Fun, quick and over the top delicious! We had lunch there the other day and werent sure what to expect. Everything exceeded expectations including the friendly staff and nice little beer selection. On top of all that was the super cute chicken art colored by kids. We will definitely be back!
The chicken is pretty good… the breading is nice and light but could have more seasoning. The fries are great. The cornbread was not very good. It’s dry and lacks flavor. Probably could have been better if it was served with butter but I wouldn’t order it again anyway.
Wow. That was such a let down. Im not gonna lie, I went in with mid-high expectations. The reviews were great. The vibe was great. The employees were great. My girl says the food was instagrammable. But we both genuinely wish we got food at McDonalds instead. We got popcorn chicken dressed, lake salt French fries and the ¿pimp slap? Mac and cheese. It was all cold, I get that it has cold stuff on it except the fries. But it was astonishingly room temp all around. I could tell the chicken would have be great hot and fresh, but it didnt have any texture besides dried out to hell; I dont think it even had salt on it, and they just lacked any kind of flavor. The special sauce was not good. Then the Mac, that was confusing - maybe good to some people, but just not my thing. The toppings were strange. Probably would have been better hot. The fries were just sad. The milkshake was decent. Nothing particularly special. I shared this one meal with my girl and the only thing that got finished was the milkshake. I hate throwing food away but it was just not worth eating. I tried to eat because I was definitely hungry, but I just couldnt eat it. And for the price, I was just.... So disappointed. Im a big believer in second chances but I couldnt possibly justify spending money here again.
Got the Notorious sandwich with the lemon garlic fries. Outstanding! Some of the other items like the Mac and Cheese and corn bread were underwhelming, but the Notorious more than made up for it. The regular fries were a hit too. I think the cilantro makes everything better. 😂 🤣
The server from Miles Winery recommended this place when we asked about a good place to eat and he was correct! We got the Notorious and the Our Hot Chicken sandwiches and they were both the tastiest chicken sandwiches we have ever had. I would drive from Pennsylvania just for this.
I’ve been here many times, and though the service is good, the food quality is highly variable. Sometimes it’s delicious, but I’ve also been served unsweetened lemonade and fries so hard they were inedible. Most recently, they gave me spoiled watermelon that smelled and tasted so rancid that i spat it out, threw the whole thing away, and then had to take out the trash because it was stinking up my kitchen. To their credit, they replaced the meal and gave me an extra treat as an apology, but it was still a serious oversight that could’ve made me very ill. I don’t know if I’ll go back.
Not good to be frank. All of the food had the same bad spice mix mixed in way too much. The corn bread was a week old and inedible (which is hard to say as a corn bread lover). The gravy is the natural choice for fried chicken but was not only drowning in the terrible spice mix but was filled with a thickener that meant the gravy did not settle from when it was served to when we left. The Mac n Cheese even had the spice mix in it that also made it inedible. The simplest thing, the French fries had that mix and were made hours earlier, the kid wouldnt even eat them.
Still waiting for food. For having having limited options at a fried chicken place, the service is unbearable - weve been here over an hour and a hald. They need a better ordering and then food delivery system for those dining in or taking out, and probably should have planned better staffing for a graduation weekend
Were visiting family in the area and ended up here as our initial choice was closed. I dont normally write reviews, but Im glad our first choice was closed. My wife is gluten free, and we make almost all our food at home to avoid exposures. Most food isnt worth bothering to review; this is special, and deserves praise for the food quality. Im a very good cook, and I wont even try to replicate this, it will just be our new special stop when were in town. Gluten free or not, do yourself a favor and eat here. Photo is the hot chicken and kimchi fries. Do it. You know you want to.
Cool concept. Good fun food. We had the chicken and waffle and a chicken sandwich. Both were good. Disappointed they were out of cornbread, but potato salad and fries were great. Maybe a shake next time.Update 6/25/22. Went back for more and was mildly disappointed this time. We got to try the cornbread this time and its ok. Fried pickles are ok. Chicken was predominantly dark meat which is fine to have a little, but almost the whole sandwich? Not our favorite.
Literally the most delicious Poutine I’ve ever had! Me and my boyfriend adore this place and keep coming back for more. You can tell the chicken is like... real chicken, it has some wonderful bits of dark meat rather than 100% white, which adds so much flavor. And the poutine... omggg, it is honestly one of the best things i’ve ever tasted. Our go to spot!!!
Im hesitant to give this place 5 stars, but it was definitely a high 4. We went on a Sunday early afternoon to eat there. Masks have to be worn in and then removed at table, which I believe is standard at this point. Food was good, I am stuffed and at about half my food. I got the popcorn chicken plain Jane, with 2 sauces- honest mustard and Alabama white. Both were tasty. The chicken was delicious, its brined I think, and then the breading is very good also. I ate quite a few pieces plain. I got the maitre fries on the side, they are lemony with herbs and butter and I thought very very good. My husband got the notorious sandwich which was massive. He said that was very good as well, but could maybe use a little less chicken as it was falling out. So on Sundays they have brunch, my daughter got a giant piece of toast with Nutella and marshamllows on it and she couldnt finish it (shes 9). So overall, everything was delicious and satisfying and quality. Which leads me to my only negative... This place is pricey as heck. We spent $68 on lunch! We did get 2 beers and a lemonade and my husband got popcorn chicken and fries too to take home.. but still. 70 bucks for lunch!!! I feel you could definitely do it cheaper, because the portions are large. The only thing that I thought twice about was the toast since it was only one piece of bread, but my kid was happy so really, who could complain. Definitely worth stopping in, service was decent and friendly but be prepared to spend some money!
Good fun find in Geneva, a gem on Linden St. I would recommend the sandwich/waffle selections, well dressed per their description on the menu, and so much more for that wow effect when served. Check out also their next door FLX Provisions: beer, wine and all things fine sourced from the Fingerlakes, hence FLX...
Ate here twice during a stay in Geneva. Thought the chicken was really good. Also enjoyed the different flavor options for sauces. Beer selection is quite good for a small place. Didnt care for the taste of a milkshake I had.Note for people ordering waffles, they are cornmeal based, I really liked it, but a kid looking for a sweet waffle might be disappointed.
F.L.X Fry Bird was phenomenal! They have the best fried chicken in the fingerlakes region and quiet possibly in all of NY State! It was seasoned just right all the way down to the bone. Their honey mustard is excellent. My husband and I shared half a bird and fries. I had the Dressed Chix Sammie and my husband had the Plain Jane on a waffle and every bite was delicious! The cake shake was also fantastic! Its like a birthday party for your mouth! They give you the option of chocolate or rainbow sprinkles but I chose rainbow all the way because its not a party without rainbow sprinkles. The staff was friendly and helpful! Tonight was our first visit and we will be back again!!! For sure someplace to write home to your Momma about!
Pretty yummy! Great for a cheat day. My daughters popcorn chicken was kind of dry, and the little little kids said their chicken was spicy, so if you have small kids, keep in mind that the chicken is seasoned. I thought it was delicious and didnt seems spicy, but I dont have kid-tastebuds. Sandwiches were really good.
The chicken in the family meal was tasty, but the coating was different, rather hard, spicy, and very greasy. The mac and cheese side dish was a good-sized portion - suggestion: order 2 if you have 4 people. It had a sharp taste to it and the pasta wasnt cooked all the way - rather crunchy and chewy. If you are planning on carry-out, be sure to get all of your side dishes before you leave - they didnt put our salad in the bag. Actually, it was our 3rd choice anyway - they were out of most other sides although it was right at dinner time, not late at night, on a Thursday. Final note: we must have met the staff on a rough night - not a smile one any of the 3 people we saw and it sure seemed like an inconvenience to answer the phone to take an order and to greet customers on arrival. Not going back. :(
The chicken with watermelon is pretty delicious! The serving was enough for sharing but Im happy to have ordered my own plate. The bourbon slush was okay but Id order something different the next time. There is outdoor seating and the staff was very covid safe inside and outside. Their staff was very friendly too...so nice!
You have never had fried chicken like this before! Their smoked buffalo dipping sauce for their popcorn chicken is absolutely killer! The smack & cheese I ordered as a side was amongst some of the best that Ive ever had. If youre in Geneva and have a hankering for fried chicken, stop at this place, you will not be disappointed!
It’s a pretty small place so it could get packed at peak times but the popcorn chicken was good and the collard greens side was excellent and the drink selection is excellent when you consider you can bring stuff in from FLX Provisions next door. I’d come back next time I’m in Geneva and need a fried chicken fix.
Wow. This was the best fried chicken Ive had in a long time...Crunchy and tasty outside and tender inside... With some fat and grease to bring it all together. The kids, who are typically happy with Wendys chicken nuggets, even said mmmm... This is REAL chicken. The sandwiches all sounded delicious, but I picked the Notorious and was really happy I did... Very unique flavors, with a slice of watermelon and cilantro and a good dose of spice... Perfect compliment to the awesome chicken. We all loved the fries, but I actually enjoyed the collards salad even more... Im not usually too fond of cold greens which are typically served warm, but it was delicious and really fresh. And if this wasnt all gut-busting enough, the shakes were incredible, too... Just thick enough to be really creamy, but still drinkable with a straw. The staff was also super friendly, and I really dug the classic hip hop being played (even if the wife was concerned that it wasnt all kid-appropriate)... It really fit the whole vibe.Unexpectedly one of the best meals we had on our Finger Lakes vacation... we wished wed gone earlier than on our way out of town... Though at least we tried it out before we left. Its now on our must-do list for our next visit.
Got the popcorn chicken, mac n cheese, and fries. Everything came out cold. Chicken is too much breading and very bland. The fries were dry. The mac n cheese wasnt kinda hard and tasted cheap and watery. Really disappointed. The staff were really nice and understanding. I wanted them to just remove the sides (since I didnt eat it) and pay for the rest but they deducted everything from the bill. Hopefully I just caught them on a bad day...
Hands down the best chicken sandwich I have ever had! I went with the K-Style, Kimchi, Miso Mayo and Cilantro. WOW! It was amazing! SO crispy! SO flavorful! The service was excellent as well. I live over an hour from here and I will absolutely go out of my way to try some of their other flavor combinations!
Driving around downtown Geneva looking for lunch, the smell of fried chicken caught me and we had to stop.I got chicken and waffles in their signature hot style and it was great! The chicken was crunchy outside and tender inside. The signature hot style had Sriracha honey and really good pickles with it, as well as a chili oil that had a szechuan flavor to it.The sides could be their own meals, poutine and loaded mac and cheese were both awesome. Menu was a bit confusing for my mom, but the staff were super friendly and helped her order.
This was the worst experience of our summer travels. The food was not edible and the service was terrible. They screwed up our order and wanted to argue about it. We ordered lemonade which was mostly water and asked for sugar to add some flavor. Waiter told us they didnt have and sugar! Thick chicken coating meant you couldnt even bite it.
Maybe it was an off night but this is not good fried chicken. Chicken sandwich was like a giant greasy nugget with brown meat mixed in. It definitely wasnt cut from a single piece of breast. I dont care how much stuff they pile on it, its still sub-par. Service wasnt good either. For what they charge I wasnt impressed at all!
Great place to go for gluten free! Friendly staff that seemed knowledgeable of celiac/gluten free needs. Almost everything on the menu was gluten free.It was wonderful to be able to get some things that are difficult to find gluten free like fried chicken, fried pickles, and poutine. The food we got was delicious! I had the Notorious popcorn chicken with Matrine fries and fried pickles. And my Fiancee had the plain popcorn chicken and poutine. The portions were good sized and we didnt wait long for our food and milk shakes. Albeit I wouldnt call the fried chicken pieces popcorn chicken, they were much to big, more like small tenders. They did screw up our milkshake order at first, however they swiftly apologized and made us new ones and told us to keep the screw ups so we gave them to our kids when we got home and they quite enjoyed them as well. The atmosphere was lovely and the restaurant was adorable. This will definitely be a place we will return to if/when were ever in the area again.
First impression: the staff are friendly, ordering is easy, beer selection is right in front of you (and non-alcoholic drinks). Take a seat after ordering and wait for your food... I think we waited less than 10 minutes for 3 meals. What we got: Chicken and waffle K-style, chicken sandwich K-style, and a Notorious chicken sandwich. We shared a side of fries. The K-style (kimchi, miso mayo, cilantro) is deliciously spicy and savory. The Notorious is a beautiful round slice of watermelon, honey sriracha, chipotle mayo and cilantro and it is the best thing Ive ever had. Paired it with a sour melon gose on a hot day on June and I had the time of my life. The watermelon was sweet and juicy and a great contrast to the spicy condiments. The breading on the chicken stayed crispy even as the watermelon juice and sauces soaked into it. I cannot truly put into words just how much I enjoyed this experience. Before we left, we ordered a Black Cherry Dream milkshake and it was the best kind of chilly and sweet to follow up a meal like that.If you go to the Waterloo Outlets or anywhere near FLX Fry Bird, its worth the trip. I highly recommend it.
Overall, my husband, kids and I were not impressed. We did enjoy the Poutine, but the chicken was dry and the breading lacked flavor. I think we went in with high expectations, and unfortunately, the food did not meet the expectations. My daughter took one bite of her Mac and Cheese and would not eat anymore and she wasn’t a fan of her chicken sandwich either. Her comment about the sandwich was, “it’s not bad.” I think that sums up my feeling about it. It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great either.I like the overall concept of simple food, but I was expecting more along the lines of Chicken Guy (have eaten there at Disney Springs). The chicken was not as good as Chicken Guy, and my daughter said it didn’t come close to Tully’s chicken. Maybe we just went on an off day for them, but I don’t think we will be going again. We made the hour long trip to try it out.
Pineapple sangria does not to be frozen. Make it a sangria!!!! Would taste so much better! Way, way too much hard breading!! Chicken delicious!! After I peeled off everything . Fries, yonk, yonk! Not crispy, bland. Go to crinkle fries, theyll taste better!! Sorry but not my fave place. Pricey !
My parents and I absolutely loved what we had here. Delicious fried chicken and I am obsessed with the French fries! I had the Notorious on a waffle and it was excellent. Everyone was working so hard and was super nice accommodating. The woman who took my order and made my margarita made sure to check to see if I liked my drink. We will definitely be back as we don’t have anything quite like this in Victor. Definitely a nice treat and something different for us.
My issue is being handled by Mike, who was the manager at the time I had my issue. Basically, had 4 different items on my ticket and 2 were incorrect and 1 I did not even get. Of the items we did get not impressed with popcorn cauliflower which is just big pieces of cauliflower deep fried, no breading and very greasy. The lettuce wrap is pretty much just a deconstructed salad. I really had my hopes high about this place and hope they will be better next time I go.
I love the idea of this place. With being gluten-free I was excited to try everything. Service was awsome and super helpful. The only recommendations I could give to improve my next vist would be that I wish my food was warmer my cheese was not even melted on my chicken and waffles little sad. Took most home so I can heat it up more. I also wish they had a little better quality of plastic silverware not even strong enough to cut the chicken and waffles. Made it hard to dive in and enjoy. Best of luck.tThanks for an enjoyable step in time.
Disappointed. The kimchi on the Korean-style fries is so sour that it tastes bitter. I had to mix it with the seasoning on the fried chicken to make it less unpleasant. For a group that prides itself in the excellence of ingredients, it doesn’t live up to the hype. The chicken is good but not that special, and you only get to have a few bites due to the small portion.
Customer service was great and the facility is pretty, but that’s about all you’re getting here. The food is bland and tasteless, if you think this chicken is good then you’ve never had good fried chicken. I lived in South Carolina for 10 years and travelled all over the southeast, I know good chicken, and this is not it. If you like over-breaded chicken, hard pasta in your mac & cheese, and EVERYTHING to taste like oil, then this may be the place for you.
My wife and I decided to try this out today. The one star I’m required to leave is for the service which was the only redeeming quality. I ordered the southern chicken waffle with a side of Mac and cheese. My noodles were still hard and crunchy at parts, the cheese sauce just tasted like oil. My chicken was literally just breading. The couple pieces of chicken I did find were so dry my knife didn’t want to go through them. The collard greens were bitter and undercooked. The gravy was completely tasteless and watery. I literally threw my entire meal in the garbage after picking it apart so I could at least enjoy the waffle itself which had unmelted cold deli pepper jack cheese slices on it. I’m just puzzled by the entire thing honestly. We’ve ate all over and are very simply pleased but this was a complete bust for us both.
Nearly everything is gluten free! The food is amazingly well made and the staff was super friendly. We ate way too much. The only thing I would change is a different brand of gluten free Mac for the macaroni and cheese. The kind they use isnt as good as some we have had. The cheese sauce is cheesy and garlicky and rich.
Well I gave this place another shot and it was no better. Over priced fries in a pool of oil. And the fried pickles seemed to have other fried pieces in it like friend onion strings or something. The pictures make it look god but don’t be fooled. Spent $50 to eat out of paper boats!
Some of the best food I’ve had, and it’s gluten free! My partner has celiac so he doesn’t have the opportunity to eat out often and it’s usually a stressful experience when we do. Fry bird allowed him to be comfortable while eating amazing food! We will definitely be back!
Hands down, best damn fried chicken Ive ever had. Juicy, flavorful, crunchy skin with that breading. Oooooffff. Prices are well worth it. Wife got a birthday cake milkshake and that was the cherry to our dining experience. Kudos to the staff. Yall have a gold mine in that kitchen. All in all, Ill be back for more. Not a doubt in my mind.
I had high hopes for this with all the great ratings. I walked out completely unsatisfied and with regret that I even wasted the calories on the bit of food that I did try to eat. I wasnt thrilled with the cut of chicken, the roll was stale, way overdressed with mayo, slaw was soggy and the fries were just oily. The potatoes in the potato salad were so grainy and gross - I couldnt bring myself to continue chewing. I dont like writing bad reviews but there is nothing that I enjoyed here.
What a great place! Stopped in here for lunch today and impressed on multiple levels. The food was delicious- chicken sandwich was crunchy and paired excellently with the kimchi on top. Paired with a draught beer from FLX Culture House elevated the whole meal. Staff were attentive, friendly, and mindful. All in all, a great experience... will definitely be back.
AMAZING potato salad and fries! WAY too much Sriracha on the chicken sandwich and in the mac. We would have preferred to add extra if we wanted more vs not being able to eat it bc there was SO SO MUCH of it. But now we know and next time we will just need sure to ask for that to be light.
This place is very good. Excellent food prices excellently. The chicken dredge is crispy but not crunchy, but it is delicious nonetheless. The notorious sandwich was definitely my favorite, and my dad ordered the K-style (Korean style) with some legit kimchi.Service is ok (maybe a little slow) but an excellent addition to the landscape in Geneva either way
So I just left a glowing a review for FLX Provisions in which I mentioned Fry Bird and how wonderful it is but felt the need to write a review here also. I just loved my whole FLX experience, what a fantastic organization. So the food - oh my gosh just perfect fried chicken. And I am not a fan of fried chicken but there’s is just fantastic. The sides too - not your typical fried chicken sides. K-town (kimchi mix) is delish! I ended up buying the spice for the chicken next door FLX Provisions during a wine tasting (also a phenomenal experience & highly recommended). It was our first visit to the Finger Lakes back in March and should have written a review back then but better late than never. Hope to be back someday soon when all this madness is over!
Delicious food with unique twists on the classic comfort food, chicken and waffles! Super friendly and helpful staff. Nice selection of specialty beers in an attached shop and of course we enjoyed our boozy slushees! Only draw back is limited hours and not a lot of seating but worth it! Will be a returning customer!
Usually every time I come here I get great service. I order the usual, Notorious on a waffle. Well this time my meal had no watermelon so I asked about the watermelon and the lady said they didn’t have any and simply said sorry. How about telling me beforehand that you’re out of watermelon so I can order something else that will have all the listed ingredients. 😒
Food is good, order at the counter. Many creative ways of serving chicken! I will eat there again. My only gripe: they are asking for the tip when you pay at the counter. Its a bad trend, why? There is no service, they dont wait the tables and you havent eaten your food yet when asked for the tip.
Delicious! 20% of the timeDon’t get the milkshakes unless they have alcohol in them. And If you likeDry wegmans chicken fried breaded with curry or somethingCome here to the fancy new fried chicken place doing to minimum to sell to a captive audience with little optionsWhen it’s good it’s ok. When it’s bad I throw out a full $20 meal, just did that for the last time and I’m freaking starving
Wow. This place is outstanding! My husband and I stopped in on a rainy Thursday afternoon, and the staff were smiling, friendly, and attentive. I got one of their special sandwiches and my husband ordered a buffel-ish sandwich. I also ordered a boozy watermelon slushee. I am not exaggerating when I say they were all out of this world scrumptious! I also tasted the rhubarb bourbon slushee - SO tasty! We happily chowed down in their down-to-earth atmosphere. Definitely check this place out for eat-in or take out! We also had one of their ‘notorious’ sandwiches - still my favorite! A real gem in Geneva NY! Thank you flx frybird! We are will most certainly be back!
Food was really good, although after we left and my wife showed me the bill we got overcharged it should have been about $8 less. $10 sandwich $10 popcorn chicken two beers which total $11 and a side of fries came to $43 should have been about $35. My wifes fault for not saying anything. But I love the food Ill go back again. This time Ill check the bill lol! This is an add on.Maddie from FLX contacted me first thing this morning and we communicated back and forth about the issue. It was only $4 and it was a side that got misordered. My point... Great customer service wonderful people, we will be back often! Thank you!Changed to a 5 star review
An employee was in the prep area of a food station with black gloves on and a mask down around her neck talking to another employee (who was wearing a mask). The food station is directly behind the cash register. This employee was using her gloved hands to eat French Fries from a bowl. The bowl she was eating from was being used to season the French Fries (for all orders) after they came out of the fryer. The employee ate 3-5 French Fries as I watched with her gloved hands putting the food into her mouth and then back into the bowl. She then neither changed her gloves nor cleaned the bowl as fries were made for other customers. I was disgusted and appalled that an employee of this establishment would do such thing especially with a pandemic happening. Such reckless disregard for others‘ health and safety.
I had dinner here last night and the sandwich was delicious, though hard to eat as others have mentioned. I was very disappointed with the mac and cheese which tasted just like the frozen mac and cheese you can get from walmart (which I also threw out recently). But hey, its a fried chicken place, not a mac and cheese place so I can forgive that
This is some proper good chicken, and boy howdy is it hard to eat. It has the problem of the sandwich requiring you to unhinge your jaw to get around the whole thing, and unlike a burger it cant really be compressed. A big chunk of chicken makes a good meal, it doesnt necessarily make a good sandwich.
FLX Fry Bird has mastered fried chicken. Super crispy, well-seasoned, and the sauces...oh, the sauces! We got the Notorious Chicken and Waffles and the Dressed Chicken sandwich with their secret sauce *chef’s kiss*. Added some Maitre fries (lemon, garlic and parsley) and fried pickles, and we had ourselves a delicious meal! Old school, fun bottled sodas. Fried Oreos. You can’t go wrong. Highly recommend this place and we can’t wait to go back to try different toppings and sauce combos!
Stopped in for a half bird, potato salad, and mac and cheese with white bbq and house sauces. Everything was next level flavorful, especially the deeply brined chicken (guessing leftover pickle brine??), the potato salad was smoky, meaty, and herbaceous, the crust on the chicken was the star. If I had to find a negative the noodles in the Mac n cheese were a tad under. You could do some damage in the beer room next door.
Where are all the grown ups? Great food (we go a lot) but went in on a coolish Saturday night and noticed people huddled at tables on the street. I thought it seemed a bit cold to be eating outside. I found out why when I went inside. The music was was so oppressively loud that it was like being in a club. It was nearly impossible for the people we were with to hear one another even though we were standing side by side I’m sure they’d have turned it down but it was embarrassing to have to ask. To me it seemed like the staff had no empathy for diners. I don’t mind the music in general, and I know noise is subjective but you need to be able to have a conversation, right? We just gave up in the end and went somewhere else. It was disappointing and I’m really torn about saying something because It really seemed out of character for the FLX table folks who are generally fantastic, but if it were my restaurant I’d want to know.

2022-06-16Get ready to unhinge your jaw! These sandwiches are monstrous! The taste, however, did not impress as much as the size. Good but no wow as far as the chicken from us.The cook on the chicken was a little long and a bit but not terribly dry. The breading is not wheat, Im guessing corn? Which was very thick and crunchy, but were more into the thin and flaky so it wasnt a hit for us. The cauliflower was okay but not special. We didnt love the styles we got, which were the our hot chicken, and the notorious. We felt the honey was pretty overpowering and would probably personally opt to go without. I was also not a fan of the full length of cilantro herb on the notorious because they were hard to bite through and left long messy trails of sauce. Chopped cilantro of similar volume would have been a substantial improvement. (Dont get me wrong, this is not a complaint against cilantro)The secret sauce ordered as a side to the cauliflower was the favorite taste. The maitre fries we ordered were the favorite item. The fries were crispy and flavorful and delicious. Was pretty disappointed the waffle iron was broken when we went.

2022-02-05Only one word to describe the chicken: unbelievable. I am from NYC, my mother was a chef, and I fry my own chicken, but I have to say… this is an OUTSTANDING find. Possibly the best chicken sandwich in the country, by far the best in NY. The fries were phenomenal, the sauces were awesome, and the chicken… you know. The waffle is pretty good for a GF waffle, but the chicken is the real shining star. Glass shatteringly crispy. Kudos, FLX.

2022-03-07Id had this saved in my Want-to-go-tos for a long time and also have not left a review in far too long, but...I was here and several other places in Geneva on Saturday and this was BY FAR my favorite place that I stopped at! As a front-end/order-taker at my job as well, I admired Beths patience, service, welcoming, accommodating, introducing me to the menu and her recommendations! She deserves a raise and all the best-she provided the best service of anywhere all day and is an exquisite front-of-the-house person. The Korean-themed Chicken Sandwich, standard Lake Fries, and Fried Pickles are what I had, and they were as amazing as leftovers as they were when cooked fresh! Cant wait to be back and thank you for a great day and lunch!

2022-02-05In the words of my very picky NYC raised friend.... AHHHHH UNBELIEVABLE. Glass shattering CRUNCH.The chicken is dope. And as a wife of a Celiac, it was awesome to go somewhere that GF is not an afterthought, but an intentional addition to the menu. Proving that its not only easy to be inclusive, but frickin delicious.Waffles... GFMac and Cheese.... GFFried Chicken.... GFJust a nice, chill environment with some dope chicken.

2022-02-20So so super yummy. We were passing through on our way back to rochester and stopped here for a late lunch. The manager was wonderful and the service was fast but careful. I got the waffles with Buffalo chicken, corn relish, scallions and blue cheese. My partner got the waffles with chili honey, parsley, and YES—WATERMELON. It looks like a tomato in the picture, but let me tell you, it was so juicy and sweet and the combo with the salty from the chicken and the herbiness from the parsley was DIVINE. We also split a Nutella-malt milkshake and that was delicious as well. Highly recommend and I’m looking forward to trying the sister location in rochester. They also have classic Fiz soda’s we got the cola which was a great addition to the pallet. I didn’t get a picture of the potato salad, but it was quality, big chunks of potatoes, not overly dressed, and spiced to perfection with a topping of cayenne, salt, and other desirable seasoning.

2022-04-30Great upscale fast casual take on fried chicken. I love that most of the menu is gluten free. It makes enjoying this meal a lot more fun because most fried chicken doesn’t use GF ingredients.A simple concept. You choose between popcorn chicken (like small chicken nuggets), a chicken sandwich waffle sandwich or a salad. There are some veggie options like cauliflower bites and black bean falafel as well in case you need them. From there you pick your sauces and toppings from a pre set menu or customize your own. Sides available too to make it a meal.I had the popcorn chicken, k style, I held back on the Mayo. The chicken is delicious, not too greasy and the outside was very crispy. I enjoyed the fresh cilantro and Kim chi toppings which offered a combo of fresh and spicy picked flavors. A different take on fried chicken. I also had the Mac and cheese which was pretty good, very creamy and a yummy rich cheese sauce. Both portions were pretty generous and I had enough for a 2nd meal. The chicken reheated crisped up pretty nicely and was quite good for a leftover. I will add that my significant other tried the smoked Buffalo sauce. It was so heavy on the liquid smoke that it kind of wrecked his sandwich. It might just be our opinion but you might want to sample it before you douse your food with it.Plenty of indoor and some outdoor seating as well. This is definitely a better sit in than take out food but take out is available.A great way to grab a quick meal while in FLX

2022-06-06It was late on a Sunday and most places were closed/closing, we thought lets try a grocery store there were empty spots where food should be everywhere. We left to go to Fry Bird and were blown away. You guys saved us last night! Thank you! Cant wait to go back!

2022-06-13It was a pretty slow Sunday night with nobody in the restaurant. The waitress didnt seem to want to be there as we dragged through our order. When we figured out what we wanted to eat she then tells us they do not have any waffles... since their buns are not gluten free and not wanting lettuce that didnt leave much else but popcorn. We each ordered dressed with a side of fries which is additional. I asked for her recommendation on a spicy sauce and she mumbled something and I said okay. It turns out what she had mumbled was actually Mac and cheese which was neither spicy or a sauce.... both the Mac and cheese and fries has a puddles of oil at the bottom of the cardboard tray. The popcorn was decent but a bit too much batter without chicken. The fries were good if not for the amount of oil saturating them. The worst part is the dreaded screen to tip a cashier for service you have not yet received on cashing out. I would reverse that tip in a heartbeat and nothing was above and beyond of the service to receive it.

2021-09-05Portions were very generous. The service was great. The potato salad was a little over seasoned. The sandwich was good, the poutine was great. The popcorn chicken was a bit dry. We will be back.

2022-02-14The absolute best experience for someone with Celiacs! These people know their stuff about gluten free food and everything tastes amazing. Seriously dont know how they make their chicken and waffles - you cannot tell the difference. Best chicken and waffles anywhere. Also they have booze and quite a selection. What more could you want
