Five Guys in other cities:
Really solid, reliable burgers. Whenever I get a burger craving my nose just follows the scent to the nearest 5 guys. No matter who is behind the counter the burger are remarkably consistent. I always get the same thing double burger with cheese, small fries and a mellow yellow. Fries are fresh and I love that they post where they came from. I never get toppings, or sauces. The quality of the burgers is so good, spiced so well they never disappoint. A little pricey for fast food but for a buck or two more then your typical fast food its absolutely worth it. For a few pennies more you get food 10 times the quality of any fast food joint.
Best burgers in town! Always go at least once a week. Staff is so friendly and inviting. Pretty spacious place so you never need a worry about it getting crowded. A little pricey (about $8 per burger) but this is definitely higher-end fast food (would consider it like a diner).
The burgers are ok. Much better at other locations. The buns were cold. Strange. The fries were good. The young lady was nice. Food could be better. Very expensive. Very! 2 big burgers 1 small burger, 2 large fries, 3 drinks=$50.32!!! You freakin kidding me?!!! Never again.
You give your order at the counter with a list of toppings you can select for your burger, a very comprehensive list. Take a number and await its freshly cooked result. French fries available. Very good ones at that, and the source farm for the potatoes proudly indicated. Also, help yourself to free peanuts to munch on whole awaiting your order. Overall a no nonsense approach to burgers and fries. Plenty of parking outside, very reasonable pricing. Soft drinks available too. Cash or credit OK.
Walked up and the placed was locked. People inside eating and working there but no one even looked at me. Why are you open but locked to walk ins? Never going back. EDIT : Yes I was wearing a mask. It was around 2PM, no reason they would be closed. No signs to indicate pick up only or online orders only, nothing. Also people were clearly dining inside. Why are the doors locked for customers? Also the employees had to have heard me try to open the doors, they jangled pretty loud. Not one of them even acknowledged me, what is up with that?
Love the place. Was so happy when I heard that there was going to be a new Five guys closer to home. I was there on the first day and have gone there enough to know that the service is great as well as the food. I usually get a Regular Cheeseburger with ketchup. The fries are really good and they give you a lot extra in the bag. They do have the new coke machines (coca-cola freestyle). That is not a big deal but I like the variety of the drinks in this new machine. I also recommend ordering online because when you arrive, its paid for, and the food will come faster as they already know your order. 5 out of 5 in all categories.
Burgers were delicious yes but Great bargain by the Washingtonian magazine I think not!! Almost $20.00 for a meal that comes with a burger drink and fries that you have to order separately is overboard, $4.19 I believe was for a small fries??? That way to much if you ask me!!
Five guys us so good because no matter where or when you go, it is always consistent. Like all other locations the floors and tables are always clean. There is a large box of peanuts 🥜 as you enter the front door to eat while you wait for your food. The employees are nice and orders come up fast. 🍔🌭🍟
I like this location because its not busy because the shopping center its in isnt busy. The hamburgers are good for a fast food place and the french fries are fresh. Even some expensive restaurants have frozen french fries. I wont go back to an expensive restaurant that has frozen french fries. Some people have written that the prices are high but they dont have to be. The hamburger for $7 is two hamburgers. The little hamburger which is one hamburger was fine for me, although it would not have been what I was a lot younger. Likewise, the medium size french fries was too big for two people to finish and I really like french fries.
Ive been to this location a few times. It is a large restaurant, however every time I am here it seems a little empty. The employees look a little bored and that usually concerns me. The burgers are only alright, not the best Five Guys burger Ive had. My mouth did feel a bit dry after I ate the burgers so Im not sure what type of seasoning theyre using on these burgers, but it potentially could be something with MSG.
Great burgers and cajun fries! They do have a sign posted on their window that says voted best for dining on a budget 😕Not when you order 3 burgers, small fries and a drink for $37. Try again...the sign was from a DC publication when its posted in their Garden City Park, Long Island location.
We went here for burger yesterday, and for some reason the were short staffed, well the 3 ppl working were really extending themselves but one guy stood out and that was Jessie. Although the wait was long he kept his composure. And working hard and keeping things moving as best as he could.Good job hope you your bosses know how much of asset you are...
One star because it is impossible to rate zero stars. The last two times weve been there, the guy working the register has harassed my family for staring at other customers. Five Guys has failed to address the problem so after years of enjoying their food and service, were done.
The only reason I gave 2 stars is because of the food being decent. Otherwise this would be zero stars! The customer service takes away for the experience 1000%. When you want to call your order in, the people either dont answer the phone at all or they answer and put you on immediate hold for 10min or longer (thats if they actually answer again). So then your basically forced to have to go there in person and it takes 30min just to get your order! PLUS the shop is empty so your curious why their phone service is so terrible. No apologies either btw. You guys need to get it together at this branch. At this point I would rather travel to the Little Neck branch! At least they answer the phones and the wait is half the time.
DO NOT ORDER HERE!!!! this place is the most disgusting, laziest, worst employee having place in the entire state!!! I REPEAT DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!! Please order from any other restaurant anywhere please!! This place is not only dirty they also do not care about their customersNumerous times they have canceled orders on customers 5 minutes before they are due. I will never ever go back to this place and neither should you. Please spend your hard earned money anywhere but here!!!!
Why is this place advertised as open...tried to order through the app—didn’t work; drove over there—doors were locked with 3 employees sitting around in an empty restaurant; tried to order through the website—still no luck; finally called the number posted on the window in giant font—no one picks up...
Overall good food, but they say if you order online you skip the line, however we ordered food and 30 minutes later we got there and they had to make it on the spot. If you know five guys you know it takes a while. So honestly, what’s the point of ordering online if you don’t have it ready?
Freddy had to be called out of the back 5 times before he came out and took my order. I heard yelling from the back where Freddy was. another customer came in behind me and they called Freddy multiple times and he never came out. still yelling coming out from the back. the restaurant was COMPLETELY empty besides the two employees telling me Freddy will be right with meFreddy was horrible, dont be like Freddy
This is a remarkably below average five guys for quality of training and staff skill, though they are all nice and trying to do things, it runs less like a well oiled machine than other five guys I have been to- the staff once left me on the phone on hold for 5 min then didnt answer when I called back, though it was clearly a new girl who was on register and phone when I got there and she was very apologetic, I think that she didnt know how to work it and someone else took over when they got back from break- one time they made my milkshakes completely wrong I have no idea how but they were liquid and way too sweet which I didnt realize until I got home- the fries are more starchy and not consistently well cooked because they dont use timers for them unlike other locations- the burgers tend to have less condiments than at other five guys, and are drier / overcooked often
Well I used to like five guys burgers and I might still think about having one but the bag of soggy french fries threw me over the top.I mean these things were like rubber and I could not eat them. They need to find a way to keep them crispy maybe dont pack them in a closed bag and put them in something different might help.

2022-06-16Always a Great cheeseburger with ketchup, just delicious. The restaurant was extremely clean and there are plenty of seats. The food was prepared fairly quickly. The bathrooms were very clean. There is plenty of free parking, its a shopping center.

2022-06-18I love burgers and I love five guys burgers. Wish they had better organizational boxes for their fries 🍟. But aside from that I love their food. Also it is sadly on the expensive side.

2017-11-28Lets give credit where credit is due. After a long back and forth with the kids trying to choose lunch, we decided on Five Guys. It had been a long time since weve had it. Thinking about it, it was like the earliest fast casual that elevated the hamburger. Way before shake shack or smashurger or bareburger or whatever. Note that if you have anything resembling peanut allergies, you should stay away as there are literally peanuts everywhere. Freshly roasted, unshelled peanuts in cartons, are available with little paper boats for munching on as youre waiting. Their fries are fried in peanut oil.So the rundown. Their burgers come in regular and junior size. The difference is essentially an extra patty. The beef is fresh and tastes like it was homemade. Another plus - all their toppings are basic but free eg grilled onions, shrooms, etc. The fries were a little soggier than I remember but they make up for it completely with taste and quantity. Lastly, they have those fancy Coke dispensers that offers a gazillion different combination options. The place is super clean and the workers all seem like there enjoying themselves. Definitely worth it.

2021-09-18I ordered 2 bacon hot dogs and a Cheeseburger. First of all, the hot dogs had no bacon, which costs about 2.50 per hot dog to add on. Next, the burger had nothing but ketchup, they put the pickles and tomato on the hot dogs.Unforgivable mistake, I will never be going back to this location. In order to get a refund they want me to drive back there and waste more of my time and gas. They had a chance to save my patronage if they were able to refund over the phone, but alas they dont do that.I also sat there waiting while my food was getting cold because the person in front of me ordered 6 milkshakes.

2022-04-23UPDATE: I was critical of this location for how it operated during 2020 and 2021, but Ive gone a few times now in 2022 and it has really turned it around. There is eye contact, friendly staff, good quality food, and much quicker turnarounds. It feels more like a regular Five Guys location. So im very happy to see it because it is the closest location to me.OLD POST: Corporate, please save this Five Guys location!! Ill reiterate what others have said. This is one of the worst run Five Guys locations of the dozens that Ive visited. Corporate should step in about management or replace the franchisee. This location is so bad that Im pretty confident its damaged the brand.I avoided this location by going to the one in Carle Place until it closed. I gave them some leeway because of COVID, but service is abysmal. The staff wanders off like stray cats during the middle of ordering and trying to fill orders. There was 2 or 3 employees out of the 10 that were keeping it together and they were clearly overwhelmed and frustrated. Fries were soggy. The burger barely made it between the bun.Ill reluctantly keep going to Shake Shack until Five Guys reclaims control of this location.

2021-10-10Generally really like Five Guys but this particular location in Garden City was ot the best experience food wise. When I got home, the burger arrived cold and the seasoned fries were overly seasoned ... AND they forgot my shake. The guy was nice enough to stay a few extra minutes after they closed so I can pick up the shake (I called them right before they closed) but when I got there, it was like they gave me the shake that I had ordered much earlier ... it was puddle of melted ice cream... not impressed

2021-11-05I heard about Five Guys and passing by, I decided to stop by and try their burgers. The staff here were attentive and the food came out stirring hot. The french fries were good but the burger was ok at best. I know its fast food but it just lacked a wow factor I guess.

2021-10-02The team is nice. But the store it’s self performs very low in terms brand standards. For one the store hours are next accurate. You go at 4 o’clock on a Tuesday and the store is closed and it breaks your heart when you pull the door and it’s closed. Also they food itself is not what you expect. I go to five guys for hot fries and burgers. At this location you can almost gaurentee to have cold fries. So yes performing way below the brand standards the company has established..

2021-09-22Ordered online only to have our order canceled almost half an hour later because the restaurant said that it closed - at 6pm, despite their own hours saying that they were open until 9pm.Upon driving to the restaurant, the lights were on and workers were inside, but the door was locked. They noticed us and shook their heads no - so I asked them why they were closed and they literally made the shoo shoo gesture with their hands.I pointed to the hours, and the older man behind the counter shot us two middle fingers. Unbelievable. Why close a restaurant 3 hours before closing? Why not explain to the customers why?Miserable experience. This location *deserves* to go out of business. Im never giving them another dime of my money. Stick to the location on Horace Harding.
