Why kind of coffee shop doesn’t open until 8 AM?!? Extremely disappointing. Had a 50-60 dollar order that ended up going to Dunkin’ because this coffee shop wasn’t open at 7:45. What a crazy assumption that a coffee shop would be open in the morning.Edit: went there again on Feb 13, 2022. No more mask mandate but couldn’t even go in the door here as they still require masks. Awful establishment.
Great coffee and they have an incredible variety of caffe beans. Also they have vegan muffins and delicious cakes. I ordered spicy pumpkin latte and banana cake. The best
I went to this store last week to grab a few bags of whole bean coffee. I went into the store, grabbed my coffee, stood in line at the big pick up sign near the register, and waited patiently to be helped. Cut to five minutes later two more people coming to the store and getting fresh drinks and checked out before me. Not really sure if the store members arent great at paying attention, or if the signage in the store is awful. Either way Finger Lakes Coffee roasters lost a long term customer.

FLC combines my two favorite things about coffee shops, quirkiness and craft coffee. They might be a bit OTT with their mask message, but their product delivery is well worth the trip, if you like a little quirkiness in your life.

They had the best dirty chai Ive ever tasted. Dirty chai is coffee mixed with chai. It was sweet, yet definitely had coffee in it. So good. I went there because they were literally next door to the hair salons I had gone to the same day, so I popped in to grab a coffee on my way home. Best decisions are made on the fly.

Kacey was the nicest and most hospitable person Ive met in a coffee place in a while and really helped us out a lot. My girlfriend and I felt super welcomed and Kacey full on deserves a raise.
Horrible customer service. Will never give them another dime again.They implemented a 5 person limit in the store but you cant see well into the store to know how many people are in there. Today my group of 3 walks into the store which unbeknownst to us made 6 people in the store. Before we could even react, another customer starts verbally assaulting us about going over their limit of 5 people while the staff just stood there watching. We just turned around and left. We are not going to be treated that way by a stranger in a store and the fact that the staff allowed it is purely unacceptable. I will never consider going there again even after they lift their customer limit. You lost a loyal customer today.
One of the best and cleanest coffee shops in rochester. Always has a nice selection of local art! The baristas are extremely kind! Pastries change alot but they always taste wonderful!
Im not even a big fan of coffee and I drank their coffee black. Also bought 4lbs of beans to bring home. Would definitely recommend.

Coffee is $1.60!! Theyre the home of Jamaican Me Crazy which is my favorite and their coffee is the most affordable Ive found - by far - for high quality local coffee shops. It smells amazing in there, fresh coffee aroma everytime I walk in. They have great mugs and cute gifts and always great service. This is my new favorite business coffee shop.

The people who work here must be so stupid. I cannot tell you how many times I have called and asked if a certain coffee was brewed that particular day and they say yes. So I drive all the way in from out of town and they dont have the coffee that they said they did. When I question them about it they just say that I must not have asked if it was brewed. But I always make that very clear.. But I always make that very clear. They apologize that they dont know who answered the phone. Unbelievable!
Stopped in to pick up some beans of Jamaican me crazy. Really good stuff.Now the reason why they get three stars.The two cups of coffee we got to go were very watered down. Not what I would expect from a coffee shop.We will continue to buy the beans here but go to McDonalds and pay a buck for a better cup of coffee to go.
The location is great and so are the staff. However, the coffee is no better than what you get at McDonalds. Even their dark roast is too weak & bland compared to Starbucks. The space is a long & narrow rectangle. Therefore the seating arrangement is awkward & boring.The coffee definitely needs revamping. I would seek the help of coffee experts & perhaps an interior designer.
Even before you walk in you can smell the aroma of fresh ground coffee and beans. The staff is very friendly. Coffee is available pre-made, pre-ground, or whole bean. There are many flavors to choose from in both regular and decaf. Tables are available too if you want to sit down and relax with a cup of joe. I frequently see young people with laptops (students maybe?) enjoying study time.Beans are in containers with a scoop opening to smell each one. Outstanding coffee! I live out of state now but I always stop by to fill up on their encyclopedic offering of whole bean coffee both flavored and regular. From Strong Hospital to Monroe Plaza, Finger Lakes Coffee cannot be beat!

Best coffee selection anywhere. So many kinds to choose from. Only complaint is they change the name of some coffee beans around the holidays and I never know which ones. Like nutty buddy becomes nutcracker in Christmas.
I asked for a dark roast strong coffee and what I received was a luke warm watered down version and they didnt put the lid on all of the way spilling it on my chest. The only consultation is that it was like warm coffee instead of HOT so I didnt burn myself. Guess who will never become a repeat customer.

Great place to buy coffee (drink or beans) BUT 3 times Ive been there, to get a bag of coffee, 6-10 min before closing time and they were closed.Seriously, changing the closing time to 6:50 instead of 7 p.m.
Get this one - went to Finger Lakes Coffee Roasters in Pittsford Plaza on July 8 at approximately 9:40. The barista there was extremely rude - I understand that it was close to closing time, but she could have at least acknowledged that we were waiting to get service. Instead, she continued to clean the counters. After the counters were cleaned, she proceeded to pick up her phone, and send a text!My friend asked, are you closed? her reply, after rolling her eyes and giving a ton of attitude was, NOOOO!We were finally served at 9:50. Mind you we were the only 2 people in the store.This type of behaviour is inexcusable. I would never receive this type of service at one of FLCR competitors - Starbucks, Corner Bakery or Barnes & Noble. Whatever you do, do not go to the Finger Lakes Coffee Roasters location in Pittsford Plaza.But it gets even better - I posted this review on FLCRs Facebook page on July 9th. I did not get a response. I emailed it directly to the Pittsford location 1 week later and still no response! Clearly this company does not care about customer service at the store locations or at their headquarters. I WILL NEVER GO TO ANOTHER FLCR LOCATION! EVER!! I suggest that you dont either.
The coffee is great and the service is fast. They get crowded though. There was no sitting available. This was Saturday at 11, so not unexpected.
Really pleasant atmosphere with solid social distancing practices. Hrs of operation are reduced now, so make sure you check ahead of time.

2022-06-27Ill start my review by stating that if youre into flavored drip coffee, Im sure this shop will check all the marks. They have a whole wall of flavored beans similar to Wegmans.I grade coffee shops based on the quality of their latte and look for three things:1. Espresso extraction2. Proper milk streaming3. Freshness of the beansOptional - latte art (shows the skills of the barista and requires the above 3 things to be correct)A good latte should be smooth with a velvety mouth feel and a fresh coffee aroma.I was not impressed at all. Their latte tasted like drip coffee with milk. The espresso was bitter, lacking aroma and the milk wasnt steamed properly. Also they were out of whole milk, which is a key ingredient in a traditional latte.

2022-06-23Finger Lakes is a great local roaster. They have a lot of flavored decaf options and a great Jamaican coffee. A lot of their made drinks use powders and Ive had a variety of results on the same drink, sometimes overly sweet and sometimes not enough flavor, but usually decent nonetheless.

2022-05-28Love this company but not the cups. My suggestion is to only buy beans not buy coffee here, the cups are so cheap they will spill every time you take a drink. This has happened every time for years to us. We try to only buy beans and leave.

2022-07-17Terrible experience. Barista was very rude to me. Asked for a pour over and she immediately got attitude and told me it would be 15 minutes to make. They had two customers at the time one other barista (I just don’t think she felt like making it). Then when I was entering my email to get a receipt (which I needed to be reimbursed at work) she snickered and roll her eyes because it took me a second to enter.

2020-03-12Exceptionally kind staff. Clean, quaint, and warm environment. I dont love the flavor or finger lakes coffee, I know some do, its just a personal preference. It does taste fresh and of good quality. Very cute mugs available for purchase!

2020-12-14Yeah their Jamaican Me Crazy is what everyone is crazy about but the real story here is vanilla macadamia nut roast! It good to make with cold brew hot, Krueg (buy a resuable cup please and use finger lakes coffee instead of those horrid pods) French press expresso. They use Fair Trade beans and honestly is worth the price. Banana Forster is good as well as their blueberry Cobler, and of course Jamaican Me Crazy.

2021-11-04When I worked in this plaza area, I loved going to this spot almost every day. They have really good coffee, but for me the highlight was they had the best bear claws Ive ever had. I know they had baked goods delivered in from one of the local bakeries, and I did ask and was told (at least once, probably more times) which bakery... but for the life of me I cant remember the place. Hopefully they are still serving the same great pastries because these things were delicious. Paired with Finger Lakes coffee, I was powered up to take on the day with caffeine and sugar.

2020-07-21Their flavored coffee stands a cut above the rest. A bit pricier than your average DD or Starbucks, you get what youre paying for as all their flavors are solid. Everytime I go I get one of their frozen coffee beverages. I try a different one every time and Ive never had a bad one. Worth the trek from Rochester to Pittsford.
