First of all, I loved how easy it was to book an appointment with Floating Piano Factory. Just go on their website, choose a tuner and an available time, and thats it!Mike was great. Very professional and knowledgeable, and he took the time to explain the couple of issues that came up. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
Weve used Floating Piano Factorys piano tuning service a couple of times and are happy to recommend them. Their online booking system works pretty well, complete with confirmation, reminder and follow-up. Credit card payments are accepted.
I never write online reviews, but this place is so fantastic I had to. After another piano repair person told me my problems were so bad Id have to get a new one, I made an appointment. The apprentice came twice did as much as he could to fix some of the problems on my old grand piano. I live in the Bronx and they were fine with that. The price was so low I gave him a 20% tip!!
I have the pleasure to say that working as a marketing apprentice with Eathan Janney and Floating Piano Factory was a great experience. Eathan was very committed to helping me improve copy writing. As we worked together I saw changes in my understanding with each improvement we made within the business. He is also diligent, very clear with directions and understood how to help me grow my expertise. His kindness and social skills made it an amazing working experience. Great service my very old piano hadnt been tuned in more than sixteen years, it just gathered dust. Tom arrived promptly and set to work. It took a long time but the results were wonderful. I highly recommend this service.
Bimol of FPF, the technician had worked on the piano a few weeks earlier, replacing brushing. Extremely knowledgeable and careful. The difference was noticeable even to me with a less professional ear. So after he repaired the sticky keys and worked on the action, I asked him to come this week for a thorough tuning. Mission accomplished, Bimol did an wonderful very complete tuning and is a very nice person (in this interaction). Would happily recommend him.
Very impressed by the professionality of these folks! Very knowledgable, focused and dedicated. Daniel spent three solid hours on our piano last SUNDAY MORNING. Daniel showed up on time, worked for three hours straight and did a great job with the tuning and pitch raise. More, they have fair prices and easy + efficient online booking! I just had my piano tuned by Bimol. He has arrived on time and was very professional. He assessed my piano and has recommended two sessions to allow the piano to settle first. He did a great job!
Ive been using Floating Piano Factory, and Eathan in particular, for nearly three years now. Hes diligent and patient and provides wonderful service. Scheduling and communication is easy. And I love what he plays after he finishes up a tuning job! Highly recommended.
Ive been using Eathan for about three years. Eathan provides an excellent piano tuning. Hes definitely one of the best piano tuners I have had in the past ten years. I highly recommend him.Recently Eathan regulated and tuned my piano. Eathan handled this very laborious task with cheerfulness and enthusiasm. Now that my piano has been regulated it sounds better than ever.
Tom - the newest member of the team - came to tune my upright Knabe and fix the B2 key. The tuning went well, as did the key repair. Since it was Toms first time doing that kind of repair, it took a little longer than it typically might, but he also didnt charge me for the repair, which was really nice of him. All in all a very good experience.

Daniel did an excellent job tuning the piano and raising the pitch. He spent four hours working on it to make sure it was done properly. Very professional.
My hundred year old baby grand has quite a few problems and badly needed a tuning. Bimol, an apprentice, was completely excellent--flexible, knowledgeable, and genuinely excited about showing my old honky tonk some TLC. Ill be working with him again in three months for a tuning!
Eathan did a great job on my upright. It now sounds much, much better. He was very patient until he got it right and until I was happy. He was gracious and pleasant to interact with. Would use again.

2022-04-03Adam came by and tuned my piano this week. This piano is super important to me, as it has been in my family for three generations. On top of it being old, I had just moved it up the East Coast, AND it’s a spinet, so it’s not the easiest to tune. Adam took the time to understand how much the piano meant to me, and his work really proved that. He even offered tips for how often to have it tuned, as well as how to achieve climate control either with Floating Piano, or on my own. As a young woman in New York, you sort of always expect to be swindled or talked down to in service appointment, but this experience was the exact opposite. I will definitely have Adam back when the time comes!

2019-02-13Ive been working with Floating Piano Factory for years starting the owner and then several tuners. As a local music school owner and teacher, I have been referring them clients for almost a decade. Why? Reliable, trustworthy, and great service. Recently, I had a series of recital concerts at a local church with a Steinway grand which we discovered was out of tune. Daniel took the challenge to tune the piano within 40 minutes in front of a full house. 57 performances were saved! Thank you Eathan, Daniel, Susan and all from all of us at Park Slope Music Lessons.

2019-06-26We love love love Floating Piano Factory. We used their services twice so far, and we couldnt have dreamed of better service. The appointment is easy to do, with plenty of options, and their crew is excellent. We had Maria today, and she found a broken key and fixed it without hesitations. It is an old piano that we inherited for our young daughter, and having the kid watch Maria work (and talk to her about what she was doing) was magical. Thank you!

2016-01-18I love the option of booking an appointment directly on their website- it seriously could not be easier! Tom arrived on time, was courteous, polite, and professional. He made me feel very comfortable having him in my home. I was busy tending my 2 toddlers and he just set up very quickly and got to work with no assistance or questions needed from me at all. He worked diligently and was steadfast- I could sense he has a strong work ethic. I would highly recommend Tom and any of the experts at Floating Piano Factory, for your piano needs either at home, or in a business setting. I look forward to booking my next tuning with them!

2020-07-11I am very pleased with Patricks work on our Yamaha baby grand piano. The piano had recently been moved from NH to NYC and was badly out of tune, with the moisture system disconnected and new pads needed.Patrick worked steadily and quickly, answering my questions, with good suggestions and a very pleasant manner. 2014-06-20My piano hasnt been tuned for about a year and it isnt the best piano in the world. I have also been looking for a reliable piano tuner for over a year now. I found the Floating Piano Factory on Google and it was the best search Ive ever done.I made an appointment with Isaac to tune my piano. He spent 3 hours tuning my piano and the outcome was absolutely amazing. He was friendly and very patient in tuning my piano. From now on, I will be calling Isaac to tune my piano.

Our piano had not been tuned for about a decade and it really showed! >.< Tom spent 2 hours with our piano and it sounded great by the end!
