We brought our son, daughter-in-law and two grandsons Friday evening for dinner. We had made reservations for 6:30 and were told that the band would be starting at 7:00. We were seated right away and the staff were amazing! They took care of us and two littles under 3 years old. There wasn’t an empty table to be seen! The kitchen was so busy they worried we would be upset so they brought complimentary fries for the kids. We will definitely be back again! So very happy with the service and the food. The band was Brass Inc and they were amazing even our 3 year old got up to dance! Wishing you continued success in the future!
Have heard so many great things about this place but did not think it was spectacular. My husband had the prime rib. It was bland and unimpressive.
Place was nice, decor is up to date, bathrooms are clean and current. Great staff
My husbands brother got married. Small event but very beautiful mostly family food was excellent servers very nice they were there for your needs. I would recommend to everyone
The place is beautiful inside, it is very clean and well kept, however, the service and food is lacking. Took 30min for food to come out. Food was not worth what they are charging. The chicken and hamburger was dry and tasteless. We had nothing to drink throughout our meal. Then a pitcher water was brought to the table?!? Took 45 min after eatting to get the check. We had to all stand up and act like we were leaving after asking 3 times for the check. Very annoying how much we spent. Will not be coming back and would strongly suggest you not wasting your time or money.
I hate to give a bad review when it just recently reopened... My husband and I celebrated Valentines Day early to get the Baldwinsville Dining weeks Deal. Fireside being so highly talked about in the past I thought this would be a good opportunity knowing how expensive it seems to be based on their advertised buffet price. The hostess was lovely but the wait staff seem really short handed with waitresses working the bar at the same time. Understandable, our waitress seemed a bit snippy while taking our order. The kitchen most have been short staffed as well because the wait for our food was painfully long, so hungry we tried to keep our attention on the live music but it was difficult. The appetizers were good, the entré...the meat was good but the veggies were very disappointing. I felt like I could get the same steak with better sides at Applebees probably for less money. The drinks were weak as well.
Had my wedding reception there the first weekend of October and I cannot say anything bad about this place!! Joanna and the rest of the Fireside Inn staff are nothing short of amazing! Always friendly and Joanna is SO helpful, which made the wedding planning so much easier. Anything I needed or if I had a question, she was always right there to help. Even on the night of the reception her and her staff never stopped working to make our night amazing. If I ever need to throw a party somewhere or need a venue place again, this place will the the very first spot I call. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
I had to give this one star otherwise I cant post this review. In reality I would give the place a MINUS FIVE STARS. Went on a Friday nite to celebrate an Aunts 85th birthday. Reservations at 6; we were hit up for a 5 dollar cover charge at the door. Something smelled bad immediately.Were here to eat, not watch a band! The band started promptly at 7; but it took them a half hour to serve drinks and an hour and fifteen minutes later were served dinner after we and another table threatened to leave. The food sucked, but gee the band was good! Who cares? Very stupid idea to have a loud band blasting when youre trying to converse over a meal. Needless to say there was no conversation after the band started.Good job Fireside Inn of ruining an 85 year old ladys birthday dinner. HORRIBLE DINING EXPERIENCE; WOULDNT EAT THERE AGAIN IF I WAS STARVING TO DEATH.

Food was good also they had a band that was playing so that was a plus short staffed so it took a while before the food came but very friendly staff
Restaurant was awful. It took them 2 hours to get dinner. They ran out of potatoes. They gave us 7 french fries instead. Spoke to manager and she said they had several reservations the same time and food coming out soon. After 2 hours food came out it was cold and disgusting .After all that manager took a whole $7 off the bill They never advertise there was a $5 cover charge since there was a band! I had no cash, no atm there thank goodness for our friends having cash! I wouldnt reccomend this place to anyone🤨.
Great looking clean restaurant... However when we were seated I kept getting a odor of raw fish. This persisted throughput the whole meal. The food was on par with the smell. I ordered prime rib. I have never had a more bland tasteless cut of meat in my life. Even though I ordered my steak rare it still was like chewing on my shoe. My only guess is. That it was frozen and reheated on more than one occasion. My wife ordered the chicken marsala. Again bland and tasteless, only drowning in an oily gravy. A disappointing meal through and through.
Absolute worst meal Ive had in a long long time. Calamari way overfried with hardly any meat in it. Vegetable medley was complete mush. Broiled haddock was bland and no longer hot as was the fried haddock. Mash potatoes cold. Waitress brought out the bread and butter after the main course. The small salad bar was the only thing edible. The service and quality of food totally mismatch the very nice facility. Will never go back.
Held my daughter’s wedding reception here. The staff was wonderful to work with. Very accomodating. The food was excellent. Also went there last year for Mother’s Day brunch. Once again, did not disappoint
Ruined Easter dinner. Ok food with horrendous service. We asked for water like 4 times and then finally went to the bar to get service. The barmaid must be a relation of the owner and shouldnt be in the hospitality business. Attitudes from all staff except the poor guy (possibly owner)that came out and apologized. They did take 4 dinners of but we still overpaid with the $50 spent.
HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!! Took the lady 20 min to even come to the table to get drink orders and since it took so long we ordered apps and entrees at the same time. 45 min in we asked where our apps were and our waitress walked by and said they’re coming.. We didn’t get our apps until an hour and 20 min of waiting!! And what we ordered was gross! Then our food came shortly after that, but then the couple that came in about an hour and 15 min after we did, got their food when we got ours which we waited almost 2 hours for!!! The only good thing was the manager gave us the meal for free. I understand restaurants get busy but it’s common curtesy for our waitress to come by and let us know the kitchen is back up and even ask if we wanted more to drink, she legit stayed away from our table and hid the whole entire time we were waiting!!
I recently had my wedding reception at the Fireside Inn. I am prudish and fussy about food and service, plus I have a bride who has high expectations. We had 175 guests and several unique traditional requests that the Fireside Inn had never before encountered. Therefore, I am not ashamed to say that I had my reservations about how everything would turn out. In short, they exceeded my expectations on every level and at every turn. Fran [owner] assured me that I would be pleased and he was not exaggerating.I will go into detail for any reader who would like to understand the lengths that the Fireside staff will go to to make your event special.First, there is the manager Joanna, she was the point person for EVERYTHING! I swear she works 24/7. From linens to layout, food, service, bar, billing, special requests...yeah...everything. It goes through her. It is so nice dealing with only one person who knows what is going on and truly cares as much as you do. I chuckle as I recall her frequently confused expression and furrowed brow as she would often respond, “Umm...I think we can do that. Let me check and get back to you.” And she promptly would reply with an answer. A 20ft Pittsburgh cookie bar? Yep, they did that. A Rochester Garbage Plate bar rolled out at 9:00PM? They did that too! A giant birthday cake, two wedding cakes, full open bar, full buffet, a photo booth, a memory table, a sweetheart table, 175 guests, and keep the dance floor open...mission accomplished!Second, the food. I wanted GOOD food, not golf banquet fare. The food was excellent. The Chicken French was moist, fresh and tender. The Roast Beef Au jus was not over-cooked yet tender and full of flavor. The vegetables were perfectly cooked (minor complaint: the rosemary was a little heavy on the roasted potatoes). Everything was fresh and well presented. Great job! (Special Note: My Rochester friends said the garbage plates were spot on! Some went as far as saying they rivaled Nick’s 😯)Last, but definitely not least, the staff and service. Unless you have worked in food service, you can’t appreciate how hard it is to be everywhere you are needed, exactly when you are needed, while never being in the way and doing it virtually unnoticed. This staff was exceptional. The wait staff, the bar staff, the cook staff, all were examples of true professionals. Example: One guest mentioned that garbage plates are eaten from to-go containers with plastic cutlery (although I disagree, paper plates work just as well). A staff member overheard, and immediately brought out to-go containers and plastic ware. The staff was tested that day and they excelled. I tried to thank you all individually, but if I missed, “Thank You so much!”
Good food, wonderful stage and dance floor! I wish this place would book better bands like Mere Mortals, Billionaires, Or Prime Time! Come on Fireside! You could be hitting home runs with the right bands that have followings...
Went to see the band perform last night, very big venueI was impressed with the size of the place the only bad thing was when I walked in the place it smelled terribly of fish. Probably the Friday night fish fry but they should do something about ventilation with a bar and a room that big!
It was a great experience. The food was hot and very good. Not lots of choices but for the money and what you get is good food. You have a few different options for the buffet. You can do one trip or many. You can even add on desert for a little more. I would recommend and will go here again.
Went for dinner, there was a cover for a band that wasnt starting for another 2 hours, long after we left. Salad bar was small and sparse, one entree very salty, other lacking in flavor.
The food and service was great. The newly renovated Fireside Inn was clean an contemporary on the inside.....nice atmosphere.Our waitress was attentive and nice. Would go back again.
Awesome time! Great food, Great staff and the inside looks amazing.Just dont ask for a dirty martini when its open bar, dirty looks will follow.😉

We were greeted very rudely by the hostess. We came close to walking out then. Unfortunately, we stayed for a terrible dinner. At least our waitress was friendly. We wont be back!

WOW!!!! terrible service .. we got there and were seated being we had reservations.. took waitress 20 mins to bring us drinks being it took that long we ordered our apps and meal right then ... had to find someone to get plates for the salad bar ... after sitting for an hour went around asking where our apps were, our waitress said oh they are coming right out . 20 mins later nothing .. I went and found the manager and told her we been waiting an hour and half now and no apps or meal and our waitress completely disappeared ... seemed like every time she went in the kitchen she fell in a black hole for 30 mins ... when we finally got our apps they were gross .. all frozen and greasy .. suppose to be Spanakopita on the sample plate there was none , we got hard jalapeno bites .. a couple at table next to us came in about an hour and 15 mins after us ... and they got their food same time we did ... we were told the kitchen was backed up lol funny people who came in after us got their food same time as us and there were other tables that came in after us and got their food before us ...... the meal prime rib was real good .. the beans and squash was awful out of a can ... the chicken riggies were gross the noodles were mush and the sauce was tasteless except for the hot spice they used in it ....the band that was playing was awesome ..

2022-02-15What a great place to eat and watch a musical group .We happened to see Dues and the del tunes ..Such great music .We have also seen Leetiza and Z band she is amazing .The food was good .We didnt like the cake way to sweet but that just me .The services was good ,everyone friendly

2019-12-17This place was decorated beautifully and the staff was very sweet to us. It was open for a special event with the Salvation army. (Donate gently used clothing instead of paying at the door)There were 5 different bands there on this night and Santa was there for the kids.We had so much fun

2020-09-21Went for a wedding and let me tell you, its beautiful! The food was incredible. The bar is gorgeous, leather granite and is lit up with the wedding theme color. The chairs wrapped white with and accent ribbon wedding theme color as well. The whole place was perfect. This place will be top on my own list to consider come my own wedding.

2020-03-05UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT NOW! I went to Easter brunch 2019 and only due to being a large party did we have to wait a bit but food was FANTASTIC. It does a hell of a catering and private party events so only open for public dinners a few days and menu sounds right on for my family. We live locally and wanted a place close by for together time to celebrate our anniversary so rented a room at the hotel..AWESOME. Very clean, had what you would expect from a room; fireplace, jacuzzi, microwave & refrigerator. Newly remodeled, looks like right off the television shows! Totally pleased and will return. Price is reasonable and although Joanna is running it all, just leave a message on machine if you miss her and she WILL return your call. Nice lady & efficient.

2020-01-25Never again. Went for dining week. Can’t speak for times outside dining week. But horrible from the second we walked in to the second we left. Made reservations and got there and told us our table was taken. When I asked then what, I got a shoulder raise of I don’t know. I had to suggest an empty table way in the back to the hostess. No server until we had to speak up. Hour and a half for a sandwich and haddock dinner. Cold food brought to our table. And that’s After we got to pick through a sad salad bar cleaned out and empty. And cold soup and no spoons on salad bar. Had to retrieve our own silverware for dinner. All our food was cold. And took an hour and a half. The dessert we ordered at the time we sat down got lost and was gone. Mind you just two of us ate. The table next to us of a older crowd was there 2 1/2 hours waiting for their food and one guy sleeping at the table. I could keep going. But the fact a waitress who wasn’t ours helped us out. If it wasn’t for “Ida” this review would be much worse and not so polite and I would have walked out. But I don’t recommend dining here. For a place that is open two days a week should be better me prepared. And then other employees didn’t speak highly of the owners when I asked where they where. “They don’t show face because they don’t care “. Bottom line. Never again. I hope this review helps if your considering going. Or helps the owners in fixing things here in their operations if they even care. Be prepared for just about anything or less then.
