a year and I find this is the wonderful place I’m looking for. The location is perfect for students in Cornell, not too far from class, and the building is in good condition. The managers are helpful and they can solve all problems, they’re very nice people and they made the apartment perfect

Terrible living experience, one of the staff in the leasing office had a really bad attitude, I felt she treated us with racism and yelled at us and kept pointing at us.It was sent out to protect the Chinese from lightning. Now the epidemic is still very serious. The apartment is forcibly taken people to see the house, even if our contract expires on June 30. We understand that we can come to see the house, but we hope that they can give 3-7 days notice in advance, but we are told that they have the right to enter and leave our house at any time (this is stated in the contract, but it is not only their staff who come in by themselves) , so I still hope that I can be notified at least 3 days in advance). We had an appointment to see someone at 11:30am today, so we went out early with our cat (ESA) and waited outside to avoid contact with outsiders. But at 11;45, no one came, we sent an email to inquire and only replied that we canceled. I went to the leasing office to discuss whether they could inform us of the situation in time, but an Asian woman kept yelling at us and pointed at us, arrogant, contemptuous and discriminatory. We can understand that they are looking for new tenants, but they cannot understand our legitimate need to protect ourselves during this pandemic. Some people may not understand my anger, but I really cant accept that outsiders come in and out of my house during the epidemic, and the leasing office is not notified in time to cancel the inspection, and I want to enter and leave my house at any time without notice. If you are worried about the epidemic and don’t want to increase the risk of infection, then don’t live here. There are so many good houses, so don’t make trouble with yourself. Even if you spend an extra one or two hundred per month, don’t increase your chances of getting the new crown. We can expect it!
