Dr. Fazio and Family Practice are the best! Always finds a way to fit us in when we need to be seen quickly. If he is not available, the other medical staff are great as well and will take care of us. We have been patients of Dr. Fazio’s for years. So thankful for everything he does! The non-medical staff are very friendly and helpful as well.

I need to laugh at some of these reviews where they give a one star rating but theyve been going to this practice for 20 years. The majority of the three and under stars are during COVID. I been going here for over 20 years and never had an issue. I never really have long waits and have even been out before my appointment was to start. My only complaint is that Ive seen my doctor maybe three times in the 20 years when I was in the most dire distress. Its usually a nurse practitioner I see, but Im OK with that. Joel is a great guy, is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to.

I have gone to this Practice my entire life (40yrs). I have not needed a Dr visit in the last 3 years. I called to make an appointment for an issue and they told me I was no longer a patient because I hadnt been in 3 years. The Receptionist told me she needed to call me back because she didnt know what to do. I got a call back asking if I have any other family members who are patients (I dont, Im the only family member living in the area). She said that because I have no family members that are patients, and because I havent been in 3 years, and am no longer a patient, they CANNOT ACCEPT ME. They are not accepting new patientsIF I COULD GIVE A NO-STAR REVIEW I WOULD

I have been coming here for a few years now. I have to come in every six months for medication check for high blood pressure. I can never get an appointment without a problem. The staff is just very unfriendly. It’s never a “pleasant” experience. They just don’t seem to care weather they have patients or not.

Dr. Fazio has been our family physician for over 20 years. We are so thankful for everything he has done for us over the years.

Mom had a fall and we thought she broke her pelvis. Called MD at 11:40 am. Never got back to us until we called them back at 4:00pm. Their advise call and ambulance and go to ER. We then asked for an in home ex ray. Took all day for them to read and get back to us; no break thank God. Go somewhere else if you care about your parents. These people are awful.

I have been been a patient at this practice since I was a young child. My family and I have always loved the providers but have dreaded any time we know well have to deal with the office staff. My entire issue with this practice is the office staff. They constantly seem to be unorganized and more interested in their own personal conversations than actually helping the practice run efficiently. They are rude 90% of the time, although I can say that my experiences with Kathy are the exception. Most of the time it feels whether in person or via phone, that you are interrupting them and bothering them. Unless you are lucky enough to speak to a nurse or doctor you are treated less like a patient and more like a problem. Should you need paperwork completed for various reasons, it may be normal to bring it to the offices attention, but here youre best bet is to bring it directly to your doctor or nurse. Otherwise, prepare to call and check in periodically until its done.I more than understand what this kind of job in the healthcare field entails, and I am also aware that a strong office is the backbone to a practice. I do not understand why when this has been going on for years and noticed by many that changes have not been made. Also, I understand the problems that COVID has created and the myriad of information that needs to be provided. However, when someone is so sick, listening to the never ending automated message before options are even provided is absolutely exhausting and frustrating.LOVE the doctors and nurses, constantly unimpressed by the office. Hoping something changes soon or I may need to seek out other care.

So after being a patient of Family Practice Associates for 20+ years, I called yesterday to set up an appointment. I had not been there in a number of years( 2014 was my last visit) as there was no need for me to see a doctor. I was told that I am now considered a new patient and the receptionist would ask Dr. MICHAELS if they would be willing to take me on a s a new patient. I received a call back about 2 hours later and was informed that they were very sorry, but I was no longer going to be one of their patients. My wife, son and daughter are also patients there- I was informed that my son is still a patient as he was seen last summer, but my wife and daughter are no longer patients there. I own and operate an HVAC service company here in Syracuse, I understand that downsizing happens- but to deny care when needed seems a bit cold. A letter describing the fact that they were downsizing a couple of years ago would have maybe given me a chance to align my family with a new care provider. Thank you for leaving me in the lurch Family Practice Associates.

As others have mentioned, the receptionists are lousy and incredibly rude. You will always have issues getting prescriptions filled. You can’t even talk to a human-being about your prescriptions as they have an automated system that goes straight to a voicemail box. They won’t call you back, so you just got to hope they fill them (50/50 shot on that).Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Unfortunate, because the doctor I’m seeing here is actually quite competent and friendly, but it’s not worth having to go through all the other pain points.

Receptionist are astonishingly rude. I have worked in healthcare for 10 years and recently moved to NY. I was recommended a PA from this practice from a coworker I respect to establish care. Because of the satisfaction my coworker has for the providers at this practice I did not feel the need to seek out their reviews. Big mistake. Had I read the reviews 1st I would not have even wanted this to be my practice. Everything said below is correct. The receptionist are condescending and arrogant to say the least. The attitude they project is bad for the practice and I am honestly blown away from a business standpoint that the practice allows them to continue in their unprofessional behavior.I know 1st hand that I would not want this to be my practice, and as I mentioned before, had I read the reviews 1st I would have never even picked up the phone.
