This restaurant has become our breakfast/lunch go to place.We have experienced the best wait staff, they are all very respectful and always most helpful.The food is exceptional, the corn muffins and apple butter are great.Their southern hospitality shines thru.
Plenty of parking here and lots of shop all sorts of shops stores food establishments in. This time I came here to go to the Chinese restaurant. They have good food and the ice cream machine wasnt working at the time. The service is friendly and they have pretty waitresses there who greet you with a smile and gladly fill your water while you eat.
Very nice place. Food not that great. Had one of their specials. Nutella and cream cheese crepes. Mini crepes that tasted like eating Nutella instead of a hint of flavor. Came with 2 eggs which barely looked like 1 egg. We also had the breakfast bowl which was loaded more with potatoes instead of the rest of the ingredients. Not worth the prices. Plenty of other breakfast places in the area which are worth it. Would not go back. This is the difference between a franchise and your own place.
A cut above your basic strip mall - nice selection of stores. Best Market is a fine grocery store. My other favorite store there is D’Ore Jewelers. Owner is a doll and can get all kinds of jewelry. Very knowledgeable.
This place was delicious!!My 9 year old gave it a 10 and My 2 year old ate more than half my plate so I had to order more!Best French toast and they have sweet tea which is a huge plus for this southern girl!They also have REAL maple syrup 😍
Eggs Benedict was mediocre as the hollaindaise sauce was very bitter and the yolk from the eggs wasnt runny like it should be. Potatoes were served cold as well. My daughters kids meal was supposed to come with fruit was half a slice of an orange. A little pricey for what they give. Service was very good though and its clean place. I found it average overall.
I went the 1st time with my son, the poached eggs were perfectly cooked. The tea cups are large which is a peeve of mine when you get a tiny cup but this is a perfect size. We went a 2nd time and the poached was perfect again. One of my only complaints was due to dietary restrictions I subbed the side of regular fruit for all berries and it was the tiny cup, yet they charged me an additional $1.99. Its the little things like this that arent worth aggravating a customer over... Nix the overcharging and just let it go. The place is big and clean but very nice. Plan on waiting reallllly long during peak hours.
Found the food to be so-so and the waitstaff to be the same (no specific server per table; its staffed on a group basis). Prices were high enough that, if Im going to spend that much for breakfast, Ill go to the Premier Diner down the road. Ill have to give it another shot, however, since I did go the weekend it opened.
I came in at 3pm, not knowing that they close at 3. I asked if they was still seating people. The young gentleman, said yea becuase the sign still said open. Most places wouldnt do that so I strongly appreciate the love. The food was amazing, especially the mac and cheese was the best. Prices very reasonable. The customer service was top notch. Such a welcomed addition to the local breakfast/lunch choices. They have a team wait staff, meaning while someone will take your order and bring drinks, after that any waiter or employee will help you. Flag anyone down if you need anything or the waiter from in the back will come an ask you if you need more coffee.
Slightly disappointed. Our pancakes arrived and tasted sour. They did make a fresh batch if mix and the second round was great. Terrible chairs to sit in. Very uncomfortable. Thats the 4 star reason.
This shopping center is easy to see right off of Jericho Turnpike servicing Commack and the adjoining areas of Suffolk County. Plenty of parking and a wheel chair accessible entrance on all stores. Restaurants and retail stores. Clean facilities. Public Restrooms. Reasonably priced. We will definitely be going back.
Its okay. My eggs benedict came out cold. The Hollandaise sauce was a bit flavorless .My cousin had french toast scrambled eggs and bacon he said the scrambled eggs were fantastic. A bit on the expensive side. Very roomy so you dont feel tight squeeze. Its definitely worth of one chance try.
TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE service. It was so BAD , that I complained to the owner when I was paying my bill- and pointed out that I was leaving $1.00 tip..and I NEVER do that..The waitress was too busy to check on my party and offer free coffee refills- the food was semi warm and just terrible table service. The manager did yell after me that I could have a $25 gift card to come back- but why give them a chance - to provide BAD SERVICE TWICE?? DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ONE.
I love watching teenagers smoke cigarettes and do kick flips behind the grocery store. The underage liquor buying and the wonderful human feed factory known as the good taste buffet add an ambience that is hard to compete with. Two stars
Several shops and eateries. One stop shopping. A great big Best Market is in the shopping center. Stein Mart was a new option with new clothing options. Its in a great area and easy access to major roadways.
Mayfair Shopping Center has a wide variety of stores & establishments. Theres a Barber Shop, a Bagel Store, a Rite Aid, an extremely clean and large Best Market, a Game Stop and about a dozen other great places. Theres also a Verizon Store off to the side and 2 banks. Something for everyone.
Mayfair Shopping Center is a large strip mallIt has a Best Market, three restaurants, a very good bagel store and a variety of general merchandise stores including a Sherwin Williams. It has easy access and ample parking.
I love this place! The closest to having a Cracker Barrel on the Island...and dare I say its even BETTER!! I love me some CB but I think their menu options are a notch above! Kudos to the Toastery!!
Phenomenal experience today, as a first time diner at Famous Toastery ....The owner Brian was so awesome with a truly professional and proficient staff! Every server is your server, and they are all on top of their game!!! Food was really delicious, and having grown up in Commack, we definitely needed a place like this!! Came with my best friend of 48 years also from Commack, and she too had a wonderful dining experience.....We will be back very soon! Kudos to all at Famous Toastery....Had a really awesome experience today! Run, don’t walk to this truly fine dining establishment....
I cannot recommend the Famous Toastery. Average food; overpriced menu. They served runny eggs on the same plate with crepes. IHOP has no problem with this competition!!
This review is indicated for the famous toastery in commack, ny. I waited the 15 minutes for a table, which was fine because it was busy when I first came in. Now that I’ve been sitting at my table for 49 minutes...and still waiting, I’ve come to the conclusion that the 15 minute wait for a table wasn’t worth it. A lox cream cheese bagel, a biscuit with gravy and the famous hash still has yet to arrive. I received my juice and friend, their Coffee. No one had checked on us or updated what the wait was. I’ve watched other tables receive orders that came after us. Now it’s 1 hour sitting and I’ve gotten up and left...very upset with this place, the staff. What a joke.
Pretty good place! They dont give you too much breakfast food, which I like, but also its not cheap. Overall, service was great and the food was tasty!

Not impressed...portion sizes small... order was wrong but server NEVER came back to check on us... when I did get it again was even more wrong.. but what ever... they serve hollandaise sauce room temp.. ROOM TEMP thats a health code violation.. what the heck its egg yolks... not going back
There is a ton in one place. Grocery, Game stop, Bagel, Pet Store, Jos A. Banks, Justice, Gap, Restaurants, (Outback and Chinese Buffet among them) SteinMart, drug store, Verizon, dry cleaner, jewler and Im missing things. Ample parking, gas close by.
OMG, found this place by accident. But what a find. The service was great & speedy for take out. The food was delicious. The GRITS were so smooth & creamy. I will be recommending this place. And I will be back.
Nice and clean they have a few places that I really like, bagel store is great, ciao baby has amazing food and great drinks, and of course my favorite store Stein Mart.
Went to Famous Toastery in Commack, NY today at 1130 am - was not busy at all. We sat for 10 minutes nobody came over to us at all fir anything so we got up and walked out.
The area is kept clean and modern. There is ample parking and a variety of dinning options. Mayfair Shopping center meets many of my needs.
The worst Deli in Commack the Home Fries tasted like they were frozen and reheated and on top of that. To add insult to injury i asked for a REFUND back on the homefries and they just gave my fiance 2 dollars. Those homefries were defiently not 2 dollars will never go back again. Over priced and foods is not that good.
Food is amazing. Employees professional and not rude. Hopefully they get mimosas soon.... Otherwise great experience

Go for famous toast. Went back second time and was disappointed in quality of hash. Did not look or tastehome made like when they opened. Quality of food went down, but prices didnt.
Many different stores to choose from my favorite is Edward Allen big and tall this is the one-stop-shop for any lady that has a big and tall man fancy clothes reasonable pricing

Had dinner at Good Taste Chinese Buffet- theres a lot to see in this strip. Plenty of close gas stations and less than a mile from the Sagtikos.
Cold food. So bad they picked up check and did the same for the table next to us who said food was cold .servers are all over you,kind of annoying.4.00 small oj,came back and gave us some crepes,but they were cold.do yourself a favor,go to diner or ihop.eggs shouldnt be served on cold plates

Best Market is a great supemarket in this shopping center. Problem is that the lot gets flooded with shoppimg carts because there are no cart stalls.

Stein Mart is a nice addition to a nice Shopping Center I can remember that shopping center when I was a child its been there so long and its always been good

2019-01-14Food was so yummy, service was even better!Only place Ive ever been that brings warm maple syrup to the table.. I usually bring my own since I hate fake syrupOrdered the huevos rancheros.Wished it had less beans and more nachos but it was delicious.I ended up going by myself and wasnt made to feel out of place.

2018-11-07Stopped in for breakfast early Sunday morning so we got seated right away. By the time we left the breakfast crowd was coming in and the place was packed. My daughter and I both ordered Avocado Benedict. It was amazing!! The coffee was delicious, and the orange juice was freshly squeezed. Yum!Staff very friendly and attentive. The manager stopped by our table to see if we needed anything. Well be back very soon!

2019-08-02I heard great things about the Famous Toastery, which brought me here. I came early when they opened, about 7am. They’re situated with large windows allowing lots of sunlight to come in, one of favorite aspects of any quality breakfast place. The waitress greeted me right away and took my drink order. The service throughout was excellent. The food was good. The options are plentiful. The environment is nice. More places like this should open up in our area.

2019-03-19The decor is super cute and welcoming, you really just want to curl up with a big mug of your choice of drink and just enjoy it. The food is very good and the portions are big! My 1 complaint was our service, our server never came back after our food was delivered, and we didnt have any syrup. We asked a different waitress and they said they would get it, 10 minutes later we get our syrup. U know the server wasnt owers and had their own tables, but now my food is cold and our server is no where to be seen. We had a nice experience overall and enjoyed our food very much

2018-11-22A really nice breakfast place, with staff that’s still learning. Average food at best. Four of us had a four different things and none of it was really good. Mildly overpriced, even if the food was great. I think they are pretty new, so I’ll check them out again in a few weeks to see how they’re progressing. Right now, the best part of it is the room itself.

2019-03-17Whoa, best breakfast ever!!! It was packed, but service was excellent. Coffee AT THE ENTRANCE in case u have to wait (we didnt, but I grabbed a quick cup anyway). The food was so so good, I got the classic eggs Benedict w crispy bacon (instead of Canadian bacon), my husband got Famous Hash, both excellent. Hot sauce already at the table. Tons of parking outside. Bathroom is fine.

2018-10-01Not a very cozy restaurant. Food was good, your typical breakfast stuff. The staff are WAY too attentive. They have every staff assisting each table so we had at least 5 different people asking if we wanted coffee refills and after awhile it became a little intrusive. Very crowded and long wait on weekends. Maybe once the excitement of a new place wears off it will quiet down.

2019-03-31The service is slow. The food takes forever. The complimentary cornbread doesnt exist, they tell you that its being made then when you ask about it they ignore you.This is our second time here and both times the food was delayed about 30 minutes and they tell you that the kitchen is backed up even though there are a bunch of empty tables.The actual food is pretty good but its such a frustrating place to deal with that you want to leave midway through your wait. The wait staff is completely uncoordinated. Anyone can help you then no one actually does. They ignore you when you call them over. This is two bad experiences and there wont be a third.

2018-11-06The food is very inconsistent and for me, thats a deal breaker. The first meal I had was incredible and cooked to perfection with impeccable service. The second meal I had was awful. My pancakes were soggy, the bacon was overdone, and my daughters burger was like a hockey puck. In all fairness they took the burger off the bill but it ruined the entire meal. I may give it a third try with some adult friends who want to try it and for that reason only. I know they are new and the menu is large. They need time to work out the kinks. Disappointed...
