The girl didn’t know how to do my nails correctly and they broke the next day
I have to say I used to love this place and although today’s experience was awful, I probably would have gone back had it not been for the rudeness of the owner. At my arrival with my 2 daughters aged 3 and 5, I was not told the wait would be an hour. Either way I waited and was relieved when finally called back after waiting an hour and two minutes. While in the pedicure chair, we waited another 5 minutes. Finally they started my pedicure, but did not send anyone back for my daughters who were only getting polish. I kept asking “ Is someone coming to do their nails” and finally the girl responds “ We are busy they will do it later.” I am sorry but that is unacceptable. I got even more angry when they started calling back people who came in after me! Another 15 minutes goes by and finally they start painting my daughters’ nails. The technicians were great but after being in the salon for two hours with only a pedicure done my girls were hungry and bored. I was not able to get my manicure so i went to leave and as I was paying I told the owner that maybe they should let people who come in with young children know the wait times and also that they should count as a client being that they are paying customers. He responds with “I’m not trying to argue have a good day. “ What does that even mean?! After 6 years of frequenting this facility I have decided to withdraw my business and will tell my friends not to go there either. Your kids and money will be pushed by the waist-side if they are busy. Sorry- but my kids were customers too and shouldn’t have been skipped.
I have to say I was worried going based on some of these reviews, but then you have to realize the majority of people who leave reviews have a bad experience . I came in for a pedi and mani w/ acrylics . She took her time to make sure the shape was right and made sure with me I liked it. I got a design on it and she made sure it matched the picture and she did a great job. Also the prices are very good as well. The guy I believe his name is Michael was very nice as well !
I went for A new full set , when I told here what I went she said 60 and she made for me a French when I was paying she charge me 80 !!!! 80 for a full set with French it’s f@8& insane even on other better places don’t charge you 80 !!!!!
Prices are good here. Staff is nice. Got a manipedi here and left pretty happy. My nails didnt smudge or get ruined super quick.

Poor customer service. If I could give it negative stars, I would. The owner Michael is extremely rude.i waited for almost two hours and finally was seated after I pointed out that he seated 3 people before me. If dealing with his rudeness and the wait wasnt enough, three days after getting my nails done, three of them chipped. I shouldve seen the handwriting on the wall when another customer came in complaining about her gel pedicure chipping the day after it was done. Ill never step into this establishment again!!!
I have been a customer for almost two years. I go to one tech and wait for her patiently. Michael, the owner is the rudest man I ever met. This is the final straw...I came in Thursday for a full set of nails, pedicure, lip and eyebrows (my usual every two week appt) and he told me too late come back tomorrow. I said I cant /what time do you open on Saturday and he said 930. When I pulled into the handicap parking spot right in front at 9:05 I watched him give a customer my tech lady when there were many waiting on customers. I said I thought you opened at 930 he said I got here early. I asked him why does he always do this to me and he told me to stop talking and leave! What type of customer service is this. It amazes me that he still had customers!
The nail technician I worked with today was extremely rude, unprofessional and also disrespectful. I went for a basic fill-in and received a unwelcoming attitude since I sat in her chair. Everything I asked nicely for,she said they couldnt do , every color polish I picked out she didnt have ! Then she had the nerve to curse at me in her native tongue thinking I didnt understand !!! I have never walked out of a nail salon while just starting my nail process! I left because I knew they had absolutely no chance of getting good service or what I wanted in the end ! I payed for what she did (soaking Acrylic )gave her a tip beacuse you cant fight hate with hate ! They need lessons in customer service! DONT GO HERE!!
I’ve been coming here for years. I always get a gel manicure and spa pedicure. Occasional wax. They have a large selection of colors, clean tools, and many technicians working so the wait time is never unreasonable. Everyone is nice enough. It’s consistently B work, but the prices are low. Will continue to go here for the foreseeable future.
Fast, friendly, professional services. The gentalman at the front desk takes notice to remember repeat customers and is always ready with a quick smile. I have been getting my nails done regularly for over a year and I never feel pushed for extra services.
This nail salon used to be good. All of the bad reviews are exactly what happened to me. Nails chip within ONE day and you are rushed. I started going to this nail salon 6 years ago maybe and they had a tech named Nicole. She was wonderful and always did my nails right. Im not sure if she left on her own or was fired but every time I would ask for her, Michael would give me a different excuse. I kept going for another year but I always would walk out of there very disappointed. I havent been in a few years and do not plan on going back.
DO NOT GO HERE. Fashion Nail and Spa in North Babylon.I never do this. I never complain about a place of business, no matter how bad the service was. But this was just outrageous.I have been going to this nail salon since they opened. Today I went to get an acrylic set and the French ombré. It was going to be $70. So for something that costs that much, I should be happy with what I’m getting, right? They did not come out the way I wanted. Actually came out horrible.I said very nicely and quiet, so I wouldn’t start a scene, that I wasn’t happy with it. I obviously was still going to pay but I wanted something different.The owner then comes over and says very rudely “take them off and never come back”. I was taken back for a moment. He seriously just told me not to come back because I wasn’t happy? When I was extremely nice about it and still was going to pay for it? I’ve been a loyal customer since day 1 and that’s how he’s going to treat me? He clearly does not care about his customers. He didn’t even try to fix the problem. His fix was to have me never come back so “I don’t start problems again”. I have never started a problem before so I don’t know what makes him think this is what I do.The owner Michael is extremely rude and unprofessional. I would not recommended this place to anyone. Save your money and time and go somewhere else.
I thought it was just me and then I read these reviews. Ive been coming here for many years too and recently the quality of work has just been horrible. As I sat in my chair the past few times I was there I kept thinking man these ladies are just rushing through the pedis . My pedi was terrible, she didnt clean my cuticles and I had to keep pointing out to her.I swear as soon as my foot went in the water she took it out gave it one scrub and put my polish on. The gel mani I got only lasted 3 days and I couldnt bother going back after work to get it done but just did a regular mani last time. Id hate to see them close down because of the lack of good service, its such a beautiful place. Hope Michael sees these reviews and re-evalutes what he is doing wrong.
Every time I go here the gentleman Michael is very sweet and welcoming. I have never had an issue with any of the techs they do a wonderful job and are consistent. During the week days its nice and quiet but weekends make sure you have an appointment! Its always very clean and relaxing, best salon I have found in the area and all of my friends and family I have sent or brought with me love it as well.
Customer service is so good here that Im willing to sit and wait. If you dont like your nails they will do them over free of charge, even if its a couple of days later! Some people have a fit at the wait, but I find it ammusing. There is a reason they are so busy.
NEVER GOING BACK.I got a gel manicure with chrome powder. Spent the extra money by choice but received unsatisfactory and painful service. My cuticle was cut deeply and the chrome kept chipping. Now theee days later I have four chipped nails when it was supposed to last TWO WEEKS. I called inquiring and was offered to get it fixed but I politely asked for a refund due to loss of interest of the establishment especially when that was not the first time I was unhappy with the service. I was told he DOES NOT GIVE REFUNDS. Great right?I dont recommend.
I take my mother to get both our eyebrows done here. They are pretty consistent here. Weve only had a few times where one of us wasnt completely satisfied which was due to the technician doing the eyebrows at that time. Normally we think its great though. Prices are reasonable.
Horrible. The other day I had gotten the SNS gel powder, I gotten a light shade of pink. When I ended up not liking it because of the woman who did such a bad job on it. The salon was slow and it seemed like a good time to go before work.... wrong. She rushed through my nails and made so many mistakes I had black nail polish on before and she never took it all off so you could still see the marks on it. I told them I didnt like it and I couldnt fix it because I was heading to work. The woman told me to come in the next day. I came in the following day and then woman charged me $20.00 to make it a shade darker and fix the womans mistakes. I should have not paid the nails were absolutely disgusting. When I came to fix it the woman had an attitude, cut my finger, did another horrible job... and left my nails looking a mess. No hot towel, no lotion.. there is still scuff marks on it. So my advice is to take your money elsewhere.
I went to this salon for a spa pedicure which includes the paraffin treatment and callous removal which is a gel only to be applied to the bottom of the feet (which clearly states these directions on the bottle) and not to be left on for too long.The callous remover gel that is meant for the bottom of the feet, seeped towards the back of my ankles once the Saran Wrap was applied over my heels, because the nail tech applied it wrong and applied too much of if it,I immediately felt a burning sensation, but then she applied the warm towels over my feet and the burning seemed to dissipate, which was actually just masking it.. Once the towels and Saran Wrap was taken off with the gel, my ankles were on fire and I noticed my skin was badly burnt. I brought it to the technicians attention, which she noticed it right away as well (how could you not notice it)?!and she was saying it will go away... And I said this are some bad burns here... I called the owner over and he just said he was sorry and walks away... Then as I was placed at the drying station the tech came over asking me to pay, and said that the owner is taking $10 off for what happened. I told the owner listen you know me, Ive been coming here since youve opened and Im not making a big deal out of nothing, LOOK at my ankles!? Hes like I said I was sorry and I give you $10 discount! I was like you know what at this point, thats not going to cut it because your attitude is horrible and blowing me off isnt going to fly with me. Im sure the health department would love to hear about this .There were two other women who came to my defense and said to the tech that they shouldnt be using that gel, its burned someone else that went there that they know and they had to go to the doctor because of the burns. The technician just looks at them and walks away. The two other women were my witness that the owner and nail tech were blowing me off.You can bet I will be submitting my pictures and details to the health department and making some calls. My ankles are still burning, my left ankle is swollen and its hard for me to walk in shoes without being in major pain!Worst nail salon experience ever!The owner is rude and disrespectful.Furthermore, they should not have charged me anything and should have offered to pay for any medical treatment.Further action is going to be taken. He will be sorry he messed with the wrong woman. ;) Ive taken pictures from when the burns first occurred at 2:30 to 5:00 this evening, showing the progress of how badly theyve been burnt and swollen.
Im so turned off with this salon. I got a gel manicure that i paid 25 dollars for and should last two weeks. It lasted three days. Three fingers nails chipped the morning i decided to go. I felt rushed by michael the owner. Who runs his workers like slaves. When i tried to explain the issue he continued to talk over me and insisted i take a seat. Big mistake. I waited 45 minutes for three freaken nails to be repainted. They put my three chipped nails in acetone. And about three different nail techs came to assist me and were told by michael to do someone else. Long story short. They repainted my nails. They were horrible. Blubbed up like a 5 year old did them. I complained. Michael didnt charge me for it. The next day my nails chipped.
I went in on Wed about 6 45 my first experience it was to late for a fill in they close at 7 30. Told rude man who I found the next day name was Michael. Came back Thursday at 5 30..Michael told me it would be a wait I asked how long ..they only take walk in. He said a half hour then in tour then long wait. I watched exactly at least 8 customers walk in the door and went right to a tech. Reason they were getting manicures. I sat with a tech at 6 35. One hour and 5 minutes wait.
They were amazing! The environment is so nice, the quality is really really good, and the prices are more then reasonable! I gave them a hard design that they have never done before (it was a Greek symbol) and they matches it perfectly and they even had the right shade of green I was looking for! Im definitely making this my normal salon!I would totally recommend here to all of my friends!
I wish I could give this place a - star. doesnt even deserve 1!!! I went for a soak off and manicure. The woman was so rough with the instrument I told her she was hurting me and I laughed. Plus, she cut the base of my nail. I didnt want anything further after that and then I walked out realizing she charged me for a manicure...I had nothing done to them! I went back for a band-aid and told the gentleman at the front and he would not give me my money back. $7...for a service not received...and I have a bleeding nail. So ridiculous! Now Im succeptble to infection!!! Plus, I asked for alcohol pretty sure it was ACETONE!!;
The worst place ever. Michael the owner is so rude and runs his employees like slaves. Try talking to one when theyre not inside his salon, its frightening. Not a relaxing pedicure at all. I was cut I even got burns from their cheap flimsy emory boards. When I told him he just turned away and said ok ok thank you thank you. Seriously what the hell is that. Please spend your hard earned money somewhere else. Better Nail salons are all over the place and they treat customers and their employees with respect.
The front desk guy is so rude. My nails are extremely thin now because of them. The nail tech constantly kept filing down my nails even when I said please stop and said that is normal. I can barely pick up anything because my nails keep breaking. I had a enough of them with their high pricing and rude staff. I do not recommend this place. Save your money and your time.
People are very friendly the workers are kind they work hard and they do the best they can Im very satisfied with the work they do Lily is a very good workout Monica is an excellent worker as of now thats all Ive experienced I will continue to let you know.
Front desk is always sweet. So many staff members that you usually never have to wait too long. they line the spa tubs with a bag and change it after each person and use many disposable items and always use the cleaning machines for tools. one of the best spots Ive ever been too.
Horrendous service! My wife has been getting manicures for years. Acrylics. She had gone in a week ago, and had gotten a fill in with gel manicure. She had gotten the gel so it wouldnt chip so quickly. TWO DAYS LATER, A LARGE CHIP ON ONE FINGER. Second time at this salon. Please keep in mind she has an office job, and never helps me with yard work at the risk of breaking a nail . She calls up, explains the issue and the rude guy on the other end of the phone tells her 5 dollars to repaint one nail. Crazy !
I love this salon. Everyone is very friendly, prices and operation hours are great, and Ive never had to wait. They also have amazing massage chairs to sit in while getting your pedicure. Wouldnt go anywhere else!
You get what you pay for here. When I walked in I asked the man at the counter if he had a good person for French. His imidiate answer was no no good French ok French. I shouldve known to just walk away at that point, but my friend had been talking this place up to me, so I decided to give it a try. What a dissapointment!! My 2 year old couldve done a better job at my nails than the tech. The lines were so crooked and you could see the base nail polish in between the French lines. On top of everything I asked for another tech to fix them and the owner said hed just give me my money back. The tech and the owner were both so rude I would never go back to this place again.
Recently the service and work heres has just not been good. i used to love this nail salon but lately the techs seem so rushed and havent been doing a good job. if you go i do recommend that you ask for kong or kerri they are the only good techs that do good work and are nice
Used to be good. No longer takes appointments and is inconvenient to wait nearly an hour to get my nails done. Getting a fill in and pedicure is now 3+ hours.
Today was by far the happiest Ive walked out of there... nails look incredible and the massage was Incredible!!
This nail salon owner is disgusting and racist. He talks down to his customers . He runs his salon like a sweat shop. Its sad to have to spend your money here because customer service is poor. And if u look his reviews there are poor for a reason. This salon needs to be closed down .

Somethings up here. 4 faces missing from the board and looong waits. Had to leave this past Saturday (so did several others) after 45 mins and today from open time to 10 when left no workers arrived. I went across the street and got into a chair and it was well done and looked great. found a new place.
I went to do acrylics and the lady that did them , did them so thick they actually do look like fake nails . i went back with my aunt and we complained to them , on top of that the nail polish was painted horribly and the man at the front desk was so rude . those $30 werent worth paying for these horrible nails . and $10 to shape them . mind you in the city with those 40 dollars you can get acrylics and a pedicure .
This place is one of the worst the staff is rude does not listen to what you want and when you try to explain what you want they make faces get defensive and start speaking to each other in Chineseonly one is a bit friendly is the guy at the front when you ask them how long is waiting time they give you an attitude answer that’s not good client tell in my opinionI got my eyebrows pedicure and manicure with tip gel nails blah blah so I’m spending a lot of money I would expect some respect and get what I’m paying for but instead the girl messed up my eyebrows with waxs that I couldn’t get off my forehead then off to my pedicure the same girl gave me a look After she polished one toe I told her hold on let me see if I like it she made faces then my manicure that girl was the rudest she was annoyed the whole time kept pushing my hands file my nails bend then told me that’s how my fingers are my nails are missing polish all around the nails .. horrible experience and it’s Mother’s Day weekend I was expecting to go there and pay for pampering not BAD attitude.
Clean, and sanitary. Everyone wears a mask, and dividers throughout. Great service, and plenty of chairs.
According to the owner, the reason his techs suck at their jobs and give worst gel acrylic fill and uneven, different shaped nails ever, is because YOU pick the wrong color.
Very friendly pleasant staff. I always have a great experience here. The only negative is that there can be a long wait. It is best to ask how long your wait time will be when you first enter
They Do Not give a good pedicure,i had one small rough spot on my foot,refused to remove it (smooth it qith file etc) never again

2021-12-02Absolutely love my nails! I would give 5 stars, IF, they would let you book appts. My nail tech was so gentle and willing to do what I asked for. I love that they soak the SNS off, the PROPER way. A lot of good qualities in their workers but the policy about respecting my time, sucks. That being said, if you want to have a pleasant experience with this place, just go on their off-peak times. You wont regret it!

2022-01-20I really don’t understand the negative reviews. I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve never had a bad experience. Yes there is often a wait but they do good work that’s why it’s busy. Also a lot of the tools are single use, and the pedi basins get a new plastic liner for every customer. It’s very clean and over the years I’ve been seen by every single nail tech and I’ve never been disappointed. Donna gives the best massage and Shelly is the queen of eyebrows.

2022-01-14I really dont suggest going here unless you like your gel manicures chipping 2-3 days after its done.This is about the 3rd time its happen to me by different technicians so my lesson is learned and Im finding a different place.I literally got my nails done on Wed ( which did come out nice ) I went home afterwards, cooked dinner and saw one of my nails chipped within THE SAME DAY? 🤔 So I went back and they fixed it for me and now..only 3 days later a different nail is chipped.

2019-08-05Dont take appointments, always a long wait, but I kept going there for years because I was happy with their work, until last visit something went wrong. Gel polish was chipping off in 2 days, I went back to get them fixed & HAVE TO WAIT ALL OVER AGAIN, I tried to no avail to explain theres something wrong with the polish. They insisted on redoing NINE nails with the same exact polish- not helpful considering what has already happened -and also the last nail will be chipped today. I show her its picking off with my fingers & she tells me any gel does that. Since Ive been getting gel polish for years I know it doesnt. The woman keeps berating me saying I fix it I fix it I fix it when they know damn well what theyre doing is not fixing the problem & theyre being idiotic.

2021-11-22Its pretty good. Staff is friendly, they do a good job. Prices are higher than ever but that’s to be expected nowadays. They also have the best color selection I’ve ever seen with gel/powder nails. Wish it was a bit cleaner there also.One staff member only, however, is so rude to me. Made fun of me once in front of everyone. Also was so rough with my nails-ripped all the skin off my cuticles- they were puffy and red for days. She only serviced me twice- both times very nasty. But everyone else, including the owner, is friendly.

2022-05-15Terrible customer service! Polish does not last. I went in to get a pedicure white gel and with in an hour my polish was chipping! The manager is very nasty to the African American customers!

2021-05-28I just moved to this area I was looking for a nail salon and checked on ones in the area and this particular one has very bad reviews but I decided to give them a try anyway. They were wonderful the staff was pleasant very attentive I did not have to wait I was taken immediately. The salon is very clean and they took good care in keeping it that way when they did my nails. I will definitely be going back there frequently. I did not get the name of the young lady who did my nails and I really would like her to have the proper credit but unfortunately since I don’t have her name I can’t give you that. Give them a try. You won’t be sorry.

2022-04-10No wait time. You have to pay attention to every little thing, they keeping messing up and you cant just relax and enjoy. Youre constantly telling them what to do. Definitely a language barrier too. Its work just to be there ... Im just saying 😪

2021-03-19Love getting my nail tips here. This is the only place where they don’t lift or crack. Best nail salon by far!!!Michael is really nice.....I’ve never seen him act rudely to anyone. Yes there usually is a wait, so I go at off times. Like I said, my nails always come out perfect!

2021-02-08Ive visited this salon for quite some time but will not be returning after my last visit. My nail tech began removing my acrylics by trying to pry them off with a fresh fingernail tip. I Immediately told her it was painful and asked her if she could begin by soaking the nails off. I also asked her if this was bad for my nails (my first time removing acrylics and Ive heard soaking in acetone is the safest method) Her response was soaking takes too long and that this does not damage the nails. She continued on and then I asked her again if she could start soaking them in acetone. I can tell she was very annoyed with my requests and then got up to get the acetone.. then she was impatiently waited for my nails to soak off. After soaking and filing she was still trying to wedge that fingernail tip in between my nail & acrylics to take the remainder off again. The whole visit was very uncomfortable and it was frustrating asking her to do the right method. She was very rude and began speaking in her native language to her co-workers after I would politely express my concerns with her. My nails definitely suffered some damage because of this visit. I cant imagine how bad my nails would be if I didnt speak up and ask her to do the right thing.
