It's almost a shame I had to take her out in this snowy weather!Grey beauty (my previous 2019 CR-...
Best car dealership customer service. The price quoted was exactly what we paid. Shawn was very professional and responsive to communications. Matt made the process smooth, efficient and explained every detail. Traveled 300 miles and was well worth it. Highly recommend Fox Honda.
I had a sudden low pressure warning pop up on my dashboard. I happened to be near the Fox Honda dealership in Auburn. I thought I would just look for a air pump. The service manager suggested I have my tires looked at. I ended up having nails in two tires. I had the repairs done and was able to drive back to Syracuse without worries.
I took a day trip(2.5hrs) to fox Honda in auburn to meet with Jake keough to look for a new commuter car for work and he got me into a nice Honda Accord exl for a great price and was extremely easy to work with and made the process simple and easy for me! I was there maybe an hour and half at most and left with my new car. Thanks again Jake and I recommend anyone to go do business with him.
Baught a car from these guys never got a car fax report untill TODAY from a different dealer showing that there was multiple accidents that WERE NOT reported to me when i baught the car less than a year ago. i paid 26 thousand dollars for a car that should have been cheaper the buying process seemed rushed the sales person gave a ton of attitude and on top of all that when i baught the car there was no prior detailing done in the car nor was there a car wash i took the car immidietly after buying it to wash it. This is really sad because my buying experiance at their chevy dealership was stellar i will never buy from these guys again
I put in an online purchase offer a month ago on a Ridgeline that was listed as available. Come to find out the truck was sold. I have been texted a few times by a salesperson on future incoming trucks. Yesterday I got a text that the dealership had a Ridgeline in stock with the equipment and color I wanted. I texted questions to confirm the options. My last question was what is the MSRP? The salesperson responded asking where I lived. I answered Rochester, which is 70 miles from the dealership. After not getting a response I called the dealership and spoke to the salesperson. She informed me I lived outside their sales area and I would have to pay $2000 more. REALLY. No way will I do business with a dealership that employs these type of deceptive sales practices.
This is the second time I got a car from them and their service department gives me a hard time about fixing issues that were there before I bought the car. Their waiting for myWarranty to be up so they don’t have to do it. I just bought it a couple weeks ago and I told them the tires are bald, needs new alignment , brakes are grinding and the muffler is loud. Don’t buy a car from here!
I made an appointment to look at and test drive a specific vehicle, for the following day (literally 24 hours in advance). We were about 15 minutes late for the appointment due to bad weather and received a text message asking if we were still coming. Upon arrival we were told the vehicle was sold. No possible way it sold in the hour they were open that day and that would be the only acceptable explanation for this situation. It still shows on their website, three days later. The lack of common courtesy to call and tell someone that the reason for their visit was no longer available and think were just going to purchase whatever they had sitting around is mind boggling. Did I mention we drove an hour and a half each way for nothing? We will not entertain any purchases in the future from any Fox dealerships. If you do, I hope you dont mind wasting your day away.
My wife and I have bought many vehicles form the Fox family of cars. I took my daughters car in yesterday morning to talk to Rob about trading it in. (to save her the usual back and forth battle) He and Shawn were great. In the past, I always felt that they low balled us on our trade. Very fair trade in value. Price on new CR-V was good. Took my daughter back after lunch to buy the car. They had us meet with Jacob. What a nice, knowledgeable guy.! IDK if its the new ownership, or the current situation we are all in, but my faith in our local dealerships has been restored. Thank You Fox for making what can sometimes can be a nightmare, an enjoyable experience,
Just Facts, no anger...Make sure when buying a car anywhere you do your homework. Watch some Dave Ramsey videos, check your Kelly Blue Book value, know your trade in value. A 2010 CR-V with 53K miles is never worth $14,995. I offered cash and trade equal to Kelly Blue book fair market. They came back with their offer - slightly down. I then thanked them for their time. They told me to wait, and came down $1100, but would not budge the additional $400 - that would bring in to KBB fair offer that I was more than willing to pay. No dice.I went 50 minutes south bought a 2011 with only 100k miles for 4k less. I highly recommend Cortland Used Cars. at 146 West Road. No trips back and forth to the manager. Normal humans. Real KBB Fair market prices
Purchased a used van there on Saturday and was supposed to pick it up at 6 on Monday. Called and talked with the manager to confirm the time and he said that it should be ready by 5:30. Drove 50 minutes and after waiting 2 hours I was informed that they could not finish detail cleaning. They said that they want to make sure that the vehicle was ready and clean 110% before we drive it home. They had me drive the vehicle back home anyway and 2 days later the sales person came to pick it up and brought back the same day. After he left I noticed that the vehicle was not cleaned not even 100%. There were dog hair, dog paw prints, some garbage in cup holders and inside the center console. It did not even seem that they vacuumed thoroughly I contacted my sales person and he said that he will talk to the manager about it. It has been 2 weeks and I have not heard anything from them. This is the worst service I ever received and I am very disappointed.
If I could give less than a star I would. Absolute worst dealership I have ever been to. Every employee/manager involved was either extremely dishonest or just incompetent at their job. Heres a list of events we faced while helping my girlfriend find a car:- My girlfriend had been talking to a salesperson over the phone about a car we had seen online. When we arrived at the dealership, we were being shown the wrong car, and then told that the car for which we travelled over an hour for had been sold. While we were in a visible fury, a manager came over and said that there was a miscommunication and that wasnt the case, and the car was still available. This was fine, miscommunication happens. No big deal.- Took the car for a test drive, and noticed that the brakes needed to be fixed, the interior was quite dirty so it needed a detailing, and one of the wheel covers was scratched and cracked so it needed to be replaced. Again, no big deal, all pretty standard stuff, and we were promised all three issues would be resolved before getting the car.- Car was purchased on a Saturday, and we were told the car could be picked up the following Monday afternoon.- Monday comes, and my girlfriend made the hour and a half drive to the dealership to get her car. When looking over the car, it was clear the car had not been detailed whatsoever, and the interior was actually worse. Then, when asked to make sure the brakes had been fixed, the salesperson stated that they had been, and that he drove it earlier and they were good. Shortly after that, another employee mentioned that the brakes had not been checked in 6 months, making it clear that the salesperson blatantly lied. On top of that, the damaged wheel cover had not been replaced yet. Needless to say, the promise that the car would be ready on Monday was not kept, just like the promise that the existing issues would be fixed, so my girlfriend was not able to pickup her car that day, and instead had her time completely wasted after driving 90 minutes there.- Since my girlfriend was expecting to pick up her car as promised, and the car was not actually ready to be picked up, she was between vehicles, and thus needed a vehicle to get to and from work and other obligations until the car was ready. Fortunately, she was paying for the dealership warranty which included a rental vehicle that would be provided and paid for by the dealership. Unfortunately, the Fox Honda team decided that they didnt like that idea, and tried everything to prevent that from happening, but ultimately failed considering she had already signed the contract for the warranty.- Lastly, during the events on that Monday, the salesperson that had sold the car to my girlfriend was extremely unprofessional and had even screamed at his co-workers in the midst of the issues he caused.- Since then, we have also found that the heatshield under the car was not attached properly when it left the dealership just to add to the list of issues.Overall if you are thinking about buying a car from Fox Honda - dont. If you are thinking about recommending the dealership to someone else - dont. If you think you can change my mind about the dealership - you cant.I have not seen nor heard of such an embarrassment of a car dealership, and will deter anyone and everyone from purchasing a car from there.
By far the best car buying experience I’ve ever had.Thank you to Chris Schneible for taking the time to listen to me. You helped me find the perfect car for my own needs and then you took the time to make sure the entire buying process was smooth and easy to understand. I appreciate you and I will be recommending all of my family and friends to you in the future. Thanks again, Chris!
My boyfriend drove 3.5 hours to look at a truck that they sold the day before - no call. Sarah told us as soon as we walked in that they sold the car but that she would get a manager - a salesman by the name of Freddie was the ONLY good experience we had.He found the same truck my boyfriend was interested in, $3000 more with 10k more miles on and refused to honor the same offer he was offered three days via email before. We should have listened when everyone told us to stay clear. I will be letting everyone know about this when looking for a new car.
I purchased a 2018 ram, I noticed on the test drive that the rear brakes were bad and I visually inspected them after. For sure 100% needed rear brakes, they told me that the truck was discounted to much and they wouldn’t install new ones. I proceeded to show them my NYS inspection certification and asked why and who placed an inspection sticker on the windshield and thought it was safe. They them scrambled to install rear brakes of course .. they also listed a bed liner on the website as an installed option adding value. There I’m fact was not one , when asked about where the liner was and I would like to have it, I was told it’s not going to happen. This place is an absolutely frustrating place to deal with. Their service department practices extremely unsafe operations and is allowing people to drive off the lot with unsafe vehicles at a premium price. Buyer beware!! The only saving grace for anyone who may do business there in the future is that it was recently sold to another buyer, I hope they in turn release any and all employees from their establishment of their duties and hire actual qualified, certified, educated people to replace them . I have never delay with such blatant lying and disrespect. I have for sure told everyone I know and all social media to avoid this place and save the hassle. Your best bet is to do your own research and decide if your hard earned money has value to it, or would you rather just hand it all away to a company practicing criminal , negligence.
Just purchased a 2014 Toyota Highlander on Tuesday 1/26/21 I test drove it on the day before the front bumper was unclipped the salesman’s knew about it and it also has a noise coming from the rear wheels when I called to pick it up I was told everything was fixed but turns out it’s not the bumper actually has broken clips so it just keeps popping out every time I drive It I call them to see what they can do and they want to charge me for fixing the bumper or split the cost of it, i shouldn’t have to pay anything the issue was already known when I test drove it. I drove an hour and 20 minutes to this dealership to get bad service. And the service department people are just as bad they speak to you as if you’re bothering them because you want to get your car checked. Definitely disappointed after I went so far to this dealership.
Bought a 2018 Dodge Ram less than a month ago from Fox Honda the Sales team was Great this is the second vehicle I purchased from them. However their service department is the complete opposite. I found out that the rear charger/cigarette lighter wasn’t working so I made a appointment and brought it in. A hour and a half later they come back and say it wasn’t a fuse(would of taken anyone 5 minutes to check) then they told me I had to go to fox dodge because they couldn’t touch it any further. Sure I go to fox ram and get told to hurry and make a appointment within the next week and a half or it was fox hondas responsibility. So I just literally wasted a hour and a half. Why would you even make the appointment for me just to tell me you couldn’t touch my vehicle pretty much just for me to go to ram to get told to hurry and schedule a appointment because Honda will have to take care of it in 12 days. They should take some pointers from Lebraun Nissan on how a service department should be ran!
I always go to Fox Honda for my cars. Ive recommended several friends to go there and they, too, are now faithful Fox Honda customers.I called to see if it was the best time to trade in my car because the warranty had expired. I got an appointment and when I got there a car had been picked out for me that I absolutely love. Jesse Appell was the Fox representative I worked with and he was fantastic. His attention to detail and his ability to get things done in a good and timely manner was perfect. Due to my schedule I had to leave and came back later in the day and everything was ready to go. Love this dealership and love my car.5 stars arent enough to rate Fox Honda in Auburn.
My windshield wipers stopped working. When I tried to contact Honda, the phones just kept ringing. I drove over and right away Andy took it upon himself to assist me after telling him I couldnt get through. He squeezed me in that day to check what was wrong. It was my motor. I greatly appreciated his help on this. They ordered the motor and my car was serviced the next day. It was nice to see such amazing customer service from a manager in a service department. Both Andy and Joanne were amazing.
The salesperson I worked with, Sara, was great. No aggressive and/or deceptive sales tactics. I hope to pick my car up this Saturday. Keep an eye on the pricing/payment information given by the finance manager. I found some inconsistencies in what he provided Sara and myself. Note: Sara was very receptive to me pointing this out and went back and returned with the correct costs.Update:One year later and Im still very pleased with both my Honda Civic and with the automotive service department at Fox Honda. Everyone in the service department works very hard to make car maintenance as positive an experience as possible. Some examples:1. When having my cabin air filter replaced, the technician was not able to open the glove compartment. Instead of just saying it was stuck and not changing the filter, the mechanic determined that there was a pack of AA batteries jammed behind the glove compartment and was able to somehow remove it without opening the compartment door and do the work.2. After having a wheel alignment done, the technician (Lou) not only showed me the computer-generated readout indicating the specs before and after the work was done, but also personally and happily answered my questions regarding the adjustment process.3. While having my snow tires switched out, I observed as the woman from the service desk came out to the waiting area, physically knelt down so she could be at eye level with another (elderly female) customer, explained the work that needed to be done and the cause of the issue (rust on the brakes), and personally arranged a shuttle ride for her to be taken home and then picked up when the work was done.4. When Ive had work done here, Ive always been given an estimate before the car was worked on, and the actual cost has never deviated from the estimate they provided.5. Fox Honda service has always been honest about what work needed to be done, and they have taken my car in promptly and completed the necessary work expeditiously.6. The service department obviously works as a cohesive team to both communicate with the customer and do great work on the car.Needles too say, I highly recommend Fox Honda Service.
The process of buying a car at Fox Honda was by far the easiest, most enjoyable, and satisfying experience Ive ever had. I negotiated the entire sale from the comfort of my home!!! I was given an incredible price for both my trade-in and my new vehicle! Your staff is top notch in every single step of the buying process. I will highly recommend you to all of my family and friends and when the time comes for my next new car, I will be a repeat customer. Thank you!
This is one of the best dealerships in the area. The staff are attentive and legit care about the concerns of their customer base. I bought a car and have had work done on my vehicle with this dealership and that really went above and beyond to take care of everything start to finish. Highly recommended if youre in the market for a Honda vehicle or if you have work that you need to have trustworthy people working on your motorized investment!
I setup a test drive for a used car that ended up selling before I made it in for my appointment. They contacted me to see if I was interested in test driving any other cars for a $50 gift card. I said I would be interested in driving the new version of the car to see how it feels. After taking the new car for a test drive they seemed confused on why I wouldn’t want to buy a new car. Obviously because it cost $5,000 dollars more. After much back and forth about the issue the sales person started to get frustrated and angry about why I wouldn’t want the new car or settle for a different car that I didn’t want. Instead of developing positive relationships with customers they pushed me away. Why would I ever return and deal with that again, even if they ended up getting new inventory I wanted. As for the $50 gift card it was never brought up. This companies corporate culture needs a lot of improvement.
WOW, such a nightmare experience with this dealer. I was originally quoted an excellent price over the phone, which was when everything started going downhill. I was very clear on the vehicle I wanted (color, additional features, etc) and was told that it had to be located. Apparently, it was located no problem, but the dealer would not give me any information about the car. I tried for days to obtain the VIN number, original location, and when it would arrive, but could not get any information. After many days of not receiving any news or information, I finally got a VIN number from the dealer and that the car would have to be driven 100 miles. When I looked up the car online, it was the wrong color and located at a dealership 150+ miles away. I was extremely frustrated and when I spoke with the dealer about it, they said Oh, we thought that was the color you wanted. Yea right! I told them at least 4 times! Needless to say, I cancelled the deal and am still waiting for them to refund my deposit.Too bad they lost out on the deal. I contacted some other nearby dealers and was able to make a great and quick sale on a vehicle. This dealer also had to have the vehicle driven to them, but from the time I contacted them to when I picked up the car was 2 days. They were also very transparent about the entire process. Now that is how it should be done.
I had endless questions, all of which were answered. They went above and beyond to accommodate us. There was only 1 hiccup (requesting a $150 relocation fee for a car that was there when we made our appt. to buy -- not to look-- but was then sold, so they had to get another one from another dealer). They ultimately waived it after an ultimatum, but otherwise, were perfectly helpful, reliable and gracious. The car we bought is great and I would buy from them again without question. Everyone was very pleasant and decent. Just get everything in writing (email).
I am so happy I went here. They had a large number of cars in the model I was looking at, to choose from. They greeted me instantly upon walking into the showroom and brought me to Ian. He is an asset to their dealership. He was extremely knowledgeable about the cars, got right down to business. None of this wasting my time waiting around. We had made the deal in no time. When I went to pick up my car it was waiting for me all ready to go, paperwork all attended to. Any delays were on my part. Ian walked me through every aspect of my new car, even going over something a second time if I was unsure. I will definitely go back there for my next car even though there are other dealerships closer to me. Thanks Ian! You made the car buying experience I dread, so much better.
Its a car dealership.... Need I say more.Update:I changed my previous review. Fox Honda and their sales staff were very helpful in getting a new Honda CR-V. They were able to beat another local dealerships price and gave more for the trade. All in, we were in and out in less than 1 hour.
This is by far one of the best dealerships Ive ever been in! Everyone who works here is extremely friendly and made all of transactions quick and easy. I bought a 2016 Honda Civic and within a year the battery died. With Honda Care they came and picked up my car and replaced my battery all free of charge and within an hour! I live in Syracuse and theyre 2 dealerships that are fairly close but I choose to do my business here in Fox Honda in Auburn NY. Love you guys. Thank you!!!
Disclaimer- 1 star is unfortunately the minimum to write a review.I absolutely will never buy another vehicle from FOX after today. After their 4th attempt at fixing the same problem on my Chrysler 200, today I was picked up by their shuttle vehicle to go retrieve my supposedly finished car, backing out on to the road the driver backed in to another car. Not only does the service department not seem to be very apologetic that they keep returning my car without fixing the problem but the driver couldn’t even be bothered to ask if me, his passenger/customer was alright. This post doesn’t even begin to describe my negative interactions with Fox’s Service department, as of lately, but it’s a brief summary of my disgust.
PAY FOR WHAT YOU DONT NEED!This is the anti-Liberty Mutual experience.Beware when they try to convince you that you need something as ridiculous as having your doors rotated.I called both parts and service asking the price for parts and labor for replacing the timing belt on my 2007 Accord. I was given $450 for the parts and $900 to do the entire job.FACT: THE 07 ACCORD HAS NO TIMING BELT TO REPLACE. Instead, it has a timing chain which lasts the life of the engine. (I learned this from the honest local mechanic of whom I also approached.)THE PROBLEM IS THAT TWO SEPARATE DEPARTMENTS QUOTED ME TO REPLACE PARTS THAT MY CAR NEITHER HAD NOR NEEDED.THIS IS CLEARLY A COORDINATED POLICY OF DECEPTION.THE BIG QUESTION IS WHAT WOULD THEY DO IF I HAD AGREED? ID BE HANDED A BILL FOR WORK THAT ABSOLUTELY COULD NOT BE DONE!!!
Wasted my time and energy!Beware when trading valued my trade at auction whole sale price, which happens to be about 50% below KBB value. After negotiating in person (at the store) for over 1 hour, the sale person attempted to collect a debt card deposit, stating he could not continue unless I did. We did not reach a deal because I refuse to give money to them prior to agreeing on a price. I was preparing to purchase the vehicle, without my trade, but changed my mind after being told a had to make a deposit with them to negotiate!I drove 2 hours, prior to scheduling an appointment they promised a $50 gift card for taking a test drive... never received the card. They can keep the promised gift card and send the staff to additional training on ethics and customer service relations.
Is Fox Scamming You?It’s getting more and more difficult to find good customer service at dealerships any more. Fox Honda isn’t an exception. Even though I made an appointment to look at a car that was on their lot, I had to wait for them to find a salesperson to tell me they had already given it to another dealer. Though they were fair in my request to get another one for me to test drive, they started treating me as a profit margin rather than a potentially returning customer from Fox Subaru. The price negotiation didn’t start with the MSRP of the new car; I had to negotiate them down to MSRP by thousands with Honda’s own calculator after their “final numbers” blantenly used fuzzy math to inflate the purchase price. My experience continued to be substandard when my salesperson lied (easily verified from a quick call to their parts department) about dealer-installed options and turned his customer care responsibilities to another salesperson who sales-pitched mods that void warranties. Proving how much their customer care could get worse, their Sales Manager described their employees’ usage of personal cell phones to insist on detailed pictures of Driver’s Licenses be sent to them as part of their “policies and procedures.”When you have to double check their numbers, double check their misleading and lying statements, and wonder what their employees are doing with pictures of Driver’s Licenses on their cell phones, can you trust they’re not running a scam?
My overall experience was very good. There was the typical haggling auto dealers do for each sale, but I expected that; there is no reason to complain about that aspect because every dealer does it and short of a general business model change (ie. Saturn business model), auto dealers will always do this.I actually used a Fox Toyota sales associate, Jamie Parker, and was very pleased with him. I would recommend Fox advertise the fact that if a buyer has a working relationship with a certain sales associate, regardless of where their primary dealership is, than that sales associate can be used for other Fox dealerships. It could potentially keep possible buyers within the Fox dealership family. My only real ding to my experience was the exterior appearance of the vehicle when I picked it up. The real bumper applique was bubbled and I am now in the process of getting that reapplied correctly. Also, the undercoating, although fully applied (from what I can see getting only my head under the car) was inconsistently applied. Some material was so thick it formed icicles on the driver side of the vehicle. I will take these issues up separately from this review.Overall the sales experience was very good and I would recommend Fox Honda. Now just work on the haggling process and your dealer would be an excellent pick.
I love my new car! However....I have NEVER bought a car that didnt come with a full tank of gas! Unfortunately, it wasnt until I was part way home and the gas light came on that I realized this.....I had to stop for gas while driving my new car home!!! Some other issues involving my interest rate and trade in. I will never return to Fox Honda !!!! So to add to my bad review....dont bother trying to call and discuss things.....calls will not be returned and emails will go unanswered . I plan to tell all of my friends and family to avoid Fox Honda! They care about selling you a car, but dont care about making things right if they treat you badly!
If I could rate this dealership any lower than 1 star, I absolutely would. My experience with Fox Honda has been atrocious and the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had with car sales. To sum it up, the communication was absolutely absent. I brought in an leased car that I was trying to get out of and find someone to buy it out, which I was told on the phone and then again many times in person that the dealership was purchasing it to sell on their own lot. They said I had about $200 equity in the old leased car, which they deducted from the new lease deal I was opening with them. I asked specifically if I was going to need to pay my old miles since they were buying it out and I was told I wouldn’t have to worry about it. All of a sudden I get a bill from the old lease because Fox Honda didn’t actually buy the car as much as they lead me to believe that. They called a local Acura dealer who came to pick it up instead and the car was then taken to the Syracuse auction. So now I paid thousands of dollars in fees and a downpayment for the new lease I opened with Fox Honda AND I owe thousands for the mileage I was told was taken care of and not to worry about. To add to that, we were also given a lemon at first after several inspections and guarantees it would be fine. There was a dome light issue, tire light came on the first day I took the car home, and then after they inspected it AGAIN I got a flat minutes after leaving the dealership’s service department. This wouldn’t be a huge issue had I purchased an old car, but it was a 2019 HRV with maybe 200 miles on it. These issues should not have ever happened had it gone under proper inspection. They swear they inspect the car before you take it, they inspected it after the tire light came on, and after I came back a third time with a flat and the tire light never came back on, I left with a different vehicle because I didn’t feel safe or that I was treated fairly OR that I could trust the service department to do their job.I spoke with Justin several times throughout these experiences and he has been slimy, rude, and VERY unclear about every single thing he worked with us on. I wouldn’t trust that guy with ANYTHING. I spoke to him on the phone yesterday regarding my concerns on the vast miscommunications that happened under his watch and directly from him and he began the phone call with, “You knew this bill was coming, Taylor, come on.” It was incredibly rude, accusatory, and truly felt like he was intentionally talking down to me because I’m a young woman. My husband tried calling yesterday, but Justin was so conveniently out of the office for the day minutes after we hung up the phone, so my husband requested for a call this morning. On their phone call, Justin actually raised his voice and began yelling at my husband, while my husband was frustrated but kept his calm. Not so professional, Justin. I would genuinely like to see Justin and any other employee at Fox Honda treat a middle aged white male this way or try to be sneaky with a deal with someone fitting that demographic. I guarantee it wouldn’t happen. All in all, I’ve had the worst experience leasing a car from this company and would HIGHLY DISCOURAGE everyone and anyone from doing business with Fox Honda or any Fox dealership. They won’t be true to their word, they won’t do right by you as a customer, they won’t respect you as a customer or human, and they may not even sell or lease you a reliable or trustworthy product no matter how many inspections they’ve done.
This was my first car buying experience. I went to other local Honda dealers who couldnt get me in a car fast enough. It was your typical sales push and it was an immediate turn off. When I got to Fox, I sat down with Paul and he started asking me questions to find out more about me and what kinds of things we of value to me. It was so refreshing because he was genuinely taking an interest in making me happy vs. selling a car. I ended up with the exact car I wanted. There is no doubt that I will be back for another one when my lease is up.
Purchase a pre-owned vehicle and had the pleasure of dealing with Chris Stevens. Process was easy. I never once felt like I was anything but a valued customer throughout the entire experience. Jeff in the finance depart was also notably professional and friendly. Everything about the experience was exceptionally pleasant and would recommend the dealership to friends and family without hesitation. Great to due business with a local company that employs trust worthy employees. Thanks for everything!
This is the worst dealership i have ever seen. The sales agent even do not know the interest rate when they brought me the price. They just tell you the price without giving derails. In fact, my breaking point with them was the deposit, i called lots of time to initiate refund process, everytime they said they will respond me back they did not. It took me more than 1 months to get my refund back. Evemtually i had to go to the dealership two times to get my refund. This kind of unprofessionalism should not bethere. After i have seen other comments and my experience, i am fortunate that i did not buy the car from them.
It’s my first time writing a review for anything. I live far away, but had been a loyal customer since I thought the service was good. 3 weeks ago, I had low tire pressure issue. First time in, they said it may be because of cold weather. I had tire pressure problem again week later. When I brought it in, they said I have a nail in my tire and told me to replace it. Then another week later, the same light was back on. I don’t expect them to be thorough in their service and inspection. Since I can’t trust them with my car’s safety, I’m done with this place. They weren’t going to be responsible about it either. Would give less than 1 star if possible
I really enjoyed my experience working with Matt, and the whole team at Fox Honda. Matt was knowledgeable, and also patient, while I asked a hundred questions about the car itself as well as the process of leasing. Because of his ease at answering questions and the great experience, I left with my new 2017 CR-V EX very comfortable and happy with my purchase.
Recently leased a 2018 Honda Accord from Fox Honda, and truly enjoyed the experience! Great service and support from the sales team to the management team to the finance team. I worked with Matt Willsey during the sale who was always professional and very friendly. I would recommend to anyone in the area who is looking to buy or lease a new/used vehicle.
This place is clean and well lit. Financing is available. The salespeople may not give you a fair price because they are not allowed to by management. The predatory sales practices of this store, as described by a former employee who is also a friend of mine, are something from the 1980s. Go here with both eyes open. Fairer pricing, especially on used vehicles, would encourage me to recommend this dealership.
Shawn and Ryan were extremely helpful. Shawn listened to what I was looking for and found exactly that. He didnt try to push an alternative vehicle as an option. He answered all my questions and presented the information clearly. I appreciated his patience and taking his time with the decision process.
Tl;dr: Their finance team is pushy, rude and tries to sell you things at very high markup (dont buy their extended warranty, search online and youll see other Honda dealers sell it for cheaper).Lets start this review with the good: 1) I did purchase a car and 2) It was at a price we were happy with. That being said, I would never go back here. In fact I regret ever going here, and wish I had bought my CRV at Honda City. We had already test driven there and determined we wanted the CRV, but because a coworker knew someone who worked at Fox, they thought we might get a better deal at Fox. Who knows. The sales rep was a bit odd, telling me that I asked some questions that she had never been asked and that I had some weird pet peeves (I wanted to know if I could turn off the automatic door locks). The sales manager was ok, but I think that all of the men are required to dress in an odd way thats not conforming to the dress of today (suits, rings, slicked back hair like theyre in the mob). Whatever. The problem lies that once youve agreed to buy a car, they want you to talk to their finance manager (who does more than finance). I cant remember his name, but he insulted me a few times. He told me he would punch me if my credit was better than his, which it was (Weird, Im not your friend). He really pressed hard to sell me the extended warranty etc packages, which they just try to rip you off with. For one, they cost double what they do at other dealers. Really, look online and ask Hyannis Honda for a quote. You can get the work done anywhere in the country so why buy it from them? The finance manager cant even tell you the prices for the different tiers (and probably there are 15 different options). It will take him probably 5 minutes just to figure out a few of them. So its weird that they cant have a standard price. I tried to take the paper home to look at the coverage, and he wouldnt let me. We argued over many things, like Ziebart vs. their rust protection, how likely parts would fail, etc. EXTREMELY PUSHY. It was very hard for me to remain calm in my conversations with him, because of how aggressive he was. We also had an offer to get free $50 for doing a test drive, which they never gave us until I finally contacted them. Finally, our CRV had a strut problem, so we took it into Honda City. If I had bought it there, they would have given me a free loaner. Theres no way Ill go back to Fox for work as its also far away beyond these other issues, so Im screwed out of that.I reviewed them on pickup of the vehicle. The salespeople said they had heard similar reports. I wished we had just backed out of the sale.
The customer service was fantastic. I never felt pressured or that I was jumping into a quick decision. Everyone who helped me from Fred (salesman), to David (Business Manager) to Spencer (Customer Service who went over all my paperwork) was beyond friendly and very helpful. My car buying experience was actually one of the most fun experiences I have ever had when making a large purchase.
After shopping around many dealerships, my husband and I finally found our dream vehicle. The sales rep was very friendly and did not make us feel rushed. We told them what we could afford and they worked with us so well! Brought the price (for an amazing vehicle) down almost $2000! Amazing experience. Will recommend to friends and family.
Recently had a wonderful experience at Fox Honda. Every person we encountered was both pleasant and helpful. Both the salesman Drew and the manager Tyler created a relaxed, no pressure buying environment. We are very happy with our purchase of the 2016 CR-V. We will most certainly be taking our future business there and recommend you should to.
Justin was awesome from the initial meeting right through to me driving off the lot with my new Honda Civic. He went above and beyond to show me cars on a frigid day. Went over my options and was very thorough with the paperwork. Dave in financing was just as great. he made sure i understood the car buying process and went over every question I had. I will definitely use Fox Honda in the future as well as send all my friends there.
My salesman was not great. He disappeared when I was taking possession of my Honda Fit. However, the rest of the Fox Honda staff I dealt with, including the salesman who walked me through the paperwork, was friendly and helpful. If it wasnt for the staff stepping in, it would have left a really bad taste in my mouth over the experience. And I work in customer support at my own company. I wasnt expecting anything overly complicated.
Working with my salesman Dick was a pleasant experience. He seemed to have my best interest in mind. He knew what I could afford and worked with me to get the monthly payment I was looking for. He took care of everything including insurance for me in a timely fashion. He also delivered my car to me at my home because it was harder for me to get to the dealership having two young children. Im extremely impressed with him and the way FOX runs their business!!
Parts department needs some training and work. Nasty and unprofessional attitudes arent necessary. I ordered a part from Fox Honda which the honda tech ordered wrong. I did not tell them to reorder or deliver parts after that unless I spoke with my partner. They reordered parts anyway and then sent them down not per me they dealt with someone else on behalf of our company. By that time job had been completed done and gone. I went to return the items that we didnt need and they were very cocky and rude when I did so. They also tried to tell me that we order parts and dont pick them up or forget them. Well sometimes with business that does happen and one of the parts they tried to tell me that never got picked up was picked up by me and that job has been long gone and done. Secondly what does that have to do with the current situation. NOTHING!!
On 9/22/17, I went online to notify nearby Honda dealers that we were looking to drive home a 2017 Honda CR-V EX by the end of the month. After price negotiating with 5 different Honda dealers, we drove home with exactly the vehicle we we wanted on 9/29/17 at a great price. It was such a good price that one of the other Honda dealerships told us that we should buy two at that price :) Our salesman at Fox Honda, Dick Royea, was wonderful. He was not pushy and was very knowledgeable. I also got to meet Jane Fox (the lady in the commercials) and her dog ( that she had in her office). Jane couldnt have been any friendlier. But what I liked most was how complimentary she was of her entire staff. Thanks again to all the Fox employees I met that day who helped make our purchase as enjoyable as a car purchase can be... Happy in Oswego, Carla and Mike
If you enjoy a day of unnecessary and frustrating haggling, then it’s worth the drive to Auburn to buy your Honda at Fox. I bought my last three cars here, and the experience was the same each time. The haggling routine is straight out of the 1940s (think Ralphie’s dad buying a Christmas tree only taking many, many more hours). It is this odd negotiation between customer and manager; yet, the sales person mediates between the two, like a sad teenager of divorced parents arguing over child’s support. The sales person presents a ridiculous first offer; customer rejects offer, ignoring the pouty sale person; customer awaits second offer outside the manager’s fishbowl – a room decked out as a war room of sorts. The customer will get a reasonable offer somewhere around the fifth or sixth round - at the height of your exasperation. Add hours to your wait while they process paperwork. Even with impeccable credit, bank preapproval, and working your insurance company on their behalf, the customer will constantly babysit the process with toe tapping and asking, “what’s next?” as each buying experience seems like the first time for the staff. I often wonder if they hate seeing the cars go, or if the customer needs to prove they have the endurance to truly deserve the car. And, just when you think you’re done, paperwork almost in hand, they’ll decide to clean the car or take hours finding a way to transfer your plates. Try not to scream, “What the heck have you been doing all day?” It doesn’t help and you look crazy. Just know, they’ll start moving more quickly once they get closer to closing time. My advice: get there early, expect to be there until closing, prep your haggling game because it will be discouraging and demoralizing, walk to Panera (gratefully next door) to keep your energy up, be resigned to drive back the next day because something will be mishandled, and know that driving a Honda almost makes it all worthwhile.
Terrible from start to finish. Didn’t detail the car (smelled like wet dog, windows all caked with adhesive), marketed the vehicle having supreme BOSE system but didn’t bother to check if any of the speakers were busted and the icing on the cake was when they sent my title and registration to the wrong address. They were unapologetic about all of these things. Great price but at the expense of cutting corners and just wanting you to buy and get out. I had to pay to get my car detailed and drive all the way back to Auburn for them to fix the speaker. And now I’m running around to the DMV for the title and registration and paying out of pocket. I do not recommend.
After shopping around for cars it was such a nice relief to arrive at Fox Honda. A car is a big investment, and Fox Honda understands that. They were patient and never pushed me into anything I didnt want. The weather was awful outside and they had the cars I was interested in test driving warmed up, brushed off and ready to go. I am in love with my new Honda and would highly recommend this dealership to anyone who is interested in buying a car.
Eff was a wonderful help. within 2 days of totaling my car he was already searching and found a replacement meeting my wants! He reached out to me and let me know and I was thrilled that someone was helping so quickly understanding I needed to get a vehicle asap. When I went in to meet with Justin Farr, I was floored by his knowledge and skills. He was wonderful. Justin told me I could come back at anytime when I received my phone to set it up with him. He took 45 min later that night when I came back to go over everything with me. I am absolutely satisfied with these 2 individuals and I will defiantly recommend Justin Farr to friends for future purchases! Thank you Fox Honda for making my 3rd purchase with you...A GREAT ONE!!!!Brandy
Brought my 2015 honda pilot in with 50k on it because it wouldnt start or take a jump. Fox Honda diagnosed it as a blown main fuse and failed battery, but provided no clue as to why that would have happened (car has been driving sparingly due to COVID). We picked up car late in day as they were closing and noticed radio and HVAC displays werent working but Fox Honda didnt bring it back in because they were closed. They did not bother to check/reset the radio after a battery swap like you have had to do with every Honda for the last 20 years. Tried resetting it myself with no luck so brought it back to Fox Honda and they couldnt reset it either and want to charge me a separate diagnostic fee for what I believe to be a related problem, and bring it in for a 3rd time. Very disappointing experience and I will be taking my honda elsewhere in the future.
I had a ball joint replaced by my local mechanic and was concerned about a scraping noise. I thought it would be more convenient to run my car over to the Fox Honda Service center to have them diagnose it and possibly do a simple fix. After waiting for an hour, the manager, Andy Miller, came out to tell me the bad news. The new ball joint I just had done in the past 24 hours had split in half. It had been installed at the wrong angle and pressure from driving had cracked it till it eventually gave away. This was an extreme safety issue since my wheel could have fallen off. Unfortunately, he couldnt possibly let me drive it away until it was replaced. Now, at that time, I knew positively nothing about a ball joint. He scared me with a terrible lie, made me lose all faith in my mechanic, and of course, I had the repair redone. The next day I picked up my car, and the defective part, and went out to my mechanic who had promised to issue me a refund. That is when I discovered that I was bringing him a perfectly good part. There was nothing wrong with the part they replaced. My documentation from the service center said it had been sheared. I called Andy that minute to find out exactly where the part was supposedly sheared. He replied, Well, I dont know if I would use the word sheared... Um, you did. Then he changed his story to there being a 1/2 of movement - also an impossible fact, according to my mechanic. I was now extremely upset that I had paid twice for the same repair. It took two phone calls, two days, and my refusal to give in, for Honda to issue me a refund. They wanted to change out the parts initially but I no longer trust them anywhere near my car. Also, the customer relations manager was extremely rude to me both times I talked to her about the situation. Threatened me with blacklisting my file with Honda and said she couldnt guarantee how that would affect me in future being able to have my car serviced...as if I ever want to return there anyway. Honda has not admitted that they were wrong, they have not apologized for the lying and thievery, and nobody would see me no matter how many times I requested to speak to customer relations in person. It was a time consuming, frustrating, and unnecessary experience.
Dropped my honda off (bought at Fox) to get work done, so i thought i would test drive a car since i am in the market for a new car. I am a part year resident and when i gave my South Carolina drivers license and NY id card, for the test drive i was told no test drive because the sales manager has had a lot of trouble from southerners coming up and stealing cars during test drives. The sales manager used agressive body language to try and intimidate (im female). I refuse to buy a car from a idiot, or from a dealership that condones them. so ill go to Syr for my new one.
I spent almost two weeks of back and forth phone calls negotiating a price and details with a rep and had a number agreed on for this car. Then after I drove 3 hours to close the deal I walking expecting a price and a few details and the manger asks me if i have any of this in emails righting besides my notes because he had no recollection of it. So after wasting my time over the phone making fake deals they tell me that they cant sell it at the price I spent two weeks talking about. I would HIGHLY recommend you find a car elsewhere.
The lady who works the desk and does scheduling for appointments for maintenance is the best!! The last time I was there she found me an umbrella to use because it was pouring out so I could get to my car with out getting drenched as she knew I was headed right to work from there. Shes always super friendly!! when I am there and I always try and get her to take care of me and my vehicle whether I call or stop in.
Staff are friendly, but they give you very limited information about the deal they are giving you. I had to ask two times for them to tell me the interest rate they were trying to offer me. In addition, I asked three times what the trade in value of my current car would be, but they never told me. Overall, friendly, knowledgeable staff, but a little sketchy on the detail front.
Everyone at Fox Honda was so helpful and courteous! From the time of my first phone call to inquire about purchasing a new CR-V to the minute we drove off in our new vehicle! Excellent customer service! Our thanks to Lynn, Gary and Kathy for giving us the best car buying experience weve ever had! We recommend Fox Honda to everyone! Pat W. - Tully NY
Had some preconceptions relative to car dealers and we got off to a shaky start. Bottom line, working through the people stuff, my wife and I could not have left there any happier in being sure we had done business with people who listened and reflected there sense of caring towards our total satisfaction in buying the car of our dream. We did extensive online research in educating ourselves, visited several other dealers, in town and out of town, which made us fully apprised to warranties, price differentials, car fax, certified vehicles and out the door pricing.I would not hesitate to send another family member or close friend to Fox in Auburn, our sales person and the owner were such, stand-up guys we are still amazed by our good fortune. When youre spending this kind of money, one has an option to pick and chose to do business with people you build a trust with and demonstrate it was earned.
Came in with full intention of purchasing a vehicle and were almost at the finish line dealing with our sales associate. The entire process took a wrong turn when the sales manager Justin walked into the picture. He was offensive, lacked people skills that any sales manager should have, and treated us in a degrading manner. As a result, we walked right out and purchased a new car from Lamacchia, where true professionalism was displayed and white glove service provided. If you are in the market for a Honda, whatever you do avoid Fox Honda. You will regret it.
Had an initially great meeting and demo with Jesse the sales associate, and truly wanted to walk out with a car. However at the point that the sales manager Justin came on the scene, he immediately insulted our negotiations and displayed zero people skills. He single handedly drove us from Fox to Lamacchia where we happily purchased a new vehicle. A sales manager displaying this behavior is disgraceful, and reflects the values of the establishment. Head elsewhere if you are looking for proper consideration and service.

I writing this review for my husband, Bob, who leased a 2013 Honda CR-V the other day. He knew just exactly what he wanted, including the color. He had been researching vehicles for months and finally made his decision. He went to Fox Honda and told the salesperson what he wanted. He got just what he asked for at the price he wanted to pay. The salesperson went over every detail with him and showed him how to use all the instruments. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Bob loves his Honda CR-V.
I NEVER take time to leave reviews...Just a little backstory: I am in the process of selling my current vehicle, so I wanted to start looking at some new ones in the meantime.I took a Honda CR-V for a test drive at Fox Honda—really liked the car a lot. After the drive, I went inside with the sales guy to discuss monthly payments, trade-in value for my car, etc. After we talked for a while, Tyler Smolak (manager or finance guy?) came out of his office to talk with me. Initially he mentioned my current vehicle—that he searched online to find my post— and told me I wouldn’t get the price I was asking for.I then told him the amount I would ideally like to put down for my next car, with which he responded, “Even if you sell your car for the price you’re asking, that won’t give you the full amount you’d need for your down payment.”I knew that (I’m not a moron!) and I told him that wasn’t my plan anyways. He then asked me, “And... where is the rest of that money coming from?”....as if that’s ANY of his business?!?!Anyways, if I could give zero stars on this review I would. My advice to anyone considering Fox Honda—just don’t. Especially if you want to avoid rude, invasive, and tasteless people.
I bought a new Honda Fit Sport a few years ago at Fox Honda in Auburn. Had it serviced there for the first three years and then their quality of customer service started deteriorating. During one visit the mechanic lost one of my custom air valve covers and did not tell me. Instead, he put on a plain grey plastic cap and sent me on my merry way. Another time the mechanic broke off the support bracket on my interior power strip and dump out my belongings from the glovebox and never said a word to me, leaving me to fix what they messed up! I sent a personal/confidential letter to owner Jane Fox and received a phone call from an employee who said Jane was not in today and wanted to address my concerns. Really??? What a shame!! Never again!!!
My parents bought a car June 23 and its been back every week since then. Mom brought it in and said it was making a weird noise and they said it was nothing. She drove down there today and the wheels felt like they were falling off. Turns out that the clean rooters (per the 160 pt. examination) were totally rusted and pushing the wheels. They were promised the registration, but it never came. She was told that it was stapled to something but it wasnt. Now she has to go to the DMV and fight for a registration sticker. The biggest problem, however, was with Andy Miller. This man was not honest with them at all. All he gave them were empty promises, but he refused to own up and admit to anything he said. They were told one thing one week, but the next week they denied it (even thought it was written down!). We were passed around to so many different people its no wonder the car still has problems. I went with mom today and I heard him raise his voice to her when she asked some questions. She told me this was not the first time this has happened. We try to keep our customers satisfied, Im trying to keep you 100% satisfied! he yelled when she asked for a survey or something to report his behavior. My mother had to take him out to the car to show him the paperwork to prove that she had the right service warranty because he didnt have it on record and didnt seem to recall after working with them for six weeks. A receptionist also raised her voice to my mother. Another time, Fox was supposed to supply them with a rental car when they took the car for a few days the day after we bought it, but said that Enterprise had no cars. A friend at Enterprise said that there were plenty of cars. Thought that was pretty unusual. We have seen nothing but disrespect from the service center. If youre going to buy a car here, be careful. We were told that there were other cars on the lot that we could have test drove, no one forced us to take that car. They love the car and thought they could rely on the company to stand by their products. Disrespect from everyone. They will admit that the service center did solve most of our problems when we brought it back, but they must understand that people expect their cars to work when they buy them...even if they are used. They need to be more professional when dealing with customers. Talented mechanics, terrible customer service skills.
We purchased a vehicle in May from Fox Honda. We traded in an older vehicle and transferred the plates and insurance to the new vehicle. We filled out all the paperwork and were promised the insurance and registration would be taken care of on that following Monday. We were also promised a hitch as an add on at this time which we never got. The vehicle had no gas in it at all when we got it either which is BS for a $27k vehicle. After about 2 weeks we had not received the registration or any information from the insurance company regarding our coverage. We reached out to the insurance company first who claimed they had not been notified of the transfer. Next we called the dealership who admitted they hadnt processed our paperwork and requested we go back and re-do it. We did, and found out at that time they still had our spare keys and owners manual for the new vehicle. We inquired about a part in their parts department for the new vehicle and were told we would get a call back. No one called us back. After approximately 2 more weeks we hadnt gotten the registration still and called back. They were having issues with our insurance, but failed to tell us about it for weeks and couldnt register it. I resolved insurance issues and received a call a week later that we owed more money due to weight differences between the trade and the new vehicle which they shouldve known. They took care of this which was nice but then about a week later we got a suspension notice from DMV because they took so long to register the vehicle that the insurance didnt get verified. So to recap, we bought a vehicle in May and we are still dealing with paperwork issues in July. This dealership is a nightmare to do business with. WE WILL NEVER BUY FROM FOX AGAIN.
I would recommend Fox Honda to anyone without reservation. This is the third Honda I have purchased through Tony Piscotti at Fox Honda. In every case I have felt fully respected and that my needs were what drove the final decision on the vehicle to buy. At the time of sale, the final purchase agreement was presented with clarity and honesty.I do believe dealers tend to charge more for processing the paperwork required for title and registration transfers ($75.00) than it costs them to perform the service. I would prefer that they offer the buyer the option of performing the necessary DMV process themselves. At the same time, this could delay the effective sale date and cause the dealer to miss a quota date.I believe that I received a fair trade-in value for the automobiles I have traded in.The service I have received at Fox Honda has always been on time and completely to mu satisfaction.
We recently purchased a 2014 Honda Odyssey and it couldnt have gone any smoother. I had researched mini vans via the internet and test drove one so I knew exactly what I wanted. The staff was helpful, friendly and accommodating and Fox Honda met my needs exactly. I first dealt with Kim through internet sales and had worked out almost all of the details for purchasing my vehicle before entering the dealership. At Fox Honda, Jeff was very knowledgeable, cooperative and friendly. He took his time explaining the many features of the van and was happy and willing to answer any questions. He put us at ease and was not your typical pushy salesman. Dealing with Dave in the finance department was also a breeze. Fox Honda did not have the color of the vehicle I wanted but located it and had it on the lot within a day. When we took possession of the vehicle Justin answered all of our questions, explained more features and effortlessly walked us through the paperwork. Purchasing a vehicle through Fox Honda was definately a much more pleasant experience than we had anticipated.
Thought everything was great with this dealership and transaction until we needed to use the extended warranty. We asked specifically for the top of the line warranty since there are so many features to the vehicle. We found out that we were actually sold the gold not the platinum package. The first repair was brake pads within days of the purchase. Drove to the dealership (1 1/2 hours one way) to have them replaced for “free”. 6 months later they had to be replaced again due to using after market parts. Second repair was $2500 and not covered by the warranty. Will never purchase from them again. The $600 mistake (because we didn’t check the warranty info) has now costed us thousands. No help from customer service as they said they would check into it and then never returned phone calls.
My son was driving our 2008 Honda Civic when a deer hit him. He took it to Fox Honda for repairs. We now have it home and have found out that they did not do a thorough job inspecting their work before releasing the car. I called and spoke with the head of the body shop. I received no results, no courtesy, and no help.My Honda dealer was able to fix the problems easily.I would recommend not using them.
This is is a complete joke. Shook hands on one set of numbers, went the next day to grab the vehicle then was hit with a completely different payment and the good ol bait and switch even after being told that the payment and options I wanted to pay wasnt going to be a problem.well if you dont like those numbers we can try for another vehicle suppose to leave that day with a car its been a few days and no call back about the other car, the salesperson had to Google search everything about the cars I was looking at even their own brand.
I spent months searching not only for the perfect white 2015 honda civic, but also for excellent customer service and a dealership I could actually trust! Not only was Fox honda all that, they were much more. I felt from the moment I walked through the doors that the staff genuinely wanted to see me happy and they would stop at nothing to make sure that I was 100% satisfied. I was able to get an awesome financing deal through honda finance, they were able to find the exact car I had been searching for. Tyler is the awesome salesman that worked so hard to make the car buying experience painless and even enjoyable! I would highly recommend to all friends and family that are looking for a new/used car to save the headache of sifting through all the car dealership scams and fake service and go to Fox, ask for Tyler and then you can have the confidence that you received the best deal and the most amazing service possible! Go with a name you can trust, Im so happy I did!
It is unfortunate that there is not the ability to give Fox Honda 0 stars, as I would surely have done so if that was possible. The service department @ Fox Honda has predatory sales practices, particularly towards senior citizens and women. They sold my mother unnecessary services related to a warranty extension on an engine misfiring issue--in addition to keeping her car far longer than needed, which resulted in excessive rental car charges. This is our second bad experience there--and definitely our last. Service customers beware.
This is our 2nd CRV that we bought from Fox Honda. This experience was wonderful!! Ian was great to work with, I told him what used CRV I was interested in, & even though a manager was driving it, he was able to get it to the dealership within minutes! The whole team worked with us to get a deal we were happy with. When I picked up the CRV, Ian took the time to go over everything & made sure I understood everything. Also the follow up was unexpected to see if I had any questions or concerns. I couldnt be happier with it. I will recommend any friends or family to consider this dealership. Thank you Ian Vuillemot!
I wish I could have rated them lower. I had to sign three different lease agreements because they they said the first two werent right. It just cost me $1,300.00 dollars to pay off my lease for my Nissan Rouge they said they would would pay and be responsible for. Its not the first time they have done this according to the Better Business Bureau.
Excellent I can not be more happy with the Service manager for working with me when my car had an issue and was just out of the warranty period he was more then willing to help me with the problem.Secondly, I just rolled the lease over and now own it Jeff Piascik was great, and Jessica will find you the best financing around. Thanks for everything Fox Honda Auburn!!
I have a 08 Honda Civic. Recently i have been hearing some rubbing sound coming from the front passenger front wheel. I took the car to Midas, they drove the car and inspected the car and said they couldnt figure out what the problem was and suggested i go to Honda Service center because they would have better equipment and professionals to identify the problem and resolve it. Midas people were honest and they didnt charge me anything for the inspection. So i took their suggestion and took my car to Fox Honda Service center in Auburn, NY. Before they took my car they said i have to pay $ 56 for inspection. I thought these guys are professional and would find the problem so it would be worth spending the money so i agreed to pay the money. The sales manger Andy called me after 1 hour and said he drove the car and said he is guessing that something could be wrong with brakes and if im ok he will go ahead and remove the parts and check but this would cost me around $160. If his guess is correct the issue would be resolved but if he is wrong then he might have to look somewhere else to fix it and this would cost me more. Basically what he meant was I have no clue where the issue is. I have to do a blind goose chase to find where the issue is and in this process i have to pay money for each chase . He is not even guaranteeing that even after spending $160 the problem would be fixed. Totally unprofessional.People at Honda Service center have no clue of what they are doing. They are totally Unprofessional. I ended paying $56 without even knowing what the problem was. I wouldnt recommend any one to go to Honda service center in Auburn, NY. They will just rip you off.I took my car to LeBrun Nissan service center in Auburn, this is where i brought my car. They were very welcoming and they were very Professional. They did all kinds of inspection and found the problem area and fixed it. They charged me $90 for Labor and parts. I was very satisfied with their treatment. The problem was not in the area where the unprofessional Honda service manager had guessed and if i went ahead with them i would have ended up paying $160 and still have the problem unresolved. and i dont even know how much would i have ended paying till they found the problem and fix it.My suggestion to all people who are considering to go to Honda service in Auburn, please dont go there. They will rip you off. They are very unprofessional. Dont waste your money and time...
Was promised a price online, later confirmed over phone, made us come to the shop an hours drive only to deny the price by the manager. Was told by the sales manager that the deal would be honored till end of the month and we were even ready to put down a deposit. Called back two days later before the end of the month to proceed with the deal and the manager now changed his stance. Said he never agreed to the deal and was dilly dallying around it. Wanted more than what we were promised when they knew we were ready to purchase. I would say run away from this dealership or record your conversation with the manager or have an attorney present before he opens his mouth! There are far better...or at least honest dealers in the area! Manager is real shady! Wish I had read reviews here before dealing with this dealership
TERRIBLE! Personnel was rude when asked for a detailed breakdown of all the charges and refused to provide the invoice of the vehicle. Detail job when we bought the car was pathetic (brake dust still on rims and body), didnt offer anything free in appreciation for being a customer and didnt even fill the car upon purchase. Will never go back to this place or recommend them.
Went there to look at the new Accord, which is a significant redesign. It was pretty clear after just a few minutes of speaking to more than one salesperson that they had *very* poor product knowledge- I seemed to know more about the new generation engine and the camera/warning features of the EXL trim level than they did.Unbelievably while I was in the showroom I couldnt help but overhear what must have been a manager- short Italian-type- berating one of the sales people.Very poor representation of a Honda dealership- have always found Honda dealerships to be far more professional than what I saw at Fox. My experience there was quite disappointing.Took my business elsewhere and purchased my Accord EXL with Nav.
Recently purchased a Honda from Fox and had a great experience. If you are in the market to lease/buy a car, I highly recommend that you visit Fox Honda and ask for Christian. Excellent customer service and very thorough with details so everything is clear about your purchase.
Unprofessional. We had an appt to look at a car my daughter was extremely interested in. We spoke to someone Friday they said coming in Monday would not be a problem. My daughter emailed to tell them she was on the way ( 40 minute drive from her house) the car was sold supposedly today. Wrong very wrong!!
As has been the case in the past, we had a wonderful experience leasing our new Honda through Fox Honda. Weve purchased 3 Hondas and 2 Chevys from the Fox dealerships, and each experience has been excellent. A major factor in the decision is the quality of the service team at Fox Honda, specifically Tami and Joann. We also got to meet Jane Fox for the first time. Such a lovely lady -- and a rock star in CNY!!
Got us a great deal but after 4 months we couldnt afford the payment. I was NOT apart of the credit portion BUT the fiance manager had someone else finish the last few pages for him and didnt give him any information on how we were doing it so he had my wife and I sign wvweything together so I got hit as well. Will not fix this issue after 3 years but still remembers making the mistake!
On 9/28/2016, I purchased a 2014 Kia Optima (Stock # H55178) from this dealer at a fair price - cash deal. But some issues have arisen:1. During the insurance inspect, It was pointed out to me that there was no spare tire, jack or lug wrench. Contact my sales person, Christian Hannig, and explained the issue. He called and stated I would need to bring the car there and meet with Andy Miller (Service Manager). After a 30 mile drive, I met with the Service Manager. Explained the issue and showed him. As I waited in the customer area, He went to discuss this with the Sales Manager JP. Then came back to me and stated the car did not come equipped with a spare tire because of Kias roadside assistance program. In addition, He said Fox Honda was not going supply one. This must have come from JP - He stated that he use to worked for Kia of East Syracuse. As an Engineer, this answer seemed incorrect. I contacted Kia America, gave the Vin # for the car. According to them, the vehicle came equipped with a TMK (Tire Mobility Kit) consisting of an Air compressor, Can of sealant, and Hoses. The spare tire kit was an option. So, according to Fox Hondas statement - They lied to me.2. The two rear tires do not match (not the same brand or tread pattern). In this configuration, the vehicle will pass NYS Inspection. A problem will arise when you have your tires rotated. You will need to purchase two matching tires - by NYS law tires on the steering axle must match.3. Make sure all the information on the paperwork is correct. They incorrectly stated the mileage on the vehicle at 54,751. The correct mileage was 49,751.Before purchasing any vehicle from this dealership, do your research.I will not purchase my next vehicle from any Fox dealership and would not recommend purchasing from this dealership due to them providing false / incorrect information to me. Customer service is lacking - not taking ownership of issues, failure ensure customer satisfaction and the Hard sell mentality.
Purchased a 2011 Honda Pilot in February 2015....on drive to Florida next day, Pilot had significant leak over drivers side at top of left windshield. Happened a second time during Florida thunder storm. On return to New York arranged for appointment at Fox Honda in Auburn....was told by service attendant on arrival for fix that they would evaluate it for $55 but not covered on original car warranty which had expired and supposed bumper to bumper warranty purchased at time of Pilot purchase for $1200+ also did not cover....estimate for fixing leak around $450...simply stated by her its a used car.Whats wrong with this picture and whats wrong at Fox Honda????
I thought Christian was super knowledgeable about the Accord. It made it easier to deal with someone that had the product knowledge and knew its selling points. Being able to communicate via text was also important. I never felt pressured and was able to negotiate, in a sense, in a way I felt more comfortable with.
Bought an 08 Hyundai Tuscon last August, not even a month after the car had a leaky exhaust. After fighting with them to get it fixed the car ran fine until now. I havent even owned it a year yet and its already taking a crap. Check engine light is on and theres issues with the transmission!!
We thought we had everything set up on the internet and were just going in to pick the car up. Well, five hours later we finally got to drive our new car home, in the dark! We like the car fine, but the experience was everything we wanted to avoid in buying a new car.
Recently leased a new 2014 Honda CR-V from fox Honda.my second transaction from this dealershipeveryone at Fox was very helpful and friendly.pat nolan handled my sale and was just as personable, friendly, knowledgeable as i could have ever expected. if i ever purchase another honda - it will be from him.patrick-oswego ny
Fox Honda had such a wonderful welcoming experience on there customers...I felt so comfortable being there the salesman josh was amazing!! So help full ..I loved working with Josh ,Justin n Dave that I bought 2 cars.. good place to buy cars n know ur getting a god deal n friendly environment...god job fox honda☺
I got a list of complaints but the biggest is that they made me and my s/o believe we were approved, took our down payment, were told just wait a few minutes and we will have the keys and drive off with the new car... over an hour later, come to find out we werent approved and they had taken our money, that its almost 2 weeks after we asked for our money back and pulled the sale that we havent seen a dime. When I asked about this, I was told idk how its down where youre from (Mississippi) but its new yotk policy here to have a downpayment no matter what... Ive talked to so many people born and raised here that has never heard of taking a downpayment without any actual approval... Half the time cant get anyone on the phone, told they are too busy to answer, to leave a voicemail and they never call back. I want my money back, this place does Horrible business!!
I recently purchased a pre-owned honda from a local Syracuse car dealer, that was originally sold at FOX. I needed some information that would have been privy to the original owner only - I called up FOX and spoke to Heather .. Heather was able to diagnose the issue over the phone, and was very nice. Success, thank you!
This place is the K-Mart of auto dealerships. When you can walk in the door a month or two apart and see the sales staff constantly changing, thats a pretty strong tell that this is not a place where people want to be. Any dealing Ive had with sales manager has been comical- a short Italian who is a walking cliche of the worst one would think of a car salesman. As many other car dealerships and Honda dealerships as there are within a 30 minute drive, there is just no reason to do business with these people.

2022-06-09Fox Honda came highly recommended from a family friend so I drove almost 2 hours there for a test drive and appraisal of my current vehicle for a trade in.My salesperson wasnt rude in any way, but they definitely didnt seem like they enjoyed their job or wanted to be there. Oh well, some people just arent super outgoing. Not the end of the world.I ended up purchasing the car and scheduled pickup for 2 days later. I assumed this was to finish the paperwork and clean/detail it as it was pretty dirty and smelled terribly of cigarette smoke. However, upon arrival the car looked the same as it did 2 days prior and still smelled. I accepted the fact I was just going to have to clean it myself. Oh well.Leaving the car dealership, I was gifted with an empty tank of gas- no literally, empty. So I had to drive right from the lot to the gas station before my nearly 2 hour trek home. Again, not the end of the world. I was trying to stay positive that at least the car was mine now and all the loose strings were tied, right?Nope. I traded in my old car and purchased the new one on the 24th and picked it up on the 26th. It was never finalized until the 31st so my old cars payment was automatically deducted from my bank account. I tried calling the dealership 3 times with no answer. Thankfully my bank was able to correct the issue that was caused by Foxs untimeliness. On top of that I was given 2 key fobs but only 1 of them was working. I even tried replacing the battery with no luck. This is something I wouldve liked to talk to someone about fixing but unfortunately no one has answered when I try to call the dealership.I know I wasnt going to get a luxury car buying experience but all in all Im kinda disappointed with giving my business to Fox Honda and making a large purchase such as a car only to have a mediocre couple of days and work ahead of me to get this car where it should have been when I drove it off the lot.(Photos show the dirt that came off the steering wheel, turn signal, and wiper switch. Just imagine the rest of the car! Also shown is the cabin air filter that was long overdue for a change. I also bombed the car twice in an attempt to remove the cigarette smell)

2022-05-20I drive out to Fox Honda from Rochester and it is totally worth the drive! They are awesome! I work with Matthew W, he is the absolute best. They got me out of my 1 year old Honda civic since my needs changed and I need a Honda Pilot. I recommend anybody to come to fox. They give you the price and they don’t add any extra fee’s (hard to find now with covid inventory). They have been the most reasonable / easiest dealership I have ever worked with. I am on my second car from Matt and I seriously love that I have a dealership I can trust and come here to get all my cars. Thank you Matt and Fox hondaI will continue my business for many years to come.

2022-06-14My sales associate Alex really tried to get me the best deal. He put up with a lot of going back and forth and even had to listen to a cranky baby. How ever I was lied to about turning in my lease. Yes they do want your older car, but they wont give you as much back as possible. The Sales Manager definitely wasnt willing to budge and was not as kind as the last 2 times I went. This was my 3rd time going to them because I thought it be well worth my trip, I went home with a new car, but definitely not happy with not being treated as great as the last 2 times.

2022-03-29I brought in my vehicle to see if I could get on the schedule at some point during the week. The part happened to be in stock and Joanne got me in for service immediately. Joanne was super pleasant and very help...she even discovered my car needed an inspection. I am very pleased with my experience.

2022-02-11I brought my car here a handful of times. The customer service I received was amazing until the most recent time I brought my car here. The appointment was for a diagnosis and an oil change. They were unable to fix the problem so the oil change was the only thing “completed”. My husband checked the oil two days after my oil change and the oil was completely black. It appears that my filter was changed but my oil was not. Will never be bringing my car back here again.
