I scheduled routine service with this dealer last weekend (state inspection/oil change)on my 2020...
Customer service personnel very polite and helpful. One frustration though this is the second time I have come in for an oil change and the service personnel have removed my tire rotation sticker that was next to the oil change sticker. Not sure why they keep removing it but its a frustrating. I had to again look up my paperwork, for my last tire rotation, and make a note when I have to go back in for another rotation.Next time I will write a note for them not to remove the tire rotation sticker and tape it to the windshield.
Zach set the bar across the board for a perfect customer experience. From the moment I reached out with a brief inquiry, Zach was responsive, extremely knowledgeable, not only about the vehicle itself, but in walking me through the entire process. It could not have been more seamless and made the process very pleasant. The entire staffs attention to detail and my satisfaction was unparalleled- going above and beyond in every aspect!
I was extremely pleased with my Forester purchase at Fox Subaru and bring it back for service every time. The staff is friendly, helpful, and I have my car serviced in a very reasonable amount of time. It is worth the 50 minute drive to bring it in and I will continue to do so. I highly recommend this dealership.
Experience was alright, took about a week to close the deal on a used car. Wasn’t totally their fault, they had difficulty getting a monitor to reset after a battery swap so it couldn’t be inspected, but they forgot to do my rust proofing and I had to make another appointment later to get it completed. Thought it was weird that they didn’t even top the car off with gas before giving it to us, had to fill up on our way home from the dealer.
Brought my car with check engine light on Feb 15. They diagnosed it and said I needed a thermostat. Paid diagnostic fee of 149 dollars plus tax. Service rep said theyll needed to order thermostat and would call me when it comes in and schedule date to bring my car in. They said would take 4 hours labor @ 149 dollars or 596 plus tax. Never got a call from service rep to this day. Called and got no call back so took it to another garage who took care of it professionally. They gave me terrible customer service and need to improve.
Fantastic from beginning to end. Olivia is terrific and didn’t pester me after I didn’t like the car I went to see. She communicated quickly and always sought out answers to my questions if she didn’t know them. Dave, the money guy, was easy to work with. Didn’t scare me at all. Plus, he’s left handed! Smooth from first meet to the moment I drove off the lot with the perfect vehicle. Totally recommend!!
I just drove my new-to-me Subaru home. My buying experience here was the best I have had. All the gentlemen that helped were fantastic, Rob, Matt and Scott. I dont anticipate buying again any time soon, but when I am ready i will definitely return to Fox Subaru in Auburn!
Bought a Subaru Forester from Fox Auto and Mike Day today. Even though I never saw it or test drove it , it was by far the easiest experience I have ever had purchasing a vehicle. It did take a month for the car to come in but it was worth the wait. I would recommend to anyone to go see Mike and pick out your next ride!
Bought a car less than a year ago and not only were the tires treads low but two of the tires had slow leaks so had to buy new tires. Now as it is getting cold out my battery had to be jumped twice by AAA and they tested it saying it is a bad battery, had it checked again at a auto parts store and they agreed it was a bad battery. I contacted the online help for fox subaru and talked to a lady that had told me they will be contacting me to fix the issue with the battery that is OLD and the 30 month warranty had expired as the battery was in the car since 2019, they didnt even give me a new battery with a warranty. I will be contacting them again about this issue, but will not be recommending this location if this is regular pratice!
Went for STARLINK upgrade - notice said it was 2 hour procedure - dropped off at 7:30 and not done til after 5 - paperwork mailed subsequently indicated information about brake pads - why was any wheel removed for a computer upgrade? Hopefully I have no subsequent issues! Also it was very cold and was told they were awaiting furnace part - but while I waited for my ride, others received shuttle service, an option never offered to me. I only go there for recall items never regular maintenance.
Every single person I worked with was wonderful. The salesperson, jim the general manager, and the finance gentleman. I was very happy with their professionalism and their care. It was a great experience. The best one I’ve had at any dealership Fox Subaru is an exceptional place to buy a car
Great new car buying experience! This dealership has changed so positively with the change in ownership. They are now very customer service focused and very easy to work with. This was the first time in nearly twenty years that we were able to find a fair deal buying “locally”. I will be recommending them to friends!
No pressure, very helpful experience. From my first contact with their staff, they were able to assist me with finding the vehicle I was looking for. Sales person Olivia was awesome with dealing with my anxiety around finding and purchasing the vehicle. All around solid experience. I will return in the future.
I dropped off my car on 1/13/2218/Subsru/outback/touringAll paperwork was printed out in a few minutesIt was explained it would take all day and she (Nichole)would keep me up to date on the serviceShe called and said they would finish it in next morningShe called mid morning car was readyHad a good experience at Fox Subaru will return for service in the futureThank you George
I visited fox Subaru unsure about what I wanted in a car. The sales professional I worked with was amazing. He answered all of my questions and he really knew his stuff! This level of customer service is hard to find. Next time you’re looking for a car, go to fox Subaru and ask for Joshua Villa. He’s your guy. Will definitely be going to Joshua with my next Subaru purchase! Thank you Joshua!
Ive purchased two cars here and leased one. The service was awesome at first then with this new lease I got last month, it all went downhill. Long story short, they “misplaced” (I’d use a different term) something out of my car that meant a lot to me. When I attempted to get this figured out and get the item back, the sales rep Zach starting making up lies and pulling me in different directions. When attempting to speak to the sales manager, he refused to return any of my calls. Even after I caught the sales rep in his lies. At first he said the item was shipped but had no tracking number. A few weeks went by and I called back. The Parts dept knew nothing about my item and were never even notified of it.The worst thing about this is that the dealership refused to return my calls. I had to get Subaru of America involved.Just be very cautious when dealing with this place. There are a couple good people in there but 95% are shady. I definitely wont be returning there and I know there are many other Subaru dealerships that Ill be checking out when my lease is up.
Had a good experience in the past. This time, not so much. Scheduled a test drive which was abruptly canceled 30 minutes beforehand because the vehicle needed to be serviced. Was told that they would find out what service was being done and call be back ASAP to re-schedule the test drive. When I didnt hear from them after the abrupt cancellation, I followed up only to learn that the vehicle was unfortunately no longer available. While understandable that vehicles get sold... the failure to contact me to reschedule or to notify me that the vehicle was sold was a big disappointment.
Super quick and helpful when I needed help fixing my breaks (bought defective ones from an auto place and didnt realize until a few weeks later). They were able to figure out why my car was acting up, why it was making noise and rattling, and quickly fixed the issue before anything was effected.Took only 3 hours to do a full service inspection, replace the back rotors and breaks, and get me back out on the road! And they were super inviting and allowed me to browse cars while I waited, without any pressure to buy or trade in!
My daughter bought a car there. They we’re supposed to touch up two areas on the hood before she took delivery. They didn’t. They said they would get the touch up paint and call her in a week to come have it done. They didn’t. I have now called them 4 times over the past month to ask about it. Every time I was told they would call back. They didn’t. Now it’s on. Making a formal complaint to DMV Vehicle Safety.
My family has purchased two cars in the past 18 months and the customer service we have received has been very good. This summer we had an issue with the AC unit on my wifes car (the first time we used it since the car was purchased last winter). Without hesitation, one brief conversation with Rob and the matter was fixed within a couple days. Thank you Rob for always showing integrity and genuine concern for our needs. Your consistent honesty and awesome customer service skills reflects great credit upon yourself and Fox Subaru.
Ive had nothing but problems with this place. With one vehicle:1) They told me they would put in a remote start, but after purchasing the car told me they wouldnt do it and it would violate my warranty (which I found out later from Toyota it wouldnt).2) When I needed a new key for the remote start I was quoted $40. I agreed, came in, and fifteen minutes later they handed me a bill for $150. They told me it was $40 for the key, sure, but $110 for the fifteen minutes of labor.3). During the last recall I brought my vehicle in and it immediately had engine lights come on afterwards. I called them and brought it back in, they stated it was unrelated and if I wanted them to look at it then it would cost full price for the fix, regardless of my warranty or the fact it clearly happened after their service. I brought the vehicle to Lebrun Toyota afterwards which confirmed it was the recall service that caused the issue and then fixed it for free.Good luck to anyone deciding to do business with them--Toyota is a great brand but this is a terrible place to buy one or even get it serviced.
I bought a lemon of a subaru vehicle from this place. Within a month the exhaust fell out from under the car, they would not assist. Ive had expensive issues every year since purchasing, and now its been 5 years since my purchase date and I need to purchase a new car as the expenses are astronomical-- 10 grand worth. I am a young female who went in alone to purchase this vehicle and clearly over paid since I still owe. Please be cautious with this dealership. It was one of the most expensive mistakes Ive ever made. They are super sketchy.
Alec was great to work with! He made the leasing option easy and when I had a question or required different payment options, my requests were met with promptness. I have been to many other dealerships, but Fox Subaru made the process stress free and matched me with the car that best suits my lifestyle. I am very satisfied with my experience!
Bought a brand new Subaru Crosstrek here and did not have a good experience at all. Salesperson was downright rude at times and I should have listened to my gut instinct and just left. Heard other sales people laughing in the background about how they constantly have angry customers after they buy a vehicle. My sales person Increased the price by thousands with warranties Ill never use. The lady said I had a service warranty so I scheduled an appointment for a simple tire rotation and oil change which I was told would be included in the warranty, they tried to charge me over $220.Trying to cancel those warranties now. Only have 4,000 miles on the car and want to get rid of it. Dont believe what you see for prices on their website or anything they tell you, its just to get you in the door so they can take you for everything you have. Will never buy a vehicle from any Fox Dealership again. Ive had such a bad experience Ive decided Ill never buy another Subaru. Honesty and integrity and important to me and the people who work at Fox Subaru are there for themselves and no one else. Dont let them prey on you like they did me. Never again Fox Dealerships. Too bad its not an option to give them zero stars because they didnt even earn the one...
Thanks to our sales rep Gabe we had a good experience with purchasing our new vehicle. She was very easy to work with, informative and professional. I was highly disappointed that the gas gage was on empty upon leaving the dealership but this issue was quickly resolved thanks to Gabe and her great customer service.
Their service department is flawless. Honestly never seen a better run shop. They took the time to explain things to me about my car that no one else would and treated me as if I were an old friend. I work in insurance and explanations go a long way in both fields if you ask me! My boyfriend and I wont go anywhere else for our Subaru service needs!
My vehicle was totaled and I was distraught. I loved my minivan and did not want to get another car or deal with car salesmen. My husband found a used Subaru and we stopped by on Sunday to look not knowing that they were open. The car we wanted to look at had already sold but they had a few similar Forester and one a year younger, I test drove both and feel in love with the 2016 it was everything I wanted. My salesman Paul Kelly was easy to work with and was able to get me the price I needed. The whole process went smooth and the team was very accommodating. It made the whole experience of losing my beloved minivan so much easier. I will definitely be back for another Subaru! The Forester is an amazing SUV.
Actively looking to buy a Subaru Outback. On the positive, they were very responsive and polite in response to my E-mails.On the negative. I went on their website and received an automated E-mail with a quote of $35,627. Ten minutes later, I received an E-mail from a salesperson that their discounted price for the same vehicle was $37,444.When asked about the $2,000 difference, the response was that due to Covid and the lack of inventory, this was the best they could do.I understand that car prices can fluctuate, but this was from their website - not from another random site that hasnt updated their information yet. Frustratingly, that was a good price that I would have jumped on.
Disclaimer- 1 star is unfortunately the minimum to write a review.I absolutely will never buy another vehicle from FOX after today. After their 4th attempt at fixing the same problem on my Chrysler 200, today I was picked up by their shuttle vehicle to go retrieve my supposedly finished car, backing out on to the road the driver backed in to another car. Not only does the service department not seem to be very apologetic that they keep returning my car without fixing the problem but the driver couldn’t even be bothered to ask if me, his passenger/customer was alright. This post doesn’t even begin to describe my negative interactions with Fox’s Service department, as of lately, but it’s a brief summary of my disgust.
Took delivery of my 2019 Subaru Forester today! First time owning a Subaru, and all ready liking/enjoying my ride.Fox Subaru was great to do business with, process was made easy by all staff. There is a lot to learn with the car, and Subaru offers classes, with a free lunch!Special Thank You to Christina Kemp, sales woman!! Job well done!!
Bought our 4Runner from Zach about a year ago. We had never owned a Toyota product before and... WE COULDN’T BE HAPPIER!! I was a ford owner my whole life but a friend of the family had recommended the dealership to us. Unaware we were going to buy a car that day we had given “Zip” a general idea of what we were looking for in a vehicle and he brought us in the right direction. I have bought many cars throughout my life and have never met a salesperson like him, he was never aggressive and treated my wife and I like friends or family. Coming to an agreement was easy, we met Mike after our deal was set in motion and he provided the coverages we needed so we can drive worry free for the next decade. Zach having previously worked in detail cleaned the truck for us spotless and we took it home that day. I wish “Zip” a long and successful career in the business he is passionate about, his phone calls to check in every now and then shows he genuinely cares and I know if I ever had any questions he’d take the time to listen and help. 5 stars
Kyle was a very helpful salesperson throughout the process. What I didnt understand was that we were to haggle over the monthly payment before getting the terms of the financing worked out. After calling Lynne in financing the next day (who was also very helpful), she was able to get my payment down to where it should have been given the APR of the loan I secured. She also brought down the price of an extended warranty from $1350 to $1215 to what I ultimately approved at $750. My overall experience was good and proved to be much better than Bill Rapp in Syracuse.
Sales Department is not trustworthy! Read all the paperwork- they will lie to you. The Finance Manager, Mike Thompson, wasted so much of my time with the classic bait & switch. We negotiated a price, I got the negotiated price in writing, I took off work to pick up my car, and just before I sign, I noticed they increased the price substantially! I spent an hour trying to negotiate back down to our agreed upon price. He even tried to bribe me into leaving a good review! Walked out without a deal. Integrity is an important quality in a dealership.. these guys clearly have none. Feel free to message me if you want more detailed info about my experience.
I called dealer finding my battery is dead your people gave me Finger Lakes towing They were very helpful while I was speaking to towing service they were very helpful since I was on the phone my neighbor jump started my carThe staff was very patient and helpful I was a happy customer
I shopped around to the 3 Subaru dealerships in the area and Fox came back with the best price. My salesperson, Michael Day was great from start to finish. I walked in with a quote from the internet sales department and the quote was honored without any games or switches. I decided to get a 2016 Outback that had to be ordered from the factory. Mike called me on a regular basis to let me know the status of my vehicle until it was in and on the lot. Any issues or questions I had Mike took care of and made me feel like I was a valued customer all the way through the purchasing process. Mike has even called a few times after I took possession of my Outback to make sure I was pleased with my vehicle. Everyone I spoke to at Fox was professional and pleasant. I would recommend Fox to anyone who asks.
I looked everywhere for a used car and could not find what I was looking for. I was completely tired of pushy salesmen and over-priced cars with too many miles.I just happened to hear a commercial for Fox Subaru and checked out their website. That night I went to visit them and see the car I was interested in.I was greeted by a very friendly, down to earth salesman. Glenn Fletcher was a welcome relief from the dozens of previous salesmen I encountered. He was not pushy and went the extra mile for me. I would recommend Fox and Glenn to anyone. It was a pleasant experience and Glenn made the process incredibly easy. Thanks Glenn !!
Though our buying experience at Fox Subaru was fine, the service after the sale has left a lot to be desired. Their service department charges an outrageous amount for an oil change and tire rotation; almost $100! I went and purchased the genuine Subaru oil and filter from their service department ($40 total) and after a quick visit to YouTube for some guidance, changed the oil myself in about 15 minutes. Another auto center rotated the tires for free. Saved time, money, and I know its done right, the latter always being a question when doing business with the Fox dealerships.
You often hear stories of bad, overpriced service at dealerships, but I don’t think that is always the case. I’ve mostly had good experiences, especially with Subaru dealers. But Fox Subaru fits the stereotype of the corrupt service department perfectly. Last Thursday, my son was three hours from home when his 98 Forester overheated. We had it towed to Fox, and even though their mechanics were on duty for another two hours, he was told that no mechanic could even look at it until the next day (Friday). No big deal because it turned out to be a blown radiator, so they couldn’t have fixed it that night, but had it been minor issue (eg., a leaking hose), it would have been nice had they taken the 5 minutes necessary to diagnose it and get him on his way. As it turns out, they didn’t even look at it until Monday. One of their staff called and said that it would be $800, which included labor, to replace the radiator with an original Subaru radiator. When I noted that a 20-year-old car didn’t need a factory radiator, she agreed to try to find a post-market radiator. She didn’t call me back for 2 hours, so I found one on Amazon for $100, called her and we agreed that I would buy it and have it shipped to them. They got it Wednesday, installed it Thursday, and called to tell us that it would be $660 for labor and parts (when I asked, the Asst. Service manager I spoke with didn’t know which parts the numbers on the invoice referred to). This seemed like a LOT, so I called my local Subaru dealer (Blaise Alexander in Williamsport, PA), who quoted me $400 parts and labor for a non-factory radiator (they said it was a 1.5 hour job). Likewise, a Google search reveals that 1.5 hours is typical, with a total cost of $300-500 (parts and labor). When I got to Fox on Friday, the bill was $666, $166 parts and $500 labor (4 hours). I asked about the charges, especially the labor, and the Asst. Service manager insisted that it was necessary to replace hoses, belts, and the thermostat. None of this “service” was requested or authorized by me, and in any case, there’s no reason why it should have taken them 2.5 hours longer than any other dealership. He offered me 10% ($66) off, and when I asked to speak to the Service Manager, he disappeared for about 15 minutes and then came back offering to “meet me halfway” by cutting the labor charge to $324 (total bill $502). I decided that this was the best I could do and paid the bill. Reading their online reviews (which I wish I had done before I had the car towed there), makes it clear that my experience isn’t unusual. No doubt they will comment on this review and ask me to call and give them a chance to make my experience more satisfactory. But I gave them this opportunity and the Service Manager refused to meet with me. You can dismiss this review if you like, but if I needed service in Auburn, I would push my car to another shop before I’d take it to Fox.
Not worth the drive out to get out here. Sales people act like scavengers here and my experience was uncomfortable. We pulled up into the lot to be away from the main customer parking area so we could feed our baby daughter in the backseat. Nearby there were 4 sales people chatting and smoking on the lot, and watching our car intently to make a move toward us as soon as we would open the door. After caring for my daughters needs, I went to open the door and had a sales person in my space within 5 seconds. During my sales pitch within the showroom the staff seemed rude and unwilling to listen to my questions about the car. Instead the sales person was telling me how this car is in such demand that I should buy the one in the showroom today because it wont last long. I asked a few questions about the car to compare the cubic volume in the cargo area versus other similar cars I had shopped already and the response I got was, You cant expect me to know that kind of information. Actually I would hope youd know horsepower numbers as well, rather than just tell me, its got a lot of power. Yes, Subaru makes a good product, but coming to this dealership was a wasted effort and an uncomfortable one. Another negative is that the internet support team here cant honor their own promotions they offer, so beware. Theyll entice you by trying to get you in the door, but wont stand by it.My suggestion is to stick to the Syracuse area Subaru dealers and you can find yourself a pretty good experience there. Dont make that short drive out to Fox Subaru.
We had an EXCELLENT experience at Fox Subaru (actually, we didnt buy a Honda CRV, a bit too big for us), but had a great experience there, too. So we think those Fox people are just great all round. Our Subaru Out back is a great looking car, and I cannot tell you how good it drives. Like sitting in your livingroom chair, it is so smooth! No road noise, but you have to be careful because it is SO smooth, you may not realize you are going faster than in other cars that shake and shimmy at higher speed, lol!The sales staff was nice, and very friendly. All of them, not just the salesman making the sale! The internet sales person was very, very helpful the day we called and our sales person was out of the office. The finance department was fun, even. Imagine that! Helpful, too, and found us a LOWER rate for financing than the already low advertised rates. Yeah!I think you will love your Fox Experience!!! Thanks, guys and gals!
I have purchased several cars and I would say that the Fox experience was below par. The price negotiations (while expected) was awful - the sale rep I worked with had to go back and forth to the decision maker probably 6 different times. The sales people should be empowered to close deals. The next issue is the add on sale tactics. Not necessary. Give people the option for an extended warranty and if they want it they will take it. No need to pressure people with scare tactics of failing cars.3rd I was told by the sales rep that they arent even incentivized on the sale of the car but only on undercoating and extended warranties. How does that make sense if a finance person is pushing that?Bottom line it wasnt a pleasant experience buying at car at Fox. If it wasnt the fact for they had the exact car I wanted I would have gone elsewhere.
Normally, I like to wait before writing a review about a dealership until Ive owned the car for a couple of months, but I am beyond impressed with Fox Subaru. I went to the dealership on Friday, May 6 2016 to get wiper blade but ended up getting a new 2016 Subaru Outback. Dawn and Matt were great people to work with. Normally working a purhase deal has a little stress in it but those made it very enjoyable. Then, on Monday, 9th when I picked the car up was very helpful. She even entertained my curiosity into the Toyota tha was behind the table we were at. It was Toyota Avalon, which Ive never seen. They were evengreat when I realized when I forgot my title to the trade in.The whole buying experience was great! But my experience doesnt end there. Yesterday, Wednesday May 11th Matt contacted me about my new car getting hit with a safety recall to where it had to be brought back to the dealership. Fox Subaru went above and beyond with this situation by driving an hour up my work with a loaner car and driving my car back. Also, they said they will bring my car back to me if I cant get to dealership. Ive never had an experience like this.I hope that my experience with Fox Subaru continues be great!
My two experiences with fox . My wife and I decided it was time to get new vechiles. I needed a truck used she decided on a brand new subaru Forester 2017. My truck I decided on a 2012 tundra that had winter tires on it part of my buying agreement was a set of new summer tires and I would retain the winter tires. Hand shake and everything was good. The day I picked up the truck I thought everything was good did my paperwork and loan agreement. Which they had snuck in a warranty agreement 3000 extra and undercoating for 500 dollars . Which after my inspection of the quality wasnt worth ten friggin cents. Then I get the truck home and see that they put the crappiest uses barely any wear left in then weather checked tires all around. I look in the bed no winter tires to be seen .Two agreements broken so far then after many phone calls and compliants. I finally got the cheapest tires they could get on the rims.I have moved on and just will never do any business with such a dishonest company. On to my wifes new car . After a while her outback decided to intermittently not start. This being still on warranty she took it into service at fox and after 3 visits so far its still not fixed . Todays visit was they best where a service writer insults my wife intelligence . As my wife say its not a reliable vechile as it doesnt always starts. The service writers reply was does it start more times then not. After she had argued with him he told her to just take her car cause there is nothing wrong with it. She ask to speak with the manager and she did and they are keeping her car to see if they can find the issue .To sum up my long story of fox dealership.- dishonest- disrespectful- will take advantage of anything they can- stereotypical used car sales people
This is the 4th Subaru Forester I have helped my mother of 83 pick up while I live out of state. Each individual transaction has gone smoothly and never once was their any pressure placed upon my mother or myself. Fox Subaru and its staff of professionals have taken what could have been difficult and anxiety producing and created the exact opposite experience. I commend the team at Fox Subaru and will highly recommend them to others looking for a new or used vehicle.
Couldnt ask for better service! Our Salesman, John McCormick, was very knowledgeable and professional and did not pressure me in any way.I am sooo happy with my 2011 Subaru Legacy - it drives like a dream and the interior was spotless.Thank you Fox for making my car buying process so pleasant. It was also great that they were able to provide me with plates at the dealership, which allowed me to miss a trip to the DMV!Highly recommend them - they had the best price in Central NY (I researched these for a few months) and it was well worth the drive down to Auburn (even in a snowstorm!) Thanks guys!
My wife was looking for a new Subaru crosstrek. Fox did not have a crosstrek with the options and color that Teresa wanted. Without hesitation, the staff found the exact car that Teresa wanted and ordered it for her. We were treated fairly on our trade in. When the crosstrek came in, they showed Teresa how to work everything. Zip is a good salesman. Matt did an outstanding job with the trade in and on finding the perfect car for Teresa. The finance department explained everything with no surprises at the end. Overall we had a great experience
I was pressured and rushed to purchase my vehicle. I was not given the time to fully inspect the cosmetics of the vehicle in which now i see the roof liner has a tear on one side and the seat has a rip in it. Then I was hassled on the price and rushed to pick up the unit asap. I was made to feel like an inconvenience to the salesman the whole time. Not to mention the salesperson never responded to any emails or calls from me. The vehicle I saw online with the features listed was not even the exact one I received.Plus its only been a few weeks of having it and my vehicle is really loud and is stalling at red lights. I am so upset and I feel like I was screwed over. I dont even have my registration or anything still.
Kyle made the experience a pleasure Very professional and truly knows the cars and answered all questions I presented to him. Best of all, he listened to me and wasnt just focused on selling I came away from there with a car and a new friend Fox is fortunate to have him on staff.
Let me just say,I am a very satisfied customer! This company has been extremely helpful for me with my recent purchase. They went above and beyond to help me to fulfill the best potential. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I would also like to add, they were very flexible with making last minute adjustments to guarantee my satisfaction.
Recently purchased a outback from Fox Subaru. My experience from the time I pulled into the parking lot and met Gabe ,to I picked up my vehicle was excellent. I felt very comfortable working with Gabe, she was friendly and informative, excellent salesperson. I would go back to Fox again.
While we were not able to work out a deal, the salesman we dealt with, Brendan, was outstanding. Extremely affable & instantly likable, he was human in all discussions and I very much wish we could have worked something out to give him a sale. Unfortunately, the car was not quite as listed on the internet, and management was unwilling to wiggle on the price as much as I felt was necessary.
On 3/20/19, I responded to a Fox Auburn digital posting regarding a white Toyota Tundra for sale. I received a call shortly afterward to let me know that the Tundra had been sold.Later that same day I saw another digital posting for the same dealership for a black Toyota Tundra, same price and details as the white Tundra I had inquired about earlier. When I looked at the truck pictures, the first pic was of a black truck and the remaining were of a white truck. I responded to the posting and never received a response back. I sent several text messages inquiring if there was a black truck for sale or not. I received no response. Later in the evening I corresponded with several women at Fox Auburn, via text message. I explained to them my interest in the black Tundra and also of how I had sent inquiries but never received a response back. The women then stopped texting with me and I gave up.Ive been truck shopping and have communicated with many dealerships and Fox is the only one so far that has seemed inept.
Gabe greeted us when we arrived, was very helpful with providing information and accomodating our requests, but was not pushy. Shes very knowledgeable about the product (Subaru, in our case.) She made the whole transaction as easy as possible, was very pleasant, and we were very pleased that we were able to work with her.
We recently leased a Subaru Imprezza thru Fox, Gabe was our Sales Rep. Three yrs ago, Gabe was our Fox Rep for our Prius lease. Very personable, helpful. Our lease was ending and she reached out to us to come in and begin the process to acquire another vehicle. Good marketing on her part. We decided to switch to an AWD car, avoiding the hassle of snow tires on/off....which were necessary for the Prius. We will miss the fantastic gas mileage with that car (was our 3rd Prius lease). The process was smooth and seamless with the added benefit of Gabes pleasant personality.
Super friendly and all around great people! My WRX overheated near Syracuse on trip from MA to OH. Romano Subaru would not take a look at my car which was under Subaru Warranty. They said they had too busy of a day and that they needed a check engine light to be on in order to take a look. The staff at Fox took me in on short notice and provided great communication and service. The tech let me take a look under the lift to see exactly what was going on with my vehicle and provided me with an in depth analysis of what he thought the problem was and what tests he was going to run in order to diagnose. When I didnt have a my phone charger, they let me borrow a charger. In order to catch a flight to the airport, one of their employees gave me a lift to the airport! Who does that?! Fox Subaru/Toyota does!
Ok to start I saw the Nissan X-Terra, on the internet, I called and asked for a test drive (I saw 2 different cars I liked, when I got there one was already sold but test drove one just like it, I liked the X-terra better). I saw the Window price and told Jamie it was on the their website for $2000 less then window price, he said I might be thinking of a different car (I could have been I looked at a lot of cars on the website). I had to get back to work, asked if I would bring by wife back to see it and also to see if we could afford it. I got home and talked to my wife and looked it up on the their website and there it was priced at $2000 less, so I took a picture & printed it out. My wife and I went back to dealership (Jamie was working with a different customer) but I looked at both cars again. we sat down to wait for Jamie, another guy named Matt started helping, Matt said he was helping until Jamie get could get back to us (ok no problem). I showed the paper work and the picture to Matt (come to find out Matt is the site Manager) said he we would accept the one from the website b/c thats what it was advertised for (then he made what I thought was a joke Today we can accept that price, tomorrow is a different story then he laughed). When Jamie got back with us I showed him the paper and used their internet access to show them their own site and the price. We went over the monthly payment to see if my family could afford it (thinking I was getting it for the website price). Was told it had to go to the shop to tune it up, I has happy with that no one wants a car they have to fix up after they bought it, I was told it would be ready by Tuesday. Both my wife and I took 1/2 day off from work to get paper work filled out, at the last hour got a message it was not ready, it will be ready Thursday I could come at noon for it. Thursday come I was already on my way and got another phone call it still was not ready (lost more time at work), but they will drive it to my house to fill out paper work, I was ok with this. When Jamie got there we went over the paper work and I saw that the other guy was not joking and they went with the window price (and they also forgot to add in the money we where putting down) we signed the wrong paper work but Jamie said he would come to my place of work so my wife and I could sign the right one with the down payment, which he did the next morning. but it was still at the window price not the website price....If it was not for me needing a different car I would have not bought it for this price...then I took it for a ride around the block after every thing was in my name. when I started up the X-terra I saw a warning light on. I got a hold of Jamie and he said they would fix it. I made an appointment and drove over to wait for it to be fixed (was told it would only take an hour) after an hour of waiting I asked how much longer the mechanic said it will be another 3 hours... I walked up to Matt and told him I cant wait another 3 hours asked if they had a rental car till it was done they said no I could take my car and set up another appointment (which I already had b/c they had to fix a broken seat belt). Matt told me b/c I wasted my gas and time he would make sure my car had gas put in it before I picked it up at the next appt. so a week later I dropped off my car and was told there would be a rental waiting for me, there was no such thing I had to wait again for them to find me a car to get to work which I was late for b/c of this problem. any way The car was not done I had to wait again 1 week for my car to get done...Then when I picked it up the gas that was in it was less then what I left it with by 1/4 tank.......again they did not follow through on what they said they would!!!
I needed to rapidly replace my LL Bean edition Forester that had been totaled by an impaired driver. I went to this dealer...they played the salesman tomanager back to salesman make him wait game and after a few hours I gave in and bought (an overpriced) used Forester. The vehicle had persistent problems that the dealer could not fix. Eventually a Subaru national rep was brought in and repairs were effected. During one trip to the dealer before the repairs were finally done, my wife noticed the Forester parked in front of a pizza shop near the dealership. The car was there for an hour and a half...I was told, cars are taken out of the dealer for road testing to help solve problems!!! When the engine blew at 102K, Fox said there was nothing they could do for me. A previous Impreza we owned went to 249K, and our Legacy had >120K when we traded it....So, pricing was not that good, service was dismal, and their walking away from me when there was product failure was not - I think - the sign or habit of a good dealership
Brought my car in after 2 other garages telling me that my catalytic converters were bad and needed to be replaced and the mechanic told me it was only an O2 sensor. I got the car out of the shop and it would not push over 55. After calling back and telling them this issue the service writer muted me because an employee in the background said he had the same issue. So my car was cleared on paper and by their service writer after paying around $1000 left the garage in the same condition as it went in. Terrible service department and I wouldnt recommend this place or any fox dealership to anyone I know.
What a horrible experience, total waste of 3and a half hours. this people are deceiving and disgusting. we were going back and forth with a deal and finally they just play dumb. so they are we had left and well never go there again. Jane fox is a liar with the deceiving tv commercials. dont ever trust her just go else where. we got to Romano in Syracuse Hiawatha blvd and got the car without a hustle and on our terms.
I recently leased a new 2015 Subaru Legacy from Fox Subaru. The salesman, Jimmy B. was the best! He was very knowledgeable about Subarus & had a delightful sense of humor :)I checked out many AWD cars & SUVs & I found the Subaru Legacy the best overall value for the money.I chose Fox because I bought my 1st new Subaru Impreza from them in 2002 & I had it until just now when I traded it in!I love Subarus! They are the ultimate AWD cars & SUVs Fox has been good to me with friendly, courteous, professional staff & I will continue to be a loyal customer. Who knows, I may have this car another 12 years!

2022-05-27Start to finish the whole process of working with this dealership was great. My partner and I initially started talking to Dean about purchasing a 2022 Subaru and he was very helpful, friendly, and responsive. We got an appointment set up with Scott who showed us the car, took for a test drive, and gave us a lot of great information. He was very friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and listened to what we wanted and needed. He was very helpful with explaining some things to us regarding the financing options as well. We ended up putting a hold on the car that day and finalized the purchase the following day. The car was ready to go and Scott even set up some of the special features that came with and imported our info into maps etc. We were introduced to the service dept as well as the manager - everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. The whole process was really thorough but very fast.Overall the experience was really a 10/10. I don’t think there is a single complaint from my partner or I. Thank you to the whole team!

2022-01-02Refreshingly pleasant experience. Spoke to several people at this dealership throughout the process of my purchase, and each one was extremely easy to deal with, and most importantly, NO BS!I left all my local Subaru dealers, and drove five hours upstate just to work with the folks at Fox Subaru.Special shout out to Zachary who really went the extra mile and put a personal touch on my buying experience.Loads of shady dealerships out there, but the folks at Fox are a breath of fresh air!

2022-06-15We had a great experience at Fox Toyota. We had Chris S. as our associate. I contacted Chris around noon and by 8pm that same day we drove home our new car. He was quick, very responsive and fast at everything. He did everything over the phone for us while we were working. We went in signed papers and were out the door. I HIGHLY recommend working with Chris. He gave us EVERYTHING we asked for. Excellent customer service.

2022-02-04Just recently purchased my second Subaru from this company. I couldn’t be any happier to do business with them! Very friendly staff that are always willing to go above and beyond to meet customers needs. They are also military friendly, which is a big plus. I had the privilege to work with Clint and Jim in sales and Dave in finance and they did a wonderful job meeting my expectations and making the purchase of one of my dreams cars happen, forever grateful. Thank you so much Fox Subaru!

2022-03-03We showed up late to the dealership and they still worked a whole deal with us, Very nice and easy to work with. Very clean dealership. Christopher Schneible gave us as much information and walked us through the entire process, from the trade in to the final signature. We enjoyed how easy and how efficient they have their process. I now have the perfect vehicle for my family and all of the people that helped us, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

2022-06-09The staff in Service is accommodating, friendly efficient and great at communicating what services are being provided and why. I have had the privilege of having Nicole handle my work and concerns. She always has a smile and makes me feel my needs are being met. She deserves accolades and recognition. The other ladies and gentleman are just as capable and productive. I’ve only seen them in conferences with other clients but they too are top notch, from what I observe. Great team!

2022-04-26I have been buying cars from Fox Auto Group now Auburn Auto Group for over 25 years. I have always received excellent customer service from sales and the service departments. Purchasing a car during the chip shortage and COVID makes it a challenge but as always the team has been great to work with. Its worth the time to check them out. Ask for Paul Kelly when you stop in, he will take great care of you.

2022-03-18Overall very pleased with the service and the front end staff. I had made an appointment about a week prior and was sent a text reminder a couple days before. I was sent a text giving me direct access to my customer representative and she did promptly answer my questions. The only ding I have is that I dropped the car off at 730 and said I would like it back by 330. It took until 430. With staffing issues these days, maybe this is to be expected? I was pleased that there was no call about additional work being needed although I expect that it is a good practice to let someone know that a part needs to berepaired or at least should be.

2022-04-28Got the exact Subaru I wanted when no other dealer had what I wanted. Buying process was quick and easy, took about two hours tops and I was on my way. My salesman Chris was great to work with. Would definitely recommend.
