What can I not say. The parks of all parks. Great views and playgrounds for children and adults. Basketball courts, baseball field, tennis, cookout space with grills. Get there early in the summer months for best space to have Children can have fun with family and friends cookout. A place for all visitors and new Yorkers.
This is a great place to stop while bike riding. The view can be lovely specially if it is not humid. You can easily sit by the water appreciate the bridge to one side and the city to the other. The only reason why i give a 4 is noise. The traffic from the bridge and the current construction happening makes a lot ñf sound pollution but other than this it is a great place to walk and speand time with someone.
Excellent views and trails for runners, walkers and bikers alike. There are few places to enter and exit where I was staying up near Columbia hospital, so access was a bit difficult. Bikes also go excessively fast and can surprise you, but river views are second to none. Runners are hard pressed to find longer stretches of flat-ish paths without cars.
I enjoy commuting in the green way. There are areas of the park that need to be repaved and does create a hazard for cyclist. This is a great place to take a stroll and relax. Lots of wild life and bustling waterway traffic. Awesome views of the George Washington Bridge and the light house as well.
Youll Never Know, Dear” is also driven by the main characters speech, which can also be considered his thoughts, as they are his primary means of expression. At the end of the story, Ben loses all of his money playing a card game. The game is one in which he places bets on certain numbers, hoping that when the wheel is spun, it lands on one of the numbers he has chosen. After it does not, and he loses, the man running the wheel asks, “Whatsamatta with ya, ya daddy rich” (Updike, 1962, p. 177).
It has a long and narrow waterfront park that starts at Dyckman Street and abruptly ends near the Henry Hudson Bridge, without any way to exit other than to go back to Dyckman Street. The waterfront is beautiful in its own rustic way and the walk path is even and paved nicely.
Its just a little playground and some grass, which were grateful for, for the kids, but its not got much to offer adults, unless youre homeless and need a public space to pitch your tent. It would be great to get a BBQ spot, or a field to play games on, or a basketball hoop. There are chess boards but only in the children-only zone.
Hello folks welcome all new people new eye balls and new beeeeeeeeeeeeez thanks for reading my post okay nice park here to clear you head get a peace of mind never mind the bills and your kids driving you mad great view of the water and trees smell the fresh cool breeze if the ocean see the birds best of yet get a peace of mind bring a friend love one family member do you have fun 🙂 so if you find this information helpful please give me a like untill then peace 😂
Went on a Sunday morning walk with friends and the first thing you notice is how quiet and remote this park is. Plenty of space to relax, jog or ride bikes or play tennis. Gorgeous views of the George Washington bridge, the Little Red Lighthouse, Palisades and the Hudson River. Amtrak also passes by frequently as noted by the horn blowing. Great place to bring the kids and the dog. I cant believe Ive never been here till today.
This place brings me so much great memories, me and my high school friend had our reunion after 20th year. It wast so remarkable to see each other again and this park was the perfect place to spend such quality time. Sitting near the river, breathing the fresh air and remembering the old times was an excellent experience. This place is magical and very clean area. Totally recommend it.
This park is so beautiful. It was my first time there and when I started getting in, I was amazed by the beauty and peace of the place. You can only hear the water, wind, leaves and birds. Picnic tables are awesome and theres tenis courts. If you want to relax a little, this is the perfect place for it.
The view of the GWB is excellent. However, theres always an incredible amount of people here. Large groups of people in close proximity, many smoking pot, and several cyclists and people on street scooters riding carelessly through the park with no communication or concern for others, even moms pushing strollers. But since this is NYC, this is probably no surprise. There are families here, but I wouldnt bring mine.
Epic Site Crossing the Mighty River !Greenbelt access to the riverside & visit the Lighthouse & Cross over by foot or Bike or Mass transit to visit Fort Lee ,NJ where you can tour the Colonial Museum learning some American Revolutionary History..And Experience the views of Manhattan from the Palisades! Vibrant Communities and Plenty of Hospitality. You may choose from a variety of culinary experiences...✌️❤️
Great neighborhood with lots to do theres something for everyone. Lots of historic places to visit like the cloister and la marina where you can fish or just sit and enjoy the view of the the Washington Bridge 🌉. There are also many fine outdoor restaurants and bars with great atmosphere.
Really nice views of the river, downtown, the GWB and across to NJ and the Palisades. You can catch some cooler breezes on those summer days, and the sunset across the Hudson is a great way to relax in the evening. Its kind of a gem of a find compared to other area parks.
It is a great place to visit, relax, play tennin and bring you kids and pets. They have a very nice old red lighthouse. The only problem there is that even with a lot of signs saying to yeld to pedestrians still a lots of bicicles running around and you needs to be dodging them all day long
Great park if youre looking for basketball/tennis courts or a REALLY nice view of the coastline of lower New York and New Jersey.Located under the George Washington Bridge is this really nice and quiet park. Ive only been through 2 entrances which were the bike trail and a small trail that leads underneath the highway to the George Washington Bridge. Although you have to travel much more than you would with other parks, its well worth it when you see the beautiful view.People here are pretty friendly. Mostly encounter cyclists passing by as the park is conveniently located right on the West Henry Drive. Aside from that, theres always park events going on.
Great place to do a number of things. There are tennis courts, a volleyball court and a bike path. The Little Red Lighthouse is a good place to stop. The rest rooms near there are out of order, but there are port-o-sans. People fish from the rocks on the Hudson bank. Working water fountains are needed.
I came here with my daughter to see real live lighthouse. After reading wonderful book about this place. Here you have a picnic area, tennus court part of long trail. The way we came from 181st street is quite steep so have good walking shoes. But the view of the bridge and little red light house make the walk worth it. Be back soon. :)
This is the place to find the Little Red Lighthouse of storybook fame. The walk is wonderful and you feel transported away from the fact that you have crossed over a highway to get there. Once there, there is nearly no bad angle from which to take a picture. If you were a fan of the book as a child, be sure to add this stop to your bucket list.
A wonderful place for families and exercise enthusiasts to visit. There are bike paths, picnic areas, playgrounds and basketball courts. It is a massive free green space in Harlem, New York. It is clean, and has security that roams the park checking for trouble. I had a great day walking through this park with friends, and would return.
Was there to use the tennis courts. What a hike! Located under the GEorge Washington bridge. About 15-20 minute walk to tennis courts. On a lane shared with fast moving bikers. Theres gotta be another entrance Im not aware of...However, Beautiful scenery on the water once you get there.
Love the light house. We went with a school trip when the kids were younger. The area needs a good cleaning. They could also use a bit of security. There is no presence of any police or parks department patroling the area. If walking their from one Broadway there needs to be a be facelift. Not easy to get too.
Im afraid of heights. The new suicide fencing is reassuring in one sense; thought-provoking in another. The Hudson Valley sweeps through the countryside, littering rocks, water and sky in unmeasured quantities as it encounters a great human landmark. This is the best view of it all.
Whether you are a died-in-the-wool New Yorker or a newly arrived tourist this park is a must-see. It covers the northern tip of Manhattan and can be accessed from Broadway, the West Side Highway and the Henry Hudson Bridge. It is full of trails and old growth trees and Bald eagles have been raised in these woods during the past few years. I run in this park from time to time and it is relatively safe. It is well utilized even during a weekday early afternoon. During the seventies and eighties there were hobos, etc. living in the parks caves and crime was a problem but that is not the case now, although there was an NYPD poster on several trees during my last visit asking for information on the death in the park of a young woman. This is NYC after all. Dont leave without checking out the rock that memorializes the site of the sale of Manhattan way back when.
On this very site stood once a big mansion. Until early 1900s. Area is so nice u have the museum really nice. But u also HAVE A GREAT PLACE TO EAT AMAZING SET UP. NEW LEAF CAFE . NEXT TO IT THERES AN AMAZING MANSION STICKING OFF CLIFF. UNDER IT IS HENRY HUDSON. THIS HOUSE IS ONE OF KIND IN MANHATTAN. NO OTHER MANSION HAS ARCH BEAM STONE HOLDING HOUSE. MANY PEOPLE HAVE TO LOOK UP CAREFULLY BEFORE DYCKMAN EXIT NORTH BOUND TO SEE IT.

2022-04-20My favorite to go place which has lots of amazing views. It lies below the Washington bridge and on the side of beautiful Hudson river. There is lots of open space , playground, swings and other material for playing. This place is always crowded since most of the people go their for evening walk. Also this place is best for running and doing exercise. There is spot for family picnic as well. Absolutely a hidden gem on the bank of Hudson river.

2021-06-17Thunderstorm was approaching as I took my walk. Then this creepy guy in a black and yellow umbrella came and sat two feet from me. I had to move. So much space and he had to set up his chair right next to me. Lord have mercy!Seems like he was waiting for the rain so he can bath in it.Omg watch out for this guy if you ever walking and a storm is coming.NYC life is real! Watch out be safe. Blessings to all always!
