The Fortunoff store is beautiful and well organized. The staff was very helpful and I was able to make my purchase over the phone. I am very happy with what I ordered and I am looking forward to spending the summer on my deck! The reason I didn’t give five stars is because we won’t get our furniture for another 5 weeks and they don’t give the option to pick up the furniture yourself. They also charged us $135 for shipping which I think is unfair when they don’t give you the option to pick it up on your own. That added cost should just be included with the price tag.
Love our new patio set which was ordered in April but delivered in June which is understandable given the pandemic, the only drawback was the cushions didnt arrive with the order but we were never told, we were the told they would arrive early July, we called today to confirm and were told now late July, the disappointing thing is not so much the cushions being delayed more the lack of communication to the fact that they are delayed.Overall experience in the store was great, friendly and helpful sales staff.
They were very kind and professional. They were very helpful. I will definitely come back.
I absolutely love Norma!!! She will go above and beyond to help you. Buying outdoor furniture can be hard especially with all the choices you guys offer but she helps take the guess work out of it with her knowledge of all the furniture choices. Knowing how busy the store can get I will wait patiently for her, she has me spoiled & I don’t want to talk with anyone else…
My experience here was so short I dont want to give a single star because thats not accurate. The quality of the product looks good and prices are fair for solid wood furniture.The older saleswoman we had was horrific. She was only pointing out all negative attributes to each piece. How they werent available till whenever, how this one needed to be sealed. How wed need to pack up the umbrella after each use. These are all the realities of the choices we were considering. Thats not a problem at all.. nice things require maintenance. But, there wasnt a single positive thing said about the products. Not one. The attitude was as if she was doing us a favor by creepily following us around and making sure we didnt buy anything.We shop at Tiffany as well. I go in there sweaty and dirty with pockets full of sawdust and paid for my wifes engagement ring. Nothing but top notch treatment at 3 stores Ive frequented. My money is green just like the next guys.Ill be shopping online for my stuff from fortunoff or driving to a different store. The staff here clearly isnt interested in selling anything.If this was my salesperson, theyd be selling negativity and theyd be batting 1000 after today.

So glad that my husband and I stopped by the Poughkeepsie store today. We had been searching online for a patio table to replace our glass table that scattered during a storm last year. Sales Rep Sondra Ferrara was great. She was personable, patient and professional. She gave us space to look around on our own. Then patiently priced various sets and reviewed delivery time frames. I found the table that I really, really wanted! She then helped us choose just the right unbrella. I’ll be sure to recommend Sondra @ Fortunoff to the friends that I know will compliment us this new table.
I went in to the store looking for a backyard lounge chair and the so called manager of the store was totally not a good employee for business! I was going to purchase a floor piece that was on sale because one of the arms was broken. It had a little table attached to one of the arms to place a cup. Although one of the arms was broken I was still willing to buy it. I took it up front to pay for it and the manager said to me the table doesn’t come with the chair. She said you would have to pay for it if you want it. The chair was on the floor with the little table and no where on the ticket did it say table not included in price. When I mentioned that to her she said “the ticket wouldn’t say that” And it would be 6.99 extra if you want the table. I am a business owner myself and I would absolutely make a customer happy! So who the hell made this woman the store manager when she absolutely doesn’t have a business mentality! I decided not to buy it and walked out! I will contact corporate about my experience!
Weve been looking all over for a replacement outdoor umbrella and Fortunoff Backyard Store had a great selection, the best in the entire NY area. I called to get some help and spoke to both Norma and Sonni and they were both so helpful in selecting the right umbrella and base.They were terrific and the entire experience was great.
Excellent customer service. Wish the store had the items the website does and that Fortunoffs had availability on these items....small table and chairs for deck. I can have it by mid August, 10 weks from now....Not the stores fault.
The lady helping me in the Poughkeepsie location was an a absolute rockstar. She was kind, thoughtful and went out of her way to make sure I left with a product I was happy with! Highly recommend this location and I would promote her immediately!
The pricing is very confusing and misleading. The manager “Norma” honored the lower price immediately without hesitation. She had to refigure the price with only 2 swivel chairs on their antiquated computer software, all while training a new employee. The store had several customers getting impatient but she remained calm and professional.The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is the company’s misleading pricing, if the manager hadn’t been so polite and accommodating I would have walked and so would the couple behind us.

They were all very helpful and knowledgeable of the products they sell.Gregg even called me on his day off to give me an update on my delivery.If anyone is looking to purchase quality outdoor furniture please go into this store.You will not be disappointed.Thank You
The furniture is great, but way too many mistakes in delivery of items. I bought over $6,000 in outdoor furniture and it took about five returns to get it right. The one saving grace is the grace and customer service of the store manager, Lateef. If not for him I would’ve simply requested a full refund a shopped elsewhere, but now he’s leaving, so...

We purchased a new umbrella to replace one we bought from Fortunoff 5 years ago when we got our patio set. We were very pleased with the service and price. We will definately be returning to this store in the future.
I ordered my furniture and had some problem with delivery however Norma was fantastic!!!! I was having a dinner party the next day and she made sure I had furniture for them to sit on!! I would recommend anyone to go there and see Norma!
After leaving the store and confirming the furniture and all the measurements would work a simple phone call was made back to the store to complete our order.

My experience with a Poughkeepsie location was fantastic and it was mostly due to Tom’s professionalism and attention to detail. I can’t say enough about Tom as a manager in a customer service agent. He’s compassionate and effective. I recommend asking for him by name when you go to shop there.

2022-01-30We were pleasantly surprised while looking at backyard patio furniture. The selection was beautiful but it was Dave that truly got our business. He was friendly, knowledgeable, wasn’t trying to be a salesperson by overselling. We told him what we were thinking about and he worked with us to get the best deal possible on the merchandise we were interested in and stay in our budget. He’s definitely an asset to this store.

2022-05-29Alyssa and Danny were very knowledgeable about the products and answered all our questions in depth. I was very impressed with how much they knew. They were very welcoming unlike previous owners who made us feel like we were bothering them as soon as we walked into the store. Danny even helped bring things out to the car. Alyssa suggested items to us but was never pushy. Highly recommend this store as they have some really nice outdoor furniture and a great staff!

2021-12-31I would give Fortunoff in Poughkeepsie zero stars if I could. I purchased patio furniture from Norma Daza in August 2020. After only one season the furniture is falling apart. I either have to duct tape it or throw it out. I went back this fall and spoke to the current manager, Dave Lauture. He said it is normal to expect the wicker to start popping after one year and is unwilling to do anything. That is totally unacceptable. Today’s furniture won’t last forever but it is FURNITURE. It is not at all unreasonable to expect it to last more than one season. $2,000 down the drain. If Norma had been honest and told me not to expect more than one season before I would have to throw it out, I would never have made the purchase. Fortunoff has to misrepresent their products to trick you into buying them.

2021-09-16Purchased outdoor table chairs. Cushions were mixed manufacturer’s (USA-China) with different % of materials inside cushions creating a visual difference in cushion profile. Excuse after excuse waiting on exchange. Never to purchase here again. You can find better customer service at Cosco.

2021-05-24I love dealing with the Manager, Norma Daza, at the Poughkeepsie store. Last year we purchased a new table and chairs for my new patio that we built and Norma made it such an enjoyable transaction. She is very helpful and a pleasure to deal with so it was an easy decision where to go to buy furniture for my updated deck this year. We are so happy with our new chaise lounge chairs, table and outdoor rug. I highly recommend Norma and her team for your outdoor furniture needs.

2021-07-14Havent received anything yet, but my in store ordering experience was great. Sales associate was patient and helpful. Will review the products once received and used.Update...in store still great. Delivery...awful! Heavy table, chairs and umbrella just left without warning on back porch instead of down by pool. Other umbrella not delivered as promised, scheduled for following week. Just recieved call that it wont come for another week even though I bought the floor model! Ridiculous. Two other lounge chairs and table keep getting delayed via email, so probably wont have until next summer. Worst big purchase Ive ever made.
