Came once after it was highly recommended and unfortunately a particular staff member was very rude, lady with blond hair, I waited about 20 minutes after arriving and not once asked if we were ready to order. It wasn’t until party next to us informed that we were upset due to the poor service. Once we finally got her attention We were only able to order 1 item until she cut us off and asked if we wanted anything to drink. Then We only asked for 2 things and she claimed she didn’t have it yet we saw the other table drinking it. I would definitely not recommend going when she’s there cause people like that are the reason why the restaurant end up looking bad.
Oh terrible. Disgusting place. Were playing darts inside as a group, someone who knows the bartender smokes cigar next to windows which blows the smoke inside.. I ask, do you guys let them smoke at the window? He says yes, this is America they can do whatever here. I say to my friend thats why its always empty here.. He says you can leave here. I say I leave whenever I want. He walks on me, what did you say and he insists I leave. NASTY!!!! NASTY!!!!! NEVER COMING AGAIN. BUT I WISH HE WAS PROFESSIONAL!! I LIKE DARTS. Tom was a nice bartender, this John was not and worse he can even be the owner. Why do we get bad experience? Customers shouldnt smell cigarette or cigar or kick out for asking simple human rights. I didnt criticize his food or drink making. Even in clubs where they always smoke, when you complain bouncers say they shouldnt.. but they dont tell you to leave. bsBusiness owners. If you have the if you dont like my place then leave mindset has long gone. You gotta work with the people who like you and want to help you. You gotta listen them. Not even just act like it. Really listen and see if there is any point and respond. And definitely dont walk on them and dont be nasty. Hire professionals or learn how to control your emotions.

Absolutely love this place! Staff made me feel like i was their best friends within the first 10 minutes. visited nyc for 4 days and went there everynight with my cousin and ate lunch there just 2hrs before my flight. they even remembered my name. second night, Shane said hey welcome back jesse. got a shirt from them and alot of good memories! Love these guys and will definitely stop in everytime im in ny in the future!
Went here after a friend recommended it. Not sure if they were under staffed or not but we say outside and the server/ bartender was very rude. Asked for drinks from the board outside and the website and were told they don’t have either.
Legit dart bar (NY Dart League plays here). Great whisky selection. Good food. Good music. Very chill and never crowded. Always have fun here and meet smart cool people. Recommend!
Classic Irish pub with exactly what youd expect pub fare. Dennis is the friendly irish bartender you hope is back there - kind, attentive, and quick with a joke. Definitely recommend

Indubitably the worst costumer service experience Ive had in my 5+ years living in the city. We sat down at 6 PM and put an order in for two platters, (supposedly plenty of food for a party of 7- I cannot attest to this, as I am writing this review without having experienced the food quality).At 7pm, we ask whether or not our order was almost done. Turns out the waiter didnt even put the order in.I then asked for clarification, in an extremely collected manner. I said, You didnt put the order in?, to which the waiter responded by putting his hand in front of my face, saying the words, calm down, in an apparently menacing manner.I dont write reviews often. But when any environment dedicated to providing good times fails its customers by lacking common courtesy and respect, theres a moral obligation to stop it in its tracks.Do not support this business. We all went on a Thursday, when the restaurant was not busy. Even then, Id get it; itd be understandable if the plates werent ready simply because of their size, requiring an hour for preparation. But nope. They let us run out of water and provided zero attention to us in the 45 minutes of empty cups and stomachs.The waiters name was Manny.Sorry to rat you out, dude. Actions have consequences.(Side note: smoking seems to be allowed in here, so if youre a nonsmoker, consider finding a different place)
Great atmosphere, very nice little Irish bar tucked away on 3rd Ave. THeir custom brew is great, happy hour prices are a plus, and the staff is authentic Irish. Food has been great even if the menu is limited. Highly recommended.
One of my favorite places to go! The food is fantastic and the environment all around is great. The owners and bartenders are so friendly! Highly recommend for a nice place to hangout with friends

Great place to grab a pint. Really enjoyed my time with joe the bartender. Joe really makes a good drink and knows how to serve the customers. I enjoyed the burger the food was enjoyable and fresh . Fitzgeralds is one of the better pubs in that area.
I meet with friends this restaurant quite often! This is the best place to pass a nice evening. I visit this place many times. The cooking is of high quality, the team is helpful and the rates are decent. I like meeting in this restaurant for a rich supper.
Will always love Fitz and the service is great! Dennis is always one of the nicest bartenders, a really nice selection of beers at good prices, and the food is a great added benefit of making your way to Fitzgeralds pub!
This is my favorite place to go for drinks and food with friends but the real star of Fitz is Jerry, hes the best and my favorite bartender. Hes always on top of his tables and great to talk to!

The worst bartender I had ever had, racist and arrogant.
We arrived in NYC late after a long journey. The barman apologised that the kitchen had closed (it was 1am) but he was very kind and telephoned to a take out restaurant that brought chicken tenders for us. 100% hospitality shown to a newbie in a strange land. Thank you so very much.

I like it! Nice atmosphere. I never been there late during the weekend. I only go for lunch or dinner and the food was good all the time: fish and chips and sandwiches, etc.
Great neighborhood Irish bar with a small menu of classic pub fare. I go for their delicious Chicken Pot Pie, but everything is good!
My friend parker and I just came in for some beers. Coney island IPA is great and the chicken pot pie takes a while but is worth it. Would eat another pot pie again
Ah, my college bar.Many of girl I have wooed here,Many a car bomb Ive chugged,And many a dart thrown at that old dartboard in the back.I never messed with the jukebox much,but I appreciated those who did,for the rock and roll and rap they played.Ah, how I miss my college bar.
Typical college dive bar. Meh food items. The bartenders were extremely disrespectful to my friends because they took their time ordering drinks when the bar was almost empty.... Doesnt make sense. Also Im pretty sure the owner was drunk.
Classy set up here, with a dope staff. Felt like the bartender was hangin out with us rather than serving us (which yes, I do mean as a good thing). Fun spot.

Tremendous food portions, and the house Amber Ale is the best I ever tasted. The bartender Denis couldnt be more friendly and fast.
Whether youre a friend of the neighborhood, at student at the local school, or a outsider, Fitzgerald offers that welcoming vibe that any pub should offer. Though a bit lacking in space, one could argue that the small interior provides a more intimate experience.

2022-08-07Whats to say. The environment was wonderful. JOHN our bartender was AWESOME. The drinks were well balanced and modestly priced. The food was beyond expectations. The finished plate was bangers and mash!

2022-03-19The worst experience so far in New York. The guy attending was really unwilling to talk and explain ANYTHING to us. They confiscate your credit card when entering as something obvious, which for a foreigner might be really strange (later with another customer we found out its a creative way to assure you wont leave without paying). The food and beer were fine, but really the horrible service made the experience awful.

2022-07-04Normally Id stop here for drinks with out friends from out town/state/country but we got turned away by a bartender because a friend had an ID from the Emirates even though I used my expired under 21 ID to order drinks. Youre better off going to the East Village at that point

2022-02-10Exactly what you want from an Irish pub. Awesome service, the chicken tenders were amazing and the beer was ice cold and fresh. I was traveling for work and stopped in here during the NFL playoffs. Ended up staying for two straight games as the bar is super comfortable and again the service was perfect. Will be back in on my next trip!

2021-11-19Solid spot. Food was decent. Portions were good. Prices were fine. Service was friendly, albeit kind of slow despite it not being very crowded at all.Given the food was good, not great and the service was slow, I dont really feel comfortable giving it 5 stars. But like I said … a solid spot, and I would be willing to go back. But there are other spots in the area (Mollys which is just a block away or so as an example) that are better.However, this place does have the stamp of approval from @nutfreeinNYC so thats a big plus.
