This place deserves a 10/10 best vegan food. Super tasty and prices are reasonable for the quality and taste. Never had a bad meal. Owners are always there and great to have a quick chat with. Pick up or sit in it’s all great. Have allergies? They will help to find you a meal that is safe for you. We eat here almost once a week.
I’m not vegan but I go to this place whenever I visit Port Jervis now! Absolutely amazing service, food comes out quick, and this is the best vegan food I’ve ever tasted in my entire life! I’ve recommended this place to countless people because I truthfully believe they are hands down the best vegan restaurant I’ve ever tried!
I have never had a bad meal here and have been eating this food since Fogwood and Fig was a stand at the Milford farmer’s market. We make it a point to go at least once a week to support this amazing cafe. Outside of the aesthetics of the cafe being wonderful and clean - Diana’s food is absolutely incredible and consistent every time and Jeff’s hospitality is wonderful! The employees they have hired have always been super pleasant. I am so happy they opened!
One of the only places where the people are even better than the food! (And the food is phenomenal) I am a carnivore to the death and would never had even considered a vegan meal until I tried Fogwood+Fig. After a few visits, not only am I full, I enjoyed getting to know the people there and learning about vegan food culture! I’m from out of town and will be making the drive back every opportunity that I can!!!
Been trying to make it here since they opened! I totally loved it. Had the spring salad, all the flavors complimented each other and everything was extremely fresh! Really wanted to try a side of the vegan mac and cheese but they were out. Wished we had arrived a bit earlier, but its definitely a reason to come back! Worth the drive!
Imagine taking a California vegan restaurant (decor, food, vibe, menu items, etc) and bringing it to Port Jervis. The food is delicious, the decor is almost all from California as are the owners who put tons of work into making this restaurant not just a place to eat but an experience between the vintage images hung on the walls, the music and the friendliness of the owners. We ordered and shared the California Classic Burger and La Paloma bowl. Both were amazing and highly recommended. Cant wait to try other menu items in the future.
Fogwood and Fig is one of the best cafes I have ever experienced. From the friendly service, the wonderful atmosphere to the mouthwatering food, this place is unbeatable. The menu has an option for every craving. From the sweet homemade desserts to the smokey plant based burgers, everything on the menu is worth a try. On top of the food, the owners are very friendly and informative. This is the best plant based restaurant & is located in the beautiful town of Port Jervis. Highly recommend!!
Im not Vegan or vegetarian, but am trying to eat more plant based.Tried the Korean BBQ burger and OMG was it good! Definitely not a hamburger taste, but I would choose it over some regular burgers, for sure. Will definitely stop by for another when Im in the area again!
Our Airbnb hosts recommended this place - and we are so glad they did! We tried the Fogwood Smoky Burger and the Dill potato salad. All I have to say is WOW - that was an amazing meal. I could eat a gallon of the potato salad it was so good. The burger felt like a real burger, and loved the bean patty and all of the fixings. Everything was fresh made and everyone there was super nice!
I wish there were more stars to rate because I would give this establishment 10 stars. The fresh and made from scratch food is excellent and the service is by far the best I have ever experienced! The staff is consistently friendly and attentive. In an area where the choices for eating out are limited to your standard pizza, terrible fast food, or the same diner you have eaten at over and over, Fogwood and Fig is a breath of fresh air. The cafe itself is decorated beautifully and welcoming. Parking is on the street but not metered. I am plant based and my husband is a dedicated carnivore, but he enjoys eating here as well. Even if youve never tried vegan food PLEASE dont be reluctant to try this place! I can assure you will be pleasantly surprised and its worth it if you need to travel a bit to get here. One of my new favorite activities is to have a weekend lunch with my husband here each month. I do wish they would be open at least one late night during the week till 8 or 9 (currently they close at 7PM but the kitchen closes at 6:45PM ) because I would love to on occasion have dinner there as well. Working far away I wouldnt be able to make it there before 7. Again though, if you feel like having a delicious lunch treat yourself one afternoon to Fogwood and Fig. Looking forward to many more meals there and bringing friends to enjoy it as well.
Amazing!!! Wish we lived closer. We were camping at the Delaware water Gap and passing through Milford Pa where someone recommended this restaurant in Port Jervis, NY. Delicious fresh food, to die for cashew cheese cakes and more. Incredibly satisfying and very gracious staff.
I have nothing but glowing reviews for this wonderful place. The space is beautifully designed, comfortable, fresh, & cozy. The owners/staff are so warm & welcoming, & I instantly got the sense that they put their hearts into every aspect of the business. The food... the FOOD! It’s absolutely delicious & it’s hard to believe what with how everything is made in house & you won’t find a processed substitute in sight. I got the breakfast sandwich & the mac&cheese, both so totally scrumptious w/ a super satisfying flavor profile, mouth feel, & eating experience. The sandwich was packed w/ so much goodness I couldn’t believe it stayed together in my hand the whole time! The mac&cheese was smoky & creamy & balanced just right. They set the bar high for vegan food in the Hudson Valley. They’ve easily landed a spot in my top favorite restaurants, country wide. Next time I go I’d like to try the gluten free options. Thanks F+F! You’re a gem in this area & so appreciated.
Cute! Very busy little vegan cafe in the town of Port Jervis. The staff were very welcoming and efficient despite the weirdness of being in a pandemic. The food was very nice. My friend really enjoyed her vegan mac and cheese! I really liked the Paloma bowl. The beet hummus was gorgeous in contrast with the avocado and quite tasty as well! The kale salad was also quite good although Id like to have a little more zing in the dressing.Well definitely be back the next time were in the area!
Fogwood and Fig is on another level. Hands down the best tasting vegan food I’ve ever had. It will seriously blow your mind. The food is always consistent too. A few of my personal favorites are the Smokey burger, the Flirty burger, mac and cheese, chips and queso, and their side salad with warm spiced vinaigrette. You will not be disappointed here, enjoy ✌️
Salad was excellent and we tried the Smokey burger. Best veggie burger I ever had. I love my beef hamburgers and this even in my opinion was better. The Smokey burger was full of All different delicious flavors. my woman for allergy reasons is more on the vegan end.I found Fogwood + Fig and figured I would give them a try.We will be back. I felt price was fair. Dinner was under $40 for the 2 of us.The owner and staff are very Friendly and clearly wish to give you the best experience they can offer.People who complain about price don’t really understand the quality and costs involved. You get what you pay for. And it didn’t break our bank. Considering that is about average for a meal for 2 of us and we had dessert as well
Fantastic in every way. The workers were so sweet and understanding of my allergies. One of the women even discussed her own allergy experience, and we easily chatted for a bit.I was informed of how thorough the eatery is in keeping allergens separate, using different utensils for certain foods, etc.The portions were enormous and delicious. The price was incredibly fair for the size of the bowl.
I rarely review places, but a co worker and I decided to order from this little place, and I haven’t eaten good food like this in a long time. This area needed some GOOD healthy food. I got a California Burger, and it was amazing. I didn’t even know it wasn’t real beef until afterwards. I recommend this place to everyone. Food is healthy & amazing.
We went there for takeout lunch on a Saturday. Super cute place with a lovely staff.Ordered the California Classic burger, the Levi Reuben sandwich, the Breakfast sandwich, and a side of mac & cheeze. Oh. My. God! The mac & cheeze was good; the sandwiches were AMAZING! Followed all that yumminess with slices of two of their cheezecakes -- lemon rose and espresso chocolate. Another OMG! Heaven!Highly recommend -- I bet even your non-vegan friends would agree! :-)
Delicious fresh vegan food, not heavy on meat substitutes, which is a plus for me.The owners are so nice and the whole place is wonderful and welcoming. Our group had Chili, Mac and cheese, kale salad with chickpeas, patty melt, LaPaloma bowl, blooming spring salad AND chocolate cake, ALL excellent. Worth the drive. We’ll be back!!
Absolutely delicious lentil burgers! Loved the kale Caesar salad too. The owners were very friendly too. Ill definitely be back!Came back around my second time, not only were the burgers delightful they serve the best coffee (organic Sumatra) I ever had (thank you Jeff!)
I wish it was closer to me. This is vegan food done the right way. Everything was delicious. I had the La Paloma Bowl (highly recommend) the potato salad, and the lime cream dessert. Everything was prepared so well and the flavors were perfect. The couple was so nice and welcoming too. Try this place if you are in the area. You wont be disappointed and youll go out of your way to come back!
Fogwood + Fig is a hidden gem in Port Jervis, NY. All of their food is freshly homemade and everything is amazingly tasty. My favorite is the BLT with a side of mac&cheese. They have specials every day, and even my non-vegan friends enjoy eating here. On top of it all, the staff is really sweet and accommodating.
My daughter and I anxiously awaited their opening day! We visit the area a few times a year. Our meals at Fogwood + Fig are always a highlight of our trip. Scrumptious everything! Love and nurturing from Diana and Jeff permeate this oasis. Thank you for following your hearts!!!
After going to Fogwood and Fig three or four times, I have to say this is hands down my favorite restaurant in the Tri-State area. I have never had a disappointing meal here. The veggie burgers are far better than any hamburger Ive had before, and the depth of flavor and richness simply intense. Even if you arent a vegetarian, you will surely find the burgers to be an rapturous and blissful experience. When I first came here, there werent too many sides offered. This was somewhat disappointing, but theyve added to their menu a handful of artful sides ranging from light and flavorful salads to hearty potatoes. The atmosphere is classy, cosy, and intimate. The staff are very friendly and seem to care a lot about their patrons.I highly recommend Fogwood and Fig and look forward to trying more of their ever developing menu.
This restaurant serves the best Vegan food and im not a vegan. Fresh and delicious with chef made cheeses that i wish they would sell as take out. Its a small place but always has customers that seem to be enjoying their food. There are daily specials and good healthy drinks. Counter service with your choice being brought to you. Its not expensive considering that everything is freshly made. Lunch and dinner menu is the same which i wish was different.
Amazing! I have been trying to eat at Fogwood forever, but my work schedule never lined up with the days they were opened. Finally got a chance to eat here for my birthday last month and I’ve been thinking about their food ever since! Huge portions and absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to eat here again.
Maybe its just me but I dont think it should cost $30 for a soup & salad. Perhaps thats why its empty at 12:30 during lunch hour. I mean its not a 3 star Michelin restaurant. The food is good but they should have options within the menu to make it affordable to order multiple items. When I suggested this and commented on the price I was not treated appropriately. Good restaurants except constructive criticism. Unless things change I will not be returning.*UpdateThanks for the rude response and for illustrating my point. By the way, the soup was not very good. Well see how long you stay open with that attitude and that food.
Finally got myself out there. An hour and a half drive well worth it. We need more places like this. After just over a year since they opened, it made me happy to see the place full with people. I wish all the best for the people who made Fogwood + Fig happen. I wish I could eat there every day.
I stopped in today to try the Korean BBQ Burger and it was flawless. Jeff, Diana, and the staff are always warm and welcoming and the ambience just feels right. I highly encourage those that have some preconceived notion of what vegan food is to give this place a try. Great addition to Port Jervis.
We stopped here during a road trip for lunch. I was skeptical since even though Im vegetarian, I really value dairy. My husband is definitely a meat eater. He had the classic burger and I had the BLT. Both were really great. We were impressed. The cashew queso is also really good. Im giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because it would be nice to have some more drink options and there is also not much for kids, but luckily my 3 year old wasnt hungry since she had just eaten a ton of popcorn.
Great food and even better service. I am a meat eater and was more than satisfied with the menu options and homemade desserts offered. We were in the area for the weekend and decided to go back for lunch on the way home because it was so good. Will definitely be going back! Highly recommend it.
Plant-based food that is as beautiful as it is delicious. Ive had several different items from their menu and every single one has been amazing. Im so glad that this cafe is down the street from my house because I will be eating there as often as possible. A wonderful addition to the downtown area with something for everyone.
I will have to start by saying I am not vegan or vegetarian, but this place was awesome. Finally a place around here with really good food. Their non meat burgers taste better than most burgers you will find in a 5 mile radius. Nothing I ate was less than great! I will be back.
Totally love this spot! My family and I come here each time we visit one of the farm sanctuaries, Tamerlane being one of them. They use Tamerlanes hot sauce on one of their burgers which is amazing.Jeffs hospitality is the best Ive seen in a long time. This is a must go.
We came because the Instagram photos of the food looked so good and it didnt disappoint! The food is delicious. The decor is beautiful and genuine. The owners are hospitable. We traveled over an hour to get to Fogwood and Fig and we were so happy we made the trip. Highly recommended!!!
Every single time we have gone to Fogwood has been nothing short of STELLAR! I am a long time vegetarian (15+ years) and was beyond excited for a new veg friendly restaurant to open nearby to home. I recommend this cafe to anyone and everyone, it’s too good to keep to myself!
This place came highly recommended and now I know why. My husband I came for lunch. The food is heaven on earth, the owners Jeff and Diana are warm, friendly, and gifted. This is a quaint gem in town. We traveled 30 mins to get here. Worth every second. Will be back as soon as we can. We had the whiskey burger, mushroom melt and berry cheesecake with toasted coconut crust, organic lemon ginger and green chai teas. Loved it all! Please move to Goshen! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
I can not begin to express the happiness in my mouth and soul!!! I truly wish there were more places like this EVERYWHERE!!! Not only was the food AMAZING the vibes were AMAZING as well! Beautiful place to be, beautiful people to chat with!!! I can not wait for my many visits to come!!! GO VEGAN!!! SAVE OUR BEAUTIFUL EARTH!!!
I absolutely love Fogwood & Fig. You don’t have to be a vegan or vegetarian to enjoy this healthy comfort food, with the most amazing, addicting flavors. La Paloma bowl is my favorite, although the Lentil Shepard’s Stew is a close second. I highly recommend you take a trip to Port Jervis to check it out.
Jasmine green tea was delicious. I wasnt aware that sweetener was available. Until i looked over to the side. Had the kale ceaser salad. I didnt eat the pickled onion on top and Im not a fan of avocado but i did eat half a piece. Salad felt very dry and didnt tastle like ceasar dressing at all then again it is vegan and im not used to vegans foods. I would suggest adding a another leafy green and not just kale to the salad or maybe even cucucmbers.
A beacon of hope in this dark world, Fogwood + Fig left me full, both spiritually and physically. The La Paloma bowl is perhaps the best use of quinoa I have seen—to be fair, I rarely have quinoa, but it was delicious nonetheless.I recommend stopping by, grabbing a COVID friendly to-go plate, and enjoying by the river. Port Jervis may thank you for your business, but you will be eternally grateful for the memories you make when enjoying your Fogwood + Fig.
Nice ambience, friendly staff but OMG $11 for about one cup of macaroni with about 1/2 teaspoon of mushroom? Suggestion: at least up the amount of macaroni, from about 20 cents worth to 50 cents worth, perhaps even throw in a couple slices of bread and a little salad to encourage repeat customers?

2022-04-24An absolute delight! I never tasted Vegan food this good before. Fogwood and Fig have an exceptional mushroom and lentil burger that does not disappoint. The staff are very friendly and allergy conscious- once told of an arugula allergy, they were quick to take note. They also have gluten free buns that are delicious! Overall, I would highly recommend Fogwood and Fig. If you are interested in great food at a great price, then youve reached the right place.

2022-04-23Accidentally found this place while I was driving to Legoland with my family. They had an amazing kale salad that I enjoyed thoroughly. He also had a oat Bar cookie dessert that was to die for. Overall I really like the ambience and had a great experience. Afterward we took a walk across the Delaware River which is only a few blocks away. For someone whos not from the area was a cool little historical bonus that I wasnt expecting

2022-07-03Fogwood smokey burger, anytime breakfast sandwich and sides of Mac and cheese and dill potato salad. Price was approx $40 and despite the negative reviews on prices, is fair based on the ingredients and quality of food. Its hard to find places that are solely vegan with quality food options (and not just a salad without cheese). I was going to take picture, but the fiance and I housed our meals and left nothing behind. Great taste. Great ingredients. Great ambiance/staff. Wish we were closer but since we were out camping, and next time we do up this way, we will be making this spot a requirement.

2022-07-09Absolutely fantastic vegan food. Weve been to many vegan restaurants, and this is one of the best. The freshness, flavor, and attention to detail all shine through. The atmosphere and vibe of the restaurant also added to the experience. We will definitely visit any time we are in the area.

2022-05-29If you’re looking for the best food around this city, I’d recommend this place. I have tried every burger and sandwich and none of them have let me down. The Kimchi burger is very flavorful, one of my favs!- You can tell there has been much thought behind the recipes here, seems like a lot of dedication to the craft of cooking but also a love for the art of it too. My most favorite is the smoky burger, or The holiday burger is divine and is on special currently- during thanksgiving/Christmas, I highly recommend. Today I was lucky enough to try the farro bowl, it was hearty, very delicious also huge serving I couldn’t finish!

2021-10-19Diana & Jeff are an all star team who have taken plant based foods to new limits! The burgers and melts are so savory and each item on the menu has a unique and distinct taste! My favorites are: The Melt, the Korean Burger and Mac and Cheese!

2021-04-05I am honestly not really one for vegan food as a first choice, but this is really worth trying. The food is flawlessly executed, super tasty and the absence of meat is not something you even think about. Every time I have been to Fogwood + Fig I have been delighted and continue to go back for more. The staff are super nice too!We should all eat more plant based food - it’s better for us and for the planet. This is a great place to start!
