I have been a client of this practice and Dr Merritt for over 30 years (minus the 10 years I lived in Florida). Everyone in the office has been both professional and personable. I credit Dr Merritt for saving my life when she diagnosed serious heart murmur referring me quickly to a cardiologist I ended up with an aortic valve replacement surgery shortly thereafter

I went there for about twenty years and was very happy with them until about 2018. After my divorce, I had some financial issues and I felt like they got a little patronizing. When I had to switch to the state insurance after a job change, they told me I had to find a new doctor. I haven’t heard anything from them since. It really hurt that a doctor I thought I had a relationship with felt no responsibility towards me. I know they’re supposed to be non-profit, but I really felt like my wallet wasn’t big enough for them.

The billing section doesn’t seem to be in sync with the other office personnel. I fixed an issue on the phone with someone who was very nice and professional, however they’re trying to double bill me for the same issue anyway a few weeks later.

Just didn’t work out for me anymore. The hours changed for provider I had, and then they claimed you couldn’t change providers who could accommodate evening hours. Originally loved my provider but once she gained seniority, her whole demeanor changed. I’m not prepared to pay people who act like my time isn’t just as precious or as if they are doing ME the favor. Too many other willing and humbler providers in the world for that.

BEWARE. STAY AWAY FROM THIS UNPROFESSIONAL PRACTICE!!!!This is the worst medical practice I have ever encountered. Just to leave a message, I was required to leave my birth date, even though I am not a patient. This is a HIPPA violation, which I am referring this complaint to the HHS. Because I refused to release my birth date, the answering service refused to take my message. They said it was the directive of the Five Corners Family Practice. Additionally, Gail hung up on me two times, not allowing me to explain that they mailed secure information to the incorrect addressee!!!!

Barbara Lahey, NP is the most excellent and caring provider I have ever had in my lifetime and I am going on 49 yrs. she takes the time you need and really cares about all of her patients. My 20 y/o already goes there and I’m going to take my 15 y/I there too. I feel truly blessed to have a PCP like her! :)

I set up an appointment for a physical to establish Five Corners as my primary. I completely spaced and missed my appointment. I called the following day to apologize and reschedule and I was told that they do not reschedule people that miss their initial appointment. I would have paid a fee had they offered. Apparently they have all the business they need because they were unwilling to give me another chance. I was simply turned away. So much for community.
