The bearded hipster behind the bar Thursday, 11.04 at 9:30 pm got upset after he intruded in a private conversation about politics and said some weird conservative stuff. He got angry and tried to kick me out of the bar after I 1) told him it was a private conversation and 2) told him I disagreed.
Cool little spot for catching up or just having a few drinks. Low key chill vibe that really makes you feel comfortable and they got good drinks. Just a solid bar all around if youre not looking to get too wild.Big plus, free popcorn for you to snack on while you chat!
Close to Barclays for drinks before and after shows/games. Happy Hour is $1 off of everything. Always changing there huge beer selection (tap and bottle). Friendly staff, free popcorn, balcony out back (no smoking), outside food welcome (food is delivered here all the time). The only problem for me but maybe not most is the people who bring there babies and kids. If I drinking I dont want to watch my language. Period.
I decided to finally check out this place since I always end up passing by it. So, earlier today, I just went it for couple of drinks when it wasn’t so badly packed or crowded.I was seated by a very courteous lady behind the counter who also treated not just me but everyone else in the bar very respectfully and politely.I ended up enjoying my drinks and thanks to the service of Ruth, she made everything genuinely pleasant. I recommend anyone to go to this pub and see it for yourself.
I love this place - it has a good beer selection for f youre like me and are quite particlar and only drink sour beers. The bartenders are always cool, polite and just nice people who want to be there.Perfect place to spend a few hours with friends. I wish I lived closer.
Dive bar in the absolute best way possible. Into moody 70s, 80s, and 90s music? This is the spot. Everyone is chill and minds their own business. Good place for conversation and meeting a few friends. Let your hair down, take off your makeup, wear sweatpants...no one will care.
Drink at this bar at all costs. The best bar in all of Brooklyn. Friendly staff who attend to patrons promptly and when you get to know them, buy you beers and welcome you back the next time. I saw Old Bay seasoning on the popcorn too. There are tons of other places to drink in the neighborhood, but dont waste your time or money at any of them.
Excellent neighborhood bar on the border of Park Slope and Boerum hill. Cozy vibe inside. Looks a bit divey, but the beer list is extensive, and they make a delicious cocktail for only $9 or $10. Free popcorn machine too! Not a sports bar, more a place to have a drink with a friend or two. Highly recommend.
Pre- Covid the pub was a sweet little spot to meet with friends & have a couple of drinks after work, or on the weekends. Post-Covid its still alive & well. They have a cute little area out back where you can have your friends meet. Dont forget to take a look at the walls thats beautifully decorated with wonderful memorabilia from the past.
Came in on a Sunday afternoon for a little day drinkingCraft beer bar; L-shaped main bar; few high tables to the side and a few booths in the back; above average whiskey selection; two TVs + music over the speakers; popcorn is offered as a snackThe bartender was friendly; prices were reasonable
Prices are very fair for the craft beers. Instead of serving everything in a pint glass and upping the prices, they serve beers in appropriate glassware and price it accordingly. This is also useful if you dont pay attention to alcohol content, as many of those micros are hella strong.Highly recommended.
Liked the atmosphere and free popcorn was nice but the bartender gave us some attitude for closing out the tab after each round of drinks (“Oh, so are you going to close this one out again even though you’re getting multiple drinks? It’s a good thing I’m not busy”)...Pretty rude way to treat a paying customer on a night where it was clearly not busy.

2022-05-15One of my favorite bars in this part of Brooklyn. Outdoor seating in the back with plenty of space. Great beer selection (Delirium on tap!) and solid service as well. Love the music and decor.

2021-07-23The homeliness of Cheers in a neighborhood near you! Friendly bartender and patrons who definitely know and appreciate one another. Juke box, pop-corner and al fresco seating on plastic picnic tables. Inside there are several booths isolated behind plexiglass partitions. The bathroom is a unisex single-seater with a chalkboard to obviate (hopefully) the graffiti which defaces nearby bars’ bathrooms. On July 20th, 2021 the Brooklyn Libertarian Party convened at this location.

2020-07-09It may look like your typical dive bar from the outside, but this places has one of the best selections of craft beer in the area. About 25 rotating taps and a pretty large selection of bottles and cans on top of that. The drafts tend to feature mostly American breweries. The bottles include most of the must-have Belgian beers. Cozy backyard during the warmer months and free popcorns!

2021-11-19So, I never leave bad reviews. I was just here, sat at the bar alone. Bartender is busy so Im waiting for like 5 minutes, and then they take a smoke break. Okay whatever. Im sitting there for another five minutes and a group of men shows up (Im a woman idk if thats relevant but it felt like it). The bartender comes back and immediately serves them. I guess the bartender didnt see me but like, I made eye contact with other guests and it seemed like they saw what happened. So I left because it made me upset.

2022-01-06They need better vetting of their new bartenders. After many years as a customer, I was treated discourteously by a new male bartender.I do not recommend this place anymore.
