This was my first time getting my hair done by Jacob and I was SO extremely happy with it. Im always nervous to go to someone new for hair coloring, but I am so glad I did. Jacob is so personable and talented with what he does. I came in wanting my hair to be blonder & let him make the ultimate call on what he thought would work best for my hair. Even after he was finished he offered to add more a few days later if I had wanted, truly showing that he cares about his customers happiness & satisfaction with the service. The place is beautiful and clean and he limits clients to maintain social distancing and safety precautions (which was great). I am so happy to have found my new go-to place & truly believe its worth the 5 stars!
Words cant even explain how happy I am with my hair color!!! Jacob is seriously the best colorist ever... Period. He knew exactly what I wanted simply by looking at the photos I showed him and taking the time to figure out what would work perfectly for my hair. Ive been trying to find someone who could achieve what Ive wanted for so long and I finally found Fine Artistik Salon - Im never going anywhere else. He is personable and I love the space, its relaxing and he uses the best, high quality products! My color is natural, sun kissed and perfect!! 😁✌
All I can say is wow! I am not a big reviewer, but experiences like this motivate me to go out of my way to note the experience. I decided to give this place a call after seeing their reviews for a last minute balayage highlights and haircut on Tuesday. I did not have an appointment and they said they could get me right in, which was wonderful, but thats not even the best part... Jacob who did my hair was just lovely and it ended up being the best color and haircut I have ever gotten! He was the phenomenal! I swear I left looking and feeling like a million bucks. I have received so many compliments and I am very pleased. This was a gem to find and I am extremely grateful as I plan on going back. Thank you Jacob!
After my last weeks visit to this salon this is now my permanent salon. Jacob was absolutely amazing from the start! Having Asian hair, Ive really struggled finding good salons that knew their stuff and how to handle my hair. This time, I wanted to dye my hair a little more ambitiously than I usually do, but like everyone else I was nervous. I went in for a consultation first just to see if silvery-gray hair was even possible because of the nature of my hair, and Jacob was completely honest with me and gave me my best options. I really respected the fact that he both recognized his limits but also knew how far he could push them. I ended up scheduling my appointment for to work with his and my schedule, and more importantly because he was honest and straightforward with me. The hair is beautiful!! He definitely knows what hes doing and explained the process as we were going through it very thoroughly. It took a long time but worth every second!!
I had a wonderful experience with Jacob. We easily communicated via email and setup the appointment time along with what I wanted. He took time to ensure top results along with preserving my hairs quality during the bleaching process. He was very professional and I really valued his attentiveness to my service. Im looking forward to finishing my silver balayage with Jacob!!
I did so much research on where I wanted to get my first balayage hair service. Fine Artistik Hair Salon had the best reviews, and theyre well deserved.Scheduling my appointment was super easy! Jacob is really the best and immediately understood color and cut I wanted. H listened to exactly what I wanted (ashy-grey lob) and he DELIVERED. He set my expectations on what hed be able to accomplish and gave me so many tips for how to take care of my hair post-dye. I loved that the salon is small, cozy, clean and theyre booking one client at a time. I felt safe! The salon is so vibrant and you can tell Jacob loves being there, loves what he does and he is good at it! Its pricey, but worth it.
I have very dark brown hair and have started my journey to light blonde with balayage. I went in for 2 appointments over the last 3 weeks and am so pleased with the results. Jacob was so helpful and answered all of my questions patiently and offered solutions on the best way to get my hair light blonde over the course of the next 4-6 months. He is very knowledgeable and fun to be around. I’m so happy I found him as my stylist - go to him for your next color and haircut appointment you won’t regret it!
Since covid-19 began my husband and myself tried to color my hair to keep up with what my previous colorist did using madison reed salon color but it just want working. I was in need of a major color correction. My highlights turned brassy. My roots turned to dark. My haircut was a mess. My hair texture was dry. I was frustrated! I tried reaching out to my colorist but apparently the salon she worked in closed and she moved to FL. My husband understanding my frustration somehow found Jacob and this amazing salon. He booked me to get my hair done as a gift. Jacob is a gem! He understood me. He gave me the perfect chocolate brown color which is soft and shiny on top of that he balayage highlights my hair using olaplex and gloss. My hair is so silky! It is the color I had. He is a master at his craft. Ladies, if you are like me, who was stuck home and couldnt get her hair done or you are simply looking for someone talented this is the salon to go to!
Fantastic hair salon for balayage highlights with super talented stylist! Small yet modern cozy private salon. Very clean. Jacob is so nice attentive and brilliant. I was there today for hair color correction. He was able to correct my bad balayage highlights and give me the color I wanted. It only took 3 hours. I found this place online when I was searching for balayage highlights salons NYC and the reviews didnt lie. I am in love with my hair color. We talked. Laughed. Bonded. Ate chocolate. Jacob gave me my first official balayage highlights and I was really happy with the results! Something that I really appreciated was him being upfront with the process before starting on my hair, so that I knew what hair color I would have. Usually this doesnt happen and I end up with a wrong color or the highlights I didnt ask for.He was super friendly, funny and definitely worked hard on making sure I would get the results I wanted. He really cared about making sure we were on the same page about the color I was thinking of, and he was really patient too which was helpful because I know absolutely nothing about hair.Ive never had my hair done to where I loved my hair and Im really glad I chose Jacob, the salon is known for being the best highlights salons and he definitely took his time and didnt rush anything. I love how my balayage looks :)
I want to thank Jacob for giving me a brand new hair and confidence! All of my life I have never done anything big to my hair and a main part of the reason is that I’ve always been scared that if I let other people touch my hair they will ruin my hair. My hair is like my baby to me! From the time I walked into the salon to the time I got out Jacob made me feel so comfortable. He made sure I was good every step of the way. I went from black untouched hair to caramel balayage highlights with a several purple strands. Jacob was so gentle and polite with me and didn’t burn my scalp or pull my hair. I went to work feeling like a new person with confidence and I got so many, many, many compliments. Thank you Jacob for the beautiful service. I had my first appointment today for a color correction. When I originally met with Jacob he told me it would take 2 to 4 visits to get the hair color I wanted without damaging my hair. Today in 1 visit he was able to do balayage highlights and to correct my hair color without damaging my hair and the best part it only took him 3 hours. He is so talented. Brilliant! He recommended we use the Olaplex for my hair. When I got home I was full of smiles that even my husband noticed the hair. Literally this is the best salon for color correction especially balayage highlights salons. I am soooooo thrilled with my hair!
I wanted to get a caramel brown balayage and after seeing Fine Artistik Hair Salon good reviews I made an appointment with Jacob! Jacob was nice and professional he gave me the color that I wanted and he did an amazing job with my hair. I highly recommended this place and the price is worth paying! Jacob is a true professional, knowledgeable and kind. My hair was a post pandemic kitchen salon wreck, And his artistic vision pulled me out of that mess! Truly knows how to handle over processed, High lift hair because if you have it you know how bad it can be. Jacob is true Blonde Specialist in my eyes, and his scalp massage 💆🏼♀️ was to die for. Best of all I thought I would have to cut it so much shorter than it needed and he saved my long hair!!!. Today Jacob did gods work.
My last hair colorist and I had to part ways and I had to get back onto searching to find a new salon I can trust with my blonde delicate hair. The staff and stylist are all pleasant and cheerful. I booked the appointment with Jacob for partial highlights and tone to fix my last stylist mistakes, Jacob was sweet and his priority was keeping the integrity of my hair as well as meeting my hair needs, my hair is kinda delicate and just with the little he did my hair looked sooo much better! He recommended completely something different which at first I was nervous but he said it will be better for my hair then to always getting highlights and continue bleaching. We did hair color and balayage with olaplex. My hair is AMAZING. The salon is a must for blondes, high end quality salon without the bad attitude that comes with lots of salons. If you are on the fence about trying this salon trust me do it! Jacob is worth EVERY penny!! I came in with long black hair down to my waist and left with blue, purple and pink hair thats shoulder length and I have never gotten so many compliments in one day! I brought in a picture and explained what I wanted, and he was attentive, knowledgeable and he kept it straight with me the entire time! I loved my experience working with Jacob. After being with another stylist for 3+ years, making a decision to switch hair artists is a major one, but I just knew something wasnt quite going well in terms of my brown->blonde hair. Jacob knew immediately what the problem was with my hair and how to fix it. I left with beautiful, natural looking baleyage highlights. My fiance was amazed! Feeling fab, thanks Jacob.

I had a disaster happen to my color on Saturday I left the salon in tears literally looking for a salon to correct the blonde highlights I had and came across this magnificent salon and one of the most talented hair stylists Jacob !!!!! Fantastic hair salon with outstanding hair stylist! I am naturally a brunette and wanted soft sun-kissed balayage on my hair. Jacob is brilliant! I showed him some photos of what I want & dont want. I also wanted long hair for my anniversary getaway and asked him about adding some hair extensions. He suggested tapein. We picked out the exact tone that matched my hair. Nobody even realized I had extensions. It looked so natural. My friends were shocked when I told them. Jacob is honest, straightforward, professional, funny & knowledgeable. Small but spacious salon with modern vibes. Feels very private and he gives you all the attention. This is definitely a five star review from me!
I just moved here from out of state and needed to find my go to hair salon. I tried Fine Artistik Salon because of its reviews but it definitely exceeded my expectations. It was very clean and everyone is so polite and professional. Jacob did my hair and it came out so much better than I even thought it would. This is the first time I havent left with super brassy color and had to return several times to get the perfect color. He took his time with every step to make sure everything came out perfect. My natural hair color is dark brown and I love my hair colored into platinum with silver tones. This is going to be my salon while Im here and I am so grateful I found it!
I had the BEST experience last weekend at Fine Artistik Salon. I booked an appointment for a color correction and cut with Jacob. As soon as I walked in, I was warmly greeted by Jacob and was offered a beverage of choice (water, sparkling water or wine).After I got my water, Jacob made sure I was comfortable. He asked me what happened and why wasnt I happy with the color and the color I wanted to achieve. He told me what needs to be done to my color and balayage highlights in order to achieve my desired hair color and made sure I was on board with everything. I also liked how he took the time to explain everything to me. He got started right away, painting my hair and then ending with a shampoo wash, a lovely scalp massage and then came the haircut. I was so relaxed!As I turned around in my chair to see the complete product, I was absolutely thrilled! The color was perfect and really brought out my eyes and there was no damage done to my hair. The cut was also how I wanted it -- a few layers and just a couple inches off the bottom.If you want a great salon experience and great color, go see Jacob! He is the best!
Very clean safe salon with a true artist, Jacob. Literally the best balayage highlights salon NYC! In the mid of the pandemic Ive tried to color my own hair, that was a fail. I asked my bf to help me, that was a fail. Finally my bf asked to find a good hair salon specializing in hair color but importantly hair color correction. I found this incredible salon. Very easy to book an appointment. I met with Jacob. I showed him the mess my bf and I created, we laughed and then he told me what, why & how. Im an artist myself and I saw the same passion in Jacob while he was working on my hair. Brilliant! Professional. Determined. Passionate. I left the salon very happy feeling like a new version of myself. Of course I am very sad that so many businesses have closed due to the pandemic and at the same time I am so happy that Jacob and the salon survived through the pandemic. We wish you well and looking forward to my next visit.
My mother and I tried this place for the first time. Jacob was super sweet and inviting. He asked us what we wanted done to our hair and fulfilled our requests. We were very pleased with the outcome. I used to go to another salon in the neighborhood but when my colorist moved (whom I followed for years) I tried someone else in the salon but it just wasnt the same so it was time for me to find a new salon. My color is rich and natural - after having my hair colored at this salon with Jacob I have gotten so many compliments. People cant believe Im not a natural blond (I have medium brown hair which, at this point, is more grey than anything.) The texture is great. Jacob did a fantastic job at protecting the integrity of my hair - so its not dry.I cant say enough good things. The salon is much more relaxed than the previous one - playful and not snobby. It doesnt take itself too seriously.Jacob is pretty in tune with his clients - at least from what Ive experienced and see. If you want to talk, great. If you want to catch up on magazines or work, thats fine too.
Yesterday was the first time that I came to the Artistik Salon. I recently moved out from Minnesota and was nervous about getting a stylist in New York City until I found this gem! My stylist was Jacob. He did a olaplex treatment, full foil, gloss and a haircut and Im absolutely in love with it! He really took the time to hear me out on what I wanted done as well as gave some of his own expertise to make my hair look AMAZING! Jacob was easy to talk with which made my experience that much better 😁 The whole vibe of the salon is great, everyone that you encounter is friendly. Theres really nothing more that I could ask for in a salon and stylist. I will be returning to see him in the near future for all my hair needs!
Fine Artistik Hair Salon is my favorite salon. Jacob is always so welcoming and professional. Hes literally the first stylist I have complete trust in. He is able to understand my needs and never pushes his own views but offers suggestions based on what my vision for my hair is. Jacob always makes my hair look gorgeous and natural with his unparalleled skills in hair coloring and balayage hair painting techniques plus he has a great positive energy. He is amazing and I cant recommend him enough. It is a small salon and he only books clients by appointments which is highly appreciated because he spends his time on your hair and it is absolutely COVID-19 safe.

This is one of the best hair salons Ive been to, SO CLEAN with a nice modern vibe!Jacob was amazing! we laughed and talk.. he took his time, he looked at my hair how it flowed.. he explained how my hair would turn out..I did a balayage that did not tear out my hair!! his technique is breakage free..Im so careful about my hair especially since its fine and who touches it and how its done but Jacob actually cared for my hair and about leaving it in good condition and I could not appreciate that more! DEF recommend, I will be back soon :)

Jacob is an absolute pleasure to work with. He is patient, kind, and oh so dedicated to putting his best into every cut, balayage, and hair extension. I honestly do not know how he does it. My hair has never looked better! Not does it only look good but it also feels soft and healthy!

I have been using Jacob for several years. I was looking for a stylist who I could connect with in terms of understanding the vision I had for my hair cut and color. Unfortunately, my hair is thin and it is difficult to do a lot with it. Jacob had great patience getting to know how to work with my hair; its texture and limitations. He was generous with his time; not rushing me out of the salon because he had other clients coming in, but each step of the cut and color process, informing me of what he was doing and working with me so that in the end, I was OVER THE MOON happy! In terms of my cut, he makes suggestions all the time to add some new styling to it, or make the hair look thicker, and never just cuts away or is scissor happy! With color, he definitely knows what works in terms of too light, too dark, too brassy, too white, and frankly, what just wont work for your face, even though YOU think it will! (In the end - TRUST JACOB! It will save you LOTS of time and heartache!) The salon is always spotless and the noise level is one where you can hear yourself speak. Now, as we sadly deal with Covid, Jacob is following ALL rules of social distance and cleanliness. There is never more than one or two people in the salon at the same time, he makes you use sanitizer the minute you come into the salon, (yes, he uses it all the time), no one is allowed in the salon without a mask, and ALL of the chairs and tools are sanitized between clients. He is 125% compliant! Jacob is a rare find and I intend to be using him for many years to come!!

Not only am I new to New York but Manhattan as well. I did some research, called a few salons and decided on Fine Artistik Salon after reading its fantastic reviews. When I called I spoke to Jacob he assured me that he understood my concerns as a stylist and I made an appointment. This salon ABSOLUTELY deserve their high marks. Above all, Jacob is extremely talented.He listened and provided feedback to ensure that I indeed received the color and cut I wanted. Im very happy with the results, and walked out of there feeling as if I had Playmate/Victoria Secret Angel hair. I was there for 5 hours but only because I did need the color makeover. I had way to many different colors and Jacob was trying to fix all of that with the least amount of damage, and he succeeded.I appreciated him just concentrating on my hair and not engaging in a lot of chit chat. Its not that Im an unsociable person, but it allowed me to relax and for him to focus on his fine work. I liked being able to choose a a shampoo and conditioner to take home.I have certainly found my stylist, and look forward to my next appointment. Today I had my first appointment with Jacob of Fine Artistik Salon after a box dye-job gone wrong. (Honestly, can you really go right with box dye? But this was quarantine hair lol) I came in feeling nervous and apprehensive as I have had the same person doing my hair for almost 17 years now but her salon closed due to covid19. So anyways, instead of jumping right into bleaching my hair, Jacob first asked about my hair history and what I was looking for exactly. We browsed pictures for a bit, looked at color swatches and quickly came to the realization that bleaching my hair all over would be an expensive color correction. He listened to what I wanted and set realistic expectations for me. Finally, we decided that a balayage would be the best route especially if I wanted to gradually get back to blonde after dyeing my hair red.The whole process was easy. For the three hours I was there Jacob answered any questions I had, kept me excited about my hair, and made me feel comfortable and confident. He explained everything he was doing and why he was doing it which really eased a lot of my nerves.Ive gone to different salons with my friends and they often feel cramped, noisy, and impersonal. Fine Artistik Salon was different in the best way possible. Jacob is friendly and talkative. The salon is clean and cozy. And, due to covid19, theyre booking only one client at a time.All in all, I had an AMAZING experience, my hair color was gorgeous and I am eagerly awaiting my next appointment and whatever fun things Jacob has in store for my hair.
The first time I made an appointment at fine artistik salon was for a hair color correction and they did outstanding. This past Saturday was my second visit at the salon with Jacob for a root touch up and balayage highlights. Again, my stylist was Jacob an extremely talented artist who handled my hair with utmost care. He listened exactly to all of my hair demands and made sure he knew exactly what I wanted. He is very precise and took his time on my hair to make sure it was perfect. He was super attentive and made sure it was the correct tone. I cant express how obsessed I am with my hair and Jacob. My experience here has been wonderful both times and I look forward to keep coming back plus I will recommend fine artistik salon to everyone.
Came here for the first time and I absolutely LOVED this place ❤ My hairstylist, Jacob, literally did miracles on my hair ! I had gone to a previous salon before aiming for a beige blonde and they turned my hair orange. Jacob worked diligently to achieve the hair color I was aiming for 👱♀️ I was previously told that I couldnt do blonde because my hair is too dark but THEY MADE IT HAPPEN with no hair breakage. He used Olaplex hair treatment. I am absolutely so happy with the results. I also loved the fact that they are LOréal professional and Olaplex certified salon in NY. If you are looking for a specific look or color... COME HERE. It is worth every penny.
Jacob is absolute hair magician! Ive never been so happy about my results from a hair appointment until now. u2028Hes so talented, genuine, and completely listens and understands what you want. Although finding an appointment is a bit of a process, its definitely well worth it in the end. I highly recommend him to all! I am very happy with my balayage. He listens to what you want and is patient and willing to put in the time to ensure the final product looks great even if it takes longer than expected (make sure to bring in a few pictures). And most importantly he offers weekend appointments which I really appreciate. The balayage is very well blended with various tones to give it good texture.

This particular salon got my attention with their 5 star reviews and a big plus they are on social media, so you know the job is real. As I was looking at the photos, I was very impressed with Jacobs work. I gave him a call and Jacob worked with my schedule to setup an appointment.I was greeted warmly by Jacobs assistant -I arrived early. Jacob was ready at the scheduled time of our appointment. He was very comforting, he took the time to understand what I wanted, he looked at the photos that I gathered, and made me feel at ease by confirming that he understood what I wanted. I maintained a dark brown hair that became a signature look for me, but I wanted to soften my look by adding subtle highlights. I couldnt trust anyone as I feared that Id end up with orange streaky hair. Jacob delivered exactly what I wanted if not more: I still have that mesmerizing dark hair, with oh so natural highlights towards the ends that are perfectly blended in. I couldnt have been happier that I love my hair and that I found my stylist!Thank you Jacob!
Moved from California almost three years ago and Ive had a hard time finding the right hair salon. I believe I finally found it. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The stylist I worked with is very talented, Jacob, he was really nice and did an amazing job with my hair coloring and haircut. I called to check if they have same day appointment and they said yes, so I scheduled my appointment. When I arrived it seemed that there were 2 other customers that he was working on but he assured me that it doesnt distract him from focusing on each client and spending the amount of time that is needed on every client and he was right. 2 customers that left before me seemed very happy with their hair. By the time I was done I loved my balayage highlights hair coloring and my haircut. The highlights I was nervous a little and anxious but Jacob told me that everything will be alright and that he wouldnt let me leave the salon if my color wasnt good and if anything went wrong he would continue to work on my hair to achieve the color I wanted. He is a master of balayage! The haircut, I didnt really get much of a cut rather it was more of a refreshing the ends and adding tons of new layers. Definitely going back!!
This is the place! I had traumatizing hair experience at a different salon. First my hair was over highlighted and burnt. Then that salon did keratin on my hair and burned it more. On top of that they sold me hair extensions. Nightmare! I found Artistik salon and talented Jacob. He was able to slowly restore my hair, achieve the color and match 100% my hair with hair extensions. Nobody knows I have extensions in my hair. It looks feels 100% real natural. Jacob was honest and didnt lie. He knew what it would take to give me the hair I wanted. Master of his work!! Great experience. Clean salon. Modern studio. Covid19 safety. This salon and Jacob is my new place to go to!!
I dont really know what else amazing things one can say about Jacob that hasnt been said before. He was pleasant, accommodating, and such a PRO!! I loved my newly bayalaged hair! Its been a week, and it still soft and not at all fried and damaged. The color hasn’t washed out or faded. He listened to what I wanted my hair to look like and then looked at Pinterest and Instagram pictures with me. He recommended colors that will be great with my skin tone, and made sure that I knew how to take care of my hair- recommending some great shampoos since my hair has blonde/light brown highlights. Please never change or move. Youre a gem!!

Its never easy to find a good hairdresser. I was given a balayage and it looks SO natural and it’s the exact color I wanted. The technique they use is incredible and makes it look natural at the roots as well! Staff is very friendly, and prices are reasonable! I really enjoyed my experience there!
This was my first time getting any sort of balayage and I LOVE how it turned out - thanks to Jacob!Jacob was kind and communicative answering a few questions I had about the salon’s COVID-19 protocol before the appointment. Upon arriving, youre asked to sanitize your hands and have your temperature taken, and then youre ready for the chair. I showed him a few photos I had liked and he was able to bring inspiration from a few to life. He was realistic in what to expect from the balayage as I came in with dark brown hair. We chopped off a few inches, shaped my hair around my face so Im rocking a middle part, and Im sooo happy with the final results!

I absolutely love this salon. I scheduled an appointment with Jacob to have a color correction and hair cut done. Im so impressed with how he handled my bad hair case. After a lengthy talk, he suggested smoked silver because I asked for gray hair. I have to say that I have never loved my hair as much as I do now. Its so soft, vibrant and everything I was dreaming of. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to color their hair or have their color corrected. The long layer cut he gave me is so perfect too! He is professional and really knows what he is doing. I cant wait to go back for hair maintenance. His talent is worth the money spent.
Jacob was amazing!! I went to him right before the virus hit so this review is way overdue. If youre looking for someone who is great with blondes Jacob is the best! I moved to the area and was hesitant to try someone new. I emailed the salon and received a reply within minutes. Jacob was able to accommodate me and took the time to be really careful and precise, he also brushed my hair gently which is huge to me to have someone who takes the time and cares enough to be gentle with your hair! Didnt think I would ever get my hair back to the blonde I had years ago until I visited the salon, I will definitely be back! I now have my bright blonde and even though it was done in the beginning of March it still looks on point!
I went to Fine Artistik salon for color correction. I am usually very picky about hair coloring after reading the reviews online I took a chance booked an appointment and today I am extremely happy with my results! The reviews are accurate the stylist is very skilled and I can’t express how happy I am with my hair color. The salon itself is very clean and beautiful in addition the stylist is also cautious and keeps his mask on at all times, he is friendly and very professional in which helped me feel comfortable. My overall experience was wonderful and satisfying.
Jacob is a LIFE SAVER. I went in for a color correction and left as a client for life. He’s so much fun to work with and really listened to what my vision was and made it happen. My only regret is not finding him sooner! He’s professional, attentive, uber talented, a perfectionist, and obviously very gifted at what he does. I also appreciated that he was ON TIME. I was relocated to Manhattan for work in the mid of the pandemic and not being able to get my hair done or now knowing anyone or anything I decided to search a hair salon that knows how to balayage dark hair to the color I want, not orange, not yellow, not copper but a beautiful medium ash blonde and I saw the name of this salon. I looked at their website and liked the job they did. I emailed to schedule an appointment and within minutes received a response. Jacob who did my balayage was on time. I showed him several photos of the hair ideas I had in mind. He explained the process for each look and we chose 1 photo. My hair looked exactly like the photo. Yes, I was there for 4 hours but it went by quick and I got what I asked. He is a master colorist. He offered olaplex for my hair and it makes a difference. My hair is the color I wanted. My hair is shiny. My hair is healthy.
Looking for a hair salon for my daughter, I found Fine Artistik last summer and feel so lucky I did. Jacob and Coco are both very talented. All of her visits have been great and today’s was no exception. In fact her hair came out so beautiful I decided to get my hair cut too and I couldn’t be happier! The salon itself is very nice and comfortable too.
Best hair stylist ever!!!. Jacob is amazing. I cannot tell you how grateful I am that I found him. He saved my hair.The first time I went to see Jacob was when I had gone to another hair stylist which permed and colored my hair without giving me any advice or knowledge of what I was requesting for was not a good idea. After that horrific experience I was afraid to go to another hair stylist, but after reading all the good reviews Jacob has, it made me feel a bit comfortable and had to give it a shot......I decided to schedule an appointment with Jacob which I was scared to do so.My appointment day arrived and I was happy and at the same time nervous, but he made it really easy on me. He explained what was going to be done. He said he was going to cut as much as possible to get rid of the perm and he was going to color my hair blonde and he was going to put some highlights. I thought, after seeing other hair stylist in the past, they told me I wasnt going to be able to get anything done on my hair because it was extremely damaged. But Jacob proved to me that they were wrong. When he was done, my hair felt so soft and had a lot of volume and he cut my hair up to my chin, a wedge bob (my hair was almost up to my waist) I was so happy. From that day on I just go to him. I tell him what Im looking for and he explains what hes going to do to me, but I just tell him do what ever you have to do, I trust you with my eyes closed. I highly recommend Jacob, give him a try, you wont regret it!
I will begin by saying how picky I am about my hair! The color has to be exactly how I want it to be. The haircut has to be exactly how I want it to be. When I called and spoke to Jacob on the phone prior to making an appointment I told him that I am very picky and somewhat abnormal when it comes to my hair and if he was up for the challenge. He said yes! The reason I found this beautiful salon with such talented colorists is because I was going to my previous colorist for years and when she sold me on highlights she turned my hair orange!!!!! So I went online and googled best color correction salon nyc this salon kept popping up so I figured they must be good and was I right!! Not only did Jacob correct my hair color he also kept my hair healthy and transformed my hair into balayage ombre. The haircut was great too. Not cheap salon but worth every penny!! Thank you Jacob. Went with dark brown hair and came out with blonde baliage that look natural, no orange and no damage and I had him trim my hair. We all know that in NYC there are many salons and many stylists but its not about the salon, I now know its about the stylist. I have been to many places and my hair has been the entire rainbow and then some. Artistik hair salon is the first place I have been to that actually cares about the quality of your hair and keeping it healthy. Others, in my experience, have done whatever I asked for even if it damaged my hair. Not here! Here I got what I asked for and my hair remained healthy, shiny and beautiful. I got tons of compliments on my baliage and cut. I couldnt be happier. The color Jacob recommended is better than I imagined! There was another client that he was working on at the same time, when she left she was very happy. I knew I was in good hands.

I am so fortunate to have found Jacob at Artistik salon. Ive been going to the Dabe stylist for 5 years but needed a change for a variety of reasons. I was nervous to try some place new. Every time I received a recommendation from a family member or a friend, Id check either on Google or Yelp. Anyways, I found artistik salon through google. The reviews were great but it was their website that sold me AND MOST importantly when u called Jacob himself answered the phone and was super pleasant and funny. The final products were all wonderful. While it wasnt close to home it looked like a cool concept. I was nervous to try a place without knowing anyone personally that had been there. The second I met Jacob when he introduced himself, I knew I made the right decision. He knew exactly what to recommend for my hair. He was also extremely personable and fun to talk to. He gave me most natural looking balayage highlights---I was blown away---I love my hair! Love the color (cant even figure out how he was able to get it so perfect), love the cut. Just love love love! I cant recommend this salon enough. His staff are super nice and talkative. Its comfortable and clean. Cant wait to come back.

First time I went to Fine Artistik Salon because I needed to fix the highlights that were done by another hairdresser who left me with half yellow half beige highlights all over my hair. Jacob did an amazing job by bringing my hair back to normal and actually making it even prettier as he suggested to use a toner at the end creating more of a natural look. Ever since Im going to him and am super happy with my hair color! He knows how to make that perfect beige highlights (not yellow!) and I prefer the regular old fashion weave technique for my hair. Just make sure you tell him exactly what you want. And if you are doing highlights every 3 months like I do- dont miss on Olaplex treatment- totally worth the extra money as it saves your hair!Overall, Jacob is the 🔝😊

I am very picky about my hair, and have yet to find a place that I love since moving to NYC 3 years ago. I can honestly say this place lived up to its 5-Star reviews! The salon itself is hidden, but so cute inside! Cleaning with high ceilings. The service is outstanding - I booked a last minute appointment for a Friday afternoon for a balayage highlights correction. They said they were pretty busy, but Jacob accommodated me! He is so awesome. He explained the process and that it might take a bit longer because hell work between clients (I completely understand and told him no worries). He was so sweet and professional! I was looking for a change and felt really comfortable in the salon. He FIXED my hair!!!.. I had nightmare orange highlights with dry hair Jacob offered a full color with balayage highlights and olaplex. My hair felt sooo soft, I felt the difference. I love everything and will definitely be coming back!

Small, clean, nice contemporary salon. My stylist Jacob did an outstanding work on my highlights correction--I kept going to a local salon near my house and every time I would ask my stylist to make it brighter he would make it yellow and brassy looking plus every time I would walk out of the salon my hair would feel like straw! Not only was the color bad but it also impacted the texture. After visiting Fine Artistik Salon, my hair was the color that I requested and my hair felt soft. AND IT LOOKED SHINY! When I left the salon, while I was in Starbucks line waiting for my order, I got 2 compliments on my hair. Prices are great and online booking is a nice convenience, too. Highly recommend 5 stars!
Jacob at Fine Artistik Salon is a hair genius/expert and takes pride in his work. Highly recommended!I first came to the salon as a color correction client. My hair had been lightened too much from past processing and didnt match my completion. Jacob matched my roots perfectly and brought me back to a beautiful, natural looking color by using the new balayage technique (Im a strawberry blonde and thats a hard color to match in my experience with other colorists). Even though I had some damage, I wanted to keep the length in my hair. He trimmed off the damaged parts without taking the length and have me long layers which somehow made my hair to appear even longer, which I appreciated since it took years to grow. I left with shiny, healthy, gorgeous hair that looked like celebrity. Ive been a loyal client for over a year now because he always fits me in when I request which is often last minute, listens to my requests and even when I cant explain exactly what I want, I always leave with exactly what I was imagining. And while I get my hair done, I notice how other stylists work there and every client leaves looking simply gorgeous with confidence.
I am very picky when it comes to my hair. I tried a couple of other places but wasnt really satisfied. Jacob and his salon popped up, so I give this place a try after reading all the great reviews...I have to say that I am sooo happy that I did! I met Jacob and he did a fantastic job on giving me the color that Ive been dying to have for years!!!!!! He also did a fabulous job on cutting and styling my hair. He listened to what I wanted and made it happen. He also gave me some great tips to keep my hair healthy! I will only let Jacob color & cut my hair from now on...From ash bleach blonde, with green tint, with weird red lowlights, Jacob made my color perfect shade of dark blonde with honey highlights. I had my appointment with Jacob today at the salon. I called and they were able to accommodate me which is was great. Worked out perfect with my schedule. I have short hair and wasnt sure what I wanted. I previously had long hair which I used to color at home and after I cut it short some of the previous ombre remained but it was brassy red and I needed a change. I spoke with Jacob and told him what I was looking for and that I did not want brassy red orange tones in my hair. He did a balayage highlights with toner. I am in love with my hair!! I was sure how my boyfriend and friends would react but when they saw me they were blown away at how perfectly amazing my hair looked. No random lines, no red brassy colors. Just perfect!! Thank you!! The trip to the salon was well worth it.
I had the greatest time at Fine Artistik Salon. Ive been wanting to try balayage highlights forever and picked the best place to try it out. I was beyond pleased with the results. At my first visit I noticed how much he cares about preserving the integrity of your hair besides achieving the best results. He as able to lighten my hair and place highlights without causing any damage to my hair.Not only did he make my hair look awesome, he also did the best color correction. And on top of that he provided me with good advise on how to take good care of my hair, and what are the best products to buy.Hes one of the best colorist Ive ever went to. Every “master colorist” said just cut it off 🤨.Not only is Jacob a great colorist and hairstylist but also is warm and very welcoming. He is honest in his consultations so you aren’t surprised later. My hair was severely damaged from a previous salon. It was bad. I came here due to the wonderful reviews and photos on Instagram. I figured if they cant help me no one can. Wow. I got beautiful results! My hair feels 100% better. We went from blotchy orange roots with chunks of yellow/silver/white/gray highlights to ash brown roots and babylight balayage highlights. Jacob my colorist took his time and offered me several options how we can achieve my color. I could tell he loves what he does because he took his time. Didnt rush. Thank you Jacob for spending so much time on my hair to make sure I was happy. My bf loved it. My co-workers loved it. My friends loved it. He was honest and straightforward. From my first highlighting with Coco, to follow up haircuts and touch ups, I am never disappointed. My sister visited the salon about 6 months ago for her color and cut and she recommended me to Jacob. If you visit Artistik Salon New York, not only will you walk away with excellent results, you will also find yourself with a spring in your step as youll have just been treated with the utmost respect and care. It was my first time visiting, and I was greeted by a cheery crew and treated with such an attentiveness that I will surely be back for more! Jacob, my colorist, was kind and assuring every step of the way. He corrected my orange color to a cool ash brown balayage. Even though the salon was highly recommended for blonde highlights but he sure knows all colors! Not once did he catch my ears while combing through my hair (a common occurrence for someone with baby fine hair) - a small detail, but one that only further attests to the level of attention you are subject to whilst in the chair. In the past, Ive never really had a go-to stylist until I stumbled upon Jacob. I went in with really damaged long brown hair and came out with a really pretty olaplex blonde balayage layered hair style. My goodness I have never before felt so good about a haircut or a style or a hair color in my life. At first, I had really spaced out appointments with random salons that I would find on groupon but as I started to put my hair health as a priority, I found Fine Artistik Salon and am proud to say I became a more regular client. I honestly would follow Jacob anywhere after the love and care he put into my hair.Now in regards to the salon itself... I really love it. The available natural lighting I think not only helps the stylist but it allows you to get a true look at your hair. Its a small salon and it has a very modern feel and thats something that helps draw me in. I love the vibe between all the ladies here as well. Its always refreshing to see women empower each other and that definitely brushes off on the clients because I can see a lot of people, including myself leave feeling empowered and ready to take the day.

This is the first time I can say my experience was perfect. Literally the best blonde highlights salon in New York City! So shiny & soft & glam. Beautiful atmosphere, extremely helpful & talented hairstylist & coloring. They told me an approximate price over the phone, which was so helpful. Jacob was my hairstylist, which Im so glad for. If you want someone who knows how to work with blonde hair he is your guy. Ive never left the salon more pleased. I have also never received more compliments. I legit had someone say your hair looks like a Tresemme ad. And trust me, its not my genes. Ive spent my entire teenage years striving for hair like this. I went to Jacob for my balayage highlights! And boy is he awesome! I had gotten his number from a good friend of mine, so I had already trusted her- my friend would not recommend someone to me if they werent worthy, haha I hadnt gotten my hair done by a professional in a while so I was a little nervous. I showed Jacob a pictures of what I wanted, he immediately knew what to do and how to do it. He explained me the process, so detailed. The results were amazing! No brass. Absolutely ZERO damage to the hair. Baby blonde. The cut is awesome too. I have long hair and he gave me soft, flawless layers. It took a total of three and a half hours or so for everything to be done but the time went by so fast! Jacob is awesome, the salon is SUPER clean and the people working there are so sweet!
I had a wonderful experience at Artistik salon! I googled salons in the New York City area that specialize in balayage. I was impressed with the reviews and pictures they had uploaded. So I decided to book an appointment.I have never had color done at a hair salon, so I was really nervous, but my stylist Jacob was wonderful. He was incredibly detailed and even got me coffee. He took the time to do a consultation with me, I showed him some pictures of what I had in mind and then he started his magic. He took his time with me, and I even cut into his other clients, which I feel sorry about, but he wanted to make sure my hair would look amazing. When he was done styling my hair and showed me, I almost cried. I gave him a hug.Walking out the door I got my first compliment in the parking lot! I have already referred people I know to him, they saw the results and want something similar.

So had a couple not so great experiences with previous stylists that led to serious frustration and not feeling good about my hair or about myself in general. Than I was referred to Artistik salon. This salon is fantastic! Just fabulous! Its clean and modern. Upon arrival, you will be offered a beverage which range from water, cola, tea, coffee and wine. The team is current on the latest vids, styles and trends not to mention the products offered for use at home. They offer online scheduling that cover just about 7 days a week. Let me tell you, Jacob knows his stuff when it comes to color, highlights, lowlights and vibrant colors. It has been about several weeks now since my visit to the salon and I havent stopped receiving compliments on my hair and am continually asked who does my hair. Schedule with Jacob...you will not be disappointed. The salon is easy to get to from any area. Seriously best stylist Ive ever had...hands down.
I just got blonde highlights and I love it. Ive gotten good highlights in the past elsewhere but these highlights are definitely more vibrant! Jacob did my color and trim. Small salon feels very private. The other stylist was also busy and very sweet. Somehow we all were involved in a conversation and no attitude. Felt like a family. Jacob explained everything thoroughly and is also very honest and makes sure you understand how he does things and why, if you want to know. Example whether toner is required or not, what color is best on my natural base and so on. He also uses olaplex and showed me that it was going in the bowl unlike some salons who claim to use it but may not. I got a toner. My hair looks radiant, beautiful and healthy and I love it. Prices are very reasonable too! Very happy with my new sunny look. Ive been highlighting for years and these results are lovely! Not too ashy, not too warm, just right!
Jacob was amazing! I felt so comfortable like he was a long time friend! Everything was very professional and quick. My extensions came out better than I’d hoped and I’m so happy with how my hair looks! Will definitely be recommending!
There are hair stylists, and theres Jacob....he is a hair master! Incredibly talented and creative with an eye for detail...a true artist. Jacob has been doing my highlights and color for over 5 years. The color is so natural and he uses top of the line products. I wouldn’t trust anybody else. He always gets it right and goes above and beyond!!!
I have been going to Jacob for the last 5 years. I came across his salon when I did a search for the best balayage in NYC, and Fine Artistik came up. I took a chance and booked my appointment, hoping for the best. I am extremely picky when it comes to my hair and didn’t think I would have loved it as much as I did. I was so wrong, my hair was AMAZING! He gave me exactly what I wanted and ever since, I have been going back. He has balayaged my hair several times in various colors: honey/caramel, very light blonde, rose gold, and lavender. I love my hair every single time, and I appreciate that he is upfront about whether a new color I want to try is feasible given my hair type and color. I highly recommend his salon and won’t let any one else color my hair!
I think it is important to take the time to acknowledge excellent service when you receive it, which is why I am particularly excited to take this time to write my review of Fine Artistik Salon and my experience with Jacob.I have lived in New York City for the past 5 years and I couldnt find anyone that can live up to my hair expectations so I referred to Google to compare the best spots to get my hair cut and possibly balayaged. I ended up selecting Fine Artistik Salon, and was not disappointed. When I calledand spoke to someone on the phone, they were very helpful and friendly. On the day of my appointment, I arrived ten minutes earlier than I had anticipated. I was warmly greeted and offered all sorts of beverages including wine, coffee, tea, or water. I waited in the well lit salon and flipped through some magazines until the assistant came to retrieve me to set me up. Jacob walked up and introduced himself. He is very attentive, and really listened to what I want, also while making thoughtful and creative suggestions. I came out with exactly what I had in mind for balayage and a hair cut! The experience that was exactly what I was looking for. I will absolutely be coming back to see Jacob! The salon is small, boutique-like, loved being there. Made conversation with the staff, very very friendly people!
Jacob is ammmmazzzing with color correction and balayage highlights. My hair was looking like the woman from the grudge movie. Today was my second time going to Jacob and I love the look. It highlights my face and the haircut he did adds volume to my hair. Thanks Jacob I love it. I will be back in three months to see you. FYI, small but clean and super cute hair salon. The salon offers all sorts of refreshing beverages and drinks including WINE 🍷 but more importantly Jacob does an OUTSTANDING color. Ask for olaplex treatment. My hair was able to recover its normal texture.
Incredible service from the moment I walked in. The salon is beautiful, bright, clean, modern and the stylist is educated and trendy!Before I found this place I would ask for balayage but instead would get foils highlights that the stylist would refer to as balayage but a month later you would be able to see a distinguished demarcation contrast line between my natural color and the highlights, never was happy until I finally asked my friend and she referred me to Jacob. My balayage highlights is stunning and my cut is exactly what I asked for. He was excited to work with me and get creative with my style, which is exactly what I wanted. He is exceptionally talented in both color and cut. Also you could tell the products used in this salon are high quality.
Ive been all over nyc trying to find someone who can cut curly hair and give me the look I want. Even in the most well known (and expensive) salons all they know how to do is cut my hair in one layer and blow it out stick-straight. Jacob in Artistik salon gave me the cut Ive been looking for on the first attempt. And then theres the color. He is a genius. Not just my highlights which are fabulous, but Ive seen himdo the most beautiful blonde shades Ive ever seen.This may be a small salon but the cut and color youll get there are huge!
Loved it here! They order you lunch and serve you drinks (water, wine, tea, etc). Very bright and cool inside. The service from Jacob was A+ five stars. Will definitely be back to him! He listened to me very well and we had a lovely conversation. I had brassy highlights done and needed to get the color corrected. I showed him the pictures of my ideal blonde, he met and even exceeded my expectations! The hair color/blonde was OUTSTANDING! The staff was professional and friendly. Operated as a true team. Great place. Clean salon. Not pretentious.

I always come here to see Jacob & alway as get the celebrity treatment. I just went today with a photo in hopes that they would capture the exact colour & look....& it exceeded my expectations!! The team took their time with the proper colours & wash & dry. The treatment they used on my hair was so worth it! It left my hair as smooth as silk! Im beyond pleased with my look. I wanted to find a salon that did the best hair extensions in NYC so I searched Google and the internet came up with a few options. My friend back home had great lengths hair extensions so I wanted to find the highest rated salon for those in particular. I had a consultation with a couple of salons but they didnt sound sure but when I came to Fine Artistik Salon and met with Jacob he explained everything to me in details, the process, the maintenance and the after care. He definitely sounded knowledgeable and knew what he was talking about because I was debating between keratin fusion or tape ins. He explained every little detail. Jacob the hair extensions specialist was super knowledgeable with hair extensions in general and especially great lengths. Boy, am I happy I did! We colored my hair into balayage highlights to match the color I wanted and to match the extensions. My hair looks amazing and no one can tell I have them, they just think my hair got way longer since they last saw me (maybe my friends need to pay more attention lol). Most importantly, Jacob is also color and cut specialist and he blended my extensions into a beautiful shape and style. That really made the hair extensions look amazing and I kept receiving compliments all throughout new years eve celebration.
I went to jacob at fine artistik salon about couple of months ago for a major hair color correction & hair rescue and the result was way beyond my expectations. (I feel compelled to write this review because skilled colorists are really so hard to find! This guy really knows his stuff!! I was weary at first, because most of their reviews were for caucasian hair, and I have asian hair, but jacob knows how to work his magic on all hair types!)I had been coloring my hair all kinds of colors and patterns for a long time with many different hair stylists. My hair had been stripped of color, painted back on, stripped again in different places...etc. The result of all the abuse was dry, brittle, yellowy bleached out hair with random markings all over (random ugly lines from where my hair had grown out from where it was bleached, and random lighter pieces where my hair had been bleached over twice...etc.) Long story short, it was a hott mess as a result of multiple inconsistent processing from many different people.I decided to go to jacob for a hair make-over, even though I knew he was going to be expensive. I know some people complain about the price, but honestly, I really felt it was worth every penny. I did a bunch of research online, carefully looking for a stylist to fix my hair but at the same time not burn it all off, since my hair had been through so much. I was not ready to compromise style for the health of my hair. LOL.I wanted a sexy, fun haircut, with fun colors, but at the same time I wanted my hair to look healthy again. I told him I wanted an extreme ombre where my roots are dark brown and the tips are very light, so that when the color washes out, Ill still have a nice fun ombre underneath. Dont ask me what he did, I have no idea, for all I know it was pure witch craft. He managed to give my hair the most beautiful tone, and at the same time you couldnt tell my hairs been processed before (no lines, just even beautiful balayage ombre). I have asian hair, and many stylist have trouble removing the color from black to blond without my hair turning a very ugly yellow, which I absolutely hate. After jacob was done bleaching (or its call lifting in salon terms?) and toning my hair, it was the most beautiful ashy blond/brown color, that blended in perfectly from my dark roots. You couldnt tell my hair had been processed before. He then colored over it with a blend of toners, and gave me a fun haircut. Not only was it fun, and sexy, it was sophisticated! Beautiful work. I really cant say enough how amazing my hair looks. jacob rocks!!
I have found NYCs HAIR DOCTOR!!! That is what I nicknamed Jacob the owner of the salon and the genies behind it all. I had a terrible experience at my salon before coming here, and I should add that it was only 4 days before my wedding. My brown/ blonde balayage hair was toned to dark brown reddish/orange hair. Yikes! Needless to say I was in panic mode when I left and I started googling best salon for color correction and was lucky enough to have found Artistik Salon. I emailed immediately that evening and within minutes I got an apportionment for the very next day. When I got there I was very frazzled to say the least but Jacob put all my worries at ease. We even laughed about it together and said what color is this really? Its just weird.After taking his time to asses and discuss what we were going to do, he worked his magic for 5 hours straight. I should add he has a very good cool, calm and collected energy. Once done, I was happier then Ive ever been with my color and had the perfect brown, golden blonde balayage. I could breath again, knowing that my wedding pictures would look like me, only with better hair. Im so grateful to have found Artistik Salon! Jacob and his staff are super talented and made a stressful situation fun/funny. I especially like that its a small salon and you get very personalized attention. Worth every dollar and will continue to go back.
Today marked my one year anniversary with Fine Artistik Salon with Jacob & Coco! One year of laughs, candy, and beautiful hair results. How could I go anywhere else when not only does Jacob create an amazing auburn color that I am CONSTANTLY gettin compliments on, but I also get to sit and gossip and laugh the entire time I’m there. The reviews here do not lie. I had such a wonderful experience at this salon. I had the good fortune to get an appointment with Jacob and he is such a creative and a sweet stylist. I gave him my thoughts about what I wanted for my hair and without being pushy he suggested what he thought would work best for my face shape and complexion. Lets be honest, when youre getting hair color + full highlights + hair extensions from a stranger sitting in a chair for a couple of hours having your hair pulled and messed with can get awkward. This was not the case at all with Jacob. His work is outstanding! He knew how to color my hair and place hair extensions. He cut them in a way that they look so natural. He made me feel comfortable the entire time. Kept asking how I was doing and if I needed anything. Like I was getting a haircut from a friend. The salon itself is mid to small. It is cute, quaint, and cozy. I didnt feel like I was going to get run over and I didnt have to talk over other people to be heard, while there. The other employees there were also sweet and personable and all of them seemed to be very professional and good at their jobs. The one complaint I had was that it is rather expensive. Definitely not saying that it wasnt worth it because I in fact love my hair, but be sure youre prepared to spend the money on color and hair extensions before you go. Highly recommended!
My first visit to artistik salon was months ago when I was in a desperate need of a major hair color correction. And, they did an excellent job! I returned to the salon this past Saturday to get balayage highlights but because my hair always ALWAYS has a warm color after bleaching, I asked Jacob to make my highlights white COOL tone. Honestly tell you, because of my previous hair color correction appointment which was months ago, maybe it was even back in 2015, but Im not sure. Well anyhow I asked Jacob to give me white COOL platinum balayage highlights, and of course he did! I was super pleased with the results and my hair had no damage and most importantly it had NO brassy orange warm tones. I know I am in good hands. THANK YOU!!!! The salon and staff are soooo pleasant and nice.
I had a wonderful experience at fine artistik salon today!I googled salons in the Manhattan NYC area that specialize in balayage. I was impressed with the reviews and pictures they had uploaded. So I decided to book an appointment. When I called I spoke directly with Jacob and he was nice, funny and sarcastic which I liked.I have never had color done at a hair salon, so I was really nervous, but Jacob was truly wonderful. He took the time to do a consultation with me, I showed him some pictures of what I had in mind he also gave me his input, we agreed on the color, 2 minutes later he started his magic.He took his time with me, after he was done with the balayage, he kept checking on my color while it was processing. He wanted to make sure my hair would look amazing.When he was done styling my hair and showed me, I almost cried. I gave him a hug. Its EXACTLY what I wanted!Walking out the door I got my first compliment in the parking lot!
Fine Artistik salon is the best salon in Nyc. When I came to Jacob my hair was over processed and extremely damaged. He brought my hair back to life. I live in Israel and was visiting New York and just like everyone else I wanted to try a hair colorist in Manhattan. I came to him because my blonde highlights were looking faded and needed to be lighter he understood me right away. He gave me beautiful balayage highlights also my hair felt soft. I have a very unruly curly hair and I always wanted straight hair with natural blonde balayage highlights the straight hair was no problem because I would get the keratin treatment but nobody ever was able to give me the hair color I wanted. The last stylist I went to turned my hair green. WHAT WAS THAT ALL ABOUT?? I didnt want to go back to get it corrected (trust issues). So I went online and researched hair color salons in NYC that specialized in color correction and that specialized in balayage highlights and thats when I found artistik hair salon. I followed their work for almost 2 weeks on Instagram and Facebook. Looked at their before and after work and it seemed that they knew what they were doing. When I finally decided to schedule an appointment I send them an email and within minutes they reached back and the process to schedule an appointment was very very easy. I came last week Wednesday and my appointment was with Jacob. We talked and I explained him my hair coloring history. He was very straight forward and explained to me the process that he would do to give me the color I wanted. He corrected my base hair color that had the green highlights then he asked me if I wanted the olaplex treatment with my balayage highlights so my hair wont get damaged and maintained healthy. He is talented and I could see that he loves what he does because its done with a passion. My color and highlights looked just like the photos I showed him and the hair felt soft after the blowout. It was shiny. I NEVER left the salon with the color I wanted and my hair feeling so soft and looking shiny as I left Jacobs salon. No wonder the salon has high ratings! It is because they are excellent.

To be honest this would be my very 1st review on anythin because i really had to take my time out for this i loved the work that much. Jacob is the best i would say. I did balayage few months ago i wanted to change the color which was difficult in one sit. So jacob put some highlights on it and made overall lighter which looks more delicate now. So love with my hair. That was the last experience overall he never dissappoints me. I been doing experiments with my hair for couple of years and a lot i would say. N i dont trust anyone but jacob frankly speaking. So yea a big thumbs up for the team. And keep up the good work. 🤗
I never write reviews but I just have to write this after getting my hair colored by Jacob back in September. He was so knowledgeable, patient, and most of all he was the best stylist I ever had. I recently moved to Manhattan, NY from SF and as picky as I am, I did a thorough research of NYC hair salons and stylists and specifically searched for a salon that specialize in balayage and olaplex. I had a lot of things going on in my hair (roots, single process above previous foiled highlights, etc) and he told me from the beginning that it was going to be more of a color correction and the process wasnt going to be as simple. Typical me would have been nervous about this but the way he explained how he was going to do my balayage (as he recommended) allowed me to put 100% trust in him. And voila!!! After almost four hours of multiple coloring process the result was everything I wanted and more!!! My hair now is by far my favorite version of my hair. I have found my go to stylist in the city!!!! Cant wait to go back! Thank you Jacob!!!!
I requested an appointment overnight online and within minutes I got a response! It was so quick and easy to schedule an appointment, it was incredible. Let me begin by saying Jacob did not only get me in the same day for a cut and color correction but also was fun to talk too, friendly, funny and made me feel as it was the right choice to give the salon a chance.He did my color, and did an awesome job explaining step by step what we will do. We darkened my roots, he performed balayage hair coloring mixed with olaplex treatment and at the end we toned the hair. This salon is the best highlights salon in nyc. Because it was my first time going to the salon he even took time to ask about my hair history and everything I got done in the last couple months to be sure not to damage my hair. After coloring I got my haircut by the other stylist there which was very nice, talented and most important understood that I want to keep as much of my length as possible but I certainly needed a trim.Im very happy with my experience at the Salon, but again want to point out what a great service the salon and its staff provide. The assistant kept offering me beverages and made sure I was comfortable at the washing sinks. They are all so awesome that even paying is fun because you get to chat with them. And the prices are reasonable for New York City. I also love the fact that the salon is a LOréal salon.
Incredible!!!! Thanks to google I searched for best ombre salon nyc hair color in the New York City area and found Fine Artistik Salon. Not only is my color finally what I wanted but I am loving my haircut too, I am picky, picky, picky! and I never love my haircuts! Jacob gave me a cut to go with my new ombre. The whole look is gorgeous. I am beyond thrilled with my hair!!!!This salon is small but really busy and you feel like you are in NYC. If you are looking for the best in color...it is absolutely Jacob. He really listens to what you want and is a color genius. Ill definitely be back!
I was so upset with my hair color because a different salon messed up my color and I was in desperate need of a color correction that the second I left the previous salon I went online and found this amazing salon with talented artists. I called and they were able to accommodate me that same day. They were busy but my colorist Jacob did an amazing job fixing the color (Im sorry if I was nervous, not your fault) also recommend me some products that would keep my hair color and the condition of my hair healthy.
This is my first ever review and the only reason Im writing this one is because I was so compelled to share how amazing my experience was at the salon. Jacob the artist who did my haircut and balayage (first time ever to my virgin black hair). When he was doing my haircut, he first did it dry to ensure I could keep my long locks and only cut away the unhealthy part. That has never happened and its always ended up with me disliking my hair because it ended up too short. I really appreciated his experience in diverse hair.For the balayge, I am just in love. He was making sure I still had my own hair prominently but also struck an amazing balance of noticeable color. I just love it so much and the color looks beautiful for my skin tone! This is the first time Ive ever walked away from a haircut completely satisfied! And now also loving my new balayage hair color.

I have never wrote a passionate review for a business, but my heart and soul will be going into this one. This will be long, but worth reading. The subject matter is a delicate and once very damaged one, my hair. Before coming across this place, I underwent what was probably the worst hair experience of my life. I previously went to a high end salon and paid top dollar to have someone destroy my hair. Bleach under a dryer for 2 hours, enough said. I gave up coloring! My hair was left so fried and frail, I was scared to brush it. Going to the hair salon, something I was loved was now a new phobia. I had to do something about my hair though (I mean we live in NYC, come on). After hours of researching online, carefully examining reviews, I discovered Fine Artistik Salon. I loved the website and called to schedule a consultation. I met with Jacob, who I believe is a true color master, he really did save me. Being that the damaged happened a while back, I explained my situation to Jacob and he assured me that my hair wont get damaged and if anything it will only feel softer and healthier. He used olaplex treatment with his balayage bleaching and he added olaplex into the toner. I have never left a salon so impressed. After my previous disaster, I thought I would have to pull a Britney Spears and shave my head. Jacob truly cares about hair.. I will be working with him in the future. I never thought of myself as a shallow person, but there is something about a woman and her hair. When it was taken away from me, it hurt. Be very cautious about who you trust with your hair and find that right person. Side note, the place is decorated really cool, very relaxing and fun.
I am very displeased with my short encounter at Fine Artistik salon. After reading such wonderful reviews about Jacob I was very eager to meet him. I was also very impressed with all the awards the salon has, especially the hair extension awards. I currently have very expensive hair extensions installed so I only wanted someone who had years of expertise in extensions and color to do my color correction. My consultation was for 12pm; I arrived promptly. I introduced myself to Jacob, did not receive a warm welcome at all-more like looks as to what are YOU doing here. Jacob asked me to give him a few minutes as he was wrapping up some highlights. Around 12:10 he asks me if im in a rush as he needed to mix some more color for the highlights he was working on. As he heads back to the hair with the additional mix he tells me to sit in the chair next to the client he was working on and says, Im going to do your consultation while wrapping up her highlights. I then replied that I did not think that was a good idea 1. because I dont want him to be distracted from coloring someone elses color and 2. I would like his full attention during my consultation. I was insulted that he even suggested this option and it made me feel as if he did not care about my appointment. I had a dentist appt scheduled for 12:30, told him I would come back after but opted not to return as I felt very disrespected. 1. Whether or not I am in a rush is irrelevant. If I make an appt I expect to be seen at that time. 2. I would never ok my stylist to have a consultation while coloring my hair. Again very disappointed that this did not work out as I read such great things about him.
I had a pretty positive experience at Artistik hair salon with Jacob for my first time doing balayage highlights. He exhibited care for the health of my hair and made sure that I got what I was looking for.As an Asian its hard to find a good hair colorist nonetheless avoid being paranoid about getting your hair lightened/bleached without it getting brassy. I usually go to Asian hair stylists but decided to give a salon specializing in balayage a try.Requesting an appointment is pretty straightforward on the website. Someone will get back to you to confirm the appointment. I came in at opening and Jacob greeted me with water, a robe and helped me put away my jacket. Since I sent a reference photo of what I wanted in advance (that I actually took off of their Instagram), he already had a good idea of how to do it and told me it took at least 2 sessions. He walked through what he would be able to do in our first session and I was able to comfortably specify exactly what I wanted. He specifically made a point on what level of developer my hair would be able to tolerate based on my hair. The rest of the session felt like a breeze, he answered my questions on what the process was like, and was able to also give me a deep conditioning mask.The end result was beautifully done, and he made my hair wavy to show the colors better. I could tell that he had great execution skills, he even commented on how much he loved how the color came out. The prices are pretty reasonable given the market prices for balayage in the area with customer service/satisfaction in consideration. Love my hair.
I came back after away for a year and still was not disappointed. You get great quality for the price and you can trust Jacob to satisfy whatever hair needs you may have.
I have been going to the fine artistik salon since I moved to the Upper East Side about a year ago. I am very particular about my hair because I typically do out of the box colors: lavender, and newly rose gold. The base layer color is of extreme importance. I have been to salons in Brooklyn, Lower Manhattan and nobody compares to Jacob. It is so hard to find a great colorist in this city. I feel blessed to have found him!
Before coming here, I got a balayage done twice. I paid a lot of money and it never came out good or blended. It was basically just highlights with random brassy patches 1 to 2 inches off of my roots and it would damage my hair so after 7 months, I tried this salon after seeing their Instagram and researching olaplex treatment. They did what they could to minimize the damage done to my hair by the bleach. Jacob, the stylist who did my hair told me to do a different color than the one I initially asked for with olaplex because if I went as light as I wanted, my hair would start breaking. He explained to me what he would do and showed me a picture and the color swatch of the color and told me it would get lighter over time yet it won’t damage my hair. He said we would do shadow roots, balayage highlights, olaplex and toner. It came out so natural looking, soft, shiny and AMAZING. I love it so much. I highly recommend this place. They work hard and it does take a long time but its 100% worth it. I love my balayage highlights. I love my hair.
I can honestly say that Jacob did a great job. However, he quoted a price of $350.00 based on the info. I provided online. Once he finished my hair he informed me that the charges would be higher which resulted in a cost of $780.00 Canadian. I feel disrespected as he should have discussed this with me during the 4 hours I was in the salon. He also stated he only accepts cash tips which is questionable. I hope he will learn not to take advantage of tourists and to reevaluate his greediness. You wont stay in business forever when you behave so unprofessionally. You are a good stylist and so is the next guy.
I have never written a review before, but this was the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a salon.I came in to see Jacob 3 weeks before my wedding wanting to update my balayage highlights. I showed him the photo below as a reference for what I wanted (natural looking blonde highlights on my naturally darker hair). Jacob, however, started what ended up being a bleach blonde processing a few inches from my roots, and then coloring the entire length of my hair (this is NOT balayage!). After blow-drying my hair he asked what I thought. I started to say that it was VERY blonde and was told laughingly (what was, I believe, supposed to be good-naturedly), You want it darker? Dont even start with that! From the front, the results were very much lighter than I expected, but not alarming. However, he did not show me the back/my full head before moving on to the next client who had been waiting for him. When I got home, I realized that instead of the natural-looking highlights I had asked for, I instead received both the wrong color blonde (Barbie-esque instead of natural) and my entire head bleached instead of balayaged/highlighted as requested. Since he had left some of my natural darker hair at the very top, the end result looked like I bleached my whole head a month ago and it had grown out terribly.When I emailed Jacob to explain my disappointment and frustration, I was told that he had given me exactly what I asked for and that he never saw the photo that I showed for reference (this is an enraging revision of reality). While I appreciate that he offered another appointment for me to come in and have it corrected, my experience was so bad that I would not even consider going back. I did not trust that I would be listened to or that he had the skill to do the correction.I had thought that the outcome was terrible, but it wasnt until I went to a different salon for color correction that I realized just how awful the actual result was and how poorly executed. The stylist charged with correcting my bleached mess of hair pointed out sections of hair that were somehow subtly HORIZONTALLY striped bleached to slightly darker to bleached again. She was mystified about what he had done, and how he had even achieved such a mess.I am disheartened, upset, and angry about my experience at Fine Artistik Salon. Not only was the outcome of my supposed balayage treatment awful in look and technique, I also felt unheard, dismissed, pressured, and blamed into accepting something completely different from what I had specifically requested.For reference as to how bad Jacob ruined my hair, see photos below. Also, make sure to check out reviews on other sites since Googles are somehow mostly positive, whereas there is a more accurate 2.5 star rating on another site.
I have had two services here and Im very delighted! First was an amazing hair coloring blonde highlights transformation from Jacob. The second was balayage highlights also by Jacob. Both times INLOVE! :)This salon is super hip, chic, low key and fun. All of the staff is super knowledgeable about hair!! The best part is they all communicate and provide best practice and advice for their clients which is great!! Chantel is such a nice person. Fun to chat with :)They sell LOréal products because theyre not a salon that uses LOréal but they are a LOréal salon......... Need I say more :)If you go, make sure you say Nikki sent me ;)Enjoy your best color and haircut EVER!!!
Jacob is just wonderful. Talk about walking in feeling eh, and leaving feeling absolutely amazing. I moved from the city to Westchester and I travel in just for him. Everyone has had their “hair style nightmares” but he is a dream. Thank you, Jacob!!!!
I dont typically write reviews, primarily because Im too lazy and nothing ever really galvanizes me to do so. But this is different. This salon is amazing. I found it because my friend did a balayage on my hair but it ended up looking like grown out highlights-not what I wanted at all. So I went online to research some salons that specialize in balayage (specially in color correction) and Fine Artistik Salon popped up. I called because other reviews on here mentioned great balayages. They were extremely accommodating and were able to book me right away.I am so happy with my hair! Jacob did an amazing job. It looks light, but very blended and natural. I love it! I will definitely be returning.
Wella color specialist Jacob of Fine Artistik Salon in NYC is the best kept secret in the city. He provides expert color correction and cuts, beautiful color service and precision cuts. He also has 2 other stylists in the salon who are fantastic.A few months after arriving to town, I tried some salons but no one could give me what I was looking for. So again I turned to google to search for a colorist or a hair salon that specializes in color corrections. I came across Jacobs name at Fine Artistik Salon. I called and made an appointment with Jacob. He took me from red to a phenomenal brunette with natural balayage ombre highlights. I like extreme color and he delivers results. Ive recommend friends go to him for color and they are in love with his work as much as me.The salon is contemporary and comfortable.
I tried to dye my hair silver myself and my roots ended up black and a brassy orange with different tones, the rest of my hair was greyish green. Jacob gave me the hair I wanted while bleaching, coloring and toning with a blowout for 600 dollars. Also they serve beverages.
Ive been meaning to write a review about this place for awhile. I had my hair colored and cut here. The person who colored my hair did a great job. Its the owner who I find objectionable. Hes a money grubber. When I went to pay the owner charged me for a blow-out in addition to charging me for the color and cut. I did not come to get my hair blown out and styled. I came to get my hair colored and cut. The only way you can see the true result of the color is if they dry your hair and you would think that a blow dry after a cut is part of the deal. Ive been getting highlights for about a million years and this is how its always done. I objected to being charged for the blow-out, he would have none of it, I paid what he said I owed him, I will never go back and am now writing this review. There are SO many places to get your hair done and I suggest that you avoid this place like the plague.
I went to Fine Artistik Salon after seeing that it specialized in Ombre Highlights. My hair is really difficult because I had dyed my hair black with permanent hair dye at the last salon I went to and everyone told me that there was really nothing that could be done because color does not lift color. Stuck with black!I went to Fine Artistik and worked with Tomas. He listened to exactly what I wanted and gave me suggestions and then set to work. The whole time he was so pleasant and we laughed and talked the whole time. At the end, I could NOT have been happier with the end result!!!!! He gave me the most beautiful ombre highlights. Better than I even imagined! I left the store actually jumping for joy to be rid of my boring black mess.Definitely, definitely, definitely go here if you are looking for ombre highlights or color! It is the best!!! The hair cut Tomas gave me was great too! Layers to showcase the ombre.Its been about 3 weeks and Im still getting compliments everyday :)
I first tried Fine Artistik Salon under pressure from my girlfriend at the time, even though I thought What kind of pretentious cheeseball goes to a place called Fine Artistik Salon? To my surprise, they did such an outstanding job that Ive gone back consistently for over two years. I go in with specifications that would baffle or intimidate most stylists, but Jacob always understands exactly what I mean, and exceeds my expectations. Im always impressed by his attention to detail and commitment to perfection. I highly recommend this place.
Yasha is an incredible hair stylist and colorist. I have been coming to him for the past three years for haircuts and balayges. He has done an incredible job. He is great with my asian hair texture, not to mention a lovely person! I’ll keep coming back.

DO NOT GO HERE. The guy here was so rude that I ended up walking out. He kept telling me how weird and strange my hair was, and how much work it was going to be to make it look good. I had to ask him four times how much it would cost to do what he what he thought was best to make my hair look good. After completely ignoring me the first three times I asked and restating what a disaster my current hair was, he told me it would be about $500. Instead, I went to IGK, was treated with respect, and given the best cut and color of my life. Even if he were to do an amazing job, it wouldnt be worth how rude he was. I would never give that man my money. Also, I dont know what the deal with the reviews for this salon is, but if you look at Yelp, they have 2.5 stars, compared to the 4.8 on google.
This place is the worst worst worst! . You all should check Yelp reviews . I payed over 600 for highlights ( he seriously burned my hair and after charged me crazy amount) since was already dark when job was done didnt see how bad it was in day light and back had some white hair still! . My hair next day looked so damaged and I really couldnt brush it . Color was orange and had some white, yellow parts too! Not light brown as I asked . I called next day and they offered to put one more time this color for free. Now , few months later after such bad experience and lots of money spend on just burning my hair I had to cut it very very short to finally look normal again. I live just few minutes away from this salon and because of this amazing google reviews was trusting them with my hair. Posting it now so no one else has to experience such nightmare . I lost my long hair and as a model for me my look is everything !

Saved my hair! During quarantine it went under a lot of abuse, stress, and ill-planned dye experimentations, and Jacob was able to not only repair my mistakes but do the exact hair coloring and shading I’ve been looking for for years.

My grandma Moose always said Your hair is your crown and glory, and I got my crown back here. My hair has always been very long and straight but now that I have two kids all I do is wear it up being so busy. Cielo gave me beautiful feminine feathery layers keeping the length in the back so I can wear it down without it getting in the way and without having to spend too much time styling it. She spent a lot of time and gave attention to detail. Worth every penny.The staff is super cool and the salon is very clean and modern. Thanks for your advice and thanks for a beautiful haircut!
Jacob does a great job on hair, but he WILL NOT HESITATE TO RIP YOU OFF. After spending $500 on a Keratin treatment and cut (not including tips), he talked me into buying the special keratin shampoo and conditioner from him. He told me the size he sold was the only size the products come in (LIE) and that they would be hard to find (LIE). While I do expect a small markup when buying products at a salon, when I searched online I found he charged me DOUBLE the manufacturers suggested price. And I was able to get the exact same products for even less than that in multiple places online. When I tried to return the still sealed products they refused to take them back. I told him I felt ripped off and would not return to the salon and would not send other people there. Apparently it is more important to him to get away with gouging people, and hed rather have his $76 one time for the products (FIFTY DOLLARS more than I paid online). He clearly doesnt care about keeping a client. I have a disgusted taste in my mouth from this experience and just cant imagine going back to that salon again.
I was with my wife at fine artistik saloon! My wife did a balayage on their really long haie, the result was awsome! She never had a such beautiful hair color. I had also a hair cut with light highlights, it was the first time in my life that i did highlights, the result was incredible! We will of course came back! Thank you so much Jacob! See you
Its been extremely hard for me to find a hair salon here in NYC. There are so many, and the reviews are all varied. After bumping into Artistik, I decided to give it a try. I give this salon five stars because not only did my hair turn out amazing, and perfect for this hot and humid weather, but the staff could not have been nicer. Definitely not a stuffy place! I see how much they love their jobs, and it shows in their work. I am a happy girl!Thanks again Artistik!

I was only in town a few days and had a really bad cut and color situation going on and read the reviews online and thought I would give it a shot. Jacob was very accommodating, friendly,well knowledged,and a true artist! I left feeling a whole lot better about myself then when I walked in. I dont live here but would definitely go back if I am in town.
I had horrible color damage and needed to just cut the majority of my hair off and fix the color. Coco did an AMAZING job with the cut and color. I never post reviews - but I was devastated by the other place. So, while its a big change - I love it and thought Coco was fantastic.
This is undoubtedly the worst salon I have ever been to. I chose this salon because they had great reviews and I wanted an ombre. My stylist dyed my already blonde hair completely dark then proceeded to bleach my almost all my hair, destroying it. I went to this salon 6 months ago and 6 months later I still have irreparably damaged hair. My only solution to fixing it would be to chop it off completely. My stylist let me walk out of there with wet and destroyed hair. This salon is an absolute scam and I am writing to spare potential customers from losing hundreds of dollars, and their beautiful hair.
Always scary seeing a stylist for the first time but I freaking love my hair now. Color is so flattering on me and the cut is great. Highly recommended.
In my own words and personal experience with artistik salon and its employees:i was so nervous to call and schedule the appointment, i did tons of research before booking. when i came to the appointment two guys said hello. one of them introduced himself as albert and the other as jacob. albert told me that my appointment is with jacob, he asked me to have a sit and wait a few minutes and offered me a glass of wine. after about 14 minutes when jacob finished his client he came up to me said hello again smiled and asked me to follow him to his chair. i was so nervous. he sat me and also sat on the chair nearby, turned me and we had a face to face consultation. a nice conversation about my hair and what i want. he gave me a few nice options that i liked and we both agreed on that. after that he asked me to have a sit at the sink and get my hair washed. the woman who washed my hair doesnt speak much english but she was so sweet and gave me a relaxing scalp massage. after about 10 minutes i was back in jacobs chair and he began cutting. OMG! it was magic. albert was involved and they both kept me laughing lol. never did my hair look so good. i will be back!
I LOVE MY HAIR! I just had Jacob do a balayage with a silver/ash blue color and it’s absolutely perfect and still feels healthy. I absolutely love it.

BUYER BEWARE. A disaster. Not only is Jacob rude, and insulting -- he said I looked like a witch but he destroyed my hair and when I called him to complain -- he blamed it on me . I called 3X to get a refund so I could get this disaster fixed and he NEVER returned a call.In addition, he did the roots the complete opposite of what I asked for and I had to go to interviews with destroyed hair -- I have had bad haircuts, etc. before but this is the worse of my life and in my opinion, he should seek a new profession. What is not destroyed by his sloppy application of too dark color on my roots is breaking off from his assistant who does not understand English or hair!Take you hard earned money elsewhere -- this guy is a hack!!!!!

2022-01-11I moved to New York City a year and a half ago and had a horrible experience doing my highlights so I decided to go with darker hair to avoid hair salons. I then ran into Fine Artistik Salons profile on Instagram and decided to give it a shot because I really do prefer my look with highlights. My hair was a mess between the bad highlights and me trying to dye it at home because of covid-19. Jacob restored my hair in color and softness and did an amazing job all around with balayage highlights. He took his time to make sure that I was satisfied with the color on every step of the way and achieved the look that I love. I walked out of the salon with a smile on my face as I was soooo excited to have finally found my hair stylist in New York. Thank you Jacob!

2022-01-08Fantastic experience here and super happy with the way my hair turned out! Easy to schedule an appointment. I went for balayage highlights and it was perfect! Usually mmt hair gets brassy and feels like brittle after coloring but Jacob is highly experienced. My hair feels great. I recommend olaplex treatment for everyone. I saw the difference! Highly recommend and very kind. Ill definitely be back!

2022-08-21This is my 2nd time having Jacob do a color.First time, he made an astonishing color correction from a really bad blotchy blonde, to a prefect even blonde.This time around I just wanted a pixie cut and he suggested highlights would give the pixie more life and he wasnt lying.FYI: He was doing a pinkish/purplelish color on a young lady and it came out WOWWWW.Highly recommend, just bring samples of what you want and he will deliver.Thank you Jacob and Staff.

2022-09-13This was my first time ever getting a salon keratin treatment, and I’m so glad I came to Fine Artistik! Jacob was super friendly and answered all the questions I had and also took the time to explain the different types of treatment his salon offers. After months of frizzy wavy hair, I’m super excited to spend the next few months with the smoothest hair of my dreams!! I will definitely be coming back in the future for another treatment. 2021-10-29I found Fine Artistik Salon online actually about 3 years ago and have been seeing Jacob ever since to do my hair. I initially found him because my old colorist just didnt care anymore and my hair felt the same every time so I needed someone that would correct my color and adjust the cut. I love the color and highlights Jacob does. He is awesome at working with me to determine a plan for each appointment. I always walk out with hair that is fun and looks great. Also he is a great person and someone I enjoy spending time with while getting my hair done. Highly recommend Jacob and the salon. Before covid19 everyone that worked there was extremely accommodating and excelled at service from the moment you arrive.

2022-05-23Wow! Jacob is an absolute master. He listened to my hair concerns with great care, and together we worked toward a goal that I am absolutely happy with! I have very delicate previously colored hair so I was very nervous about breakage. He was super gentle and definitely had my best interest at heart when planning my hair treatments. He is also hilarious and so much fun to talk to during the process! 11/10!!!!

2022-04-12This is the best hair salon in NYC! Ive been coming to this salon for 7 plus years and only trust Jacob and his staff to work on my hair. I get baby blonde highlights and always turns out gorgeous! Never an issue with hair texture. Never an issue with brass. Never an issue scheduling an appointment. Even during the lockdown I waited for him. BRILLIANT!

2022-09-18After 9 months of searching and trying multiple salons in Manhattan and Queens, I can say with confidence- this is my new go to spot!! Absolutely amazing experience here!I went in to have my blonde touched up. They made sure to use care, quality products, and techniques to ensure my hair would remain in great condition to accomplish growing it out.The blonde placement was perfect, and the color glaze was exactly what I was hoping for.Plus it was super fast! In and out in an hour and a half!

2022-08-03Did a fantastic job with a single bleach and use of Pravana VIVIDS wild orchid dye! Im going to wait for 1-2 weeks for it to fade into a pink and then try to maintain that color with Paravana VIVIDS Pink! Thank you so much, Jacob :)
