A diner that’s been here and provided the classic diner experience “forever!” When on the South Shore you will find the Forum connects west to east and offers hot coffee and nice pancakes! Service is friendly and provides not and the diner is clean and spacious. You may not go here out of your way, but most certainly you will be satisfied if you stop in for any meal during the day!
Diner is clean, everyone is friendly, menu is huge.Benedict burger was so tasty and filling. There omelettes are always great, so is the chicken, eggplant and spaghetti meal.Large portions and prices are reasonable. They have delivery and pickup options if you dont want to eat in.
Ive loved going to this diner since I was in HS back in the 90s, only difference is you cant smoke inside anymore, lol. The waitresses are always awesome and I always get my favorite french toast, bacon and a hot chocolate with whipped cream, cant mess with the classics.
1st time ordering from the Forum Diner. We ordered baked and fried Tilapia dinners. Both meals were very scrumptious and prepared for take out in less than 30 min. I really hope they continue the excellent service. If they continue serving well, Im planning to continue being a well satisfied customer. =)
Food is pretty good. Cheaper than other local diners and the delivery guy in the grateful dead shirt is awesome. He literally takes a lot of care in making sure the food that is hot is not packaged with cold stuff(avoiding melted dessert and also makes sure all condiments and napkins utensils etc are with the order). He is always here pretty quickly and is super nice. If by chance the owner of forum reads this please know this is why I order from you guys on the consistent basis. Grateful dead guy totally deserves recognition and a paid day off or something.
A classic. Been going there since..well...forever. In my teens..those early morning pancakes after closing down the bars..Ahh..but! As an adult, still go there, the place still delivers..everything is good..spinach pie..burgers..breakfast..Think Classic diner, in the best of ways.
The Forum Diner is an old favorite of me and my wife. We have been going to the Forum for about 40 years, my wife and her parents even longer. Food is always very good, prices are reasonable and service is excellent. If you know Bayshore, you know the Forum Diner. If you are looking for a nice indoor dining experience this is it.
Havent been here in years since I moved back to the neighborhood. I decided to try something different on the menu and it was good. My friend also enjoyed her dish as well. The service was great. One of the better diners around the area I definitely recommend this for a good meal at decent prices.
The food was okay. A person who ate with me received old turkey bacon. I was happy I didnt order it because that was a serious turnoff. The staff immediately replaced it with fresh turkey bacon but for me the damage was done. The staff is very courteous and quick to help.
Went for dinner with a friend on Saturday 10/19/19 and received the worst service ever! I have been a customer at the Forum for many years, and always recommend it, but not any more. Our server was Karen, who had the personality of plywood. With that personality, lets hope she has a day job. She was incredibly impatient, and didnt even take the time to take our drink order! I had to get a busboy to get her so we could order coffee with our meals. She swung by once to see how everything was, but said it while walking by our booth, not even pausing for a moment.Didnt come back to see if we wanted desert or more coffee, and we were waiting for almost 20 minutes after our plates were removed to get our check, which by the way I had to obtain from the front register as our server Karen never reappeared. Have always enjoyed the Forum, but I wont return...Ill stick with the Oconee, 100% better service! (2-stars for the generic food)
We are visiting from out of town and met a local for lunch here. Inside was clean, orderly and everyone was professional and polite. Service was timely and the food was really good. Eggs Florentine and a Corned beef Reuben. Came out hot, quick and was perfectly cooked. Expensive for a diner but that is Long Island I guess. Despite the negative reviews our experience was outstanding. Would definitely return.
Got family breakfast here after a long trip and it was our best decision; good food, fast service, delicious orange juice, good coffee and our waitress (I apologize, I dont remember her name) was kind and always smiling (after hours driving you really love to find people doing their best to help and make you feel back at home). I loved this place
I use to work in the area back in the 90s. The Forum was always packed with a bunch of regulars because the food was delicious especially their specials. Last night I was in the area and decided to stop in the place was about a quarter full at 5:00. The food was mediocre at best although the service was great! Sorry all I can say is you lost your edge!
I frequent this place often, sometimes weekly, because I will admit it I love a diner..Like a Seinfeld episode what could be bad?.. but we all know they are out there,.. but not here The Forum has and they always are consistently good. Dare I say great diner fare. The staff is warm and greets you with a smile and I haven’t had a bad cup of coffee there yet.. which I cant say for some places.
Very good food. Weve eaten here 4 times. We had thanksgiving dinner it was great 17.00 you have a complete dinner soup, salad,Turkey and all the sides, wine, and dessert and coffee. The waiter Carlos was a great server. Id recommend this diner to everyone. Try it youll be happy.
This place is like going to Moms house...you feel like family from the wonderful service and the atmosphere is fantastic. I almost forgot about the food...all other burgers bow down in submission to the Forums cheeseburger deluxe! Cole Slaw is amazing and the chocolate pudding is a must-have! I go there at least once every two weeks and if you go you will too!!!
Friendly atmosphere and fantastic food.Great diner to take your family for an evening meal. The service is good and the place is really clean. Owners and servers are very accommodating. I cant understand the folks who ding a diner theyve been to ONCE for a service issue! If the food is good (which it is) you need to give them a chance to redeem themselves before labeling them a 2 or 1 star diner! There needs to be a limit issue to fault the diner for one bad instance of service. My servers are normally very attentive, refilling my coffee or water themselves every 7 or 8 minutes. Granted, they get bogged down on Sat/Sunday mornings and during the dinner rush, but find me a good diner that doesnt.

2022-01-11Ordered an Uber eats order. The portions are small very small and prices are very expensive. When you call and ask for an explanation, the staff attempts to blame you for the presentation. Will never order from them again. the picture is the baked potato they charged me 6,00 for and the other pic is the 8.00 they charged for me a grilled cheese.

2022-06-26One of my favorite diners. Accommodating service people who seem to never say, sorry we dont have that. In the land of never ending diners, this one stands out.

2022-02-10Food is just okay and very expensive. Matzo ball soup is almost six dollars. Got a very bland breakfast platter, eggs, homeless, toast. No taste at all. No ketchup, napkins, condiments, nothing. Was shocked that the employees were all walking around with no masks, and not even a sign on the door recommending them.

2022-02-25Onion soup was hot delivered but not good. watery butter thin with chopped onions croutons and a thinner cheap kind of mozzerella inside the soup not melted on top. overpriced 9.75 for the watery salt soup, bland soup. french onion soup is usually a dark caramel color with alot of carmelized type onions or other type of size onions and some spice, and can have a big piece of pumpernickel bread or other types of bread (some places make itvwith croutons)with mozzarella melted on top. the baba9na cream pie is not pie. the crust was not really a crust. it was more of graham cracker crumbs on the bottom with a whipped cream maybe mixed with banana flavoring(maybe little banana) tastes basically like whipped cream and crumbs for 6.75. and it didnt taste homemade. i was jipped. this is not banana cream pie. it should have alot of custard with half the pie in crust and alot of cream with banana slices on it.customer service nice on phone and did seal bag as requested.

2022-05-17We had dinner last week at this place. Unfortunately, the service was very slow and the quality of food changes tremendously in a bad way. Even the portions are very small!
