I go to WENDYS occasionally...although BURGER KING is generally speaking my first choice for a fast food restaurant.This WENDYS...located on Buffalo Road in Gates, New York is in my opinion first rate. I like the ample parking available. I like the layout & convenience & safety of the 🚗 drive-thru service lane as it relates to the restaurants parking lot.The inside of the restaurant is always spit-spot clean...including the mens room...The dining area has a variety of seating choices & table sizes and shapes to select from...I especially like the simulated 🔥-fireplace area with its four [4] padded couch-like chairs & two [2] low-level dining tables...very unique for a fast-food restaurant...!Also the soft-drinks dispenser machine is convenient, easy to use, and offers perhaps 10 to 15 different soft-drinks (plus plain old water...) to choose from.The dining areas lighting is always well-lit (day & night...) and of course the large bay-windows throughout the restaurant add to the spaciousness & pleasure of eating at the restaurant...!And...as expected...the restaurants help & personnel are always courteous and professional.Enough said...!
Order and did not received my drink.Call and spoke to the manager and she did not want to probed me her name. Then she said it was hot fast responsibility to give me a refund. I said”I ordered Wendys” not from Jordash. So rude and unprofessional to customers. Worst service ever.
Horrible customer service. They close the door without notice or even a note on the door. Leaving the customers inside to be yelled at by the annoyed customers that are locked out. One employee yells at the people trying to get in , including a truck driver that had no option to go through the drive thru. On top of this they forgot we were even there and left our food sitting while waiting for someone to come through the drive thru for it. If your not going to be open due to supposed staffing issues a simple sign on the door would go a long way to stop all the frustration.
Aweeeeful customer service. went about a month ago after ordering my kids food on the app and they told me they had no kids meals..😒 ok... so I cant cancel my order through them. I call 2x to customer service waiting a total of 115 minutes. I also emailed 3x with no response. the woman at the franchise told me they dont refund app order to contact wendys. I contact wendys and the first woman says refund issued. 9k 2 weeks goes by still no email response and still no refund. now yest it sonny $22 but the point is is this the way you expect for someone to recieve a refund each time they are out of something ordered on the app? also if I new itd be such a hassle I would have just ordered nuggets. I dont get how they didnt have kids meal? just out of the toy??? idk. makes zero sense. anyway I call back today on the phone waiting for an hour and 5 minutes and the girl prceedes to tell me they dont issue refunds for the franchises. I need to contact them. huh??? why did the first girl tell me I was being refunded. and if that is the case why didnt they refund me when I was there and they didnt have kids meals ugh so all in all hung up with her telling me I could dispute it with my bank which my bank always discourages. or wait to hear from the franchise who doesnt even know how to refund app orders anyway. never again with wendys.
Drive thru wait was way too long. Workers seemed stressed and short handed. Food was cool, not hot. This was my second visit since they remodeled store which was a year or so ago. First visit was same way. I dont think this store is managed well. This is the one on Buffalo Road in Gates. I will not be back to this location.
I have lived around here and frequented this Wendys for years. Over the past couple of years this one has gone steadily downhill. Now during the pandemic Ive seen the longest waits of any fast food chain ever. 4 car waits 30 minutes+. Last month I sat through a 9 car line that took 45 minutes to get through. Food that is barely warm and looks like it sat under the heat lamp for an hour. Chicken nuggets and fries that arent even warm took them over 5 minutes at the window to give me my food after I sat in line for almost 25 minutes. I could go on and on. This pandemic in my opinion is no excuse to give sub par food with sub par service. This is when you restaurants should be stepping it up to show people you deserve the patronage. Youve got take out one order at a time, through one drive through, seems like a better job could be done. I keep going back hoping for a good experience. Wendys has the best fries when they are decently fresh. All I get now is soggy, cooked a half hour ago fries. I havent had a good experience here in over a year. Unfortunately I think the people here do not care about your satisfaction. Even if you did complain and wanted them to cook it fresh, youll sit there for......ever? Right now the Burger King on Pixley is far superior to you guys. Whoever manages this Wendys needs the pull their head out of ... the ground, and get their....stuff together.
The visit started out with waiting at the counter for a few minutes while 5 people watched the fries warm under a light.. I get a rude cashier who mumbled and continued to tell me wait when I was placing my order. Then mr.personality bare hands all the food, cups, lids and straws. I get down the road and the order was wrong. Id stay away from this one, theres better places down the road.
This location has recently been remodeled so looks very modern. Service can be slow at times. Last trip took about 10 minutes to get through the drive thru. Ordering inside is not necessarily much faster. Still, the food is as good as any other Wendys.Update Jan. 5, 2020: at 8:45pm, with the dining room empty and three cars ahead of me, it took 15 minutes to get my food. That is unacceptable. Lowering my rating to three stars.
Typical fast food. The 5 stars goes to the employee who took my order. He was very enthusiastic and went above and beyond the call of customer service. For a minimum wage establishment, it sure is refreshing to see an employee with such a great attitude! This guy deserves a raise! (I came here yesterday 12/7 probably between noon and 2pm)
Super nice updated dining room and casual atmosphere. Fireplace is a nice touch. Friendly customer experience was had and employees went above and beyond to meet satisfaction. Only complaint would be food quality. Chicken tenders we like warm and somewhat stringy and rubbery. Would have like freshly cooked tenders.
This Wendys used to be awesome, the best in Rochester in my experience. In the last year, this one on Buffalo Rd has really gone downhill. The employees always seem miserable and very uninterested in being there. The wait is always very slow, I wait inside for about 35 minutes for my food. And my order is always wrong. Consistently! This isnt one experience. Ive lived here for many years.Should have put the renovation funds towards hiring more employees. Just makes me so sad.
Went tonight and i know they close at 12am on sundays. But I had just got off work and made it at 11:45, at the window the employee was not friendly at all and was impatient with my order. At the window they swiped the money from my hand aggressively and I could hear them saying why is he here this late and they were swearing up a storm. Usually its great service but no one there at the time seemed like they wanted to be there. Food was fine but image is everything with employees.
This was the best fast food experience to date. Once I walked in I was greeted, my order was taken promptly and the food was hot and delicious. But what really made the experience was the manager. He walked around greeting everyone and making conversation, as well as offering mints! Awesome team. Very happy customer.
A very long wait in the Drive-Thru, with only a few cars in front of me. When I finally got up to the window and got my food, it was inedible. The french fries were ice cold, the hamburger was cold and tasted chewy. And my soda had so much ice in it I dont think there was any soda in the cup. Super disappointing, because most Wendys are pretty good.
Inexpensive, tasty, timely, and downright delicious for the price. A true masterpiece of fast food. I recommend the 4 for $4, which always fills me every time! If youre limited on time and want something decent for the price, Wendys is the place to go. Sure, it aint that good for ya, but it makes up for the taste and the price.
I placed a mobile order and added two sour cream and chive baked potatoes. When I got to the window (not at the drive-thru screen) is when I was told they didnt actually have potatoes and offered me baconator fries as a price comparable replacement or an IOU. I asked if they could just cancel the baked potatoes and was told their location is not affiliated with the mobile app so they couldnt cancel the items. I get that they ran out but had I been told at the drive-thru window, I couldve edited my order myself or cancelled and gone to another location that had all the items.
Stopped by around 1015pm. Walked into a mostly empty restaurant and only one car at drive thru. Ended up standing at cash register for 4 minutes until someone finally walked over and took my order. This after being seen by almost every one of the crew members as well as Princess the store manager. Finally put my order in but still had to wait because the person that took my order (no name tag) didnt know how to enter my coupon code from app. Kudos to cashier as he was friendly and efficient. Received my order. The chili wasnt hot enough to melt the cheese. The fries were old not fresh. And the chicken on my sandwich had been around also. All the tables in the restaurant needed to be wiped down. The franchise did a nice job with remodel but now needs to focus on staff. Guess thats why my last visit was back in 2016. Will be a couple more years before I visit this location again
Food is ok... took 30 minutes in the drive through. We were charged for the wrong order but given the correct food. The kid that was working drive through would use the f bomb on occasion and was very confused. We had to repeat the order 3 times... and still had to confirm at the window.
This Wendys is the worst, employees are rude and dont care one bit about you or the food they are serving. I am leaving this review after the 3rd order in a row that was wrong and had stale food. To the employee of this restaurant.. you should be ashamed of yourself and for the managers...you need to do a better job to train your employees and fire the ones that arent customer friendly.
Super slow, someone took my tray so I had to wait even longer..the soda machine? Almost nothing was available except water & Hi-c. The crispy chicken was God awful..dry, hardly any lettuce or Mayo, but yet my 7 yr olds Jr bacon cheeseburger was overflowing w. mayo! The fries were surprisingly good as I was very disappointed at a diff. location, have to have them w. the cheese sauce. Nuggets are still good as usual. But yea sorry guys, I worked at Wendys for a few yrs like 10 yrs ago and always thought it was the best fast food out there..no idk if Ill ever even consider going to another 1
Wendys is my top choice if I have to have fast food. This Wendys is stuck being the only fast food (true fast food) place in this area... meaning they get slammed during the lunch rush from local places and the high school which is across the street.Manager on duty when I was there was great! Super friendly and always had a smile on his face!
Waited 20 minutes, no exaggeration, for a burger and fries. The milkshake machine was broken, which always seems to happen when you order one after 8pm. I received the wrong burger and the wrong sized fries and was told there was nothing they could do about either because there was no manager present. Seemed to be 3 teenagers working the entire kitchen goofing around. The lobby was closed but a handful of non-employees were hanging around inside at a table in the dark. I dont expect much from fast food yet I was still disappointed. Corporate needs to kcufnu this place before I consider eating here again.
Everytime I go to this Wendys I end up waiting 15+ minutes in the drive thru with only 2 other cars in line, and my order is always taken wrong. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and go a few times since its the closest to my job, but I wont be coming to this one again.
Worst experience at a Wendys ever. Wendys in gates ny, 1951 buffalo road was terrible tonight, waited 22 minutes for 2 burgers and 2 orders of nuggets, cookies were like hockey pucks, saw a lady order a salad and wait 20 minutes or more for it as an employee talked badly about the customer. A gentleman take his food back cause the burger was hardly cooked and manager didnt give him a new burger so the couple left. Will never go back to this Wendys again
This is by far the worst Wendys Ive been too horrible customer service . They hire a bunch of young employees that stand around and talk when they should be preparing food. This results in customers food not being made right . The managers arent ANY better they catch attitudes when a customer comes back because the food isnt right or in the bag for that matter !! They need to do a complete employee clean out and rehire better staff !! I would never go back to this location ever !!
Just ordered two spicy chicken sandwich meals from this location. My sandwich had half of a piece of chicken. Not ripped in half, just half a piece, almost like it was a chicken tender. My wife’s sandwich had two of these pieces next to each other. My guess is they used the chicken from their wraps. Maybe they didn’t have the full patties, but if that is the case they need to say that when I order. Out of all the fast food chains in the area, I like Wendy’s chicken sandwiches the best, but this is disappointing and not the first time we’ve had issues at this location. Bit of a drive, but go to the one on Chili Ave. instead.
The worst service Ive ever experienced. Waited in drive thru for almost 30mins and when I got to the window they gave me the wrong order 3 times. Once I get home my daughter begins to eat her frosty and finds 3 long black hairs in it, disgusting. Never going to this place ever again.
Awful!! Screwed up order, cold food, 3rd time this has happened in the last year. Ordered double stacks...came with 1 burger patty each. Called the restaurant and they offered to replace the sandwiches, but I wasnt ready to fight rush hour traffic through 5 miles to get them. The fries and chicken nuggets were also cold and greasy.
Horrifying experience, I seen that there was an young male with no gloves on putting chicken nuggets in the holder and I ask the cashier Whoever makes my food can they please wear gloves seeing how the numbers have raised in COVID-19, the cashier says he dose not have to wear gloves i proceed to ask i just would feel more comfortable if he wore gloves the young man comes over rolls his eyes and says why do I have to wear gloves, I WAS TOTALLY DISGUSTED, And surprised and I left the customer was Very disappointing, I do not recommend this location👎
I cannot even describe how disgusted I am with this place. Hard as a rock cookies, old chicken all dried out, mushroom bacon burger was made without bacon, and the employee coughed in one of our frosties while making it. Another employee had his children waiting for him. They blocked the counter while spilling chocolate milk all over it. One of his children was even using her straw on the counter. One worker finally came over to wipe up the chocolate milk with a wet napkin. She proceeded to prepare food with her bare hands afterwards. On top of all of that, the wait for food was so long that the frosties had turned to liquid. I would give this place negative star rating of it were an option.
Great Customer service and professional I drove 15 minutes from my house just to get Wendys from here because the one next door to my house is so unprofessional and ghetto like if I was on the hood I know they dont make a lot of money but some people choose to work there I will continue to come here because of the great customer service
This specific Wendys is always on point hit fries and fresh meat they try to get everyone out in a decent amount of time but as far as the customers go yall dont think about the technical problems that they go through when it comes down to the registers or something broke down yall.be so quick to hop on either Google or their survey to give them a bad rating or bad survey to put them down why not give them some credit for once do yall think about during the time theyre getting new employees there I believe not understanding that theyre a fast food restaurant instead of bashing them come through drive thru or inside and study the menu nothing about the menu has changed except the fact that their menu has expanded and they took away the teas thats it as far as prices go when taxes go up so does prices yall cant get mad at them about the prices they just work there they follow rules just like yall follow rules at yall job theres no difference and stop changing yall orders at the last minute cause I heard the customer in front of me change her order at least 3 times after the employee asked her did she want the combo or just the sandwich then changed it again as soon as she got to the window.... and as far as the fish sandwich goes havent yall figured it out by now that they dont have fish sandwich wrappers if it just saids chicken or hamburger on the wrapper if they are labeling it chicken thats the closest yall are going to get it as far as fish yes it would make since to have stickers to put on the sandwich but they dont so suck it and shut it up and move it along with your day with that being said they get a 10 from I love yall keep working hard and dont stop doing yall best
Very bad costumer service my child was giving bad fruits when I told the employee all she said was well that’s all we have when sitting here like 3 families had at least one complaint about the order worst Wendy’s ever management needs to get it together so glad this is not my local Wendy’s

2021-08-17I would give them 0 stars if possible. I ordered 2 baconator large meals. Their was only one piece of bacon each sandwich. This is a baconator with multiple pieces. The prices keep going up on meals to supposedly help with the wage increase but the service keeps getting worse!!!!

2022-05-29There was something hard in one piece of my chicken nugget and the cheese on the burger was not melted. Not a very warm sandwich. Fries were good. I would not return to this Wendys location. They said I would need to ask for the cheese to be melted on the burger. I worked at Wendys in the late 80s, early 90s...it was really good back then.

2022-03-23This Wendys has always been terrible even before the renovation. The drive thru line always takes 10-20 mins. The order is always wrong. They always seem to be out of baked potatoes. The grilled chicken is so dry. Its a bunch of young people that dont have manners. The floors were so slippery on the way to and in the bathrooms. The female bathroom looked like it hadnt been cleaned in a few days.

2022-07-28If I could give zero, I would. The food was fine but the sarcastic woman taking the order was a joke. Rude and impatient while there was absolutely no one in the drive thru line. Even commented thank God when we finished our order for only 3 combo meals. Last time I will every spend money here.

2022-03-21The most incompetent workers Ive ever encountered in a Wendys been here about 5 times in the past month and every time they have like 6 workers all focusing on the drive-through and had to wait 5 minutes before anyone served me inside half the time they get your order wrong and takes forever too I dont know why because its never that packed and theres a bunch of workers but it takes forever to get your food. This seems to be the trend with many fast food places now post covid because I remember before I used to go to this Wendys much more often and it was actually good

2022-07-14Food was cold and old. And I waited a very long time for 3 items. A medium French fries a deluxe and a med lemonade that they didnt even put ice in. The worst !!! Never go back
