I’ve been here multiple times, foolishly believing the terrible service is a fluke and will be much better the next time. It never is.The wait is always over 5 minutes at the drive-thru. And they don’t even acknowledge your existence. You just sit there. And sit there. And SIT THERE.The pop machine has been broken the last 4 times I’ve been here. Over a period of at least a month. No idea why getting that fixed is not a priority.One time I had to park and go in and return the meal because it was stone cold by the time they got it to me. Just now I had to park and go inside because they gave me a deluxe chicken instead of deluxe quarter pounder.Finally got my Quarter Pounder, and the cheese is half off of it. Sloppy. Employees obviously do not care.Absolutely do not recommend, have finally learned my lesson, and will go to Burger King or Wendy’s from now on.
Just listened to employees complain about their job and speak about how they are going to quit for the last 15 minutes. The gossip was mildly entertaining as was the employee who dropped a blunt on the ground. The refurbished look at this location is strange to say the least.
This is WHY I rarely eat “food” from fast food establishments! After waiting 25 minutes (after 2:30 pm) seeing the sign that’s posted “crispy chicken” meal for $6.00, decided to go with the “crispy deluxe” (I was hungry) not only did pay $5 more, I paid that $5 more for a soggy, NOT CRISPY, piece of chicken(?) with warm mayo and a few strands of wilted lettuce! It was pathetic! Because the DR isn’t open at the MacDonald’s Grant Ave., Auburn, I wasn’t about to wait in line for another half hour to complain. I simply won’t ever go back. I will stick to my healthy eating at home!
Not happy today March 5 2022 we decided to eat at grant Ave McDonalds not only do we have to wait a hr in drive thru but they also mess up your order and they read order back to you so yes they no what is in the bag we ordered so we didnt check bag I didnt think we had to seeing they read it back to us ugh they didnt put our fries in back come on you got one job man you didnt mess up taking our money tho right if I could Id give no star 👎🏼
This one is getting better. The did a nice remodel but inside dining not open yet.There main problem is they are short handed. Kids dont show up to work and they dont want to work. So you cant blame the staff for being slow, give them credit for doing what they can with the staff that shows up.
Great job to the whole staff even if all were not giving 💯. They were able to keep cool and kick the food out as fast as they could. Couple mix ups but for the amount of people there were inside and in the drive thru they did an outstanding job. You should all be proud. And yes i know complements do not pay the bills but if i was in that kind of position i would have tipped each one of them.
I ordered from my phone, out in their parking lot. I went inside to wait wait for my order and waited about 25 min before someone asked what I was waiting for. They did not see my order on the screen, then looked at orders they had already done and realized someone else got my order. The girl told the cooks that she needed hotcakes for 2 breakfast meals and there was a lot of complaining about it. There werent any browns made, so had to wait for them too. After another 15 or 20 min they handed me the bag and said here I headed home. I got home and found 1 of the breakfast trays with lid was not on right, the eggs were half out of it and it was missing hotcakes and bacon. The 2nd one was missing hotcakes too. I called and had to go back there to get my order fixed ... that took another 20 min. There was I young guy at the register, who was quiet and did his work. Everyone else there were yelling at each other and complaining about orders. They were very rude there. I am never going to that McDonalds again!
Rarely review, but Im irritated. Stopped in the drive thru at around 11pm on 10/6/21 and watched 3 employees walk inside, and never take my order even after I said hello?, multiple times. And when I drove back around there was one employee sitting in the pay window on her phone and 2 other employees standing around up front.
This location did their absolute best when short staffed. I saw how other customers treated the employees and the employees kept their cool. Customers need to understand the pressure the employees go through, especially nowadays when staff is smaller, pay is awful and no benefits to speak of. The five stars is for the employees.
Fries were hot, bathrooms were clean but soap had to be poured out of the bottle? No receipts so we knew what our order was. Soda machines were out of ice and Dr pepper. Floor was sticky, no eating allowed in dining room which I saw the sign on the way out. Staff yelled over the register 20 feet away from us that we couldnt dine in. There were other people in the dining room that werent asked to leave. It was chaotic and unpleasant.
Told us we dont have mobile orders at all after the third offer of someone elses order. Didnt ask for the app code, though there are clear signs posted in the drive through lines for ordering in the app and just saying the code - they claimed they only deal with grubhub. 40 min later they still forgot a third of the order.And every employee had their mask not covering nose or entirely under their chins, so not even trying to keep each other or customers inside safer either. Nasty and miserably incompetent management.
Its really sad how downhill this place has gotten. The prices have skyrocketed especially for some of what they have. And the last time we tried to get breakfast they had almost nothing available then. A lot of it said coming back soon. Why bother opening for breakfast if you have nothing to serve. They have also not had OJ in forever as well as some of there other beverages from time to time quite often such as milkshakes and frappes. We have stopped going there and been going to BURGER KING instead. Its much more worth the money you pay for it at least.
I never give bad google reviews (seriously, this is my first), but I was thoroughly disgusted by the food that I purchased today. First off, they forgot an order of fries. No big deal, it happens sometimes. Secondly, my filet of fish- the bread was SO stale that when I bit into it, it was literally crunchy. When I tried pulling it apart, large dry chunks were falling off. The fish itself was dark in color, like the fryer oil had never been changed ever, and was extremely rubbery like it had been sitting for hours, if not days. My fries were very dark in color, like the fryer oil was old, and were cold and stale. My son said his nuggets tasted fine, but they too looked very dark in color. I realize this is fast food, and I was not expecting a 5 star meal, but this was just gross. I will not be returning to this McDonalds.
Probably the worst experience ever! line was so long in drive thru I went inside to order. Small crowd in there, there seemed to be NO sense of urgency on behalf of the staff. After 25 minutes with several people still ahead of me I told the cashier I wanted to cash in and leave. Had to wait longer for her to get a manager who was hiding somewhere in the back.
I love this McDonald’s! I usually order my food ahead of time through the McDonald’s app and I have never had an issue with my order. The only thing that I had a problem with is the fact that the drive thru can be kind of slow sometimes, but the staff is usually very friendly to me when that happens so in my opinion that makes up for it!
Been in line for 8 minutes for chicken nuggets and two cheeseburgers. The car in front of me would not pull ahead so I couldnt pull ahead for pick up. How do you not have food ready? the service window was absolutely rude then car behind me was cursing me out because I couldnt pull ahead. you just lost my service McDonalds. Finally after almost 15 minutes.ill never come here again
I ordered a q pounder with cheese a medium fry my friend ordered 2 cheese burgers and ffs also. We ended up leaving with 2 big macs. They didnt know what the hell we ordered. Gave us someone elses. Very unorganized and since when can you wear crocks in a food place? The workers have no clue what they are doing.
I got a garbage smoothie that was water and a mcdouble no pickle w pickle. Beth the lady at the window kept her cool and had amazing customer service. I was highly upset with whoever made them the first time. However, Beth took it upon herself to go back and remake my burger and smoothie herself! Amazing job Beth. Keep up the great customer service
Just wasnt great. I havent gone to McDonalds in such a long time because I felt the quality was going down. Thought Id give it a whirl again as I was in the mood for a crispy chicken sandwich. Wasnt impressed. Even by fast food standards it was gross. Chicken was dried out, while bun was greasy...figure that out. Fries have been god awful for years, bad oil or something. Drink tasted watered down and musty.
10 minute wait from order to pick up. After I had paid and was being handed my order they informed me that they were out or apple pies. My mother wanted an apple pie. So when they asked if there was something else I wanted instead I said no. They told me they were completely out. I said ok. Refund me the cost of the pie. Ok but you will have to wait for a manager. Ok. I will wait. A couple minutes later, I was told it will be 12 minutes until the apple pie is ready. Oh, I thought you were all out......
Spent 15 minutes in drivethru before getting my order, (or anyones order in line) taken and then spent another ten minutes waiting in line before anyone handed out food and i finally got my 2 drinks that i ordered. This is not the first time that I have had issues at this location... it seems everytime I stop here they are having issues.
When we first walked in we were happy because it was very slow at the time and we could just walk up to counter. Cashier was pleasant and quick and employees seemed kind and friendly and the egg sandwich I had was made right then and delicious. However when finding a seat for two I noticed that every table was filthy. Crumbs, stains, wrappers on every single table and booth. I eventually gave up looking and found one less dirty than others and wiped it down with a napkin. Lucky I would never let my food actually touch the table itself. The whole 45 minutes we were there only as we walked out did anyone come to clean tables. I wish I had my sons wipes with me but its silly to need that at a place of business. I understand that fast food gets busy but I do wish the manager would make the lobby cleanliness a priority. But I do enjoy the food so I will be going again. (hopefully to a cleaner environment)
As I travel throughout Oswego, Onodaga and cayuga counties. Ive always known that this particular McDonalds holds the award for slowest fast food restaurant in NY state! Its absolutely the worst service out of ANY other fast food place.. But this morning? 4/10/21.. Took the whole cake!! 23 minutes from the cash paid window to the receiving window! TWENTY THREE MINUTES! If you count the time I was in line, to the order box, to the cash window? I was there well over 45 minutes! For 2 breakfast sandwiches! Thats it! Just 2 sausage, egg and cheese mcmuffins! I counted 48 vehicles leave the line! Lets say they all order 2 breakfast sandwiches! Thats over 200 bucks lost in just the short time that I started counting who was leaving the line! And then to top it all off, I actually asked Are these fresh or have they been sitting here for this whole wait time? She said theyre fresh! And that was a LIE! My advice? Go spend a week at the McDonalds on Midler Avenue in Syracuse and watch how they do it! Busiest McDonalds Ive ever seen, yet never a line over 4 vehicles, in and out within 3 minutes with the freshest of fresh meals! And theyve never gotten my order wrong!
They cannot get an order right. I had a terrible experience here. It seems like the crew is not trained properly as well as the fact they got my order wrong twice even after I went inside to have them correct it. As a previous McDonald’s employee/manager I was very disappointed.
Went to drive thru and they had me and the car in front of us and the car behind us pull ahead. When they brought out our meals they were giving all of us the wrong orders. When we finally got what we ordered it was wrong. We were missing a McChicken and one had no Mayo or lettuce and one had tarter sauce. We ordered 4 regular McChickens. Worst place ever.
Ordered 3 Double cheese large fry. Two chicken sands and 10 piece Mc Nuts.. Got 5 chicken sandwiches. Girls said sorry I just got hit in the eye by a chicken Mc Nugget. Wont be back. To bad, because I loved their burgers and fries. Will stick with Burger King from now on. And they want $15.00 an hour. Im my whole audio/lighting career I never made even close to that. Plus I was required to always be professionally perfect. What a JOKE.
They messed up our order and when we went back through and waited in the long line again for them to fix the order, they got it wrong AGAIN! How hard is it to make a burger with only ketchup and one with no onions, no pickle. The manager took the receipt and said he would fix the order. He didnt even get it correct and wonder why the crew member cant do their job correctly when you have management like that training them. Will not be going back there again.
The Grant Ave McDonalds is so much better than the West end now. Listen, I honestly dont know why after their renovation at the W Genesee St McDonalds they seemingly insanely raised their prices. I mean can someone tell me why 2 value meals cost $20?! Or why their employees are the rudest people under the sun? I digress. If you live on the west end it is a whole 7-10 minute drive, depending on the lights. But it is worth it. Even when the line is forever long they are still pleasant and accommodating. Grant Ave McDs for sure.
This had to have been the slowest drive through experience I have ever had. It was over a half an hour from beginning to end. They werent paying attention to both lines of cars so one line had 3 orders go before they finally took the order in the other lane, starting out by asking that woman if she had been helped yet. It took over 10 minutes between paying at the first window and getting my food at the second window. We also didnt get straws in our bags. The food was prepared well, but that was the only good point of my visit. Also, the outer lane should be blocked from traffic that isnt in the drive through lane, someone was able to come into that from the parking lot and bypass the line of cars waiting.
Havent been to this location on a year. Once i got there it reminded me why i stopped coming to this location. Took almost 10 minutes for 3 orders, asked us what sauce we wanted for nuggets to only tell us they were out of honey mustard. Not napkins, no lemonade, trash cans inside overflowing on the floor. Was 3 of us and were going to do 2 separate transactions and pay separately to use 2 separate coupons and was told we couldnt no matter what we did.
I wanted to go and just get something fast for friends because they were hungry as they were having a yard sale and the line for the drive thru was all the way to the road. Then the line inside was just as crazy. I should have gone somewhere else but I was already there so I waited. They definitely needed more help.
This McDonald’s has a lot of ground to make up. They have absolutely no “order” with the drive-through lanes. Every time I come here the person behind me is two cars ahead.NO PRICES ON THE MENU! They’re hiding how expensive it is now!!The food is good, but wow do they tax your time and walletUPDATE: They put prices up, but the service was Taco Bell slow. They had to have been short staffed: hard. Took me & 1 other car 30 mins no exaggeration.
Was told to pull forward while my quarter pounder cooked. A coworker in front of me was brought out his food and 6+ cars behind me were served and left before I finally went in and was told Sorry we forgot about you. I was compensated with medium instead of small fries (for the meal I now have no time to eat, so yeah throw more food at me) and when I got back to work, they forgot my nugget sauce too.
4/2/21 20 cats deep in the drive thru at 3;15pm in the afternoon????14 cars waiting in line. 20 people deep inside the restaurant and only 1 cashier taking orders.All 3 registers should have been running. This is a fault of management .On 10/1/18. Took 20 minutes for 2 steak sandwiches. 10 cars went around me as I waited. I went inside and the 50ish looking man was just starting to make my second one.
I have been coming to this Mcdonalds for most of my life. It is clean, the staff are friendly, the bathrooms are clean, the prices are low, the seating areas are clean aesthetically appealing. This location also has a playpen. I just had breakfast here with my girlfriend. Hot food and fast service.
I got in a car wreck yesterday and did not feel like cooking (obliviously!) So, I ordered DoorDash. It was a large order but it went through well enough. I got the order and found it was missing a quarter pounder and had messed up the other quarter pounder (we asked for regular bun instead of sesame seed and got no bun). No problem, we drove there mildly peeved but whatever. We got there and they seemed like they couldnt care less. We showed them the burger that was made wrong (and the receipt stating how it was supposed to be made) and told them we were also missing a burger. We got two new burgers and drove away, assuming it was right. Wrong! Not only did they still have the sesame bun but they put onions on the burger even though they were told not to. My brother in law is deathly allergic to onions. We went back and asked for a new burger AGAIN and new fries because at that point the fries home were cold and soggy. We got the right burger and freezing cold fries. The employees seemed like we were bothering them the whole time. Later that night, my brother in law threw up after taking a couple sips of his milkshake which he said tasted like sour milk. So, yeah. Never going back here again.
Always rushed when I order from here even when no one else is in line. Youd think that when you are the only customer they would take the time to serve you the correct order, but there is no bacon on my Quarter pounder with bacon. Crazy because they remembered to charge me extra for it..
The place is filled with incompetent employees. Was given a girl toy when I was asked for a toy for a boy. I had to drive back and switch the toy out. When I arrived back home for a second time I realized that I was not given a honey sauce for the chicken nuggets after the girl at the window assured me that she put the honey in the happy meal box. Seriously, no one should have to put that much effort into gettin a happy meal. The place is filled with awful employees.
This is truly some of the best food I have ever eaten in my entire life. I have traveled the world and enjoyed some of the finest restaurants run by the greatest chefs in the history of cuisine, yet none compare to this hidden gem nestled in the bustling, sparkling, vibrant Vegas style strip that is Grant Avenue in humble Auburn, NY. The McDouble is by far the most perfect flavor balance of third world beef, cheese, ketchup, diced onion and fluffy white, sugary bun that even the baby Jesus would devour and simultaneously worship. There now GOOGLE... You can stop asking me to review McDonalds... As if no one has ever heard of it before.
Im so fed up with this Mcdonalds. Its the worst one Ive ever been to. Its NEVER under 20 minutes to get your food, either because they have the slowest service in existence or they screw up something about your order and you have to go back through the line to fix it. This place either has no store manager or that person is so incompetent that they might as well not exist. I havent had a good experience at this Mcdonalds in over a year. Apparently corporate McDonalds doesnt care because I know Im not the only one complaining about this, yet they dont bother to fix it. They should just shut it down and sell the building to a proper fast food franchise.
We waited for over 20 minutes and finally went up to ask about our order because we were sitting close so we could hear our # called. It wasnt that busy. They looked & grabbed a bag (we ordered for eat in). The guy said he called out the number 10 minutes ago. The fries were very cold. The sandwiches were lukewarm. Yuk!!!!
Ordered a breakfast sandwich. The English muffin was burned black all around the edges, and I got the wrong sandwich. I ordered a sausage egg McMuffin and got something with Canadian bacon. The girl gand d me the drink and the lid popped off, and the whole drink dumped inside my car in the passenger side on the carpet. What a mess. A total disaster, and its NOT the first time they have messed up my order.
Maybe having more than 2 people making sandwiches during one of the busiest days of a year. 12-23-19. Waited 30 mins in the dining room to order, I went to BK across the street and was served in a heart beat. A older lady was waiting infront of me to get a dollar coffee, I talked her into going to Dunkin Donuts. And I talked two people out of going in, for a half hour wait for food. Pay attention to the drive through more than customers in the dining room. Smart. Good service.
Managers on break...who ordered food AFTER me (special order?) served before me, and catered to with sauces. When I finally got my order, had to ask for napkins and ketchup packets because the condiment bar was out! Chicken nuggets stuck together and not fully cooked...
Every time I order chicken nuggets with BUFFLO Sauce and ranch they give me BBQ so today I said MILD SAUCE to see if I’ll get it and I opened my bag up to what? BBQ, this is the sixth time I’ve gone and got something in my order wrong with out fail next time I’m going back and asking for my money back what’s the point on buying it just to give it to my kids later for a snack since I won’t eat it
First visit in a few years and was disappointed. We arrived with our grandaughter shortly after 8 am on a bitterly cold day. There were only a few customers there so we had prompt service, but they couldnt seem to get our order right. It wasnt worth the trouble the second time we were handed our order and was still missing an item. Then they informed us they ran out of forks so we would have to eat the hotcakes with a spoon. Finding a clean table in the play place was a challenge. It appeared as though it hadnt been cleaned since the day before as all the tables had a high traffic level of dirtiness and no one else was in there. I had to wipe down a table that was the least dirty. Its not likely that I will go back soon as there was nothing about the experience that would compel me to.
It was extremelybso,. Waited 15 min in line at the window where they hand you your food, they, finally came to the window to ask if I can move up. I did, and then it took another ten minutes after, beeping horn several times, they brought my two egg delight with muffin out to me. No apology, other than the person who brought it out to me, stated I work in the drink line, they asked me to bring it out. At least she was somewhat pleasant, although, no apology.
It took 15 minutes just to get someone to take my order through the driver thru. Only got a small shake and that took another 5 minutes to recive. They also now charge 75 cents for a cup of water and a nasty attitude. Already had low standards to begin with, but somehow they still know how to disappoint. Pathetic.
Went through the drive through at night and the staff was quick and efficient, the food was done and donne well and their mocha frappé was to die for, however they forgot my fire,ds order of sauce and its not the first time. I understand things get just but when someone pays for a to mind ring and the dimond is missing there is an issue, same as sauce in a burger. Take that extra second and double check the order sheet before you hand it out, and to the customers, make sure to check your order before you pull away from the window.
This place is disgusting the tables are dirty and the floor is also dirty it took forever to get my food and it tasted bad anyway. I recommend not to come here because your better off to go to Burger King. When my sister was getting her lemonade black sticky stuff got on her hand and in her drink. Go to Burger King it’s cleaner taste better and is much quicker and it is also much cheaper. DONT GO
Waited 25 mins in drive thru while 4 cars behind me were served and left. I finally go inside to grab my food. Got my food home..2 min drive if I catch the red lights...fries were nasty, 3/4 and fish had a dime size amount of tartar sauce and bottom bun was hard on the sides, 6/8. Its LENT, you think they would have it together... especially on a Friday!!!
It took us an hour to get our order. We live in Syracuse and couldve been home in the time it took to fill the order. Go somewhere else!Our order was correct and the food was fresh, but the amount of time outweighed all of this. We had 2 children in the car 3 and under, 1 with a fever, waiting for me to come out with food. And the weather turned into freezing rain while waiting.
Lemme help tell you why this place would make Gordon Ramsay yell.-Training of staff-I constantly see new staff being hired. It must happen at least once a month. Surely that many people cant be working there? When do the current workers get trained? They dont. Pretty badly, anyway. I go there often enugh and consistently see new faces there, often being yelled at for things they couldnt have possibly been trained well on. I hear them talking how most of them are only getting roughly 4 hours a week too. Benefits too much to pay for ya guys, eh?-*Staffing complaints/issues-Mainly said everything relevant above, but Ive seen staff doing upwards of 3 different positions at once and jumping to and fro. Just make them do one thing, cant you guys schedule? Pay someone else to work, is saving money to pay some other poor kid to be on hand worth the stress? Also, EVERY FRIDAY I see them crowding in there to pick up their checks. Apparently NO ONE gets direct deposit? Where am I supposed to sit? What happened to saving trees and the environment?-This (and other nearby locations) arent corporate anymore-Currently run by Cayuga Restaurant Group, LLC. Dont know much about them, but this means that the McDonalds overlords are even further separated from this location. So its even more up to the local peeps to order items and supplies. This is why when things break, theyre broken for even longer, and why they run out of things so often for not ordering enough and being cheap (if not wanting to pay bennies wasnt hint enough. I guess the check issues are moreso Cayugas fault, but still.-Managers (management & attitude)I see them constantly snippy. Constantly blaming anyone but themselves. Theres a couple nice ones, mainly the younger men. Most of them though, you can just tell theyre miserable 30-somethings going nowhere in their life though. I see them yelling at their staff (for things that arent their, if anyones faults), taking smoke breaks, and goofing off on their phones MID-SHIFT more than anything else. Yet theyre the same kind of people Id expect would fire an employee if they raised their voice or got on their phone. Just because your lives are miserable, dont make the staff miserable? No wonder why your turnover is so high. (A rare few staff seem to be guilty of this too.) I keep trying to talk to my friend when their shift is up too and they keep telling me oh they wanted me to stay longer. Why do you guys never do your schedules right? Hire another person if this keeps happening!!-CleanlinessSome of this is actually the customers faults. Like you managed to bring yourselves out, surely you can manage to take 5 steps to the trash can? It only puts more work on the employees. But its the managers faults too. Like Ill consistently see youll have one guy on register or getting fries, then make him clean up after someone, then make him run outside, run to a customer, run back to cleaning... seriously, just hire someone else for the shift. Make them clean, theres always something to clean. Make them leave early if you gotta, then if someone gets hurt or something on the job (seen happen), theyre there.TLDR: Too many staff who are trained too little, too many incompetent managers spreading their misery are running the joint. Bless all of yall that are working there, get out if you can. And if youre a customer, go to the one on the other end of town, CRG still might be running the joint, but at least its clean there!(Also, hi management, I guess youre the guys leaving the obviously fake good reviews too :) )
To start off with the whale of a cashier yawned for about 2 minutes her name was Beth with a heart at the end of her name . The yawn lasted so long you could see her rotten teeth and could smell the wheelbarrow of horse manure she ate before coming to work. Then came the order. I don’t think I’ve met a slower worker in my life. A simple order of chicken nuggets, French fries, and a drink was beyond her comprehension. The wait was about 10 minutes and the food was about a 5/10 in quality and the restaurant was extremely dirty. All together it wouldn’t of been that bad if it wasn’t for the cashier. Somebody should give that heifer a mop or just straight up fire her.
We were driving by and discussing things so we stopped for a wicked bite and to relax. Drinks were only a dollar any size. I chose a berry smoothie and my husband had the drink special. Nothing really eventful, just quiet good service as usual and as what can usually be expected from this place.
Auburn McDonalds USE to be the fastest one around, not anymore. We waited 16 minutes for 2 McChicken sandwiches (even when we ordered McDoubles) and 1 large fry. Seriously???!! 16 minutes? They seemed to be very understaffed. One lady asked to see a supervisor, no one came out, she left. Another was questioning her order (was missing an extra fry in a happy meal that they ordered) and after a brief discussion 1st, she got the extra fry. Attitudes there were stressed to say the least. Yep, should have went to Wendys this time.
Ordered Happy Meal with a bottle of water. And 2 quarter pounder deluxe meals one with a bottle water and one with a coke. Costs me $32.13. No receipt. Pull up to get meals and girls tries to hand me 4 cups. I tell her I ordered 2 waters and a coke. She tell me I get cups of tap water. I say I ordered bottled water. She refuses to give me because she says I didn’t get charged for water. She proceeds to had me the drinks with 2 cokes. Tell her I only have one coke Nope you have 2. I get food go home 20 minutes away and I only have one quarter pounder deluxe the other is just plain quarter pounder. Will never go there again
The place and service has tanked in the last month or so. Want to wait a half hour (literally) for your food only to get the wrong order? This Mcdonalds is definitely for you. Want your fast food fast? Literally any other fast food restaurant in Auburn NY will do that.
Absolute worst McDonalds Ive ever been to. This particular McDonalds used to be great, but now good luck getting through the drive through in under 45 minutes...no exaggerating either. Staff are very rude and look miserable 99% of the time. After your 45 minute wait, you can almost guarantee that even an order as simple as a McMuffin and hash brown will be screwed up. Trash cans are always overflowing as well. Id give this 0 stars if I could.
We are not big McDonalds eaters. We stopped with our grandson. What a mistake. Your greeted by flithy windows, the floors covered in food, dirt, and crumbs. The tables were all dirty in the whole place. I went up four steps to get my grandson in the play set and it smelled disgusting. Everything in the play area was sticky and covered with a film of gunk. So much for new owners. This place needs to be inspected, I would not let my dog play there. We left after eating 3 greasy old French fries out of the happy meal. Yuck.
Waited in line 10 minutes to order then 15 minutes for out food. Food was done at 10 minutes but the workers had to admire another workers new necklace and our food sat there. He didnt pay for two drinks and a sandwich because he didnt haveany money but he was bragging he spent $3000 on his new chain. Food was cold and nasty
If I could rate this place lower than 1 star I would. Everytime I come here they get my order wrong. And when they get it right my foods cold. Theres been times where Ive brought my order back and they got it wrong again, handing me someone elses completly different order, Its overall disappointing anytime I come here
Just spent 50+ minutes going through the drive-thru. We were only the third car from the speaker when we got in line. It took more then 20 minutes to get to the speaker where we were ignored for almost another 3. There was no apology for the wait but she took the order correctly. 17 minutes later we got our food. It was wrong...two sandwiches weren’t even wrapped enough to pull out of the bag and what we pulled out is nowhere near what we ordered. We parked ourselves and I went inside to wait for the correct food. More cars gave up and drove off then stayed to be served. As we were leaving we saw a car that had gotten food pulling back in.
Normally in the recent past, this was a very clean McDonalds. But today, each and every table was dirty with left over food stuffs. The floors in and around each table had food crumbs. The seat were impossible to sit on because of left over food. The bathrooms reflected the same as the eating areas. Toilet paper all over the floor. Rest rooms on the New York State Thruway were cleaner. Not looking for any one to lose their job over this, these conditions were not conducive for eating. We were there today about 11am.
I visited this mcdonalds today on 4-10-2019. I ordered 3 meals for breakfast to go visit my mother in the hospital. They messed up every order. I called to see about getting my money back or replacing my order with a new fresh one, I was handed off to 3 different people and got no where. They wouldnt give me any names to speak with the general manager of that store. I wouldnt even feed the burnt steak bagel to my dog! I ordered 2 steak biscuit meals and a bacon egg and cheese biscuit meal and got two steak burnt bagels and a sausage biscuit meal! Soggy hash browns! This place does not care about customer satisfaction at all! Glad I called above their heads! Ib3 worked at McDonalds for years I know what they can and cant do.
We stopped and used the drive through. ( personally I am not thrilled with two lanes that use the same pay window and same order window for pick up , this didnt make things easier, only meant that I had to make sure that no one hit my van when we were merging into the same lane for pickup... Also its the same lady or man taking the order for both lanes, so here again not a saving of time at all, had to wait for her to come on the speaker. Food was not super hot and what we thought was on the dollar menu came to $34.00 ouch, that was 4 sandwiches, 4 fries and 4 drinks... We were in a hurry as we had a party that night and this didnt save us time at all. We were in lane with 4 cars ahead to order, more picking up and the same in the outside lane for ordering... They need to better this location! it is already a busy busy place to get into and out of due to it being at a light!
Was there in 2020 and said i would never go back. However was there july 1st. What a dump. Got a new chicken sandwich. You go a long way to go to beat chick fillette .soda ice only worked on one side soda worked on otherside. Then ask for 2 sundays was told ice cream was out of order
Worst McDonalds in the area including Rochester and Syracuse. I would say 75% of the time I get an item the bread/bagel is stale and hard. The 1/4 pound burger meat is usually dry and nasty with way too much salt/pepper to the point you consider not eating it but you are already home. The food is definitely not made to McDonalds standards but it has been happening for years here, do these guys not get audited/checked?UPDATE 6/17: Still bad.. please use their drive through if you have a half hour of your life you dont need! Seriously they should stop offering drive through service, after about 8 cars drove off I went around the building and inside to order and there wasnt anyone in the lobby, I could understand if the lobby was slammed but it wasnt. Considering they were written up in the newspaper recently for their food safety inspection going poorly it probably wasnt my best choice of the day.
This is the worst McDonalds ever!! This store is lacking proper management, and motivation. Even though drive thru was wrapped around, and lobby was filling up. No one moved it was as if they didnt care. I personally waited 15 minutes for an order of hotcakes, 2 egg muffins, & 3 hash browns. The hash browns were dark and been sitting there well over the proper holding time.We wanted a big breakfast with hotcakes with a folded egg and was told NO! Any other Mcds would have honored our request. We literally went across the street to Burger King for my son, and got his food in less then 2 minutes!!!..That Burger King is killing this Mcds! Its sad that this store is still open and has had such horribble experiences by many many customers. For being a corporate store, this store is a disgrace to the community! Please consider starting over and starting fresh with new people and new managers!!! Only 1 star because it wouldnt let me post without it!!
Pretty standard as far as McDonalds goes. The Play Place inside is a definite draw for kids, and when mine were little, this McDs was a regular stop for us on cold or rainy days, just to give them a place to get the wiggles out. I will complain that the waterfall wall doesnt look great. I dont know why it looks so gross and broken, but it really needs to go. It doesnt help the restaurant look any better.
Absolutely filthy ! Waited over 30 minutes for a egg McMuffin and soda . All the employees seemed confused as to how to preform their position within the restaurant serious lack of organization not to mention my egg McMuffin was missing the cheese and bacon . But the cleanliness of the establishment was bad I probably shouldnt have had that egg McMuffin will never go back to any McDonalds ! Disgusting !!!
This place has been going downhill for a long time. Its a fast food place so I dont expect much but, the service is VERY slow even if they do get the order right. The last time we were there we left and went to Burger King because they were out of soda, they ran out of a lot of food items, just total chaos...
Just waited 5 or so minutes at the drive thru speaker. Another customer did the same at the other speaker. I finally had enough of waiting and drove around to the first window. Hit my horn to get someones attention to let them know they had several cats lined up. Person came to the window,looked at me, finally started taking orders on the headset and then walked walked off.
Terrible experience. To start the smart guy who was taking my order at the drive thru and other people at the same exact time, never turned the mic off so kept screwing up the orders. When I mentioned to him about using mic with one at a time he told me he knew what he was doing etc. So this made a difficult long conversation. Then we get our food order home of course it was wrong. Sausage mcmuffin I ordered had the correct wrapper but a sort of egg mcmuffin in it. And it was soaked assuming with spit because our earlier conversations about the mic. Well to the trash that went. Guess I am done with the McDonalds on grant Ave.
My burgers that I ordered were wrong I ordered two double cheeseburgers without pickles and onions and I ordered two double cheeseburger without onions and my order that I received was two double cheeseburgers with onions and pickles and they were slept together Messi onions everywhere was not happy but I was not going to drive all the way back just to go complain I had groceries in the car so here you go for your results!!!
This is the slowest fast food place ever. Every time I come here Im sitting in the drive thru for at least 10min on a slow day. I once sat in the drive thru for 45mins. I almost just left but I didnt want to waste my money. The drive thru is TERRIBLE!!! This place needs way better management. If your in a hurry forget about coming here. Btw I just typed all this up while sitting in the drive thru... Im NOT coming here anymore. This is ridiculous!
THIS WAS INTERESTING. It was very cold, I could ski a mountain using it. I like the Burger. Once I went to a garage Sale i bought a pair of socks, Im sure it tasted better that burger YUM. I have 4 brothers how about you.My brithday Is soon do you want to come oh wait never. Im a little disappointed that they didnt have Chinese food there. Really they need to have some texture in the Japanese food. Ya SO DONT GO.
Horrible I ordered a twenty piece and fries and and a milkshake and then got cut off by the person in the other drivethru line then got to the window twenty minutes later and they didnt have chocolate milkshakes...so I called the number on the bottom for the manager and they said she wouldnt be there for a few days... Problem not solved... Just go to Burger King across the street better service
We stopped into McDonalds, route 5, in Auburn today, March 24 at about 2:45 pm. This place is the dirtiest, filthiest, most disgusting McDonalds we have ever seen! Food, crumbs, dirty tables, filthy floors everywhere, you name it, it was dirty. The young man that waited on is at the counter had dirty hands, dirty fingernails, and greasy hair. There were maybe e 6 patrons in the whole place, and nobody was cleaning. We will never darken that door again.
Took 15min longer than usual, was given two straws for 3 drinks asked for another was ignored.... was given fries and sat at the window before girl asked if i had a problem... uh... yeah waiting for my 3 burgers... she laughed handed me the bag and closed the window.... still waiting for a shamrock shake... Im sure you can guess what happened next. the fries were cold but at least I got them. not worth the price or wait.
Way too expensive!!!!! 2 egg, bacon and cheese sandwiches, 1 sm coffee and 2 sm orange juices was just shy of $15. Cheese not even warm and almost falling out of roll. Can get a full breakfast for 2 for around $10, and excellent quality and taste at a favorite diner.
I had a disturbing visit the other day to the West End McDonalds in Auburn New York which while I was sitting there at the counter I had video Camp a female who is doing the fries digging down her back side with her left hand and then grabbing the fry container with that hand kind of sad McDonalds is no longer what it used to be
So every time I come here they get my order wrong. Seriously how hard is it job to make the food on ur screen and put it in a bag and hand it to me. Stop going to work high. Management you need to step up and teach ur employees to make the food people order and give it to the right car. Im done going to your fast food place bc it seems like you guys r just pain lazy
Very, very rude. Guy taking my order growled What do you want. Women taking money didnt even care what she was doing. 2nd women threw my food at me then went back to her cell phone. I know it isnt rocket science, but at least pay attention to the person who is paying your pay check. Burger King here I come.
Every time we go there, the kids are too busy flirting with their coworkers to do their jobs, and the order is either incorrect or missing something. Today, for example, they forgot my sons beverage, and didnt put cheese on the cheese burgers. All this, and the fact that the kids at the window rolled his eyes when my husband had the nerve to ask for a drink carrier. How dare he, right? This was the its been a while, lets give them another chance trip. Never again. Horrible.
Whenever the weather is nice, there are always FLIES flying around inside this McDonalds location. Ive bought it up to CRAIG, either the owner or manager-and he wont do a damn thing about it. Neither will other people like the health Dept. Do not eat here. You never know what you will get from eating food that has been touched by nasty flies.
Very slow service tonight...I just went there tonight and after I paid I waited 15 mins to get to the next window. And when I got to the window and told them its been 15 mins she said we were waiting for fries. I think they should have had some ready and not make everyone in the drive through wait.
I will never go to mcdonalds again almost a 20 minute wait for the food and it was cold and hard like it been sitting there all day and i asked for everything to be hot and fresh almost 30 dollars in food that was gross and had to throw away this place has gone to hell and employees have no clue what there doing

2022-02-10The inside has been closed for renovations that I am sure were grants for business improvements during covid. The workers they contracted made a mess of the styrofoam and littered it everywhere. Pictures included. Nearly 5 months later the lobby is still closed, they have one drive thru queue open and service is dismally slow. Now that mask mandate is lifted Im sure they will come up with another excuse as to why they cant open the lobby. I litterally go anywhere but here now. Just sharing my thoughts after wanting to grab breakfast and seeing drivethru around the building. I used to go to mcdonalds everyday for breakfast now I go anywhere else bc everytime I come here I am reminded how much of my time I can save if I go elsewhere. Dont support a company by driving to west side auburn just go across the street.

2022-07-04It was ok. I ordered a sundae because I just gotten dinner and wanted a nice treat after. Good prices, I loved the sundae. The prices was a bit high but that I can understand now due to whats going on now days. I would recommend going there for a quick stop for some good fast food.

2022-08-21I cant tell you the amount of times I have had a bad experience here, slow service, closed at random times even though they claim to be 24 hours, their system is down meaning they are cash only at the worst possible times. They ran out of fries at 6pm, I could go on and on. Its ridiculous, every time I have gone to this location in the last year something negative has happened. I just want to come here and have a quick cheap meal, the last three times I went they had some issue where I couldnt even get my food.

2022-07-26Spent about 3.5 hours here believe it or not- took the kids because it was a rainy New York kind of day and they needed to get some energy out. The playground is completely new and there were a good amount of other kids there to play with, so I let mine play and play they did!!

2022-06-16I waited at the drive thru speaker for 20 mins, Noone even acknowledged I was there. The line had 6 cars in it, 3 customers left. It was not moving. I left to go inside to get my order as it was a mobile order, and when I tried the doors were locked. I had to go out of my way to call the store to tell then I placed a pick up order. I got my food at 808. This is very unsatisfactory. Mobile order is supposed to be the quickiest option. Lets mention on how everytime I go here the doors are almost always locked. You guys are known as a fast food chain, yet nothing is even remotely fast about it, and if it ever is, so many mistakes get made. Please learn how to train your people better to be fast and efficient.

2022-05-10I bought food on the app waited in spot 1 for 30 minutes. They took the money and marked delivered but never brought the food. Then I went to management to explain and ask for help and they treated me like a criminal and laughed at me for trying to get help with a refund or just getting the food I ordered. The apps actual screen receipt disappears after placing the order with no receipts on file so theres no proof in recent orders of your actual order. Will never purchase in app again. Shameful. Lost money and wasted my evening and went home hungry and disappointed.

2022-08-12Customer service is horrible. I got a mocha frappe not whipped cream they still put whipped cream on and when I asked for it to be re made they scooped off what they could and poured in new cup. You clearly could see the whipped cream in bottom the new cup.

2022-06-16I only go here out of convenience getting meals for girls after gymnastics. I dont even know why they ask what sauce they want with the chicken nuggets. 9 out of 10 times we dont even get sauce.....the other time we get the wrong one.
