Normally I would have given a better rating. However, I recently bought a wet/dry sweeper which broke. I no longer have the receipt. According to the Family Dollar website, an exchange without a receipt can be made within 30 days. I just got off the phone with store manager, Deanna Hemingway. She claims an exchange cant be made without a receipt. As soon as I told her the website states differently, she hung the phone up.

Not much to choose from. The manager is rude. She is on her personal cell phone often, even playing games while a customer is standing right in front of her register waiting to be rang up. They racial profile. They had 1 very nice, polite and professional employee there a couple of months back but since, hasnt been seen. I think maybe she was too nice to folks and so, she didnt fit in with the others. It just seems the ones that are hired, arent ever polite in the slightest but yet seem to look bothered that the customer is there, to interrupt their day. I try NOT to shop here. It is horrible that since this is such a small town that customers are left to HAVE to deal with rude employees, since often, no matter what is said of current management, things arent improved. They instead, are left to continue their employment. So, the we, the consumer is left to HATE having to go into a business where we spend our money, and hand it over to folks that treat them rudely. The employees there, shouldnt even be in any job that deals with customer relations, customer service, or any overall professionalism. They need to be made aware, as well, that even though some where masks, we can STILL see your facial expressions, we can STILL see the snarl and lack of a dang smile. The best I can day in reference to this store, is that it is clean, most of the time. The worst thing is the customer service. The most annoying thing is the wait to purchase your items, once done shopping. Store needs an overhaul on management and employees but Im guessing, it will never be done. Small town, less options, so, it gets left to be the same crao for years and years, the company doesnt care how their product is sold, as long as it is. The issue is also, the lack of care that is shown by companies, to ensure the best customer service, will undoubtedly begin to deflect customers and push them further into making their purchases solely online.

Customer service is not the best, but that’s not what people come to a dollar store for anyway. Prices are good, and selection is not bad, but it does have a rather high turnover rate. You may find something you like on one trip only to find it was a one time thing. They don’t really have much control over what they receive product wise.

Its at least Simi organized. Very little frozen and chill items.. just the basics with some bathroom and kitchen stuff. The cashier is super nice

Convenient location close to where I live, and a friendly staff. Great place to pick up everyday household items at low prices.
