The food was delicious. I had oxtail rice and peas with Mac and cheese plus a side of plantain and a curry chicken with roti. Everything was excellent. I ordered from Uber eats and everything was well packaged. I feel like I ate from here about a year ago and the food was not good at all. But this is my second or third time ordering from Uber eats and everything was perfect even the packages and homemade drinks. Whatever you all are doing there keep up the good work! This place is saving me a trip to Queens.I just want to update that the mac and cheese was good but it could have been better. However it was good enough to almost forget to edit my review.
This place gone to the dog buy two large oxtail and they literally served it like it is a small food Im very disappointed and I wont be going back there. PPL TAKE MY ADVICE THEY NOT SERVING RIGHT AND THE LIGHT SKIN GIRL THERE DONT HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILL. ALL SHE GIVE IS ATTITUDE LIKE YOU BEGGING FOOD SHE IS DISGUSTING AND CAN NEVER GET PPL ORDERS CORRECT IM CALLING FOOD SAFETY ON THEM BECAUSE THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.
I advice not to eat at this restaurant. Staff lack customer service skills. I went in to order food for my wife and I. The lady serving my food prepared my order wrong. So I had to go back and change it, because it wasn’t what I asked for. The lady go tell me that I should’ve let my wife eat it. How can you force someone to eat something they don’t want or didn’t ask for. She gave me a hard time just to switch out the Mac and cheese for rice and peas. She even attempted to be fast enough to tell me to get off my phone, like my phone is what matters to her. She went as far as say it’s because I’m not a kingstonian, why i could not force my wife eat what she did not want. Customer service skills are bad for some low grade food.
I ordered steamed snapper and got fried snapper. I ordered potato salad and I got nothing I ordered. I wish I could give them 0 stars. The food was okay but Im allergic to green vegetables so I could not eat the broccoli or okra that they sent which I did not order. I tried calling the restaurant and the line stayed busy. Thank God for Grub Hub who refunded my money back to me. I wont be ordering from here again
I ordered via Doordash and I guess that’s why they gave me terrible quality food since they know I won’t actually physically go into the store but first off, they forgot one of the sides I ordered. Second, the shrimp they gave me was 100% bought frozen, never fresh. They put way too much flour in the fried chicken that it tasted grainy while eating it and the rice was probably a 3 out of 10. The mac pie was unseasoned. I’d like to give them the benefit of the doubt and order food in store but honestly, someone needs to test their “shrimps.” There’s no way it’s real. They put fresh shrimp in their doordash menu picture so it was deceiving.
After multiple orders and countless times of trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, I will not be patronizing this place again. It is ridiculous bad customer service is at this place. I placed an order and NONE of my instructions were followed. And they were normals instructions. I really though maybe this time around would be different but clearly they don’t need the money from customers. So I’m taking my business elsewhere. I’d rather 80-90 minutes for another restaurant’s food no matter how hungry I am. I’m tired of this place. As a professional in the food Industry, I’m highly disappointed in them. I hope you all get better for your own sake. Your business depends on customer service and pleasing the customers. You need us we don’t need you.
Tonight was very displeasing. I ordered in hopes of maybe some redemption from the last few orders that have failed me. Half of my order was cold and the entire order was the size of a small meal instead of a large. I am not asking for the entire pot of Oxtail for my large however 5 pieces is a little on the skimp side. My partner and I usually share a large. We had to order more food. Oxtail had very little favor, you just taste sweetness. Plantain burnt. The cabbage was not properly cleaned as some was rotten. I really love Flavas and hate that I have to write a review but hopefully quality, quantity, And all around good care for the food is taken into more consideration. I won’t write you guys off just yet, I love to support this local spot so hopefully our complaints can be taken seriously.
Ghetto do not eat here. The food is stale. This establishment has had several locations closed down and it is clear why this has happened in. The customer service is terrible there personnel that work there don’t have any idea how to communicate with your customers kindly . Find a better Jamaican restaurant to go to.
It’s absolutely evident that the staff here lack customer service , their attitudes are revoltingly atrocious . I went to this establishment at different times a day thinking the service will be different, but to my Chagrin it wasn’t. The owner need to terminate these people and get a whole new staff. I will not be spending my hard earn money here .
I usually order from here and never have issues but the last 2x I ordered curry goat plain twins and rice and peas instead of plantains they gave me cabbage I tried calling no answer ok no problem the last time was yesterday I ordered my usual curry goat rice peas Mac salad n plantains I was still giving cabbage although I asked for plantains and my curry goat had only fat on it the food was horrible I couldn’t even eat it the onli thing I did eat was the Mac salad and I have been throwing up n feeling nauseas ever since this is definitely my last time eating from here
I ordered jerk pork with mac & cheese. They sent me uncooked jerk wings. The jerk wings were not cooked properly & the jerk sauce wasn’t so tasty. The mac & cheese taste like it had sugar in it. I tried calling the restaurant, the phone was busy. Had they answered the phone I wouldn’t have wrote this review.
The oxtail was the worst that Ive tasted ever. I paid $13 for a small plate with rice and peas, and cabbage. There was a few bites of meat, and the rest of the portion was pure bone. Its always a bad thing when a business feels its ok to take negative advantage of their customers. Its robbery, and they do it without a smile. The customer service sucks as well.
Horrible restaurant !!! Ordered on Uber eats. First time they cancelled my order . I ordered again the oxtail bundle & when I received my order they gave me bbq chicken & Mac which was by the way the worst I’ve ever had . The Mac & cheese has a bad taste & so does the chicken . Tried calling the restaurant & it’s just a busy tone . No wonder they have bad reviews . Never again!!!
I wanted to try the new restaurant that I heard the owner of this restaurant opened recently, which was a block or two away from this one and I was excited. I told all I knew at that were around me at the time. When I finally got there, the first time I tasted the food I ordered, the taste was off. I thought I would try again, this time when I tried to order, the woman totally ignored me. When she finally gave me any attention she gave me the nastiest look, I wondered why is she serving at a restaurant. And after all of that she continued to ignore me and proceeded to replace some of the silver containers holding the food to be served.When I realized ordering would be next to impossible at this restaurant, because of the horrible customer service, I went back to the original one where I was served readily and with care. The lady at this one served a lot of food and it was quick. Later on I checked the reciept and I became aware that I was served by the owner herself. Which brings me to come to the opinion that only when the owner is present, the cashiers do their jobs. Do not discredit the stores because of the bad customer service by the cashiers. Do what you can to let the management know, because chances are they are not aware of who is causing their business to go down.I really and truly believe these restaurants would have had lines going around the corner as the food is tasty, but there are customers who would not compromise for good customer service. The owner seems so nice, if in fact she was the owner, in fact this could be the next Golden Crust if care is taken -who knows...but the cashiers/servers are literally holding back production.
Rude servers... they dont talk to you nicely at all!,They dont listen, and then they look for a tip...I ordered a large oxtail, it came out to about 14 dollars. It was 3 oxtails and 5 bones. They didnt include plantains and i gave them a tip. If i ever go back to this place which im not planning on, ill make sure i count out the pennies for the exact change. No sense tipping when my order looks like i got the last of the lasts
TERRIBLE customer service!! second time i go and i thought the first time was bc they were having a bad day and had a attitude but even when i called to place an order they have me waiting over 20mins and tell me i have to wait and wait till the line of customers is done when i called before!!! if you dont like your job get a new one!!
I visited this restaurant with a friend who previously ordered food, via online, and wanted to tell the employees personally how much she injoyed the food.Well, that didnt go too well. The two employees at the first, especially the woman, were not welcoming. The man joked with my friend but the vibe was off.My friend stated that she wanted to stop by personally and tell the establishment how much she injoyed the food. Which she ordered twice and had delivered. After telling the two employees this, the woman (who was scrolling on her phone at time) said to my friend oh, I thought you were here to order.Baffled....Not a thank you for your compliment, not a come back another time, nothing. Ive personally never ate from this restaurant and I doubt I ever will, especially after that awkward moment.I refuse to allow this experience to set the tone for all Caribbean black businesses.
December 27, 2020 Ordered through Uber Eats Ribs Yams and Mac N cheese. The candy yams were smelly and spoiled, and the ribs were light pink inside. I called the restaurant 4x and each time someone answered the phone and hung up.We are encouraged by our local politicians to support black businesses in our community....but how is that possible when they are feeding people garbage with no accountability.WM
Hello, I’m a Jamaican bornraise with a mother who cooked 6 days a week. As my grandmother and my aunties. I brought that up to say that the food is valid it’s authentic Jamaican cooking. But with that being said; they need to be aware that smiling, & greeting ppl; saying simple things like: “hello good afternoon can I take your order? go along way the customer service just sucks there. Most ppl go simply because it’s convenient it is frequented by mainly local people who don’t have the means to go further for good quality food
They have nasty attitudes to go with their nasty food. The fried chicken tasted like they stole it directly from a crown fried chicken spot, the most inconsistent pricing $9.75 for Rasta Pasta?! Not even Bedstuy fish fry is that high. Slow service and long lines dont mix. The woman working the register was so inconsiderate she served me another customers order. They cant identify their own patties. I gave them too many chances to improve, your better off at Miss Lillys.
I have had take out delivered from here twice now and both times they manage to mess up the order.The 1st timeThey left something off but I wasnt charged. Fair enough.But the 2nd time-I ordered 2 beef patties and a Roti and there was 3 beef patties and no roti when it got here. It wasnt as if maybe giving me an extra beef patty by mistake and forgot the roti- I was charged for both the roti and the 3rd beef patty!The food is solid but it isnt worth risking this type of incompetence every time you order from them.
I go here because the oxtail are finger licking good but the attitude especially from de women are crast like they dont need my money. Used to be my staple every Saturday & Sunday after work now I go once a month. Went here last week for a woman to ask me did I want food already bagged at the counter. Totally unprofessional & unsanitary. Stood at the counter while 2 females held a conversation for more 5 minutes while I waited patiently for someone to acknowledge me. I even brought this establishment customers but I think Im done with them. Too many negatives even if the food is sick. PS gotta beg some of them to give u a good serving, plantains & gravy!
The food is decent, but you have two red women that work there, who dont like their job or people, advice, quit so somebody else with a better attitude can take your place, the restaurant would be a better place without you two there. The attitude make people walk outta there with out ordering sometimes, and thats bad for business.
DISGUSTING!!! Please, dont do it to your self. They dont even deserve one star but, I had to give them that in order to write the review.. $20 wasted!!! And I feel like Im finna throw up. I literally took 1bite of the stew chicken and I had to put it down. I was beyond hungry thats why I went there in the 1st place so I figured Id eat the rice & man do I regret it!!! I feel like Im finna throw up. I even drunk water and ate candy I had but the disgusting taste of their food would not leave my mouth. Horrible stew chicken, Horrible curry chicken (my boyfriend ordered that) even looks disgusting...and Horrible cabbage. Plus theyre too expensive for food so bad. Id rather have peanut butter & jelly sandwiches. Now my stomach hurts...I have to go throw up.
Ordered food from uber eats and they forgot one of my order. I called them to explain that I had not received the item and the lady who answered made it seem as if it was my fault for them forgetting an item. I do understand mistakes happen but how she handled it was no bueno. Food was ok because by the time I got it, it was cold and the restaurant is only 8 mins away from me.
Very nasty attitude ...was served microwave mac ..made me sick...been going there for some time but not anymore...went for stew peas why did I do that should have went home....the women working in there act like u not spending Money ..need new people to work there food not up to par..last night had me waiting half an hour for rice...then get mad when I keep asking..got veggie rice an curry chicken the rice was hard..no meat once again...wanted two orders tell me no more Rice once again...cant sale meat alone...people check your food before yoyou leave..and watch them when making food...the mac an cheese Is pre cooked heat up in micro wave days later...the light sink girl whos there all the time cant count watch your money..nasty place was not like this...years ago..worst place in ENY...matter a face in Brooklyn...need new management
Sept 2, 2020 Dont waste your money on this place the food was horrible.The shrimp was mushy& not seasoned , yams had absolutely no taste .I ordered bbq ribs ,my ribs came without the bbq sauce , bbq chicken was dry & not seasoned everything was disgusting very disappointed.

2022-03-23If I could give this restaurant a zero I would, the customer service is very poor, everybody have an attitude, I would not recommend this restaurant, look at my food, I gave instructions that I didn’t want any potatoes salad, no meat is not even in the plate. This restaurant was one of my favorite but not again. They don’t follow instructions and they share people food like they are sharing it for dogs, this happens every time I order off Uber eats, I order with Uber from other restaurants and my food never looks like this. I will never order here again. The boss need to fire some a these people that work in there, your business is going down sir, they are giving your restaurant a bad image…..

2022-07-16Order oxtails and paid $25 for a large when I got home to eat it, I don’t know what meat they gave me but it definitely wasn’t oxtails. It was red inside and hard to chew, the bones were flat. Don’t charge me for oxtails and give me any meat you want. I used to love this place even with the bad customer service but the food is not the same!! It must be new owners or cook!

2022-08-08This is the worse place ever. I waited over 7 min calling for assistance. A worker came put rolling her eyes talking on the phone. She finally addressed me by saying what you want? Rudely!!!! I asked for a all curry goat and rice she said its only one size pointing to a large tray and walked back in the back still on the phone. After reading the reviews I guess I dodged a bullet. If your not hear to serve the community maybe you should close the sit down and let another restaurant take its place. Ive tried three times too many.

2020-09-29Mhmm this place is decent, the food definitely isn’t anything grand or something I would make a special trip for. However it was good to have this place not too far from where I was at, the staff was not friendly or willing to explain what they had or what something was. I had corn and it was dry and you can tell it had been sitting for way too long it was stale..

2022-03-150 stars for this disgusting place with even more disgusting customer service. Please do not spend your hard earned money in a place that gets an attitude, leaves the counter and turns up the music when you demand the correct change. The order was curry goat and rice and peas. The plate of food was $16.24 (the terrible woman more like beast made sure to let me know the prices have increased by pointing to a sign made out of a torn cardboard box, so professional and eye pleasing (sarcasm), I guess it goes with the shanti-town décor they are going for. Nasty looking place matches the nasty attitudes). First, this place refuse to call it a business, does not give out receipts. Maybe Ill alert the IRS. I paid with a $50.00 bill for change I got back $31.45. Lets do the math $50.00 - $16.24 =$33.76. When I requested the correct change this nasty winch had the nerve to get an attitude and tell me that its not her fault. I then demanded the correct change. She still shorted me the .76. I demanded it not because I needed it but on principle. She then fixes her disgusting discolored mouth to say its not her fault that she doesnt have coins. It is absolutely your fault that you dont have coins. Its absolutely your fault that you cannot do simple math and its absolutely your fault that I will never patron this business again and will forever tell anyone I know not to spend money here. Your customers keep you in business and west indian restaurants come a dime a dozen so yours can close and no one will miss you. I will also alert the Better Business Bureau and DOH to let them know that you knowingly cheat your customers out of their change in the hopes that they dont notice and food is left uncovered. I was buying lunch for a young person who was hungry and Im glad I chose to forgo buying anything for me. If the food wasnt already prepared and given to her I would have demanded a refund.

2022-05-18Flava at 335 New Lots served me Chicken feet soup, when I asked for Chicken soup. The individual I help was upset after she was ready to eat. I never asked for feet. Will be going back to asked for my Chicken soup. That individual dont eat Chicken feet. How Ridiculous!!!!

2022-01-25I really loved this spot not anymore they dropped the ball sending food that smelled spoiled I was so upset that they would put someones life in danger like that. I ordered barbecue chicken my usual and as soon as you opened the plate it smelled like fish. The chicken was slimey like it hadnt been cleaned I couldnt believe it. They slapped the bbq sauce on to hide the look but the chicken was so pink in the inside there was no fooling that. I will never order from them again.

2022-01-25If I could give 0 I would. I usually order via uber eats. Last time I went to the place personally, and the price was higher. Medium oxtail 17 uber eats, 20 when I get there. What I did I got out from that place, order ubereats for pickup and pay 17 for each order. People who work there must be honest, and charge the right fee.
