It is rare these days to be able to thank an organization and its people for such a wonderful experience as I have had with my interactions as well as transactions with Faust Harrison Pianos. From my first visit with Sara Faust, I knew that I was dealing with the best of the best and I was not disappointed as I moved into purchasing a rebuilt model B Steinway. Sara spent a lot of time with me and was so very knowledgeable about each of the pianos and she was able to guide me to ones that she felt were best suited for my musical tastes. When I built a new house that was specifically designed to accommodate both my piano as well as my virtual pipe organ, I decided to move up to the model D rebuilt Steinway because the space needed a larger piano. Sara and her team outdid themselves with the rebuilding of a vintage 1917 Model D which was delivered to me just recently. It is simply a stunning instrument and even though I am basically a beginner at playing, the piano makes practicing a real joy and I am finding myself playing several times a day. I feel very fortunate to have discovered Faust Harrison Pianos because now I am able to enjoy the results of their expert craftsmanship on a daily basis. I enthusiastically can recommend that anyone who is seriously looking for a wonderful piano should look at one of the four locations of Faust Harrison Pianos. Everyone that I encountered, either in Manhattan or White Plains, was so friendly and professional that I was made to feel at home immediately and there was never a moment where I felt any kind of selling pressure. I really appreciated that since my first visit in Manhattan was to just to look around. Little did I know that I would find myself coming back on another visit, from the Dallas area, to actually purchase a Model B Steinway which has now been replaced by the Model D. Very impressed with every aspect. Showroom was terrific. So many great pianos. The sales personnel were terrific and very knowledgeable. We tried several pianos and made our decision. Just a great experience. To top it off the piano almost arrived before we got home - only kidding but super-fast delivery and setup. Finally I am loving the new piano. Highly recommend.

Sara Faust and I have known each other since I bought my Steinway D 1908 from her in 1983. It was at that time she was just starting down the path of becoming the premier piano restorer in the US. Even then her technical knowledge of piano mechanics was formidable. Moreover it was clear she was at heart an artist who appreciated and sought out beautiful piano sound above all else. But she made it clear that without proper technical balance, maintenance, and restoration, the aesthetic that she sought in every instrument could never be achieved. Guided by that mantra, she has consistently over the years enhanced and refined her expertise letting it determine the path for each piano that comes into her business. Her business is not a factory but a real place where Art and great music rule and where anyone who loves beautiful music will find a kindred soul. Over the years it has been a pleasure to keep in touch and put others in touch with instruments from Faust-Harrison that will allow them to achieve and enjoy music making at the highest level at the piano. While living in Manhattan for twenty years it was always a joy to walk into Saras showroom and discover another uniquely beautiful instrument and try out my latest recital program. That was always revelatory and inspiring. Since moving to Minneapolis permanently I always look forward to hearing gorgeous concert instruments around town and hear how they compare to the gold standard found at Faust-Harrison. My wife and I are very pleased with our experience at Faust Harrison. Dean was a great help. He quickly understood our desires and directed us to several of the many pianos on the showroom floor. He patiently allowed privacy as we spent several hours going back and forth, narrowing down our choices. I had a wonderful piano buying experience at FH. Sara Faust was patient and knowledgeable. I was able to try out several pianos at the White Plains and Manhattan showrooms. After I played a C. Bechstein piano, I knew immediately it was an amazing instrument and that this was the one.The post-sale delivery service was professional, and the customer service communication was great. Just had my new Yamaha GC2 delivered. I must say that Faust Harrison Pianos in White Plains did a great job from beginning to end. My purchase was not the easiest to complete considering the baby grand had to be carried up 5 flights of stairs and the old pianohad to be carried down 5 flights. Everyone was delightful and very pleasant to work with. Dean on the sales floor and Chris who did the financing and setting up of the delivery were both knowledgeable and on top of every aspect of my purchase. Faust Harrison is very fortunate to have these guys working on their team. Also, Faust Harrison recommended a Safeway Piano Moving who was the best piano movers I have seen yet. I have moved several times and these piano movers are definitely specialists in piano moving. Jeff and his team worked hard and efficiently and moving forward dont think I would use anyone but them. All in all from beginning to end dealing with Faust Harrison was a pleasure and they have a wonderful showroom of pianos for you to try out carrying many different brands, new and used, different sizes. There is something for everyone there if you are in the piano market.
I had an outstanding experience working with Sara at Faust Piano. I really appreciate her expertise in helping me identify the just right piano for me- my new Mason Hamlin A.I suspect that I am a more complicated buyer than most who come into their store. As a professional musician on a different instrument, my sensitivity to subtle tonal and other variables in a piano is out of balance with my actual ability to create nuance and color through my own technique. For me, I needed to find a high end piano that could deliver more than its fair share in our musical partnership to be fully satisfied.I was impressed by her ability to bring me through the process. It was a pleasure buying a piano from Faust Harrison. Dean was so knowledgeable,courteous, personable, nice and with no pressure. He encouraged me to try as many pianos as I wanted, no rush. And when I finally had it down to two pianos, Paul, the head technician (very knowledgeable) helped me decide with his technical knowledge of the pianos, the company and his experience as a pianist.Altogether doing business with Faust Harrison Pianos couldnt have been better.
Having recently relocated from the boroughs to Westchester county, I finally had space for a grand. With the pandemic and all, it became pertinent for me to be able to work from home as opposed to the studios I had become accustomed to using. Imagine my surprise when I stepped into Faust Harrison and was greeted and assisted by Mrs. Faust herself. She was gracious and played phenomenally, but most importantly after showing me one or two pianos and listening intently to my thoughts on their respective actions and tones, she immediately seemed to grasp exactly what I was looking for and what would work best for my musical and professional needs. All of the pianos are wonderful and the show room was immaculate. Once I had settled on a piano, I was able to humor myself on a Bösendorfer and a Fazioli while the polite and friendly attendants finalized my financing. I will be returning to Faust Harrison for my next instrument and I highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a new piano. Thank you all for the wonderful experience!
Working with Dean Tomanelli at Faust Harrison has been nothing short of amazing! We found a superior piano at a great price, and Dean was the catalyst for making the whole thing happen. The work done by the FH technicians on the piano we bought was top-notch, and quite unique. I purchased a Yamaha CLP625 through the online portal and it was a really good experience! The piano was delivered right on time, in perfect condition (new). I couldnt be happier with my new Yamaha baby grand!!! Im like a pig in the mud. Im very grateful to Sara Faust for hearing me out as I tried, not always articulately, to explain my needs. Im a professional composer and not a performer, but I need a sound that inspires me, and also with the basic Silent Piano feature to be able to work in the quiet hours in my Manhattan apartment studio. Sara showed me several great pianos and then her eyes lit up and she brought me to the back room where she had a lightly used Yamaha baby grand GB1K, in spotless condition, that already had the silent piano feature I was interested in (the SG2 rather than the newer one) plus the Damp Chaser climate control also installed, both of which I would have had to install after market.However, she urged me, before committing, to hear some other related options to be sure, to visit their Manhattan showroom as well. I did, and the team members there were also very helpful and totally accommodating as I spent nearly 2 hours running from piano to piano to compare. I learned a lot from them that helped me feel confident in the final decision.It turns out Saras original instinct was spot on. The used GB1K was not only a huge savings for me, but more importantly, THE PERFECT PIANO for me! I am totally wallowing in its gorgeous sound. Sara, herself a former concert pianist, and her team members many of whom are also very serious musicians (her Manhattan store rep is an active composer), really seem to take deep satisfaction in matching people with the perfect piano, like theyre planting seeds for more music in our world.The delivery was fast and very professional. The range of available pianos at Faust Harrison was enormous. Sara was very helpful, explaining the appropriate choices, guiding me through a sensible selection process, and setting up times when I could view and try out the pianos.
I helped organize a group of professional piano teachers that took a tour of the rebuilding facilities. We were all totally impressed. It went way beyond our expectations. The management went all out for us. In addition to the top notch rebuild facilities, the wonderful showroom has a large stock of high quality instruments. Well worth the trip from Morris County, NJ. Several members are already making plans of returning. !!!!
We bought our piano (new) from Faust a few years ago and have never been disappointed. The salesmans (Christopher) methodical representation of offerings - above and below our loosely formed budget -were filled with the virtues of all the possibilities. No choice was bad - and he even spoke about instruments that werent available from Faust - and why they might be worthy of comparison. Zero pressure. But why stray from Faust - they have them all! A year or 2 later I discovered that we had paid an extremely fair price for our Yamaha disklavier. Highly recommend.
I found a used player piano on ebay listed by Faust Harrison Pianos, but needed more flexible payment options. I contacted them and was quickly aided in working out the down payment and financing the balance. Online paper work was fairly painless and completed in a reasonable time. Next thing I knew I was in New York to take delivery of the piano. Someone missed a step, and they didnt know I was coming, but they didnt hesitate to get the piano out to my vehicle and finalize the paperwork so I could be on my way home to North Carolina. It was a complicated purchase, made easy by professionals that know what they are doing and who to include in the process at each step of the way. They have another satisfied customer as a result of their team effort and willingness to work through the parts of the process that went a little bit off course.
This location has a great selection and very friendly staff. Dean was very patient and helpful with my purchase of a new upright piano. He also helped me fix a problem with the piano bench and even provided some contacts for piano lessons.

If you are familiar with those contact us email addresses at the bottom of a companys website, then you, like me, use them as a last resort when an issue arises since they seem to go into a blackhole from which a response never emerges. Not so with Faust Pianos. Response within an hour letting me know that they addressed the issue and made arrangements to fix it immediately. Not some date in the future - they fixed the problem right then and there. Then they emailed and called multiple times to make sure we were satisfied. Would recommend them without hesitation as they really seem to care about customers and their reputation. Thanks for the great service and great experience.
I recently took the plunge to trade in my childhood piano for a fine instrument and contacted Sara Faust at her Westchester showroom. Sara was a joy to work with and I cannot recommend her and her staff highly enough. She is not only a fine musician, but she’s a keenly sensitive listener who encouraged me to take my time in finding the perfect piano for me. Her love of music, deep knowledge, intelligent advice and generosity with her time were evident in every aspect of our search.I wanted a fine acoustic piano coupled with the ability to play ‘silently’ through earphones to spare my family from my practice sessions. Once I decided on the Bechstein 124, so deep was her desire for me to be happy in my choice that she made it possible for me to see the same piano in the two wood finishes I preferred so that I could have my choice !I am now the very happy owner of a Bechstein 124 equipped with the Vario silent feature, in a gorgeous walnut finish — and I’m playing to my heart’s content. Dear Sara, Dean, and Eric,After our purchase this summer of the “Blackmore” 1894 Steinway upright, I meant to send this thank-you email, but the summer got away, so here I am at my desk reflecting on things undone but also on the nice things in our life. One of them is the wonderful piano you sold me for our house in Maine. Everything about your company’s performance in the transaction was excellent. Dean Tomanelli was a superb and knowledgeable representative of the company and helped at every step of the way, from getting the extra regulation which I had requested, to removing the candelabras (but not permanently, if we should change our minds), exploring the feasibility of a damp chaser (not feasible), getting the nice double bench in the right color, and handling shipping arrangements (two very brawny men did it all, without making any marks on our floors or chipping any paint on nearby moldings). Best, Dean is an excellent musician himself and was able to guide me in the selection of that piano. The Bechstein upright I bought at FaustHarrison is a superior instrument in every way. Clarity, bell-like tone, even registration, capable of much depth. The personal help I received from Sara Faust herself in picking out this instrument was exceptional---I could not have asked for more, during multiple visits to FH in Westchester. In addition, I got wonderful assistance from her chief technician and chief tuner (both of whom are truly expert). Returning to piano studies for the third time in seventy years has been a pleasure, thanks to FH and to Sara herself. Not co-incidentally, I received the same careful treatment and attention to detail and personal taste in the NYC branch of FH with Richard Sasnow. You cannot do better thank look for a good/great instrument under Sara’s care and supervision.
I live in San Francisco, but was in NYC a few months ago where I visited the Faust Harrison Piano showroom in Manhattan. I was happy to see that they now carry C. Bechstein pianos, since Ive been interested in a C. Bechstein Concert 8 upright piano for some time. I played it, Sales Manager Richard Sasnow played it for me so I could stand back and listen, and I instantly knew I wanted it. My living space in San Francisco is not quite big enough for a grand -- I already had one but it just took up too much room. So when I got home I sold it and called Richard to see if he still had the Concert 8. Lucky for me, he did. I was offered a terrific deal and the piano was shipped to San Francisco via Los Angeles. When it arrived, there were numerous minor scratches on the finish, the damper pedal clicked, and it was somewhat out of the after riding in a truck from NYC. Faust Harrisons head technician, Beau Clark, found a fantastic tuner who fixed the pedal and tuned the piano to utter perfection. Then he found a first-class piano refinisher who drove to SF from Sacramento. He buffed out the entire piano and now it looks like it no one has ever breathed on it, let alone touched it. The whole experience was first-class from start to finish. The piano is a dream -- and the dealership really cares about customer satisfaction. The next time a friend starts talking about a new piano, Ill tell him to skip the California sales tax and fly to Faust Harrison in NYC where hell get incredible service and one of the finest pianos to be found anywhere, regardless of the brand he chooses. Needless to say at this point, but I am a very happy camper (uh, pianist).

I happened upon the store in White Plains a couple of years ago and was absolutely fascinated and delighted at the look of the place and the selection. Now that Ive finally purchased my fine upright, I regret I know longer have the reason to restore my senses and puruse the place. Dean graciously received me when Id walk through the doors every so often over the years and allow me to freely and without pressure try out as many pianos as I liked until I came across one I could afford and one I adore. Beau who came to tune the piano gave excellent and precise advice on how to care for the piano and is always available by phone or email to answer my questions. Ive never played such a beautiful piano as the one I finally gifted myself.
I only have positive things to say about the attention I received from Faust Harrison staff, from sales associates at the show rooms to sales administration and after-sales service. Everyone I interacted with was kind and competent.

2022-04-01We originally placed an order for a Yamaha clp795gp in June of 2021 with our local piano dealer. After months of waiting, and no delivery date due to supply chain issues, we canceled with our local dealer. He told us the wait time could be up to a year, we had already waited 8 months and were utterly frustrated.Thats when I decided to go on line and research. I found Faust Harrison out of New York. We are in Nevada. After seeing on the web site that they had our piano in stock, I decided to call. I wanted assurances that I would not have to wait another 8 months, and requested a picture of a clp795gp in a shipping crate in their warehouse. Guess What? They sent one via text!We completed the transaction on the phone. The piano was shipped out within two days, and in our home in about a week and a half!We are just thrilled with this superb piano! It arrived in flawless condition. You will see 5 star reviews across the board, and for good reason, we had a fantastic experience with Faust Harrison. They respond quickly to any emails and are with you every step of the way. Buy with confidence!

2021-09-08I contacted Faust Harrison to fix a 30+ year old Yamaha Disklavier piano that would no longer turn on. They were always very fast at communication, and were also upfront with me about the cost, timeline, and associated risks with trying to make the repair on such an old unit. They also explained all of my other options (from buying a similar used piano, to buying a new piano with more features).When we decided to go forward with the repair, everything went very smoothly. The technician was knowledgable and able to make the repair over 2 visits (exactly as it was originally described to me) and my player piano works again! I couldnt be happier with the service or outcome.
