Fitness Incentive is my favorite gym. They have a ton of different classes all day long and their instructors are always keeping up with fitness trends. I love how some classes are outside too. They also have a protein shake / coffee bar for after workout refreshments. I personally love the Pilates reformer classes from an amazing Pilates instructor and last, but certainly not least, free day care!
The staff including management are terribly rude and snobby. I went to inquire how to participate with the challenge being advertised around the gym. I stood at the front desk for a few minutes before I interrupted the conversation the workers behind the desk were having. I said excuse me, can you provide me with information how to join the challenge... The response I received was unexpected. With an eye roll I was told the nutritionist running the program was not available. Then they went right back to their conversation. I expected maybe a flyer with some details. Take my information or something. It felt awkward and uncomfortable so I left. The next day I asked to speak to the manager to see if I could obtain the information about their program and I mentioned the treatment I experienced the night before. Her response was I heard how you (as in ME) interrupted and her night manager. I was dumbfounded! I apologized for interrupting and tried to explain about my inquiry. It didnt matter, she wouldnt even listen to me going on to say that I cant treat people like that?!? I dont know where they get their people skills from! In addition to their poor attitude $55 a month I expected a clean locker room! The parking is terrible. I will Not be going back nor will I ever refer anyone to this place!
I have been going to FI for over 18 years, and it is by far the best gym in the area, especially if you like classes! The classes include cycling, yoga, pilates, bootcamp, body sculpting and so much more. The staff, from the desk to the instructors, are friendly and go above and beyond to make you comfortable. The gym is very clean, and they are always updating their equipment. I highly recommend giving it a try if youre looking for a new gym!
Fitness Incentive is the most amazing gym on the Island. I joined over a two years ago and began training with Missy Dieli and she has honestly changed my life along with FI. She not only pushes me but encourages me. She encouraged me to join the Fit 4 Summer challenge at FI which was the best decision I could have ever made. I train with both Missy and Carol Trivigno and they are the DREAM TEAM. I have made friends through this contest and have reached numerous milestones. Since starting my training with Missy about a year ago I have lost almost 30 pounds!!!! If you are serious about getting healthy this is the gym for you,the classes offered are beyond any expectations. It is family oriented and has the most friendly staff. So a big thank you to Fitness Incentive for changing my life.
Positive, Uplifting, Righteous, Non judgmental, Inspiring. I am Blessed to say the adjectives above describe my place and position of employment here at Fitness Incentive. I appreciate the members who show up with desire I appreciate the members who show up with uncertainty. I appreciate my co workers who show up with the most innovative news in fitness I appreciate the practice that we are a team at Fitness Incentive and no question goes left unexplored or unanswered. This is not a place to envy this is not a place of ego this is a place of entry and acceptance. This is a place where you will be heard and you are offered the tools of your own transformation. I appreciate Cor and Kenny Brown. We as employees and members are who they value in all of their decisions, not for financial gains but rather for what helps us all create happier and healthier versions of ourselves. If you have been here you KNOW and if you havent been Im inviting you to a place I promise you will latch on to something or many things that you wont ever want to let go of. Trust in you, Believe you can, and move forward and Up!!!

2021-11-08This pandemic has turned the world upside down. That being said, Corinne and her wonderful Fitness Incentive staff has gone above and beyond to bring a degree of normalcy back into all our lives. First by volunteering their time to bring us fantastic free live stream classes and then, when the gym re opened, virtually rebuilding Fitness Incentive into an environment that met and surpassed guidelines to keep us all safe. Now its time for all to repay their hard work and return to the gym thats become a home away from home and extended family for everyone. Ive been a member for over 30 years and I can say there is no better gym on the planet..The classes are original and diverse and just being with people is therapeutic. Remember, we can and will get through this crisis, if we work TOGETHER!!

2020-11-27I was a member for a few years and became very disenchanted. I am disabled and I was ridiculed and embarrassed for it. When I asked for a short bike for a spin class at the front desk, I was told no and laughed at. Kristen at the front desk told me, “you reserve a spot but that doesn’t’ the guarantee you a bike.” She then started to tell stories about me as I have been informed. It was very unprofessional and run like a High School at the front desk. Their trainers are top notch! There are a couple of them left. That is a bonus. Dina in the yoga/pilates studio is amazing and always worked with me and my disability. It’s a shame that their “girls” at the front made it so uncomfortable to have a disability. The best was Kristen tried to say I wasn’t following protocols? Again, she likes to tell her own version. I am too old to deal with that nonsense and unprofessional behavior.

2016-09-08I absolutely love the classes here. Every instructor I have had has been wonderful and there are plenty of classes throughout the week. Also, the equipment is clean and does not appear to be worn through as I have experienced at some other gyms which was a big deciding factor for me. I would definitely recommend this gym to anyone who enjoys taking classes. If you take the classes, the price is definitely worth it.Reading the other reviews I would like to comment that I have not had a bad experience with customer service and everyone has been very friendly. Although I will say that I was confused and disappointed when I was getting information about the gym that I was not given a tour. I think that for prospective customers that a tour is very important especially since after a few visits to the gym I could not figure out where the yoga studio was. I eventually did ask the front desk and they walked me down and show me where the studio was which was very nice.

2018-03-01I was a member a few years ago and recently returned back in the last 6 months. I am very happy with their customer service, especially after I had to leave a class from being short of breath. They checked in on me while I regrouped and the following day asked how I was.I love the Yoga studio and with Dinas care it is just amazing on how I feel after my yoga classes. I have been going to gyms most of life and this one feels like home and I am so glad I returned.

2019-07-20I have been a member at this gym since 2005! I’ve always thought I was luck to be part of the best gym on Long Island. I not only love the atmosphere and the equipment and the classes, but every single employee is very friendly knowledgeable and kind! I’ve spent a lot of time there over the last 6 months as I’m a runner and had a major injury. I needed the gym to help build my strength back and used the zero runner to try to stay in shape.I also started going to see Rachel Ezelius the dietician whom I’ve seen for years but I started her anti inflammatory diet which helped me so much more than I could have even imagined. She helped me finally focus on fueling myself with Whole Foods that nourished my body ! I finally gave up artificial sweeteners and Diet Coke! The change in my life just by changing the way I eat is immeasurable. My nails grow so fast I have to get them done every 3 weeks instead of every 5 and my hair grows really fast too!! I am so grateful for all that she has helped me with and am going to miss her immensely!I am so grateful for all of the staff there and every experience I’ve had there in the last 6 months! You guys have really helped bring me back to life !! Love you all!

2015-04-28I joined for their #1 rating, but when class schedules and day care no longer met my schedule I was left with just the gym, which wasnt worth the cost or the aggravation. (BTW #1 comes with A LOT OF HEAVY CAMPAIGNING.the only time management came in to interrupt classes and make an announcement was during their campaign asking everyone to vote as often as possible. Including campaign posters in the locker room and throughout the gym.)I personally had found myself sitting in the womens locker room only to be intruded upon by the janitor and his vacuum on a few occasions, while my daughter was surprised by him as she walked out of the shower wrapped in a towel. We were assured that there was a procedure in place that a female staff member checked the area prior to him entering, but she never preceded him when he entered while I was in the room. When I let them know, 2 weeks in advance, that I was moving and I was cancelling my membership, they terminated my membership immediately. The following day, when I came in to workout, I was confronted in an accusatory manner that they had graciously waived cancellation fees even though I had initiated the cancellation!!??? By law, they are required to provide me a refund because Im moving outside the 25 mile radius. There are a lot of great instructors here. Sadly, in my experience, its the arrogance and ignorance of customer service of just a couple of people that I came into contact with that has brought FI down to a ZERO rating with me. Had they simply handled things in a manner that respected the situation it would have changed everything to their favor. (Just as they persuaded me to vote and help them get their #1 ranking.)

2015-05-06Every experience I’ve had at Fitness Incentive has been professional and personal. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and cares about every respective client that walks through the door. I have taken classes with Michelle, Cor, Jourdan and more, and each presents a challenging but fun workout. The gym is clean and easy to navigate. The café is awesome, and I love the mighty bites! I would recommend Fitness Incentive to anyone in the area every time!!

2015-05-06The classes are crowded. Nothing fancy about the equipment. No personal trainers or staff on the floor. If you have a question the ladies at the front are not helpful and unpleasant to talk to. Several broken lockers. The bathroom was not clean. Trash can overflowing. I prefer seat covers for the toilets or at least be clean. I would NOT recommend this gym, I was expecting a lot more for what they charge.

2018-11-21The positives: The staff is friendly, the equipment is updated regulary and it is kept clean. The gym has a good vibe with many long-term members. They recently completed a renovation of the locker rooms. The only negative to me is that the room where classes are given is somewhat open to the rest of the gym. For some classes the music Is blasted. This, plus the instructors exhortations overwhelms the rest of the gym. In order to listen to your own music you have to turn the volume on your headphones up to an unhealthy level. Having said this, I wouldn’t be surprised if the owners weren’t already trying to address this situation as they are very conscientious and responsive and are always working to improve their gym.
