I agree with negative feedback, if u plan to purchase coop from them, gota be very be careful, almost all the major bank wont do mortgage with them, we done with chase and they all not accept this coop, first is ok once processing to get more document from them then u will receive a leeter from the bank, all coop has less insurance and not cover this not cover that, thats why their monthly maintenance fee so low, and over 80% is rental now. We process all th document after seeing the board, they just reject with no reason, agend told us they choose color of people. Also they only ask u to mortgage from freedom mortgage company, cause only such mortgage will accept their application. Must ask ur lawyer to get all financial document and violation, especially check if allow u to mortgage from major bank. Board are so rude and 3 old men are no manner at all . Very careful with them.
Whole company is disgusting and unprofessional. Just a money scheme, they have zero respect for shareholders. Oh pleas and dont call the main office . The devil aka the worst person is Margaret! She is horrible and rude.
Terrible, terrible, terrible. Absolute terrible people, they don’t care about the people, or the tenants. The absolute worst management company ever. If I could give negative 5 stars I would. They also condone wife beating as well.
Ive never dealt with such an unprofessional management company in my life. They do not respond to maintenance requests and I have now lived in the apartment for 9 days without smoke detectors though Ive requested them numerous times.
This company was great the rental process had no problems at all. It was smooth by the book and no surprises even got us a week free Thank You.
This is a great management company always to hear any concerns or issues that tenants will have an especially Margaret is a pleasure to talk to her all the time

2022-07-18I own and living in the condo building that is managing by the First Management, when our laundry room got shut down by the NY city June 2021, they did not update the 129 residents of their progress. I spoke to my super and the building board member (very nice people) they cannot get answer or help from the management. I also called the management so many times and there is never people there to answer the call. Messages were never replied. BUT there is always someone contacting me when there is time to collect fee or money. The worse management a company can be.Our laundry room still shut after 14 months of 129 residents waiting and I hope the CEO of the First Management company, Jimmy Demetriou can do something about it soon. He is over 70 years old and I hope he can have a good record of his company.

2022-05-03The worst management company everThe company refused to return the security deposit on time. They delayed it intentionally and gave a bounced check. The owner was rude and terrible. He intimidated me You have to deposit after a few weeks because the check will be bounced otherwise see the court.Do not rent apartments through First Management Corp.

2021-12-15We have a leak in our apartment. to be very specific, a heating pipe burst and water has been spewing, especially during the night time. I understand the management company just heard about the issue, but when we called to figure out other ways to go about fixing the pipe as soon as we could, the woman on the phone was so nasty and gave us a attitude because we were asking her questions about other ways to get this fixed. her response was “you have to wait there’s nothing else we can do we just found out about it today. what do you want us to do!” This would have been an acceptable answer, if she didn’t have so much attitude and sarcasm in her voice. She was extremely nasty and unprofessional. there was no reason to give us an attitude, we were nice to her the whole time! we understood that she is not responsible for what happens, but she was treating us like we were. I wish I got her name but it’s a Spanish woman who usually works in the mornings - very, very nasty.

2021-02-02Unresponsive, unprofessional, and rude. Absolutely the worst “Management” company I have ever had to deal with. If by some miracle you do get someone on the phone, they are rude and don’t follow through. They truly do not even deserve one star.

2019-01-17Is there something lower than one start? Ive dealt with this company for close to 10 year. Yes, unfortunately, I fell for one of their buildings apartments cheap prices and I bought a property. Huge mistake. Dont be me! Run as fast as you can, you would end up taking care of absolutely everything thats related to your property; they are useless. Their strategy is simple, they wear you off with their rudeness and lack of response to the point that you decide not to bother with them anymore. They seriously think they are doing you a favor by providing you the service you pay for with your maintenance fee.Pray you dont need to talk to Margaret, I havent met more unpleasant and rude person in the world and Im a native NYer. The good reviews here about her are most probably from her family and friends (still very shocking). Other avoid at all cost person is Kavish, hes extremely unprofessional and condescending.Dont even try to talk to the manager to complain about the staff... The staff is in control of the place and he seems to be scared of them, he makes excuses for them even when they are being rude to you on his face, evidently he doesnt care one bit about the clients either.

2021-08-14Had a major leak that literally brought down half of the bedroom ceiling down and now for the last 3 days there’s a giant 5 foot hole in the ceiling. The super of the building still haven’t show up to repair it, and is no where to be found, doesn’t answer his phone. I have photos and will be sending them to the city. - 3450 Apt. D1.

2020-10-07Terrible service. Our elevator is always breaking down and now our dryers have been out of service for 2 months. But they put up a sign that says they are diligently working on it.

2019-07-01Like other reviewers said. Avoid at all cost. They will find anything to capture your security deposit, including false accusations. Ive dealt with many management company in NYC and this is by far the most shady and corrupted people I have ever seen. Who wants to go to court for 600$? The amount of rules they have is insane and they will use it to get your money. There is no common sense here, this is an organized scam. again avoid at all cost
