Fogo de Cho Brazilian Steakhouse in other cities:
Brazilian steakhouse is quite the experience. Amazing salad bar and sides that will fill you up before the meats come but still worth the try. The cheesy bread and plantains are must haves. When your coaster is on green they keep putting meat in your plate until you cant eat anymore or give up and turn it back to red.The grilled cheese with honey is so amazing that it might have been better than the meats but I digress. The top 3 cuts of meat for me were the filet mignon, lamb picanha and the beef picanha. This place is very pricey but worth the try. Come hungry and leave in a stretcher.
The awesomeness of this place is indescribable. Very chill vibes with professional staff. Our server was a top notch as well as everyone we interacted with. The food will take you to the sky, bring back and lift up again. This was my second visit to this restaurant but the first time in New York. So I expected the high quality since it was provided to me in the Boston location and I got it. The LOUIS XIII Cognac was a cherry on the top of the evening and we’ll definitely be back. Thanks!
Showed up early for our reservation and they had us wait until the rest of our party arrived. My brother had to show his vaccination card twice because the lady that checked, left her station and another lady came and asked for it again. They should really keep track or share information instead of inconveniencing guests. The buffet was nice. They had rice, beans, soups, salads, jalapeños, pickles, some kind of sweet banana bread, etc. They brought mashed potatoes, bread and yucca fries to our table. All the meat was juicy and the servers were very attentive. You need to ask for the sauces. They brought us chimichurri sauce, A1, and horseradish sauce. They also offered bbq sauce which we declined. They have all day happy hour drinks and the Malbec was good with the steak. If you sign up before for email notifications they send you an offer for a complimentary dessert. This place was very elegant and perfect for a special occasion but my brother said there are similar places in Queens that are more affordable.
This place never disappoints! The food is always consistently great and if you dont feel like shoveling delicious meat down your throat you can always order off the menu. The customer service is usually top notch. Tonight I had one rude waitress with an attitude but I have been here many times and this is the 1st time that happened. The multiple other waiters were more than helpful and made up for her. The garlic shrimp is amazing! The cocktails are so good too! This place is a must... they the lava cake for dessert!
It was honestly the most Wonderful dining experience Ive ever had; the staff were all so kind and welcoming, and All the food was just So Fresh and Delicious and just seriously Amazing! 🤩 I Definitely look forward to coming back with family and friends as well as to plan a special event there in the future; it truly was the just the Best restaurant I think Ive Ever been too 😍👍🏼🥰
Great service. Great staff. Tight spacing but you wont feel it. Very cozy, well designed space to give the feeling of spaciousness and great ambience. Ordered a variety of entrees and all good. Pastas are well cooked, served right. You will not be disappointed. Compliments to the kitchen staff and wait staff
Dining at Fogo is truly an unprecedented culinary experience. The food is so fresh that you can eat for hours and still feel incredible. The staff is not only so accommodating and attentive but you can truly feel how much they love their job and take pride in their work. (They even teach you Portuguese words throughout the experience!)I cannot recommend Fogo de Chao enough and I want to quickly mention that their Director of Sales, Benjamin Maddy, makes it so easy to plan an exceptional event. Fogo is our new go-to for all our dining and private event needs!
I love this place! I went on my birthday last week. Excellent food, very helpful staff, different dining experience. I even got the Wagyu steak, I highly recommend getting it! I also recommend trying their Caipirinha Drinks, like the Strawberry Hibiscus and Passionate Caipirnha. Will definitely visit again.
I was blessed to attend this space for a celebratory dinner this weekend. It was the first time for all the guests so we were very excited. Despite transportation issues causing our arrival times to be after the reservation date, it was still honored soon as all parties arrived! (Thats a gift in itself). All guests opted for The Churrasco ExperienceWhats so interesting is the atmosphere was so inviting that we really were present in the moment, and only took one photo at the end before leaving, because we were so into the one of a kind experience of food serving and overall hospitality. The quality of food from the salad bar to the meat varieties was superb. I literally tried all I could and everything was truly a delight. For my dessert choice (always look at that menu first), I chose the papaya cream: a perfect balance of rich and sweet to balance out all the meat options in my opinion. The hospitality, given the amount of business and tasks needed to be performed, was pretty solid.Aside from the confusion on processing the bill and wait time to receive change, (due to what I perceived as protocol or maybe a chain of command scenario), Id highly recommend you go!It truly is a nice venue with top quality food that allows may inspire you to just be present without using your phone the whole night.Im so sorry I have no photos of the food or space to share, but that should tell you just how enticing it was!
We order a private room with the assistance of Benjamin J Maddy. Benjamin was so helpful and very responsive. He was very professional, explained the process well and was very responsive and always available to answer questions. The restaurant and private room were amazing. The food was so delicious. The variety of salads and first dishes in amazing. The service, the environment, the meat all was just perfect. Thank you so much for making our evening so special. WE were definitely thinking when will be the next time we return
The Fogo experience is amazing. You leave the restaurant full but with great taste. The only thing is that some servers are rude. We were tourists in NY who wanted to just eat after sightseeing the whole day. So, the best that a server can do is at smile be kind and smile. We wanted to take pictures of all meat, but one server was nothing but really rude. I still have the video with me. I obviously recommended the restaurant to my friends, especially those who are planning on going to NY but I told them to be careful with servers cause you never know!
It was ok food for the price they was charging my mom didnt get her food everyone that was with our group didnt get there proper bill for there meal it was mixed up it was too crowded no distancing everyone was so close that you could join there dinner without moving you couldnt even turn thats how close they were sitting but the manager did a great job with the several issues we where having
First time at this establishment and we were seated within a few minutes based on our reservation. Once seated, we waited over 20 minutes for the waitress to return despite numerous attempts to get her attention. I eventually lost patience and spoke to the manager of the waitstaff who then promptly came to our table and took our order. As a courtesy he provided complimentary beverages. From that point forward, we were treated extremely well by our new waiter who was attentive and an obvious seasoned professional. The food from the salad bar to the meats were excellent. And the meat servers were quick and attentive. Despite the initial issue we ended the evening on a high note and would definitely recommend this restaurant based on the quality of the food and the how quickly theb situation was addressed.
Best steakhouse in NYC! I have lost count of how many times I have been there. It just gets better every time. The service and food are always a 10/10. Even though it was a full house the manager was extremely attentive to us. Highly recommend for any kind of occasion!
Took the Mrs. here for her birthday before a Broadway show. The servings of protein were absolutely fantastic. Everything seemed fresh and prepared perfectly. The service was also on point. Definitely a little on the pricey side but thats probably because we are eating in NYC.The only reason I rated it 4 stars was because of the buffet bar. That left something to be desired. I only went up there once and decided that was enough for me.Other than that it was a nice experience.
This restaurant is a Brazilian restaurant and it is beautiful in the inside. The staff are very attentive and courteous. They come around and offer u special alcoholic drinks. The Fogo Churrasco experience is when u get to experience different meats when they come to the table. The meat was good, but a little salty. So if you have high blood pressure this restaurant is not for you. My husband did enjoy it. I had the lobster and shrimp but sautéed because I didnt want it chilled. It was ok. There was a lot of oil and onions. It wasnt my best lobster and it was small. We had those 2 meals and 1 drink each $$$$. I had a coconut martini and my husband had Smoking honey. They were both good. For side dishes the experience comes with plantains, bread, and mash potatoes. I think the salad bar too, but we decided not to use.The staff did a good job bringing out my friends specially made cake. Overall it is a good experience, but I probably wont go back.
From the very beginning to the end it was an excellent experience. We were there to celebrate our anniversary. The wait staff was very attentive. The floor manager went out of his way to get us special dessert along with drinks to celebrate the occasion. Then in my haste I left my credit card on the table and the girl came up and gave it back while we were waiting for the Uber. The food was amazing!! Keep it up guys and we will definitely be back!!
Excellent ambiance in the main dining room, but seated in a low-ceiling corner of the restaurant with difficult access to other areas due to table/seat arrangement. A few of the steaks were excellent, some overly fatty cuts, some well-done when requested medium. The frequent salesmanship/up-selling was off-putting but otherwise attentive and welcome service.
We had dinner there for new year, service was great and everyone was nice and helpful. The food was good but the meat had no flavor, it needed salt. The table with sides and salads was good but Ive seen a better selection in Fogo de Chao Boston, so I was not impressed.Definitely the service was what made everything good, otherwise I would have rate it lower.
Great food but need to approach tables with different temperatures rather than just rare to medium. Drinks were strong and made w love. Will come back but only for special occasions due to crowd and closeness of tables. Servers are stressed they deserve better treatment from managers so they don’t work so tired
An exceptional restaurant that will not put a knot in your wallet. There is the full experience, you get every single grilled meat you could think of. Servers walk around with skewed meat. There is more than 10 options. I just had the pan seared salmon with asparagus. But the restaurant gives you complimentary mashed Potatoes, bread with cheese, and sweet plantains. The drinks were sweet but not that strong. The staff were kind, polite and always offering their service. A must go back!
Highly recommend this spot! The steak I had has to be the best medium rare steak I’ve had in a long time. The ambience and service was really great, especially my server Christian! Super down to earth and always making sure my date and I were doing well. Will definitely visit again soon!
This place is simply Amazing! The service is five 🌟 and food is delectable. Chis is the Manager and he was great. His people skills was on point, his conversation was good, and he made us feel so welcomed and comfortable. The atmosphere was so comfortable And They even assist with parking. I would recommend this place for a great time!
Great food and a date night setting. 2 stars taken away due to the hostess attempt to sit my partner and I next to the restroom, in a nearly empty restaurant. We went yesterday (4.13.2022) for our 6yr anniversary. Our reservation was at 6p and we arrived early, around 5:30p and the restaurant had nearly every table available. The older female hostess tried to put us right next to the bathroom. I asked to move further over with no problem but she really tried it. I worked in restaurants for about 10yrs and if you are a decent human being, the bathroom table is usually the last resort, or last table you seat. But aside from that minor issue, food and drinks were great!
It took a short while to get to our table but once me and my father got to the table, the experience was nothing short of amazing. The ambience of the restaurant fit with the place and the food was very good though some pieces of meat was a bit too salty. However they more than made up for it with their tres leche cake! The servers were all really nice and courteous to us and I cant wait to go back for their tomahawk steak and more tres leche 😁
Weve eaten in many Brazilian steak houses across and out of the country. The general meats here were the best weve had. The lamb was probably the best I ever had in any restaurant. The top sirloin and ribeye were nothing short of excellent. The time between meat servings was also excellent. We actually had to turn our cards over a couple of times to give us a chance to eat what we got, which very rarely is an issue. The drink service was oddly slow. We had to ask for refills each time even though most of us had empty glasses. But the meat frequency was so much better than average, I couldnt knock it for that. The chicken drumsticks had a strange flavor that we didnt like. The filet was nothing special. We enjoyed the other steak cuts much more. Kids under 12 were cheaper.
If you like meat, that’s the place to go in NYC. Beautiful setting, excellent and well trained staff, good wine list with fair price and… lots and lots of juicy, tender high quality Meat. Eat as much as you like for an affordable set price. A large variety of side dishes is offered in format of a huge buffet with fresh and tasty products (rice, beans, salads, fries and sweets. They could improve this buffet to get a 5 stars
I liked the placed, didnt hate it. I also wouldnt return again. Found this place randomly for a place to eat on Valentines Day last minute with the hubby. I got the last reservation by luck I guess. We arrived at 6:45 for our reservation and we were brought all the way downstairs to our table which is very close to other people but its Valentines Day. Its packed, what do we really expect? We sit down and our waiter begins to explain the menu. We have to ask to be explained to it to us twice, we still were a little unclear about what was offered. Had it been explained a little better I probably wouldnt have gotten the buffet style meal. All in all, staff is great. Friendly. However the way the buffet style meat extravaganza was set up isnt the most organized. We got our sides/ salads at the bar but my plate was a complete mess. The people kept coming at different times and Im talking about like one minute there was steak being served and then 15 minutes later another meat. Until another table complained about the lack of rotation in meats and then we were being served more consistently. It seems like a good idea but I wouldnt return. Food was mediocre in my opinion. Steak was super raw. And I get it, people like it different temperatures but Im talking about it might as well be sliced fresh off the cow blood and all raw. Even my hubby who enjoys Medium cooked meat told me it was way to raw for him. I mean I got turned off at my rice that was soaked in blood just minutes after getting a couple of steak slices. Im talking bright red raw slices of steak. Lamb was over cooked and burnt. Chicken was ok. The best part was probably the fried cheese and that says a lot. I wouldnt not recommend this place but I would not return here willingly. They need to improve the system they have, its very messy in my opinion. We did meet some very nice people next to us though and drinks were tasty.
Food was great but Service awful. We spend over 100$ per person there and still they can’t wait to get rid of us. It’s like they want to be a high class restaurant with a fast food timing culture. There were no other people waiting outside, many tables were empty so no reason for rushing that hard. Our main service person asked us 3 times in 10 minutes if we wish for something else to drink. No chatting, no relaxing wanted there. That’s a pity because you leave the restaurant with a bad feeling.
Fogo nyc is awesome! It was not a meat day for me so Emily and Danica made amazing suggestions. The avocado salad was to live for!!Their cocktails are so well balanced and lovely presentation.Happy hour that you cant turn down for sure.Thank you Danica and Emily for making my experience so pleasant and enjoyable. Will see you soon!
Great place to have a big group dinner, especially with the self-checkout doohickey! We were able to split the bill across multiple cards at our table. We did the full experience with market table (salad bar). Even though we were a big group, and the restaurant was busy, they managed to keep track of our red/green cards and came by the table consistently with meat. Sometimes the meat were over- or undercooked but it was still a great meal and experience. We also enjoyed their all day happy hour!
They get so many things right here! It starts with the staff! They give you VIP treatment starting right at the door. They take great measure to keep us safe. After we checked in, a distinguished gentleman escorted us to our seats. Then he handed us to the most incredible server, Camilla. Then her fellow servers came over and greeted us. They are very excited to take care of you.I hope you bring your appetite. There is no shortage of food and drinks. An army of chefs come out with different meats on a sword. No sauce needed for the meats. The sides are for table. We all drank Caipirinhas. They have a All Day Happy Hour special for $8 on a certain drinks. Drinks are tasty and strong.
We make it to fogo several times per year when we are in bigger cities and have come to love the food and service. We were in New York to celebrate my wife’s birthday and picked fogo. The food was great as always, but the service was a big miss. We saw a server twice, once when we ordered drinks and once for the bill. Luckily I was able to catch a meat guy to get refills and fresh plates— things that have always been taken care of in the past. I brought the issues to the attention of one of the servers when I did see him to no avail. The icing on the cake is that the receipt said happy birthday x 4, and we were still charged in full for our dessert, again, something that has always been taken care of at other fogos when dining for a special occasion. Not impressed with the NYC location.
Meats were bland. Had to add salt on all but one cut. Have a bad experience upon entry as a walk in. I asked how much of a wait was told 5-10min. Went around the block to park in the lot the girl told me was discounted and walked over. When I got back she now said 45min. I told her I would wait. Then another lady came out of no where and said they were no longer accepting walk ins. I was upset at this point. Then a manager came out and sat us like 10min later. I felt like She was being discriminate. Definitely not worth the $220 me and my husband spent. Two stars because all the other waiters and servers were good to us.
This place is fancy and has wide variety of food served with excellent staff, but was so hot, no AC, so uncomfortable. As we were with baby, the whole time because of heat inside baby was crying the whole time. We dint enjoy the food. Just thought it was wrong choice we made.
I had lunch with my hubby for his birthday today and just realized that they didn’t charge for the dessert we ordered! (Key lime pie) How nice of them. I asked the waiter for special b-day cake while my hubby was away for buffet table lol and he said he will put a little candle on a cake/pie for the dessert we order. It was so sweet that they did a little decoration on the pie 😆 I didn’t realize that they didn’t charge for the pie and when I got the online receipt it said the pie was complimentary. I will definitely return with my family members in near future. Thank you for the nice food (salad buffet bar is finally re-opened and it was so fresh!) & your service, Fogo de chao ⭐️
The food and atmosphere were great, but the service really fell short. We went for a Sunday brunch and got there when the restaurant opened so they just werent ready for us. The breakfast bar wasnt open and my wife sat there waiting for food while we all ate. That lasted for the better part of 20 minutes. I was close to done eating before she even started. What a disappointment. Normally I like Fogo, but they really let us down.
We came for the brunch/churrasco and it did not disappoint. There was an excellent selection for the salad bar brunch options including ommlettes, fresh fruit, rice beans etc. The selections of meats brought to our table were all delicious. It was a great experience and we would come again. The staff was courteous and friendly and kept our table free of clean and regularly checked on us for drinks.
First time at Fogo de Chao, really impressed with the food the service by our server for the day, Santa! She never failed to ensure that everything was enjoyable for us and we had a really great time with her impeccable service. Would definitely recommend anyone to come, looking forward to my next time here!
I would give more stars if I could.Found this restaurant randomly on google after our Moma session and was a bit sceptic at first, especially when I saw the price of the lunch menu (18$ for a buffet + 10-11$ if you want to add meat cuts - all you can eat). However when they served the meats plus all the side dishes, we were blown away by the quality of the meat. Everything was fresh and the meat was perfectly cooked. The staff were really friendly, nice ambiance and great location (just in front of the Moma). Highly highly recommend !
Quality was atrocious. Both wife and I ended up with food poisoning. Expected much better than this from such an acclaimed spot. Customer service was great, but food was atrocious. It would be either too salty or too hard to chew. First and last time. Texas de Brazil was a much better food experience.
Food was too good to take pictures. Please go for the experience when you get there. No need to go get a fixed plate unless you really want to. The lamb chops are devastatingly good - itll rock your world. The sirloin cuts are amazing as well. All I can say is that its well worth it!
Disappointed. Been in many different Brazilian restaurants and I usually love it. But this restaurant is all looks. First front desk was rude and snobby. Lack of customer service. Told us there was no tables available and the place half empty. So we end up going to the bar. Order churrasco and few burgers medium well done and medium rare. After 35 minutes we get the food. All 3 burgers are well done. The churrasco was just flat, Plus it doesn’t come with a side you just eating a piece of meat with no flavor. Premium price for fast food quality just terrible
If you like the show Man vs Food, then this spot should be awesome for you. Im not a huge steak person, I mean I like it but Im not one of those give me a nice Steak as my last meal kind of guy. Me and my party of 5 ordered the non stop meat and salad bar. Lots of Bacon wrapped everything, if thats what youre into. I ordered the Pan Seared Salmon meal separately and it was great. The Salad Bar was ok. We sat 2 flights up so we only went to the salad bar once. Maybe would have revisted or saw if they brought out new sides if we were closer but we packed pretty thoroughly the initial run.Nice ambience. Good music. Id definitely go again.
Everything about fogo is great. I’ve always loved this place. Usually I go to the location in Manhattan. Have been to other branches as well. The quality of food is always on point. Service is always great too. And for what you’re getting it’s honestly a great price. Definitely recommended this.
I love fogo! The lamp chops seemed Alot smaller then when I went to the location in San Francisco, but either way, food was amazing. We came during Fathers day and had a reservation at 1130aStaff was very friendly. We had so many waitresses (that wasnt serving meat) that 8 could not get their names. But Im glad they were all consistent, and worked together providing such amazing service and an experience!
Went there for fathers day dinner. Unfortuantely will have to rate this location for over doing with the seasoning (salt). Also believe location may be cheap when with a group for their Banana + Mash potato. The price for all the meats includes them in the price per person. Unfortunately it seems they will put 1 for likely 4 per group so that the use is minimum. Doing that made me grab a small portion as to allow others to have some. Basically its a portion per table.
Service was good but $75/pp USD to endlessly sample small strips of what is most likely of USDA choice meats? No thank you. Most of the time the servers only cut off the fatty ends of whatever meat theyre serving. This is a perfect spot if you want to try strips of badly cooked and flavorless supermarket grade meats.
The meat was good but the crowd didn’t feel sophisticated to me for the prices charged. There was a lady pushing a cart around with a bottle of some kind of alcohol on top of it. She was trying to sell whatever that was… so low class. The host was rough. I felt like I was at McDonalds.
Good place, seems to have picked up in business for sure. They were able to accommodate us a bigger table any time we went there, as they do have a tendency of sitting larger parties at tight tables. This time was no different. One thing they can work on, is disturbing the guest with too many unnecessary sales of other promotions. Like expensive cognac, or shrimp cocktails, etc... Let us eat in peace without too many interruptions. Besides the sales pitching, the food and atmosphere was awesome, as usual!
This was me and my familys first time at Fogo celebrating Mother’s Day and although it was really busy and there was a wait time we still had a very pleasant time. Natalia made sure that we got all the meats we wanted to try out and made sure we only left completely satisfied! First and not last time, will be back for more
Really wanted to like this restaurant, especially based off of the many positive reviews. Really chill and pretty, clean ambiance with great modern house/lounge music playing. The staff was friendly and professional. However my horrible experience here, started with the cold temperature at our table for the entire dinner- not acceptable, especially during winter season. The churrasco experience was TERRIBLE. The meat cuts were ALL cooked medium rare, it was about a 10-20 minute wait in between different cuts. Churrasco servers took forever to rotate to our table. We did not even get to eat all the different cuts that were on the churrasco menu. Salad bar and dessert were honestly the best part of this dinner. Safe to say my fiance and I will not be returning.
I’ve been to many Fogo de Chao restaurants around the country and while this one may have had the very best steak, it had some of the worst service. I was treating my husband and his best friend to dinner and I arrived first inside with the friend, as my husband was parking the car. The hostess never offered to take our coats or anything and instead just demanded our vaccination cards and IDs which we provided. But then when my husband came in to join us she greeted him very differently and offered to take his coat but never checked his card or ID at all for some reason. And also let many other men pass without checking. So why were we treated so differently? Then the servers repeatedly forgot about our table and would walk by us constantly (for at least 20 minutes) without offering us any of the meats. It wasn’t until we complained about getting skipped over that we started to get adequate service. Shouldn’t be like that.
Everything was excellent. They have implemented safe and smart protection measures such as requiring masks, social distancing, temperature checks and now a team member helps you at the salad bar.The service was attentative and the food was great. My hubby enjoyed it and so did I.
Came on a crowded Saturday night - service was nonetheless excellent! Superior in fact ! Notably “Sondris” (sorry if i misspelled the name !) and Andrea ! The whole staff were nothing less of attentive ! Great food and again service was superlative ! Thank you so so much ! Definitely coming back ! There is no doubt we will be returning! Yea
Not very good.Arrived at 2:15 only to be told that the all you can eat menu wasnt available between 2 and 3 on weekends as they swapped from lunch to dinner. Wouldnt even let me into the dinning room which still had people in it, I had tobsit at the bar.No big deal. Thats on me for not checking online. Ordered some sausage and ribs from the a la cart menus, came out to $20 with an iced tea.It was bland.Ribs were tough and greasy with no smoke ring. Sausage was dry. Both suffered from a lack of salt and spices. The chimichurri was equally tasteless.Service was slow, but I cant blame the bartender, he seemed like a nice guy, they were just understaffed.Im also not a fan of the wide open decor, but thats just personal preference. For $20 its not the worst meal you can get in this neighborhood. But I cant imagine paying $50 or $80 for the all you can eat, and being served such mediocre food.
Very unfriendly “greeter” at the door. Practically turning people away from a nearly empty restaurant with bizarre questions and talk of long wait times. Dude - we are still in a pandemic and paying customers want to eat at your place! Wanted to try but I will go somewhere my business is appreciated instead.
Amazing food and drinks. Beautiful salad bar with fantastic items. Incredible meat selection. We enjoyed bacon wrapped filet mignon, house sirloin, lamb, roast pork, sausage, roast chicken, etc. Plus on gentleman kept bringing by these little squares of grilled cheese (Not the sandwich). Amazing little pillows of cheese that was grilled and caramelize I believe bc it was a bit sweet. If you are a salty sweet person, it was heaven. We left with happy bellies! Thanks Fogo! We cant wait to return!
Update: I did email these guys and silence. Nice.Food was good, and our server was a very nice guy who tried his best to make things right. wow. Just wow. At not even 6pm the bathroom had no toilet paper, no paper towels, and garbage overflowing. My daughter had to use a baby wipe as toilet paper - luckily I had one! The hostess was rude and unhelpful, as a result at least a dozen people were standing by the entrance already checked in and confused as to what to do. Our table was in the back by the server station with an obnoxious fluorescent light reminiscent of my grade school. The meat people outright ignored my 5 year old who was nicely saying “may I have some please”. We had to flag them down multiple times so they gave her some. Call the health department to look into the kitchen - if the bathrooms were left like that, I cannot even imagine the staff areas.
The churrasco experience is amazing, specially if you go for lunch its priced very reasonably (~45) given the food you get. There is a great variety that you cant really find anywhere and the buffet (feijado bar/ market) has a continental hotel vibe, its a great place to spend a few hours to have a chat while enjoying the exquisite food on your own pace. Among the meat cuts, the picanha is the standout signature meat.Besides the churrasco, the bar menu is good as well with $9 picanha burger being an absolute grab. And the drinks have a touch of brazil, like the lemonade with condensed milk (this combo surprisingly works!).
Very fun and wide selection if your doing the all you can eat, HOWEVER please do not expect all cuts if meats they offer, as they have multiple repeats of the same cuts such as sirloin versus cuts such as skirt steak, Fillet mignon, or any lamb steaks/chops. The garlic steak was ridiculously salty to the point I spit it out on my napkin , however the salad bar was a nice addition, along with the great drinks there such as the passionfruit caprinhas.(sorry if I spelled the drink wrong) if your going for a drink then look no further and 100%grab one at the bar!!
Just a beautiful experience. I recommend making reservations because the place gets packed quickly. As for the food, everything I tried was delicious. Salad bar was amazing and the different cuts of meat(pause) they offered was exceptional. I suggest when you are eating to pace yourself because you will get full fast.. Staff was very organized and polite.
Worst server experience I’ve ever had. Waited 20 mins after being seated before even being acknowledged. The server had a serious attitude and acted annoyed at us even being there. After we placed our order, we waited an hour and still no food. I completely understand being short staffed (if that was even the case) but no one even bothered to let us know what was going on. No apology. This was our last day here and sadly we waisted our time coming here.
The lunch/brunch at about $49/person is absolute worth it in my opinion! We celebrated my birthday there and the restaurant gave me a free birthday cake with a candle! It was so sweet (pun intended)! Although the cake was too sweet for me as I normally don’t like desserts that are too sweet, it was a very sweet move from the restaurant. To my surprise, there were like 5 to 6 more people celebrating their birthday there and were all receiving the free birthday cake. The restaurant owner should be happy that they were chosen to be their birthday meal spot!Other than that, the salad bar there had many choices (rice, soup, salad, fruits, cheese, smoked salmon, roasted eggplant, mozzarella and tomato, etc.) The staff responsible for the salad bar required each one of us to wear a disposable glove on one hand upon entering that area every time, which was the RIGHT thing to do to keep the food clean from contamination and bacteria from accidentally touching the food. It made us feel safe and assured! Great job!The meat that they served was pretty good overall. Each customer got a sign on table so we can flip it to the green side when you want meat, and to the red side if you don’t want meat for now. This was very considerate so that we don’t get disturbed by meat server every time when we don’t want meat or just wanna relax from eating. The restaurant environment was very decent and elegant as well. The waitresses would come to your table and bring you some side dishes ( complimentary mashed potatoes, sth like puff, fried banana, and fries). But I would recommend not to eat these too much because they want you to be full so that you won’t have much space left in your stomach for meat lol.Overall, this experience was very satisfactory and I would definitely want to come back again some time during lunch/brunch hours ( the lunch/brunch price is so worth it, and the dinner price will be $20+ more for the same thing I think).Hope they can maintain the great quality and keep up the good works!
I love visiting Fogo de Chão, this was my first time in the New York establishment but it was exactly as i have come to expect from the brand. The Churrasco experience really is fantastic and the entire range of mests was flavourful and cooked to perfection, when coupled with the accompaniments it truly is an amazing experience. The service style is second to none and I have no doubt I will be returning.
Fogo de Chao was absolutely incredible! I had the best experience and would highly highly recommend anyone visiting New York to visit, you won’t regret it! I’ll admit, its a liiiittle bit pricey, but dont be fooled by the numbers - the food is incredible and the service makes you feel right at home! The value is worth the price, and I’ll definitely be making my way back soon (after my food coma). Our server, Andrea was absolutely incredible, she was so attentive and made our night so memorable! Thank you so much Andrea and Fogo de Chao for giving me such a great experience and making my tummy so happy :)
The term reservation is a joke to this restaurant. The staff who seat you are absolutely horrible. My boyfriend and I had reservations for 6:30 PM and guess what - so did 75 other people. We met people who were waiting for 5:45 PM reservations and it was already 7:00 PM. We also ran into people who came in 30 minutes late to their reservation and were still seated before us. The staff member who designated the seats kept saying, Itll only be 5 or 10 more minutes until I get you a seat to people who demanded to know why it took almost an hour past their reservation to be seated. I personally argued with that particular staff member myself, as I was fed up of hearing the same excuse for the past half hour.To the staff at this embarrassment of a facility: do yourself a favor and STOP OVERBOOKING ACCOMODATIONS to keep your stupid popularity up, because its not worth the experience for your clients. Do better.
I’m not reviewing this restaurant against other restaurants but against other FdC locations. But given the service and quality of food at this location — even when compared to other restaurants — I would still give it one star, especially given the $500 bill. For $500 I expect good food and good service. And this provided neither.I’m an FdC fan. And have been to the restaurant in Rio, Sao Paulo, Vegas, DC, Virginia, Miami, NYC, Chicago, and LA. Boston’s was THE worst one I’ve ever been to, which is so sad given the large Brazilian community in the greater Boston area. There are so many better, cheaper, and more authentic Brazilian churrascarias in the area. I will never return to this RdC location and would recommend others stear clear as well.First, they sat my family of six at a circular table in the back against a wall by a storage nook. We had a reservation. We didn’t show up last minute. But from the start felt shoved to the side. Moreover, when I made the reservation the receptionist on the phone assured me there was valet service. When I arrived, in a torrential rainstorm, there was none. I dropped off my wife and four kids, drove several blocks to find parking, then walked to the restaurant in the downpour. But I was in high spirits, I was heading to FdC. Imagine my surprise when I arrived to find my wife and kids had been shoved into a back table — despite our reservation. It was all downhill from there.A server showed up. Once. With table sides. When I asked for vinagrete, farofa, molho de pimenta — he had no clue what I was asking for. Even when explained in English (my native language). Brought us Pao de Queijo. Once. My kids asked for more. He said he’d bring some. Then — disappeared.Servers brought around the cheapest meat. Repeatedly. For like an hour. No Picanha. No Fraldinha. No Alcatra. No Costello. No Bife Ancho. Only chicken thighs and sausage. On repeat. They offered Lamb Picanha, once. Which we declined. They filled us up on mashed potatoes and salad bar and avoided bringing the “Carnes Nobres.” I finally had to walk toward the kitchen to get them to bring by some good beef. And by the time it came out we were already getting full. Slow clap to the floor manager.Julian did a great job of taking care of us. But he was only our server at the very end. For like 15 mins. The rest of the time, we felt ignored. The food was not up to FdC standards. And the service was just plain bad. This was at 4pm. On a Saturday. Not peak hours. No excuse.
What an amazing place. Extremely fancy restaurant with amazing foods. If you arent looking to spend a lot of money here, I recommend doing the no meat option and it is 18 dollars a person. If you are wanting the full experience it will cost you a bit over 50 dollars a person.
Been coming for over 5 years, however when we went for my birthday on Saturday night, it was the worst service we’ve ever received. It was very busy, however they should have enough staff to be able to handle these high volume nights. Our drinks took perhaps 30 min to come out, had to ask for it from one of the servers. Our Pao Di Queijo also took forever to come. Multiple people had to come check on us and promised to bring it out, only came out after the third person came to check on us and said she’d make to bring it out personally. Afterwards, we asked for a refill on the pao di queijo and unfortunately it never came! Just getting a server over here to ask for things, such as utensils after our dessert already came, was already hard enough. I ended up using my daughter’s dirty entrée/steak fork to enjoy my own birthday cake slice since the utensils never came out. If that’s not enough, our server only charged us for drinks and dessert!!! And not the churrascos for 7 of us. She’s lucky we told her when she came back. And then, when we asked her to split the bill evenly between two credit cards, that wasn’t even done successfully, as she put the tip partially more on one card than the other? All in all, usually we love coming here especially for special occasions, but after Saturday we aren’t sure anymore.
Ok. Fun to do once. Still pricey and I would rather have 1 extraordinary steak then 12 pieces of ok steak. Lamb, filet, garlic steak and ribs were all very good. House aged pineapple cachaca was very nice. However we didnt feel great at night. Idk if it was too much meat or what.
We (wife and I) reserved our table for the lunch hours and let me say this was truly a wonderful restaurant experience! The place is just beautifully designed with 3 floors. We were seated on the lower floor and not 5mins passed and we were already on our way to the fully stacked salad bar (trust me it had way more then just salad)! After appetizers, the full meat servings never stopped until we were stuffed to the gills with top shelf meats! The entire server staff were always stopping by our table to make sure we were okay, in which we were MORE THEN OKAY. They have made us customers for life!! LOVE, LOVE...LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!
This place is highly recommended. The buffet bbq is a bit pricey but at least they give you good quality cuts and it’s cooked perfectly. There is a salad bar there for you to get your own veggies, fruit and rice. The decor is nice and the lights are dimly lit. Gave us a complimentary slice of cake for our birthday guest (make sure you tell them of an occasion). Overall, an enjoyable experience.
I have been to 5 fogo de chao in 5 diffrent cities. And by far the worst was nyc!Same meat on repeat. Literally 4 meat selection had to ask about 5 times for them to bring lamb chops. When i made reservations i specifically asked if they have the grilled Pineapple that normally brazilian steak houses serve. They come and cut it same way they do the meat they said yes! When i arrived before we sat down keep in mind it was 20people. I asked you guys serve Pineapple the one that they cut for you to the plate yes my server said. And finallycomes the Pineapple lol they just cut it in triangle slices put it on the grill and served 1pc per person. Thats just a disgrace. I asked the bold waiter of ours why he lied that they had that pineapple he laughed said what does it matter its pineapple on the grill! And he knew exactly which pineapple i was talking about. At the end the bill comes this guy charges me to the max for everyone.Kids under 6 charges half off. Kids under 12 same thing. When kinds under 6 is free!I told him i got 3 vegetarian he charged full price im like dude why i have to go through this. When i said from the beginning who and what! Anyways save your time and go on to other place. Event hough they are packed. Try texas de brasil. Never disappointed me so far!
I just ordered through Uber a “feijoada” with rice and a tabouleh. The food was cold, the tabouleh was dry and the parsley wasn’t well cut which makes even drier, I felt I was eating grass. The “feijoada” didn’t have one single peace of meat so they just should change on the menu rice and beans and then we should know what we’re ordering. Honestly, I was expecting more for such a well known chain.
I went during restaurant week so my review will be a bit different. I enjoyed everything present but personally it was too salty for my full enjoyment, thankfully there is a vinegar sauce that dulls the saltiness. I like my meat medium rare and that was exactly what I got so thats a plus for me. The bacon was my favorite side as it was caramelized with sugar and hot chili flakes. The lamb is delicious but it may be too gamey for some people. Overall everything is cooked perfectly to individual preference.
Every time enjoying the time at fogo de Chao! Food is always soooo good, meat taste amazing! What can I say, full dining experience the best if you love meat and eat a lot))) they won’t stop coming until you can’t eat anymore😆😆 seriously really good, one of my fav places in New York.
I could never say thought about this amazing restaurant. My partner and I made reservations for our anniversary. We had this place in our must go to list for a while now and finally find the time to hit it up. The interior is amazing and elegant. Its extremely large and comfortable. The staff are patient and kind. We stayed for close to 3 hours because we were talking so much and never did anyone rush us out.Make sure to leave room for dessert. You will not regret it!!!
Really great place for Steak, atmosphere is very friendly, theres an elevator for wheelchairs but once you get downstairs it may get a little tight. The salad bar is really nice an plentiful. The drink options are alright but pricey but its Manhattan. At your table once you sit they explain the whole meat experience your about to go thru. Lol I love this place always love coming here.
Amazing place! If you are a steak /meat lover, you just have to try it!It looks small from the outside, but once you enter, you see the huge salon with the beautiful tables with white tablecloths ☺️You pick your own side dishes from a big table and the waiters go around the tables with ready different types of meat. You leave the place full and happy 😊
Awesome experience. Great service - waiters will accomodate you right away, theyll ask whats the occasion or hows the food. Great food - of course the meats! Also dont let the meat stuck up, just flip (green sign) it time to time so you can savor every meat that will serve to you. Try to avoid chicken, I mean if youre gonna eat in a fancy buffet try to eat something that you cant eat everyday. Enjoy! Its worth it!
Just wanted to grab a bite for lunch, and ended up here, Wow !! This restaurant was Great ! The deco, the service and the Food, Wow..they had a nice salad bar which was all you can eat, they serve you of course and i kept going back, lol...they have this bacon that was sweet and spicy, and I couldnt get enough, lol. The prices for the lunch specials were surprisingly low.I Definitely will be back.
Definitely among the best Brazilian steakhouses I have visited. Everything is great here but in my opinion it is the lamb and the market bar that really set it apart. Do not forget to try the brown augar and black pepper bacon at the market bar. Maybe the best thing there. Meats were incredible and service was absolutely amazing. Also got a free cheesecake on my birthday. Really have to tip my hat to this place for making a perfect birthday brunch experience.
This was my second time trying a churrascaria and i loved the experience again!Fogo is huge, the lower floor is dedicated to the buffet and all you can eat. They have more than 10 different meat options and a variety of food at the buffet.67$ each +++Will go bck for more!!!!
I have been to this restaurant with my family Friday 29 April and got poisoned, my family and I literally spent the whole night vomiting and with diarrhea, called the restaurant to report the accident, but they denied and basically implied they dont care. Very unprofessional, I use to go here with my company for events, I will never come here again.
Our favorite Brazilian Steakhouse and honestly, such incredible value for money! Hubby and I wanted to do a traditional steakhouse to celebrate Valentines Day the day after but have been ironically let down recently by a couple of supposedly good ones so we thought of just going to our tried and true. This time for Saturday brunch and it turned out to be a really good decision. :)We were immediately seated and given a nice corner table. Italo was our server and he was warm and on point. Knowing how it works, my husband and I went to the salads etc. table in case theres something worth having before we start enjoying the steaks. I ended up enjoying some cured meats, cheese, and smoked salmon. And I discovered something new this time, their bacon. You guys, their brown sugar and black pepper is incredibly yum! Like you will try to keep yourself from coming for more level! I had to restrain myself from having more since I obviously wanted to go for what we came for, the Brazilian steaks! That being said, Ive tried almost every cut but I always enjoy the Picanha the most! The filet mignon, bottom sirloin and pork sausage are the other cuts that I can highly recommend. We were also given a few slides: Brazilian cheese bread, mashed potato and fried banana, but I didnt touch any of those carbs. Since we chose to skip alcohol, we tried a diet versión of a Brazilian soda which we actually liked.Overall, we definitely had an excellent time and certainly wont be the last. Its the best place if you want to eat some delicious steaks but pace out how you want to indulge. I actually managed to lose a pound the day after so its definitely a win-win!P.S Its beside MOMA so for those visiting, you can definitely plan seeing both the museum and having a great meal here!
Came here with a big group last night for the first time and the service was absolutely phenomenal! They’re following Covid restrictions, the place is very clean and they make everyone use gloves at the salad buffet. The bartender made me a wonderful mojito when I requested it. The wait staff was so sweet to everyone and the manager even came around to check if we were being taken care of and sent us off with well wishes.Food was absolutely delicious and plentiful. At one point, we had to ask them to slow down haha! And don’t skip dessert! The cake trio was amazing! I can’t wait to visit again!
Fogo de Chão is pretty much meat heaven. Youll show up, youll marvel at how remarkably large the space is, youll sit down, and almost immediately a team of absurdly friendly servers will show up with an assortment of different kinds of meat on skewers, which they will then slice especially for you, right onto your plate. Bacon-wrapped chicken, leg of lamb, every imaginable cut of steak. Like it medium rare? Theyll slice from that part of the skewer. A little more well done? No problem, a slice from over here then. Feeling a little full and need a break? Just flip your special coaster from green over to red and theyll let you breathe a minute. When youre good to go again, flip back to green and like some sort of meat magic theyre back with 50 lbs of steak again. Outstanding.
First time here and I love it. While not a cheap place, it’s a worthy experience. If you go with the Full Churrasco Experience (and you should) you’ll start with unlimited amounts of food to start st the salad bar. There are these round paper cards on your table that look like coasters. When you’re ready for the meat, you flip it over and serves will come up to you with what seems like a dozen different cuts of meat from different cuts of steak, lamb, bacon wrapped chicken, pork, etc. Everything was delicious and well salted. While I won’t be coming to dine regularly (it’s not cheap!). I would certainly return.
Wonder dining experience with fusion of different flavors. You have a wide variety of meat options: chicken, pork, beef, and lamb. These meat selections are perfectly complemented by either a glass of unlimited wine. Also, there is a variety of side dishes from fresh fruits and vegetables, salads, cold cuts, different type of cheese, and dont forget about that sumptuous smoky salmon.Appetizers and other side dishes are also served. To name some, there are dinner rolls, mashed potatoes, fried sweet potato fries, and my personal favorite the fried plantains.Dont forget the dessert which is composed of three slices of cakes namely, new york cheesecake, tres leches, and chocolate cake (I dont know the exact name though). This is a must-try restaurant with a reasonable price.
Come and indulge in total bottomless meat adventures. Haha.. No seriously make sure to come hungry AF. If you plan this right youre going to have to go back home or the hotel for a nap. Man!! Its not even a joke its true. Youre going to walk out of there with the meat sweats. The salad bar is aight, but the meats are prime. Just remember Green Means Go! Red means stop!
The food was amazing ! All the meats they brung out for us were so delicious. The salads were amazing. The wine was on point. The mash was stupendous. The ambiance was great and the staff was the best. Im going back for sure I fell in love. Plus I found parking right in front so, LITTTTTT !
I liked the restaurant. The vibe, ambiance and food were good. I expected steaks to be a little more tender and flavorful for a steakhouse personally. The bartenders are amazing. The drinks were delicious. A little disappointed though with the fact that when I made the reservation I specifically said it was my husbands birthday and was told they would do a surprise complimentary desert or something. I even let my server know. Server never came back and nothing happened. Had a different server and at that point was unable to say anything to this new person as it was supposed to be a surprise to my husband. Theres a section when you make a reservation where you can make a notation for specific instructions or request. Lack of communication and paying attention to details as per the reservation makes that section pointless since no one accommodated my request.
This is the second time to eat at this restaurant. The first time was in Washington DC. This brunch in new york is much more bigger and place on the prime location close to 5 ave. For lunch is not busy at all. Staff is very good and food and salad still make me fall in love. If you not too hungry you can choose only salad for cheaper price.
Great ambiance, excellent service and an ideal place for meat lovers. You will surely come out full satisfied. The variety at the salad bar is one of the best if not the best. Besides their endless variety of meat, try the Brazilian papaya and watermelon. You wouldn’t have tasted anything like it..
Great place to eat. Staff are all on point. Waiters are very attentive. Food is great tasting. Prices are great. The reason for 4 stars: location is not ideal if you are a driver; I think the cold bar should have signs indicating what each item is(the hot bar had them only), this may cause a problem with someone else like myself with some food allergies. I asked the standing waitress but she was honest enough to say she didnt speak English. Thank God my second language was her first so I was able to ask away.
Friends from upstate NY recommend this restaurant to us as we’re visiting from HI. The Decor is beautiful, vastly spacious with a superb wine collection. Once seated, you have the option of a salad bar which is really one of NY’s finest deli’s with nearly every shade of appetizer delight. At your table, the house bread is this extremely light and chewy creation which is the combination of a popover meeting parmesan and butter. Then the Ballet of the Brazillian Meat Carvers commenced, waiters with razor sharp knives slicing fabulouslyseasoned meats cooked to perfection. The meats included Prime Beef, top sirloin, garlic rubbed steak, filet of Ribyeye, pork ribs, smoked porked sizzling sauces, pork loin, lamb chops, lamb filet, chicken legs, and bacon wrapped chicken breasts.Next came the sides, of brown sugar broiled apple bananas, and creamy mashed potatoes topped with slivered scallions. When we finally waived the white flag, we finished it all off with the richest flan swimming in its natural Carmel and fresh berries. The service from the waitstaff team was so personal and attentive. So far, this is my new favorite restaurant in all of NY! If you make it to this city this restaurant is an ABSOLUTE must!!!
I loved the place!! The food was amazing and the actual serving staff was above and beyond. The reason for the 4 stars is that I had a reservation got there early waited for my reservation time and after waiting for almost an hour to be seated they sat me upstairs when I am on crutches because of recent surgery and others in my party have disabilities as well, expecting us to go up and down the elevator and thru the crowded area of people waiting to be seated. After expressing my discontent with a manager they started working to accommodate us downstairs and then the same lady from the reception said someone took our table and that it was gonna be a few more minutes. Overall the people at the reception area need to step up there game!
They have taken the crown for best Brazilian steakhouse in Manhattan! The lamb sirloin was particularly good, however I felt all the beef options were cooked extremely well. The salad bar lacked strong options but you are coming here for the meat. The service was also exceptional, as the restaurant was very well staffed and I felt that all of our needs were taken care of quickly.
We came in for happy hour on a Tuesday evening. We cleared the front desk with vaccination cards and photo id. We sat at the bar on the main floor and were warmly welcomed by Hugo! Amazing service. He suggested the cocktails we enjoyed during our visit--Caramelized Pineapple Old Fashioned and Cucumber Mint Mash. We would absolutely visit again, light music and low lit atmosphere. Perfect for dates, reunions with friends, or more casual business meetings. Would return for Hugos positive energy and a cocktail, any night of the week!
A group of friends came together for Thanksgiving. The staff were welcoming and gracious. The food, as always, was delicious. In addition to their regular offering, Thanksgiving dinner options were also available. Eat meat first before filling up at the salad bar... It is what they do best.

2022-04-18We had an awesome dining experience! Its not Michelin-Star fancy, but its upper-middle class quality, with a vibrant atmosphere. Our restaurant attendant was great, Servers were formal and friendly; the respect we received was commendable. Incredible Variety at the Salad Bar, rotating fresh fruits, vegetable medleys, cheeses, and dressings. Its a great compliment to the Churrasco Experience! Guaranteed satisfaction, and likely beyond! Visit for an enjoyable outing!

2022-02-20First time here and it wont be the last! Other than our wait time with a reservation (35 min), I had a lovely time celebrating my engagement 💍 😊. The food was impeccable and the service was phenomenal! When the waitress found out we got engaged that night, they gave us two glasses of champagne 🍾 and the most luscious chocolate cheesecake Ive ever tasted! Cant wait to go back!

2021-12-07I when here to celebrate my birthday and I had a great time, it was 12 of us and everyone said that they had a great time. The unlimited meat at the table was truly an experience. The salad bar was also very extensive. If youre not a meat lover theres other things to enjoy. Like Cauliflower Steak, Salmon and Sea Bass just to name a few. The guest who had these said they were delicious

2022-06-11Great value on happy hour. Had the house cheeseburger and a beer at the happy hour special (all with tip under 20 dollars!). The bar area is very nice and sophisticated. Service is special. The burger was of the highest quality: juicy meat, fluffy brioche, and crunchy polenta as a side

2022-04-09If you walking around the city and want to stop for a quick and amazing Brazilian food, the Bar at Fogo de Chão is a good option. They have very good wine selections. The artichoke cream with toasts were delicious and full of flavor. The salmon with asparagus was melting 🤤

2022-04-24Great experience at Fogo de Chao. The dining room/area is huge and the space is classy. No music was playing at any moment which I really appreciated. I went for the Churrascaria experience and even though you had a choice between 20 different meats unfortunately I only had to taste around 10 meats. The buffet is extensive with a lot of choices and healthy options. The waitress was very present and helpful at the beginning and then as the time went by, service went down. Special shout-out to the bus girl/bus who were always on point. Overall great experience.

2022-02-22All you can eat Brazilian steakhouse. It’s a good place to try different meats and vegetables/salads. The staffs are usually kind. I’m a regular customer since 2007 in different cities. My favorite is Picanha and ribeye.

2022-01-28Definitely only visit if youre ready to spend some coins. Access to a salad and cheese bar 6 shrimps, and a cocktail nearly costs $100. But the vibes are immaculate and the staff is so attentive and amazing

2022-02-01We spent a good time with my friends. This place for meat 🥩 lovers. I had salmon which was overcooked and I returned it. After they brought me a new one which was ok. The atmosphere and service was really good. Recommend for meat lovers. The salad bar is good too.
