Flores Restaurant in other cities:
I went looking for Paella. Ever since I had paella in Barcelona I look for it on occasion. After an internet search I found Flores. A new restaurant in Wappingers. I ordered paella for two at the cost of $30 The small intimate restaurant is well lit and organized. I like the name Flores (Flowers) and the heart theme. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I was invited to sit at the bar and have a drink of my choosing. I opted for filtered water. When the food came I notice my bag was light and didn’t have much in it. There were no utensils or napkins. Inside my recycled reusable bag was a small plastic container with what looked like brown rice paella. It was oily and it did taste good. I prefer yellow rice though. The food was not well presented in the takeout container and the portion size was for one and not two people. Garnishing the rice would have helped with presentation. They really should have had a bag with their name and logo which would have represented the restaurant perfectly. The paella was okay but way over priced.
I celebrated my birthday yesterday in this excellent restaurant. happy to tell that we passed a wonderful evening and the place was indeed the reason for the successful celebration. The stuff participated in a graceful style, the food was great and my friends were so glad. We shall absolutely visit again for more events. Thank you very much.
Went with family for my birthday Jan 14 2021 was met by a few bums in the parking lot,Got inside loud music and the dining area looks like a storage room,,then the food comes out ,,most delicious paupusa I ever tasted,, Seafood soup was bright yellow loaded with a fair amount of shellfish very good flavor,, next was the steak and grilled lobster,,nice presentation was pleased and surprised at how I ate all of it!!!,, management needs to clean and arrange the mess
If youre uncomfortable with an unkempt establishment then this place, and this area of Brentwood might not be for you. I suppose its as close to being in El Salvador as your going to get on Long Island. But lets talk about the food, or for me; the papusas. Papusas are a personal favorite of mine, and I had the meat and cheese and the plain cheese. Both are excellent, and so hot off the grill that I had to wait until I got home before I could indulge, and with the aroma so thick in the car it was like torture. If your in the area, and your not uncomfortable with a truly Hispanic neighborhood, then you should definitely go, just for the papusas alone.
I’ve been coming to this establishment for years but unfortunately today was my last time dining here! There was a huge cockroach on our table, I pointed it out to the waitress and she slapped it to the floor and stepped on it! No one apologized! She brought it up to the owner & he acted as if nothing happened, all he did was walk around our table very discreetly! That should have been a sign to get up and go but we decided to stay and not make a big fuss.Waited over 25 mins for my sea food soup & once I dug in can you believe I found a huge long hair in it. I sent it back and said wow this is gross. I walked out but they changed my husband for the drinks 😂 can you believe that & still no one apologize for all that we encountered! How disgusting & Completely unsanitary! They lost a great customer!
My friends and I have been trying a few different Salvadorian restaurants around Queens so we decided to try this one, but let me tell you, Flores Restaurant is by far the best of all. The cuisine is so authentic, so flavorful food, good portions and attentive service. A+
The food was decent but The place is dirty. Thank god I’ve only went there to pick up food. A few times I’ve called to place my order because I hate waiting there. Nobody ever answers. I go in and the owner is right there near the phone. So I called from the inside and they all ignore it.Because every time I go inside the drunk Central American guys stare you down. You might want to leave you wife in the car If you wish to pick up food without anyone harassing. Also the side of the building is filled with drunks and drug addicts. Literally about 12 men always harassing the patrons going in any establishment there in that shopping center. This area was known to be an MS 13 territory. I have no idea why the 3rd precinct is never in that area doing anything.
Very good food, best pupusas in town but services sucks they tell u 30 minutes of wait time on the phone for an order of 10 pupusas and when u get there it turns out u have to wait another 30minutes, they should tell an hour instead specially if is a business night like Friday and Saturday/Sunday
Previously it was a place where they made delicious pupusas, I have bought twice lately and they are fatal it seems that they make them with their feet, too thick of pure mass they look like bricks I do not know what happened to them because it was a very rich place but today they should feel ashamed of sell some pupusas like that sorry but I will never visit them again I am not to waste my money because they are too expensive and bad 👎🏼👎🏼🤮🤮
Do not waste your time arriving at this place, the food is bad and the prices are through the roof ,,, I ordered a roast beef and a ceviche and the truth that poor quality of ceviche I do not recommend ....... ... if youre looking for a place to dine out dont waste your time by coming to this place their food is bad and their prices are hight I wouldnt recommend it ,, 0🌟
100% Salvadoran food, we are Chilean and we were delighted with the dishes they prepare here (we recommend the Pupusas in all their flavors and tamales obviously accompanied by a rich Pilsener beer).Very cozy place, fast attention and kindness with the Caribbean love. Cheap price chart, average consumption for 4 people 40 USD (well eaten).Restaurant Flores ...... 100% Salvadoran.
They literally have the BEST pupusas. Ive eaten pupusas all over Long Island and I always come back to them. When you order, try the rice pupusas with cicharron or cheese with loroco. Theyre my favorite 🤤🤤The BEST pupusas Ive tried. I have eaten pupusas all over the island and I always return to them. They ask for pupusas of rice with chicarron or cheese with loroco. They are my favorites 🤤🤤
The pupusa were very good in this place. Some of the richest but today they are not good. I go from Nassau to Brentwood for these pupusas. It has no flavor almost no meat or beans and the tanning was super simple. When I wanted to say something to the very disgusting waitress, she replied that this was not her problem and that the pupusa were very good. I lived with more than 10 people and nobody liked them. My family living there recommended me other places. But too bad because this place was one of my favorites.
Best pupusas in town hands down!I gave it only 3 STARS because the customer service is terrible here. They dont greet you or acknowledge your presence when you walk in at all. On top of all that theyre extremely rude and impolite. This place has the best Pupusas!I give it 3 stars and I hope the owner / owner reads it and realizes how terrible customer service is here. The waitresses do not even greet you when you enter this place. Above all they are very badly educated, it is as if they were doing us the favor. Thats why I gave them 3 stars!I say that if they werent for the clients, the workers here didnt have a job.

2022-02-27The food is great, its genuine hispanic cuisine. Their dishes are delicious and the prices are good! Parking on the weekends is tricky as its next to a lot of stores and a big grocery store.
