This is such a gorgeous store with amazing handcrafted products. It’s definitely spendy but worth it. Wonderful friendly and helpful staff.
Been here a couple of times. For their grand opening... For their waxing workshops... For general purchasing needs... Etc. Overall, this flagship store is everything youd imagine the store to look and feel. Its even better in person. Rugged, outdoorsy, modern, and useful. The sales people are nice. They dont push you to buy anything and if open to help you with anything from how to wax, how to send back a product for repair, and general products. Most people who come in are loyal filson enthusiast of the community. They wear filson for years and you can tell. The other people are those who wear it for fashion which is fine too. Theres a sales twice a year and usually the discounts are about 50% off. However, the things I like that are limited edition are usually not there in the sales. In my opinion, the most worth it products are their Mackinaw wool and bags with bridle leather which I can attest to last years. I have had one of my zippered totes since 2011 and it still looks great. The other items are just not worth it for the prices like a Uber small coin purse that didnt have a handle keychain for $75 and it was smaller than the palm of my hand. But... Overall great store to peruse and maybe get something that can last you for years to come!!!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY they do not stand behind their product like they say they do. i bought a jacket and when i got home it had a small hole in the back. called up they said to send back for a new jacket. never got a new jacket they fixed the whole and sent it back to me. almost 400 bucks for a damaged productdo not buy from them
Great to finally get to this shop and was happy to check out the sale upstairs, one heavy coat later and we were off home and happy.
I purchased the Alaska down parka for myself as a Christmas gift to me. It’s hands down the warmest and best quality coat I’ve ever owned. And it was in a huge sale! Kevin was amazing and helped me purchase it over the phone and had it overnighted to me so I had it for the holiday! Amazing quality and service.
Staff were very helpful, immediately walked me to the briefcases and provided information on other colors/options available. Store was clean. Only took a look at the first floor, plenty of small accessories for gifts.
Bought a great hoodie here thanks to Kedricks help. Really nice staff! Clothing seems well made and sturdy. Planning on visiting again in the future.

Solid products, made with high quality materials and great craftsmanship, worth the price paid for.Bags are perhaps the primary product of the brand but other products are completely worth trying.Very friendly and polite staff, helpful too, store is located at prime location as-well. Great collection.Must try.
Excellent service and clothes cut mainly for lumberjacks. Im built like a marathoner, so small shirt is fine in the body and the sleeves are too short. Sleeves are right length on medium but body is cut like a bed sheet. I stick with pants.

Great products but zero customer service. I went in to buy a work bag but the staff was too busy hanging out chatting among themselves to even make eye contact, let alone ask if we needed help. The item I was interested wasn’t even tagged for me to self navigate.I followed up with a letter to their customer service e-mail which fell in deaf ears as I received no response.I’m new to the brand and my take is that they’re arrogant across the board. At this price point some service is in order.
My wife and I went to the Broadway store Sunday (day 2 of opening). (I kinda enticed my wife with the oyster bar they set up). Yet, she was impressed with most of the Filson wares as well as the store itself - as was I.The store was quite packed with those wanting to take a look see and partake in the festivities.The store has 2 levels - womens clothing being on the second floor. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The store is fairly small but I suspect they have more clothing and different sizes in the basement. The actual beams and wood are from an old barn in the Pacific NW and give the store a good vibe.Filson has been around for over a hundred years and they had their first NYC store (Old Jones St in NoHo) a few years ago, which I like also. I think this makes a great addition to the brand and makes buying a lot easier for those interested in the getting Filson products. I wish both stores only the best!
Ive shopped Filson online for years. Walking into this shop, tucked away and unassuming on Broadway, I have to say: this is exactly what a Filson brick and mortar should be. The design of the store is like walking out of NYC and into a log cabin in Yellowstone. The authentic feel and the odds and ends that decorate the walls make shopping here a true experience, something that so many other brands fail to provide in a shop. The staff are incredibly helpful and seem to really enjoy the product they are there to represent. A plus: they frequently have items in-stock that are sold out online.Overall just an exceptional shopping experience. Its the kind of store that you will start finding excuses to shop in.

Very cool retail space. Staff were welcoming and proud to show off some of the unique design features, artwork, design etc of the store. Got a friendly hello from every staff there. The gear and clothing is built to last - you’ll spend a bit more for stuff that’ll last forever. Worth popping in even just to check out the space.

This is what I guess I would imagine a Filson store to look like. It has way more taste and charm than it needs to. The staff were very helpful. Not everything was on display but they had everything in stock that we inquired about. Its not a huge space, but it is bursting with all sorts of things. There is also a well stocked womens section upstairs.
Biggest fan as well as one of my favorite brands and excited that they now have a physical location here in the city, but unfortunately they did not stand by there product. I purchased a shirt from a third party and only wore it once awhile ago - although I knew it was to late to return they could have at least offered me a discount for me not being satisfied. They literally did nothing for me despite the brand having a guarantee on there products. Im really disappointed
I enjoy the brand and quality of Filson, as I shop at their union square location for my grandsons. However, I am truly disappointed with the management team there. As I am a proud gma of my two bi-racial grandsons. I notice after shopping at this location for over 6 months, they DO NOT hire or promote anyone other than that of Caucasian race. Which leaves me with no explanations for my grand boys.Its 2019 for goodness sake, BE MORE DIVERSE, BE FAIR, BE EQUAL!!!!!
This place is heaven. I didn’t end up buying anything, so I figured I’d leave a good review to assuage my guilt. The people working were incredibly helpful, and dug through their inventory so I could try on a coat (one I mean to purchase when it gets a little closer to wintertime) and they brought me the size I requested, and one size down, since the aforementioned coat tends to run rather large. I’m glad they did, because now I won’t make the mistake of ordering the coat a size to big. The Filson website itself suggested I order a size even bigger than the one I initially tried, which would have left me absolutely swimming in excess coat. Anywho, I’m definitely going to come back to purchase the coat when I finally do, this store is great. I found myself exclaiming “this is like Willy Wonka’s factory”, and for people who love the Filson brand, it truly is.P.S. the vintage Levi’s they sell in store are not only wicked cool, but worthy of a visit all on their own.
Between the stunningly beautiful woman that works here,the Filson attired hipsters,right out of central casting that work here and the wonderful array of high quality Filson product,the effect is simply intoxicating

2022-05-29Wonderful store and very helpful staff. Was looking for a specific bag and showed me a number of options and even showed me one that was heavily discounted. Ended up spending the money I saved, on a belt and some T-shirt’s :).Think of this brand as an American Barbour. Great store experience if you want to see the quality of the products.

2022-04-17Nice stuff, but judgy staff.I was lured into the store by the outdoorsy vibe and merchandise on the window. Unfortunately, after searching through the whole main floor and back looking for an item, I had to break up the various staff casually chatting with each other and intently ignoring me to ask. Worse yet, when I asked where I could find the item, the one associate that responded started by stating the price first, followed by where its located. The staff member did then show me the item and spoke a bit about the materials, but almost in a condescending way when explaining what a lining was. Although the merchandise is nice enough, I was too turned off by the staff to make a purchase.+ 1 star for the store aesthetic.+ 1 star for the merchandise.- 3 stars for the staff ignoring interested customers.PS - I took a catalog to shop sans-snobbery when it became overwhelmingly clear there was only one model type; bearded white men. Both the brick and mortar store and overall brand have some work to do.

2022-04-04Seattles answer to LL Bean for outdoors clothing and accessories. The terrific staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Prices are right in line with the quality of goods here. Lovely place to just hang and chat then eventually buy a shirt. I did. Big thumbs up 👍

2022-05-03Flagship store in the east coast, it’s designed to the littlest details, like an aged forest cabin. I love their products, they last a lifetime. I only regret I don’t use my duffle bag often enough to develop a patina.

2021-12-29Have traveled with my Folsom bag to over 50 countries. Leather was wearing in part to my own novice mistakes. They totally helped and went above and beyond to fix the straps. Staff is ver knowledgeable and they care about what they do. Love this store and the people that work there

2022-01-02Heavy duty wool pants, vests and jackets are no joke in the backcountry. Keep you warm and take a licking like nothing else. Pullman, rucksack and tote bags are incredibly rugged and sturdy and worth the $$. Used to be the high price tags were part of company value to pay employees a living wage/ insurance but don’t know if that sustained in the move to trendy.

2021-10-17I was in search of a very specific size/color of a anorak that was sold out almost everywhere and was directed to this store across the country. Called them and they were very helpful finding my item for me and taking my order over the phone, they were quick and friendly. They shipped me my item fast and free and I even received a hand written note from the employee who helped me, Kevin, telling me to enjoy my northwest fall.The item was great which is typical for Filson, and the great customer service is the kind of thing that makes you want to keep doing business with a company.
