Michael and his wife did an amazing job with our father’s funeral. They made it extremely easy. Their kindness and good vibes gave us the confidence to sign in and it was the best choice. We highly recommend Forever After.
This was our familys first time ever having to make funeral arrangements for a love one, our beloved mother. This is one of the most painful moment we had to endured in our lifetime. I didnt know where to begin, what to expect, and nevertheless what questions to ask. I was given a list of several other funeral services but Forever After caught my eye and it just spoke to me. Just the name says it all. I took a deep breath and proceeded to make the call, and Michael took my call and as soon as I mention I needed information on making arrangements for my Mom, who wasnt yet deceased, but was in the transition of passing, he immediately expressed his sympathy to me and my family and said that he will keep us in his prayers. I truly felt the sincerity in his words and it made me extremely comfortable to ask him for help in assisting me with the information that I needed to know in starting the process for a cremation. He took his time to explained what I needed to know and exactly what takes place. I told him that this was my very first call that I had made, and that I had other places to call to see which one was best suitable for my family and I and that I had to also consult with my other siblings to make the final decision. Michael was so polite, sympathetic, understanding very eager to help me in any way possible. He told me that if at any time I still had any other questions or needed further help to feel free to give him a call right back and that he will be more than happy to assist me. I knew in my heart that I would be choosing Forever After to handle my Mom with the utmost respect and care that we wanted for our beloved mother/wife/grandmother to have and we absolutely did choose them. My family and I highly recommend Forever After to anyone, and trust me when I say, you will not regret it and it will be one of the best decision you will make from the beginning till very end. Michael, my family and I cant ever thank you enough for taking some of the weight off our shoulders and giving us such peace of mind with us whole peicess. We couldnt have gotten through such a painful moment in our lives if it wasnt for all your hard work and your devine dedication. You made it such a smooth transition for us and we ask God to continue to bestow blessungs upon you and the entire Forever After family always. 🙏👍🙌

They helped us and gave us many options to choose from with our arrangements. They made us feel like family. I just happened to stumble across this funeral home in search of one and I am happy I did . Michael and the rest of the team was very helpful, answered all my questions and confirmed with me that once all forms were filled they will take care of everything else . My beautiful mother passed recently and I was left scrambling to find a funeral home. Luckily my best friend found me Forever After while searching on Google. After reading all the positive reviews, I figured I’d give them a try. I’m so happy I did because Forever Ever was magnificent! From the minute that I walked in to the moment I left, I knew this was the place I wanted for my beloved mother. We spoke with Michael who was caring, charming and used his lighthearted sense of humor to ease my pain. Michael went up and beyond to help my friend and I with the funeral preparations. I loved how I was treated and how well they took care of my loving mother. Everyone was nice and made me feel at home. Forever After is very spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. I’m elated that I was so fortunate to have found this place.
Forever After Funeral Services were wonderful. Mike has handled two completely different types of services for my husband and I, and both were beautifully done. He was compassionate, and personable and always made himself available when we needed guidance. The funeral home staff members were also very knowledgeable and helpful when Mike was out of the office.
Where do I even begin? Losing a love one is always difficult especially when you feel theres still so much to share with them. The passing of my grandmother was a very difficult to experience but with Micheal and Forever After Funeral Services I have so much closure. This man and his services were absolutely amazing /affordable. His level of professionalism is top notch. He was always readily available and accommodating. From our first meeting where he attentively listened to each of us and answered all of our questions individually, provided insight and recommendations to certain things that were not really thought about, to finally making sure everything was perfect for grandmas send off. Being totally honest like many Im sure, I have been to many veiwings/funernals and my grandmother was by far the most beautiful deceased individual I have ever seen. Im not just saying this because she is my grandmother but because Micheal has a special gift. Jokingly I told him when I pass he needs to be the one to make me over. We provided him with a picture of how we wanted her to look and he emulated it exactly. I mean down to the strokes of they way her hair fell. She absolutely looked beautiful, like a sleeping angel. If anyone is in search of funeral services look no further. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

I wanted to take a moment to share my experience with Forever after funeral home bc as we all know these days we are all unfortunately experiencing so much loss in our lives. Choosing a funeral home is the last thing any one wants to ever plan or think of but to find a place that truly cares is even harder. Each year for the past 3 years I had to burry my mom , then my grandmother and this year my aunt. While it has been extremely difficult for myself and my family the staff at Forever after made the process each time so easy and comforting. They are extremely compassionate, thoughtful, patient, understanding and reliable. My mothers funeral was so beautiful and it was because of their ability to understand my love for her that I was allowed to make it so special and give her the proper send off. My grandmother was cremated during Covid and while these were crazy unknown times I put my trust in Forever after yet again and they as expected put both my heart and mind at ease. I knew that although we were all in isolation my grandmother was in great hands. My aunt passed away 2 days before Christmas and just imagine how heart breaking another loss right before the holidays are. I immediately called Michael and again he came to the rescue and helped us get through yet another tragedy. Michael is always the same .. Extremely helpful , thoughtful, loving and most importantly he makes you feel as if your loved one is his family as well. He goes above and beyond to show he cares. This was important for me bc burying a family member is never easy so to have a funeral home help you carry some of the weight of your pain makes the grieving less overwhelming. Please do not think twice about bringing your loved one to forever ever after bc they are truly the best in every way. They lead with love and will treat you like family. I first used FAFS when my mother transitioned in 2020; in my early 30’s and very overwhelmed and in grief they made the process so easy.They also helped with other services such as prayer cards and filling my mothers urns for my brother and I . I recently contacted them after my father transitioned for prayer cards for work; the turn around time was a day. I can’t thank them enough. I have walked by this funeral home for years with my family and in return as a young adult they have helped me so much.Great service, fast communication and fast turn around time and very affordable!

Patience, comfort, and care are what Funeral Directors Michael Scuoppo and Heliot Lara demonstrated to us when arranging the funeral visitation services, to helping us select the beautiful urn, to being with us right before the cremation. When my mom passed my father and I were so lost we did not know what to do. My father lost his lifelong partner of 54 years and I not only lost my mother I lost my best friend. Michael and Heliot are angels God sent my father and I to to help us, help us is certainly what they did. From the beautiful flyer they put together to announce her visitation services, to the online obituary announcement. Mom looked stunning at the visitation service. The staff at Forever After Funeral Services are so kind and very helpful. We were extremely satisfied. Michael arranged for us to be at the cremation we were given the opportunity to spend time with mom right before she was cremated. Michael prayed with us and gave me the rosary mom had with her in the box before being cremated. Michael showed us we were not alone with the care and comfort he gave my Dad and I. Michael is an amazing Funeral Director. I highly recommend Forever After Funeral Services they truly stand by what they offer they provide services that will be so memorable they will be with you now and forever after. Forever After made the transition of my mothers passing very easy. As its the first time my sister and I had to deal with having making funeral arrangements. I lost my son 8 years prior and did not have the ability to make decisions. This time Michael from Forever After, made making those decisions easier. My first personal funeral as some of us know it isn’t easy and it just might be one of the hardest situation to deal with when it comes to a love one . My family and I wanted to give my baby brother a nice funeral service. At arrival we were greeted by Michael . Michael, is great, I knew I was in the right place when I notice Michael had on one of my brothers favorite sneakers and was dress formal . Michael, offered more than just a service for a funeral he offered Comfort, Empathy, and Understanding of everything that was going to happen from the moment we decided to use Forever After Funeral Services. To be honest he didn’t make me feel like the other funeral homes “money, money, money”. Michael ,is just a phone call away let’s just say 24hr. For example my sister last minute wanted two hours with just family members and wanted a small service. we called Michael and asked if he can find us a Priest and he managed to get us a priest within hour. The priest gave the best service it felt as if he knew my brother for years the service was perfect. it was also a form of therapy for my family expressing great memories and how much we are morning our lost. To be honest the whole time Michael never said NO to none of my requests and I think if he would’ve said no its because realistic it couldn’t be done . The location; very spacious for large gathering as well as small. Very well kept and up to date. One of the biggest plus was the free parking lot under the funeral home and it didn’t smell like funeral home.
Michael was absolutely fantastic. He was extremely compassionate and made the whole process so easy and stress free. I recently went through spinal fusion surgery, and have very limited mobility. When I got the call from my grandmothers nursing home, I frantically began searching for a funeral home. I am so happy I came across Forever After Funeral. I called at 8 am to inquire about their services and pricing. By 10 am I was in Michaels office with my brother signing all the required documents. After all the paperwork was done, Michael immediately went to my grandmothers nursing home to take care of the rest for me. He sent me text updates and kept me informed every step of the way. I received my grandmothers ashes a week later in this cute urn (the urn was free too). For the prompt and fantastic service, Forever After Funeral pricing are extremely affordable. Thank you so much Michael for helping my brother and I through this. We were extremely close to our grandmother, so her passing left us devastated.

Because my father had a terminal condition, I decided to visit several funeral homes in advance, so I could make a decision as to where his funeral would be held. I had a limited budget but wanted someplace nice. Of all the funeral homes I visited, Forever After Funeral Services was the one that left the best impression. Michael, the funeral director, was very compassionate and personable and his prices were very affordable and fit my limited budget. I referred two of my friends to him and both used his services for their deceased loved ones. My dads health decline was pretty dramatic in the past week and a half. He went into hospice on Monday and they advised that I should preplan for his funeral asap as his remaining time was uncertain. I called a few places and I am still waiting for return phone calls. I saw my dad for the last time on 12/31 and committed to finding a funeral home New Years day. Michael was so compassionate, respectful and professional and understanding. He took as much time as I needed to process what I was going through and answered all of my questions. Within an hour, plans were solidified. My dad passed the next evening and Michael and the staff of Forever After Funeral Services were at the nursing home and took care of my dads remains. First I want to say that Mike’s professional demeanor was on point. My loving mother left us way too soon in our opinion, but Michael gave us such a beautiful memory of our good bye to her. She looked AMAZING. Our friends and family were impressed and we will cherish how she looked because there was even a smile on her face. I honestly dont even know where to begin. The day of my grandmothers service I was honestly terrified of going up to the front because lets be honest weve all been a service or two where the deceased did not look like him or herself. Once I finally had the courage to go up front and view my grandmother for the very last time a huge weight came off my shoulders. My grandmother looked like my grandmother so absolutely beautiful. She looked so peaceful as if she were taking a nap. It was such a relief to know the last person to care for my grandmother which was Michael was in amazing hands. A picture was given to Michael of how we wanted my grandmother to look and to the T my grandmother looked exactly like the imaged provided to Michael. The overall experience my family had from beginning to end was definitely worth more then 5 stars. We all know having to deal with something like this is never easy but if you come to Forever After Funeral trust me you wont be disappointed from beginning to end.

The services at Forever After Funeral Services LLC. were incredible. No one wants to deal with the death of a father so abruptly due to COVID-19, but Michael and his staff made all arrangements hassle free. I was not in the right mind-frame to handle all the necessary steps to organize a funeral. I was able to put everything in Michael and his staffs capable hands. I really recommend Forever After Funeral Services LLC, this team working here is very NICE, starting with Ashley who is the person we were communicating with all the time, she was always there for us, Thank You Very Much Ashley.To be honest, it is very hard to be involved in a situation when you loose a family member, but these people working here are passionate of what they do, and make this sad last moments a little bit lighter, because you can feel that they care about you, and your loved one. We used their services twice, and in both times their symphaty and professionalism was shown, adding the fact that their prices are very reasonable as well, I hope the best for them.

My mother passed and she requested a cremation. I wasnt sure how or where its done.I called a few places in the Astoria area. One location never called back, the second only had the administrative assistant quote me some numbers, and finally the third location rushed through the prices and practically told me he has the best prices and no one else is cheaper.All three just didnt feel right. My sister suggested the Bronx will have better service. I called Forever After and left a message. Michael returned my call within minutes and explained everything to me, not just the prices. He gave me a step by step breakdown and didnt refer to her as the body but as mom.Michael helped me feel at ease and showed that he cared. I cannot explain how he took some of the stress I had and it helped me to concentrate on insurance and family. He kept in touch with me during the process via email. By the way, Forever After had better prices and even if they didnt, I still would have worked with them thanks to the kindness Michael showed over the phone.If a your reading this because a loved one passed away I cannot recommend this location enough. Give them a call and Im sure that pressure you have on your shoulders will lift a little while you handle family, insurance, and loss of sleep.

I called several other funeral homes before coming across Forever After Funeral Services on Google search. I began with the traditional funeral homes used generationally in my old Crown Heights Brooklyn neighborhood and was not satisfied with their response and/or lack of response. Next I tried Googling for a funeral home near my current East Harlem neighborhood. The responses that I received were as cold and callous as my illegitimate half-brothers attitude toward my dear Dads suffering and eventual Death.I can not even begin to express the emtions that I was in during that time, but when I called Forever After Funeral Services the energy/vibes were just right for me. And although it is far stretch from my neighborhood, I did not hesitate with an Ill call back script and immediately went with them. Michael took care of everything and kept me informed of the process. So kind and very, very thoughtful. I have never had an experience of taking care of the Dead and I am grateful that Forever After Funeral Services were there to help. Forever After Funeral Services is a place where the prices are reasonable and the service is spectacular. Michael S. was the person that helped me through my most difficult time when my brother died. He not only completed the job but went beyond.
When my dad passed away I contacted forever after funeral services and I was treated with nothing but respect by people who were genuinely nice and so helpful. Mike was amazing and made this process painless and he handled everything. My family and I are forever grateful for the way we were treated during this terrible time and instead of a stressful time it was made painless and easy.
The funeral director made the process for direct cremation so easy for my family and I during this very emotional and stressful time when grieving over a loved one. He answered all of our questions and responded quickly to our phone calls and texts, even after business hours. In addition, the services for direct cremation was the most affordable in NYC when I was calling around to 10 other funeral homes around the city, which helped us tremendously. The funeral director informed us about the whole process from start to when we were able picked up our loved one’s cremation. We loved the way this funeral home took care of our love one. We will definitely recommend this funeral home to friends and family.
My family and I cant be grateful enough for the compassionate and professional care we received. I had contacted at least 5 other funeral homes before I found this one. Upon initial contact, I was optimistic. It was after hours and I was told someone would get back to me immediately. Michael called me back in less than 10 minutes. We went over details, options and VERY reasonable pricing. He wasnt pushy like the others, he was genuine and sincere in wanting to help. It almost felt to good to be true. I discussed with my family and we decided, when the time came we would go with them. On New Years eve, Abuela passed at home just 4 hours shy of the New Year. I immediately called Michael, with no expectation that he would move so swiftly to handle things. In less than 2 hours, she was picked up and taken into their care. The gentlemen that came to pick her up handled everything so delicately. They made that very difficult moment so much easier. We went in-person to finalize the plans, and left confident that we had made the right decision. Michael once again did everything to make sure we were satisfied. We didnt know what to expect when it was time to see her for the last time, but once again they got it right. She looked beautiful and peaceful, which gave the family so much comfort. Efrain was our director for the day of the services and Jeff our driver. Both were incredible at ensuring everything went smoothly. We are so grateful to Michael and his team for their care.

I don’t really write reviews, but I lost my husband of 40 years and did not know where to start or how to begin funeral arrangements. I researched many places and came across Forever After Funeral Home. They were less costly of other place. Not only that the Director Michael guided me step by step and updated me on everything that was being done, he was very caring and communicated very well with me. Due to COVID my husband wanted to be cremated. Mr. Michael explained everything from when the body was picked up to when he took my husband to the crematory. The whole process took only a week starting from the paperwork to receiving the ashes, mind you other places that were charging more said it would take 3-4 weeks to receive the ashes. Forever After Funeral Services were pleasant to work with especially during COVID-19. I live in Florida, and my father passed away in a nursing home in the Bronx. The staff at Forever After Funeral Services not only were prompt in helping me during this difficult time, but they handled everything from start to finish very quickly. 2022-05-20Today I was able to say my goodbye to mother because of forever funeral home. I was so pleased with how they treated me when I was lost and was only able to cremate my mom due to the expenses and view her with immediate family members only. But was great! They may her look so beautiful after just getting a autopsy done. Thank you to Micheal and Elliott for everything. The price is amazing and affordable to the cost today for a funeral. Not only it was in my Budget I was also able to see her and leave her roses and pray with my family. Something Ortiz funeral was charming me. They not about money they are about family. 2022-02-18Forever After Funeral home offers amazing service! Losing my mother has been the toughest time for my family and I. We’ve had several negative experiences in the past with other funeral homes regarding our family members funeral services. I had specific requests for my mother’s service and Mike and Heliot made sure to meet every single one of my expectations. My mother looked beautiful. She looked happy and peaceful. They did an amazing job with dressing her exactly how I wanted, they did an amazing job with her makeup, and even took the time out to do her nails the way I asked them too! I was so happy and pleased. They provided great hospitality to our guest the day of my mother’s service. They helped us with whatever we needed. Over all it was a great experience. Several people said it was one of the most beautiful services they’ve been to. I would recommend Forever After Funeral services to everyone.

2022-06-19My mom unfortunately passed away recently and I found this funeral home after some googling. Michael did a really great job explaining the entire process and answering all my questions while expressing sympathy during this difficult time. I felt very comfortable working with Michael throughout the entire process and could tell he really cared. He was really fast with communication and always kept me up to date with the latest updates. Their prices for cremation were also way more reasonable than other funeral homes in the area where the cost was almost double.

2022-03-19I was recommended to Forever After Funeral Services by my mothers (R.I.P.) former social worker. He assured me that Mike and his team were wonderful and many people had called him back to inform him about the great service. I will do the same because I experienced more than I expected. We were able to make the arrangements between 3-4 days right after my mothers passing, and they offered very affordable prices and options. Everyone is respectful and professional. Mike and his team are super friendly beyond my expectations! The funeral home feels peaceful and beautiful, necessary for dealing with a loved ones loss. 2022-04-11My dad passed away less than a week ago. It was very sudden and unexpected news for my family here in NYC and in other countries. Despite the hectic funeral arrangements, Forever After Funeral Services are such a wonderful, compassionate, and accommodating team. 2022-04-19My Brother passed away and I initially called Ortiz Funeral Home and they were charging me double what I paid at Forever After Funeral Services. I am so happy that I decided to look further….not only is Forever After Funeral Services the best, they are honest, reasonable, sympathetic, clean and so so helpful. Michael (the director) he was so accommodating, we went to view my brother before cremation, then last minute my mom who is starting to suffer from memory problems wanted to see her son one last time before cremation since she thought he would look as he did in the hospital and Michael accommodated a grieving mothers last minute wish. The day of the memorial service, Stephanie & Nellie were extremely helpful and the service was flawless because of their help. I will never forget that day. I can’t stress enough how wonderful this place is and it’s team. You will not regret coming here. If I could give 10 stars I would. Thank you Michael ❤️
