Sold MY Rims that I Put A deposit on. I broke my ankle and couldnt drive. They Called me a month ago asking if I still wanted the rims and tires, as they had a protentional buyer. I tell them yes. I call today As Im currently back driving to PAY OUT MY BALANCE and Im told they shipped the Rims back out??? Which in translation means they Sold them. They say support local, and this is what you get. Screw this place.

Excellent service, great prices, had an issue they bent over backwards to fix it. Update 8/3 Had issue with sensor . brought tire in and they fixed immediately,no waiting. If ur in the market for Rims and tires Fox tire is the place.
Howard that I spoke with on the phone was very nice and professional. He actually listened to me when I explained the problems I was having. He called back after he drove it and told me what was wrong with it. They fixed it and I picked it up early the next morning.
Always extremely busy, so I would be prepared to drop your car off. Brought my car back for turn signal after bulb was replaced by them 3 months ago. Possible connection or socket issue because it keeps flickering on and off. I brought my car in twice this week before 9am only to be told it would be hours before they can take a look. I asked If I can make an appointment, they said no. Just to bring the car at 7:45am because everything is first come first serve. At this point I would rather get serviced elsewhere, most car places have appointments & that works with my schedule a lot better (have a child that needs to be dropped off at school so dropping it off this early is not an option unless its Saturday...which is an even busier day )Some days they are understaffed . Tires arent the best prices either. Went to replace 2 tires with used ones and total came to $140. Took it down the street and got some for $90. Their work is good if you can get it done. I just find the waiting time/scheduling (lack of) to be a bit inconvenient & prices definitely higher than many other local shops. Wish I could go there for quick fixes because its 5 minutes from my house but just isnt an optionUpdate Feb 6th 2022--Fox tire continues to text me periodically to check in on tires I previously bought , or to book an appointment. I responded back to book and appointment, and no one ever reached out to me or texted back.I also have called and went in person several times to make an appointment, and am told they dont take appointments. Thats my issue, why offer appointments to customers to then ignore them or have other employees say you dont do them.
Found me some used tires for my vehicle, got my car in and out very quickly even though there was about 12 cars ahead of me.
I took my car in to have tires rotated . When the put the tires back on the vehicle , they never tighten the lug nut on the tires . I was driving my car started to shake I pulled over and called AAA and they informed me , there were no lig nuts on my tires . I could have been killed !!! Never will I go to FOX Tires again !!
I was in a pinch looking for new tires as I had a flat and was worried I wouldnt be able to walk in without an appointment. I walked right in and they got me the tires I needed at an affordable price and I was out in an hour. This place is chaotic but they know what they are doing and it works! I will definitely be there again next time I need tires!
I can say most of their tire prices are cheaper than anywhere else. Mr Fox is beyond nice and accommodating. However I had a horrible experience with the tire mechanic in the back. I couldnt get his name but he had a raspy voice middle aged. He was screaming and swearing about how he doesnt need this job because the tire they gave him had a hole in it. I get things come up at your job the one customers are in the garage you should act proper. Not to mention another mechanic came outside looking for a vehicle in which I thought he was looking for mine so I got out and asked and he had the nerve to give me an attitude saying Im in line dont worry about it. You want to keep your customers pricing isnt the only way to do it. Teacher tire mechanics or customer service is about.

I called today at 7:45. They answered even though they open at 8. I explained that I blew a tire coming into B-Lo and needed fixing in short order. They took me in at 8:15 and I was out by 9am. Eric, Jordan and team were awesome! They are. Well oiled machine!

I put the tire there don’t drive even 1.5 months the tire is gone. But when I was buy thay said 3 month warranty. Now that said oh we can’t do nothing. Lol.
Be careful these scam artist will sell you new tires that sat on a shelf somewhere for 10 years. And when you try to mount them they rip and tear and then they say it aint the tire. When you look it up online it explains exactly how unsafe it is driving on old dry rotted tires. Never again buy tires from these guys.

Got 2 tires for a family members car while mine was in the shop. The guys at the counter are always helpful and the techs are pretty quick. That car makes 6 vehicles Ive put tires on from here. Wont go anywhere else.

Ive been to this auto place twice. And in my opinion they are very expensive. Good service and Im speaking for the guy that does the rims his department he helped me was very patient. I give them 2 stars because its supposed to be supply and demand but I think certain policies should be in place to help the consumer. And they should work on the prices I seen people come in and want the work done but second guess it because of the prices.

Buyers Beware!!! Trying to sell tire with date code of 2615 for and as new tire. Tire was made in June of 2015 no manufacture warranty or warranty of any kind what so ever but still trying to sell a 2015 tire as new for new tire price. Tire manufacturer states tire is only good for 6 years from tire date after that should not be sold and should be discarded that would have been in June of 2021, Buyers learn how to google and check you date codes before purchasing tires, I would also be very leery of doing any other business with this company if they can be this dishonest.

Definitely not a flashy shop or anything, but they do great work! Needed a new tire, mine had a hole and needed replacing. They had a used one, matched it to the other 3 I had and got it done in good time. Prices were very reasonable, would definitely recommend these guys!
I’ve brought two different cars here to get tires on. When I come I need new tires no other issues with the car. When I leave I have new set of tires but I also leave with break issues that I didn’t have when I came. First time it happened let it pass second time happening on a new car I don’t think it’s a coincidence. Would not recommend this place.

Excellent service. A pulley and belt broke. Got a tow from AAA & it didn’t count against me because fox is affiliated with them!! So I got my car towed and serviced within 5/6 hours!! Oh & with the AAA discount it was only $214! Long story short. Get AAA & choose Fox tire on William!
Fine experience for 1st time there. Thing i liked was they didnt try to pressure me to spend more money. I wanted used tires, they brought me out a couple to look at and I make a choice. Didnt recommend this or that, or try to sell me brand new ones, just sold me what I wanted. Very respectable.

Fox Tires has been around for ages and its my go to place for new or used tires. I expected no less than what they give, TIRES! LOL They do their jobs and get you out the door as fast as possible. I hope they stay around because without them wed have a hard time finding affordable yet quality tires. 4 stars because they laughed at me for sitting in the car instead of getting out like everyone else so they can raise the car to install the tires 🤔🙄 Hey I was having a bad day. Anyway, Fox Tires are the best if youre balling on a budget and want some quality tires.
Place is good enough. Just one time I had new tires installed I found later the center caps were never put back on. I should have looked it over better before I left so it is my fault. It didnt and wont keep me from going again because it is a good place with good prices and the staff will try their best.

Fox tire is great at what they do, theyre affordable and give you the option from a used tire to pass inspection or a high end tire for all your needs. They hold your tires for the season. If you want new tires, this is great place for quality tires that are not overpriced like most dealerships. One thing you must know, theyre first come first serve. Expect to wait an hour to several hours for service.
Professional and courteous, got the job done quick and right. Good selection of tires and will inform you of your choices beyond the basics of you just ask. The wait can be long depending on when you get there, I suggest as early as possible near opening time for the fastest service. Been before and will be there again when needed. I highly recommend.
This place is always busy but dont let that deter you the service is very fast they wont keep you all day. The staff knows what theyre doing Ive been going here for the last 10 years to get my snow tires and regular tires switched off for the winter season they store the tires for you onsite so you dont have to lug them back and forth from your garage or basement to the shop. Average wait time in the shop from beginning to end 2 hours.

If I could give no stars I would. Shop for tires here if you do not value your life. I was sold a tire yesterday in less than 24 hours later, had a complete flat. I asked to have them send someone out to replace the tire and they said they couldnt. Furthermore I asked for a refund (of one tire) and they said they couldnt do that as well. My father had mentioned Fox Tires was a bunch of crooks that sold patched/plugged tires, my husband should have taken that advice. What a joke of a business.

Its astounding how fast they get customers in and out. When we arrived there were a ton of people waiting, but their work orders were called quickly and everyone was friendly. They have every option you could need, every condition of used tires and new. Great go to if youre in a pinch and need used tires quickly.
Very professional and affordable. They didnt have used tires in the size I needed, but they got me new ones for a little less than Walmart! Next day my car had a rattle. They put it up & took time to check it out, then showed me what was going on for free. The problem was with the exhaust system, nothing to do with the new tires. There was no pressure to have more work done but they explained it and told me how to make an appointment.

I cannot believe how incredibly fast the service was! I was in and out in less than 20 minutes and that includes payment and changing of the tire and putting everything back together. It was very affordable and they were able to match my used tire almost perfectly. I will definitely be using them for all of my future tire needs.
Great customer service, fast and friendly. I had a problem with my one tire brought it back and they fixed it immediately. Good customer service and low prices. Only needed assistance with snow tires that had a slow leak. $17 per tire to fix. Just be advised... Get here early and expect a wait of 1 1/2 to 2 hours during busy times. Its a popular place.
They are very legit people, I bought tires and after four months my tires developed few manufacturers defect, they changed those tires without any charges.. who does that??Definatly, recommend them for business..
My tires were good, service took some time.. but they were quite busy. One of the workers broke my phone charger in my vehicle and then tried fixing it with gluing the tip back in.. I had just used the charger b4 dropping off my vehicle

Customer service was great however they told me it would be 30 minutes and it was 2 hours and 15 minutes that is simply unacceptable if its gonna be that long you need to tell somebody its gonna be that long.
Paid 600 Dollars for a steering hose and it still leaks , and I Feel that if You charge people 3-500 Dollars for Oxygen Sensor Replacement ... The Customer Shouldn’t have to drive 50-60 miles that should Already be Done

It has been a year or so since I actually had my car serviced here. The short version is, they were a little brusque, but absolutely excellent.The long version: I found out just as I was getting stuck in Peace Bridge traffic that my car was overheating. It was already 100F outside. So we threw the heat on full-blast and plowed forward. My cousin’s wedding was the next day and I was 200 miles from home, so staying out wasn’t really an option. Fox Tire was one of the few shops open on Saturday, so we drove over there to have ‘em figure out the problem. It turned out to be just the radiator fan, specifically a burned out bit of electronics, but their parts supplier didn’t have any in stock. My driving buddy absolutely had to be home Monday morning, so we asked if they could install one if we found it somewhere else. The answer was “yes, but we probably can’t do it before the end of the day.” We got the part anyway and brought it to Fox Tire. They managed to install it about a half hour before the end of the day. Fantastic service, excellent problem solvers, very quick work. They’d be my mechanic for everything if I lived in Buffalo.
This place has been great for years. May have to wait a while but not long to get your tires changed. This is the place to go if you want it done correctly.

Got my tire patched. Whole process took about 1.5 hours. Cost was 25 dollars and the patch held with no problem. Not a fan of how they make you drive into and out of the bays though. So make sure you leave yourself enough room to get out on the driver side.
Zero stars. Went in for two used tires and they never torqued my lug bolts tight enough and practically destroyed my brand new brakes. I called and they were of no help and did not want to help period. Tightening the lugs was all it took to correct it. Worst part was when I had to remove two of the wheels later on he mustve used an impact to put them on. I had to drill out and replace two of my original lugs which took forever. Ive been told by many to not go there because of how inexperienced they are there. Tell me how a tire mechanic doesnt know how to put a tire back on a Volkswagen. This place is shady. Order your used tires online and have someone else thats more reputable put them on. I wouldnt want this to happen to anyone else. I will also be filing a complaint with the BBB.

Went to this place for a patch, left with a plug. I paid for a patch, a patch was charged on my receipt. When I asked for a refund of the difference on the price, I was denied and told that my receipt was wrong. $22 for a plug in my tire! I would not recommend going to this place, complete rip off
Im not too sure about this place some of the workers seem to be un informed or miscommunication issues. Work was ok but had to bring back my vehicle a couple of times because the same reaccuring issue kept coming back.

Great alternative to the big chains or expensive auto parts dealers! Fox has been around since 1955 and is an East Side Buffalo institution. Excellent, friendly service - really good prices - reliable estimates - quick turnaround... everything youd want in your tire dealer.They carry every major brand, lots of performance products, many budget brands and even quality used tires, so youre bound to get your ride done right by them. My family has dealt with them for three generations and has nothing but good to say for these guys. If shopping local and supporting a family run business makes your decision easier, there you go!Seriously... if you need tires, give Fox Tire a try. Theyll make you glad you did.
I went there for a used tire and came out with a plugged piece of trash. For 65 bucks I should have got something better than 25% tread and a plug. When I went to the front desk the guy said the plug is permanent and that I got a good deal. Terrible service these guys are straight crooks take your $ elsewhere

I can not recommend this place more. I grey up the son of a tire salesman and I know all the tricks, the best thing you can do for your self is find a place like Fox tire. They are kind of the place where people take their very nice tires to replace them with bigger flashier tires so they always have lots of good as new tires for a lot less. Never buy new tires if you can help it. Ill be honest with you though, I know jack squat about cars despite getting a mechanics assistance ASE certification in my high school years. I get nervous seeking advice about cars. I recently had a state inspection due and it had been over 2 years since i put tires on my 98 corolla, so I went to fox. Before I even got out of the car in the lot a young man asked me if he could help. I explained that I needed tires he told me mine were almost as good as new, and they went the extra mile by actually showing me how to read my treads, no silly tricks with pennies or dimes, the way to read is a rubber notch right there in the tire, so simple. By the way the tire installers are like machines, its in and out every time.
Make sure to ask for THE licensed mechanic to work on your vehicle because they have guys with no type of certification working on your vehicle. And when they make a mistake the liability is on you. Be sure to ask a lot of questions and bring someone Knowledgeable about cars. If you see this man be careful he is a scam artist. If you can find some where else to go. Goo! He makes damn sure to get over on you. Be mindful.
I Love Fox Tire! I usually get 2 brand new tires, a rotation and an alignment. Depending on the volume of customers im usually out of there within an hour and a half. They are very professional and the mechanics are knowledgeable. What i really like is their prices are always consistent. My bill is always the same price give or take a few buck for NYS taxes smh. I highly recommend them.

Even front end employees are dingy and the language is what youd expect among buddies in a bar not a place conducting business.They barely greet you when you walk in the door. Ive also never seen a repair shop where the customer pulls their own vehicle into the service bay.Decent peices on tires but they could learn much about customer service!

I had a bad tire ( simple,) go to fox tire get used tire mounted and balanced this was about 2 weeks ago any way changing the shocks driver side record time get to the passenger side the side the was changed and my impact cant bust them loose now I set van back on ground and get 3 breaker bar I struggle to get 3 loose and theyre not going back on the forth one I bust the acorn nut twist it 2 leaving the head of acorn busted off in the rim same for number 5 really pissed now I have to drill them out and once I get tire off you can see the other studs look funny they need to be changed I cant believe he put them on so tight for this to happen i really wish I could post a picture you wouldnt believe it

The owner(Eric) is so passionate about his business and the GM (Jim) could not have been nicer. No wonders they have been a Buffalo institution for over 60 years.

I just left fox tire after my co worker told me about his favorite tire company , I bought 4 used tires for my 2008 explorer, my salesmen Eric found me 4 matching Goodyear tires for 225.00 $ complete !! Service was great / price great , I had to wait about 20 min to get in garage because they were so busy , but I usually feel a business is busy for a reason ..... it was worth the wait !! Need a uses tire. This is the place in Buffalo. Got a fair price (the going rate), with a Deep Tread used tire 9-10/32nds. This is phenomenal. Best used tires Ive ever received. Im a contractor with a truck and trailers. Go through tires faster than most. Used is the way to go. $70 vs $200...includes mounting and balancing. Best of all worlds.

I called early in the morning to get (4) new tires my vehicle, not only was the price right, I was there about 20 minutes and the service was excellent 👌
This is my go to spot for tires and most car issues. Prices are cheap to fair depending on what you need. Wait times can be little long (because everyone goes there) so definitely get there early if you can.
Fox Tire is possibly the largest and most popular tire shop in the city of Buffalo. With that being said, it can get a little crowded which makes the wait time a tad bit longer than normal. They are very very friendly people so Ill always consider Fox when getting repairs.

I was out of town on my way to Philly from Canada and had a sudden leak in a chrome 90° valve stem on one aftermarket wheel.Two other tire shops turned me away because they were unable to work on a low profile tire or a special valve stem.I called Fox and they told me to bring it in. Ive been a customer of fox tire for years. Their used tires are reasonably priced, and Ive never had any problems or complaints. The reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars is because of that loud door between the waiting room and the mechanics area. Its been like that for years. Bam, Bam, Bam... Fix it please guys.. its so annoying!!! 😖😵

$170 for an alignment on my car that is slightly lowered. By the time I got home I realized my alignment was worse than when I got there. Complete scam.

Friendly staff but prices went up a bunch. Last time I paid $70 for rim and tire, this time they charged me $61 just for one tire. About a 1.5 to 2 hour wait as well.
And one day blew a tire blew the spare went to Fox tires they took care of me fast and easy I appreciated it.

Called once yesterday morning looking for a price and information on tires. gave the gentleman on the phone the information about what I needed, my name and my phone number and he said he would do some research and call me back. I never heard back from them so today I called again, talked to someone else and gave them all the same info and they told me the same thing, that they would look to see what was available and call me back. That person never called me back either.As a business owner myself, I always make it a point to return phone calls, whether I can help the person or not, or even if its a job that is out of our scope of practice, I still call every person back. Im not sure how this outfit expects to prosper as a business when they cant even be bothered to cl someone back (twice). Taking my business elsewhere.
They are not Practising proper Covid protocol they walk around with no masks on and they allow clients to sit in the waiting area with no mask on

Affordable and fast service. Everywhere else I went to get my flat fixed it was minimum $100. Instead, I went here, got it done for $50 and 15 minutes later I was ready to go.

Had alignment done, they forgot a lug nut on the front right tire. Alignment didny last even three months. Better to go with Firestone tire

Went and had four tires mounted and balance And they told me 16.95 for each tire and my sister went had had one put on and they told her 19.95 and they should charge her the other 3 dollars per tire that they didn’t charge me I will not be goin back there

I was placed on hold without being asked or even told...I had my tire size ready and asked if they sold used tires he said yes I asked for a quote he said between 30-50 and I asked what percent treading is on them he did not respond and than got vocal with me and hung up this place lost my business due to there poor customer service
I got rear struts put on my Cavalier. It took them a long time but they got the job done and at the price they quoted me.
I am always pleased with the fair pricing, suggestions and staff. I did run into a troubling situation that was resolved in a short period of time.

2022-04-09If there was an option of negative stars I would have chose that, the first time I had my truck in they didn’t balance the tires and it was shaking really bad. I took it back in and the rebalanced them but the air pressure was 7 pounds different between the front tires, they broke caps off of my Lugnuts, the valve stem caps were different, not all the same, And the torque on the tires was different on all of them, I will never go back there and you are warned

2022-07-01More like zero stars. I purchased four new tires from them sometime in July 2020. I took them at their word these were new. THEY WERE DRY ROTTED. I have 3 vehicles some of which have had tires for seven years and were not dry rotted. I had to have all 4 tires replaced this month. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM EVER. These tires were sitting on shelves for years and they sell them as NEW. GO ANYWHERE ELSE.

2022-04-06I had a Terrible Experience on Saturday 4/2/22 and Would give ZERO STARS if it was an option. I purchased 4 used tires , super overpriced, they did a rush job, and when leaving, I noticed the back rear tire was FLAT, they put on another one, but DID NOT BALANCE IT. All they wanted to do is Sell and I will NEVER GO BACK THERE EVER !!!! I suggest you go to Community Tire on Seneca Street, much better all around..

2022-05-05I will NOT be coming back. Last month I went in for a tire plug.. told me had 2 get new tire. Also tired 2 get me 2 get 2 other tires.. said they wont pass inspection next month. Said Ill wait till inspection. Just got inspection done.. but had my husband drop off my car. Guess what..I didnt need not 1 new tire.. Im so upset that they took advantage of me just because Im a female.

2021-03-03I went there for a transmission problem and to have my taillights fixed. I believe I was overcharged for the transmission. The tail lights werent fixed even though they told me they were. I had to return for a second visit to have tail lights actually repaired. And in the process of repairing the taillights they broke the reverse light cover and try to blame it on me. I am very unhappy with the unprofessionalism. And now I have to wait a nother 1 to 2 days to have the tail lights replaced. So this will make my 3rd visit for one problem. Fox tire in my opinion seems very unprofessional to the point of being considered the shady mechanic and price gouging. After the tail light is repaired I will never return there for any other auto mechanic problems or recommend them to anyone.

2022-05-10Been a long Time customer until I need some wheel spacers which I ordered through fox tires and clearly overpaid. 350$ for wheel spacers smh all for them to tell me that they don’t install them which I was promised that they do. Definitely don’t recommend any one here
