First of all they told me free oil change then the realized my car had over the mileage so they charged me for it then they tired charging for a tire rotation when I said I didn’t want one! My tires are a month old and I get free tire rotations! They did take that off! But they should have honored the free oil change if they said so when I dropped off car!
Had to wait for parts to be delivered for 3 weeks. We understand that issue but service employee repeatedly said the car would be ready the next day , etc when it clearly was not. Poor communication, but leaking hose was repaired satisfactorily at the initial quoted price.
WOW Beleive they think the public is stupid. They put a license plate light assembly in my 21 Toyota pick up,because it filled with water.Thats great but I have had to jump the veh twice and asked them to check the battery and charging system. The response from the young lady at the counter was the battery tested fine. She says to me it only has 3000 miles on it. I explained I drive it 16 miles a day.. The truck only has 3000 miles on it what a responce.I has to jump again this am. I honestly dont think they actually tested the battery. Poor service. I wanted to trade my wifes car in and get her a new one, the salesman and my wife and I talked about it. When we left my wife and I agreed not to buy it there. If they offer poor service why buy one there.Very unsatisfactory fixed with there response No recommendations here.
I am always amazed with the customer service and quality of service at Fox Toyota. It is easy to drop your car off in the evening or the morning and the communication is awesome. You always get a text or phone call if something more is needed to be done and you always know right when your car can be picked up.
I had a great experience. My salesman Chris Schneible was knowledgeable about all the vehicle technology and took the time to walk me through most of it. He got me a fair price for my trade in, extended warranty, and undercoating. The financing process went seemlessly. I was in and out in about 3-4 hours but it would have taken less time except I added the undercoating, Scotchgard, and paint protection while I was there so I had to wait for that. I would highly recommend buying a vehicle from Fox Toyota.

Over priced on services for a vehicle I bought there. Bought service plan when I bought the car however when I tell them I have the service they tell me there are no discounts on the services I recieved. Not sure why I bothered paying for the extended service agreement when I dont recieve discouts on regular service maitanance on my vehicle. Service receptionneeds to work on knowledge of service maintenance.
Things that make you go hmm. Went there to get a duplicate electronic key plus inspection and an oil change for my mothers car. Gave instructions that if they found any issue that was more than $500 to call me first. Bill came to $499. Keys and oil have become awfully expensive lately. Maybe they gave me a discount.
I recently decided to lease a 2022 Toyota Corolla from Fox dealership in Auburn New York. My 2011 Camry served me well, and it was time for a new car. I was lucky to work with Gabe as my sales agent. She was knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. She listened to my needs and explained the leasing process to me. This car has so many new features that were foreign to me. My first time having a back up camera! Gabe walked me through all of the features and set me up for success! I have since contacted her with any questions that arise and she is quick to answer. Gabe is a Gem!! Need a car…. Ask for Gabe!
Just drove two hours to this Toyota dealership to pick up a 2022 rav4. Cousin was set on this SUV and it was a beauty. All the haggling was done, purchase order signed with trade in vehicle ready for the swap. Only problem was that the vehicle they wanted her to drive away with was a 2021 model. No apologies from the sales manager, just a half hearted sorry from the rude salesman. (Yes, this guy was rude and I would have asked for a salesperson that really wanted to sell a vehicle!) I havent been in a Toyota dealership for years and was impressed with a poster proclaiming all purchases came with Toyota Care, my only question to those people is... does it come with vaseline???I know she will not be purchasing a new SUV from Fox Toyota in Auburn. I wouldnt even consider them.
Arrived for a routine vehicle service appointment--uncertain of the amount of time that would be needed, requested a shuttle service. This would ensure the Service Department was not rushed and I would return to work quickly.Within a relatively short time, quite less than an hour, no sooner did the Shuttle driver arrive, the vehicle was pulling out for pick up.From the moment I entered the facility and throughout each interaction, the representatives were helpful, courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. Such a pleasure to have this level of customer service.Thank you all. By doing what you do so well, I can return and attend to my customers.
Our salesman, Scott, made us feel welcome and comfortable as we proceeded through the process of purchasing a new vehicle. He was engaging, knowledgeable and professional throughout the transaction. Everyone we met was friendly as they accomplished the sales details in a timely and thorough fashion. We were happy we dealt with Fox Toyota, and lucky to have had Scott guide us through the sale. We called and made an appointment on a Saturday to drive a Highlander. Our Salesperson was Chris Dutton. He was very helpful. He answered all our questions. He was very easy to deal with and was not pushy at all. We made the decision to purchase the vehicle. This was an amazingly painless process. We spoke to the financing person( I can’t remember his name) and he was also extremely nice and easy to deal with. We returned the next Saturday to pick up our car. It was all ready to go and Chris spent a considerable amount of time with us signing all the paperwork and explaining all the details of the car. I would go as far as to say that this car buying experience was the easiest and the most pleasant experience that we have ever had. I would highly recommend Fox Toyota.
Terrible service. I purchased a 2021 corolla hybrid from Fox Toyota back in April, 2021. The salesman talked my ear off in the freezing weather for way too long. He never told me the price of the car, and was all set to do the paperwork without ever TELLING me the price, I had to ask several times and he had to go ask his supervisor... Paperwork was done incorrectly with simple things like the spelling of my name and address which he had copies of on my license. I ended up being at the dealership for several additional hours because of this. Due to a fire, I did not have the title for the car I was trading in. We requested it through the dealership as we were told this would be the fastest way to obtain it during COVID, and then 7 MONTHS LATER after several unanswered phone calls and threats from lawyers they are finally cutting the check for the car that we traded in they practically stole. To top it off, after purchasing the car they ask you to review the salesperson understandably, I gave him average ratings. He then pressured me to give him outstanding ratings or else he would get in trouble... what kind of service is that? PRESSURING someone to write a better review for you? When all they want to do is leave with their car after being at the dealership for 10+ hours over two days? Fox Toyota has some of the best inventory in the area, but I promise I will drive as far as I need to away from the dealership from now on, I will never go back to them again.
Had a recall on fuel pump. They could not do it because I filled up day b4 service. No one told me they needed half tank of gas or less. They did not even say sorry fir your inconvenience. I was irritated. First issue with Fox Toyota, all other services 5 star. I will continue to use them.
Everything was awesome when looking for my car and choosing one, after I signed all the papers and took my car home they wouldnt call me back about pricing for a car starter or answer any of messages. I still have the title for the car I traded in waiting to give it to them but no one will call me back. It was like OK we made the sale and they wrote me off. Very frustrating.

I originally purchased a Subaru Forester and after about a year there was a recall on the car. The oil rings were faulty and it consumed oil very quickly. I was burning through a quart every other week. I took the car in and they wanted to charge me to test this and told me they would top it off and come back in 3000 miles. I explained to them that this was a recall and had to print the tech bulletin from Subaru and get the manager involved. Right from the start they tried charging me and sending me away. If the car was burning through a quart every other week and I came back in 3000 miles the engine would be seized. They contacted corporate and called me back. I was right and they said everything would be taken care of.The service manager told me that they would need to change the engine block. I asked about trading it in towards a Highlander and making this a better experience. First the sales person looked at me and said that they were to expensive for me. Shocked and really confused about such a horrible statement I was tempted to walk away right there. Instead I ignored the comment and said please look into the Highlander up front. After running my credit, instantly I was treated like a celebrity. They couldn’t get me in the Highlander fast enough. This is where I should have just walked away.I bought the Highlander and spent the extra money for the first time ever to buy the Toyota Platinum warranty. It was for 125,000 miles, 8 years and 0 deductible that cost over 3k. So far I have always done all of my own mechanical work. This is because my father was a master mechanic owned his own shop and I grew up holding wrenches and thought this would give me more time with the family.The Highlander is now 5 years old and started making a horrible dry bearing noise with 84,000 miles on it. There are a few ways to check this but to pinpoint the noise I went right to the driveline. After checking the wheel for play I took the tire off, brake rotor and pads to spin the shaft to see where the sound is coming from. Turning just the bearing by hand it sounded like nails on a chalk board. Spin it faster and the hum started singing a tune. While under the car I also notice the sealed transmission has a big wet spot on the pan. I look up the warranty book and all is supposed to be covered.I call the dealer and tell them what I found and not having a warranty before asked what to expect. I was told it sounds like everything is covered and it shouldn’t cost me anything. I arrange a drop off and very specifically say that if this is going to cost anything I need to know beforehand. Once again I’m assured that all the items should be covered under my warranty. My wife who is dropping off the car has our latest addition with her who is three. Not being told anything is given a sheet to sign that she thought was for the loaner vehicle.An hour and a half later I receive a text message stating that the noise was just from the tires being cupped and the leak wasn’t active so they cleaned it off and come back in 1000 miles. Still nothing about any cost or notification to the registered owner, title holder and warranty policy owner...me.I call and I am fed this garbage that the noise is from the tires and the leak isn’t bad and not to worry because the light will come on. They didn’t even check the transmission fluid level! Realizing this place is clearly not any good I chose to let it go and say ok we’ll come get our car.My wife comes back to get the car with our three year old and they give her a bill for $ 70. She asked did you call my husband about this and they flat out say “nope, we didn’t bring it up”. Not knowing what to do and having a child with her she paid and left.I took the car to the place we bought the tires just to prove a point and they laughed and asked if they needed to teach Fox what a cupped tire looks like they have a demo.I am putting together a video review showing the bad bearing, cupped wheel diagnosis and the fix on YouTube for Fox Toyota so others can stay clear of their service.
I made an appointment, was told the recall repair would take around 90 minutes. When I arrived on time for my appointment I was told it would be 2.5 to 3 hrs. 🤷🏻 Josh, the salesman, was cool to chat with while I waited. I’m pretty sure a saleswoman there rolled her eyes at me because I was wearing a mask. I didn’t see a single employee choosing to wear a mask so maybe it’s frowned upon in there. They told me I needed new front tires because the “tread is low.” I’m no mechanic or technician but tire tread is something I can monitor. Those tires are fine. 🤷🏻 90% of the staff seemed annoyed to be at work. I remember when I bought my Tacoma in Binghamton the salesman was affable and genuine. I wasn’t picking up the same energy at Fox Auburn.
I took my car in for a 60000 mile check and service. When I made the appointment I was looking at the service manual and checked that what I requested is what I got. After dropping my car off, I did receive a call asking if I wanted some additional brake work done, but there was no hard sell. Just a call to say what was found and pointing it out to me. That was nice. I was quite pleased with the service I received both from the mechanics and the service representative.
Honesty, I’m a little disappointed. I believe my car 90 day warranty ended a few days before they could get me in to replace my front brakes. However I called before my warranty ended so I’m a upset that it was not covered and I paid 500 dollar for only two rotors. They didn’t replace the brake pads or anything. However, the brakes are way better and I feel safe driving my car. They did replace the control arm for no charge so I thank them for that.
The actual service work (oil change and tire swap) was fine. When I dropped off the car they quoted a price that seemed high but I gave them my keys and left. While I waited I researched online the prices on their scheduling system and I realized the quoted number was high. So I mentioned the pricing on the website when I picked up my car. At first the counter person argued with me then I was compelled to look it up online and show them. They finally adjusted the price to the website price but they made it seem like it was my fault which is not great customer service.
This was our third lease with the Fox Dealerships and the second with Fox Toyota. We have never been pressured. The Sales personnel are all very courteous and respectful. We will definitely continue dealing with them and also would recommend them to family and friends.
I needed an oil change and tire rotation while visiting the area. The service team were friendly yet professional. It took about 35-40 minutes which was almost half the time than other Subaru dealers Ive gone to and when they rotated the tires, they didnt gouge my rim like another dealer did. I totally recommend this dealers service dept.
Had a great experience with Fox Subaru in Auburn and thought I would share. I bought my 2020 Forrester from Fox in March 2020. Unbeknownst to me, it came with locking lugnuts on all 4 wheels. So fast forward a year when I needed the safety inspection (not at Fox) and the guy needs a key to get the wheel off, which I did not have of course. Went to Fox, and after searching high and low for where the key might be, they had me make an appointment to remove the locking lugs, replace them with standard, and perform my inspection. Solved all of my problems at once, and for that I give the service team 5 stars!
My husband and I had a wonderful experience at the Fox Dealership. Scott Micho was very, knowledgeable, helpful and patient with us as we made our decision to by a new vehicle. Scott’s sense of humor made us feel at ease.We would not only be happy to buy future vehicles from this dealership and Scott, but would also recommend them.

We are very disappointed with our overall experience with this company. Starting with the salesman named Zip. I came in to ask about some issues with the car and he could not be bothered with any of it. The car was not cleaned when we received it. Both fobs had to have the batteries replaced in them within the first 5 months of owning the car. When we went to get the oil changed for the first time, we normally rotate the tires at the same time, but could not because the dealership did not give us the lug nuts key for it. Then the tires had to be replaced within the first four month of owning it. And now at 50,000 miles the water pump went. So we had to have it replaced and were told to get it in at 8am and it would only take two hours. They never finished working on the car until after 3pm due to the mechanic not being able to stay focused on one task at a time told to us by the lady at the service desk. I will never recommend this place and will never buy another vehicle from them again.
Customer services is always great . I wish they would be able to keep my scheduled time. I had an appointment at 1pm and did not leave till 3pm . Had tires rotated, squeal in my engine area occasionally which it was not making noise at the time I brought it in. Looked at my fuel door and also checked about a recall .
I just purchased a Subaru Outback XT. Scott Micho was the sales person that I worked with. He took the extra time to make sure that all my expectations were fulfilled. Matt Boicourt was the only good thing of the whole transaction. Only went there because work colleagues raved about Fox. When I went to pick up the car the salesman was more interested in his coffee, and phone. Never went through the car to explain the bells and whistles (good thing Matt did for some when I test drove it) . Threw the keys on the table and when all the paperwork was done…said..”that’s it, and said thanks for your business.” I had to ask him to go over some things on the car. And when he was in the car…continued to look at his phone. Obviously, I was a burden to him at that point. Next time…It will be Romano for me. They have always treated me like I was their priority and not a burden . I would recommend Romano Subaru for all your needs.
I bought my Jeep there. We had Chrsitina as our Sales woman. She was great. Helpful and kind. Went out of her way several times to ensure a positive and enjoyable experience. This is the third vehicle we have bought there. I highly recommend Christina as she will make the whole process easier and less like a chore.
I was at Fox Toyota today for a simple oil change and asked the person in service of they would help me set up ny GPS. Two women came to my aid and both went out of their way to be of service. Unfortunately they were stumped but said they would go the extra mile, do some research and call ne tomorrow. I cant thank them enough for this exceptional service. I did not have a good experience at Fox Toyota! I am very disappointed in the lack of communication and how rude some of the people are there! It took almost a month before I had even got my car back! I had to keep calling them to figure out what was going on - otherwise I would not hear back from them. The one day my fiance called to see if the car was done being worked on and we were told it was done and to come pick it up. My fiance took time away from his workplace to go there and pick the car up, only to find out that the car was in fact not done at all! I finally had enough and called the service center desk and inquired about a corporate phone number to contact.. I was told to google it! Absolutely, unprofessional! Then, when I did finally get my car back my brand new floor mat on the drivers side was all black, there was grease markings around the press start button, & all over my drivers side door! I gave the car to them completely clean and spottless and that it most definitely how it should have been returned!! AVOID GOING HERE!!
Staff was great! Although the Rav4 I just purchased used, 3 years old from a Lease has an issue with the plastic stripping under the roof rack that keeps coming out. Many times I have to stop and put it back in and they cant fix it so I was told. Not very happy about that, it makes no sense and feel like if I have to take it to another garage that can, are they just screwing me out of my bumper to bumper warranty claim? Checking up on this because I know there has to be a fix or you can have it back! My 90 days arent up yet.
So we took our 2019 HIGHLANDER in for oil change and rotation… Kim was great no issues prompt and good communication… we picked up car noted oil puddle under and wasn’t sure if from our car or prior car parked there. That night large puddle underneath car. We called Kim was great said bring right down if ok to drive and we went back. Left car and called later and it was over tightening issue and something needed to be replaced. I told them we were to leave to go OOT and lucky we caught and postponed trip. I asked what is going to mitigate this issue and inconvenience and “Ryan” said we will take good care of you with next service … I said this car is at lease end and won’t be back and neither will I or my family if that Is the policy to not take and make right and apologize at time of issue … or the oil slick in the driveway I placed cardboard down to try to stop the mess upon noticing
Just purchased a new Subaru Crosstrek and was assisted by Chris Schneible. Chris and Fox Subaru have been my best experience in purchasing a vehicle ever. Better than 5 stars!!

I dropped the car off at 7:30am for two recall service, I was the first person in line. The person behind the counter took care of paperwork and asked me what time I needed the car back, I stated by 12:00 noon. I called at 11:30am asked how the car was coming along and was asked if I could hold, I said, Yes. Someone came back on the phone and told me my car has not been in the shop and that it would be done at around 3:00pm. I made the appointment for 7:30am.
Scott Micho is by far one of the best, most dedicated Toyota salesmen I’ve experienced. Very dedicated to helping the customer get their dream car and will not stop until a deal that’ll satisfy you is on the table. I’ll be recommending everyone I know to him and this dealership.
I just leased my new Highlander from here and the salespeople were phenomenal. They not only answered any question I had but also entertained my kids when there a a slight wait! Chris Dutton called me a couple days later just to check in on how everything was going and if I had any questions. Definitely recommend!!!
When my husband arrived he was told we shouldnt have made our appointment online, she was short and rude, they changed the oil and did a 45000 mile inspection never updated the oil inspection sticker on the car. Not the same service since Jane Foxx retired, I dont think I will be doing future business with this new company
I’ve been contacted 5 times to leave a review since the day I paid $140 for diagnostics, and zero times regarding the part that was ordered and supposed to be in by yesterday. I get there are supply issues, so maybe it’s taking longer than expected, but one of those five calls/emails/texts could have been word about where things are at regarding ordering the part.
I have gotten a car from them before. I will say I hated it. However, I took what I could get at the time. I went there on a day off just browsing. The team worked very hard to get me a car that I can feel safe and secure in, that is something I wanted, and gave me one hell of a deal for a trade in. I was so happy I cried. This is the first time Ive had a close to brand new vehicle. They went to bat for me. Thank you to those who helped make a dream come true!!!! 😊❤
We were interested in purchasing a Rav4 Prime, and they were difficult to get. We finally settled on Fox because some of the add-ons were much less expensive from them (trailer hitch) and Bill Pullen, the sales representative was very easy to deal with.He was always responsive to my questions, and gave us a full tour of all the new electronics when we got the care.Great experience. It was the first time we purchased a new vehicle in 9 years.
The Service Team at Fox Toyota did a great job to diagnose and repair the issues with my 2010 Prius to get it back in proper working order.Jennifer, the assistant manager, was courtious, informative and clearly explained the issues and estimated repair time and cost.Will definitely continue using Fox Toyota for service on both cars.

I had a perfect experience 6 years ago and that has been mirrored recently! These folks just care about people; they want to find the best solution and they work like hell to make it happen. The service was extremely slow when completing paperwork. I ended up waiting there for 4 hours. That said I got better answers to all my questions when I was still deciding what to get. At other dealerships while they knew things about the cars they didnt seem to know much on the little questions I asked but they all got answered well here.
They could have told us 10 min. sooner the car was ready. I had been told someone would walk over and find us and inform us. We had to figure it out ourselves. One minor point; the salesman had promised to wash our car every time it was brought in. So far its never happened!
⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️After a HORRIBLE experience at a “mom and pop” mechanic shop, I called Fox Toyota in a panic to have them check the questionable brake work that was done and to confirm that my car was safe to drive. I spoke with Jennifer in the Service department, and she was able to schedule me an appointment within a day. She was kind, caring, down to earth, and assured me that Fox would do everything in their power to make sure my car was safe.Jennifer- you are a perfect example of not only an exceptional customer service provider, but also a kind and caring person. You represent the high standards of your dealership and Toyota as a whole. Thank you for such a seamless experience- I will never take my car anywhere but Fox from now on!
Went in for 6 month maintenance June 6th. My car stated “maintenance required” since April. Was told only needed tires rotated. Also had one recall from last year to be fixed. June 9th, my low fuel light came on. I stopped at gas station to fill tank. After filling tank, the fuel gauge only read just over half- full. I notified service department that the fuel gauge was not working. Still waiting to hear back.

Was not thrilled. I am used to going into a toyoda dealership in the service area and having someone from service come out to greet me and take my mileage down and whatever else they needed and show me where the area is to wait.it After 10 minutes or so I decided this wasnt going to happen. Probably my own fault But anyway next time I will use a dealership closer to home
I could point to any number of reasons, but to just name one - the service tech on the job (which was scheduled to deal with a Subaru recall notice issue involving the ignition coil) addressed a second recall issue at the same time, for which I actually did not receive factory notice in the mail until I got home that evening. As I read the latest notice, I compared the recall number to the receipt from the days visit, and, sure enough, there were the line items covering that recall issue (involving the brake hoses) as well.I was both relieved and *very* grateful that he took the initiative to do the additional work, saving me from having to make a separate follow-up appointment.Its that kind of caring and attention to detail that is in evidence across the entire staff, and I have been extremely impressed and satisfied with every interaction Ive had with your dealership since I purchased my Impreza.
A very long 5 hour wait for touch ups that should have been done when I first bought vehicle. Kind of them to offer free of charge 5 years later but the touchups and interior detailing should have been done in first place. I couldnt wait another hour for the interior cleaning. One hour there and one back. Colleen was kind to offer free cleaning at a later date but wouldnt have gone there in first place if they cleaned and detailed vehicle when I first bought it.
Chris Schneible was the most amazing person to deal with. He listened, selected vehicles that fit my budget and my style, was friendly, upbeat and fast. I live in Brewerton, but will drive to see Chris in Auburn each time I need a new vehicle. So worth the short trip!
Never a better time to buy a Toyota especially when Paul Kelly is the Sales Representative. He gave me space to let me make my decision on value never did I feel rushed or pressured, This is my first time with Toyota and I fully recommend you take a moment and look at all the offers available. I feel that I received a great deal for a great product with professional service!
We stopped at this dealership because I was interested in a RAV4 or maybe a Subaru. It was convenient that they have both. We were bombarded immediately upon arrival, we had not even gotten out of our car yet and the salesman approached us. Once inside he started talking so fast and barely took a breath. He sat us down and did his whole sales pitch barely letting us get a word in. He was not interested in what we wanted, he talked at us and we wanted to run away. We finally got him outside to see a RAV4 it took another 20 minutes to get him to stop talking so we could test drive it. It was a nice vehicle but i wasnt sure. Upon returning back from our test drive, he began immediately pushing the hybrid model on us. We felt very forced and annoyed. I didnt even stick around to see the Subarus. When we wanted to leave he made us go inside so he could prove to the sales manager that it wasnt his fault that we didnt purchase but in reality, it totally was! I will never step foot in this dealership again!
Previously we were very happy with our service at Fox, but were concerned about communication issues in our latest experience. We were looking to purchase a set of tires, and since it was after hours, I left a message with the online service. Having not heard back two days later, I called and was transferred to voicemail, where I left a message. Having never heard back from that, I wrote a letter to the general manager. Two months later, and weve still never heard back from Fox.
Defiantly one of the best experiences I have had buying a car! Kyle and Mike worked very hard to meet all my needs and find the perfect vehicle within my price point. I didnt feel hassled, or pressured into buying and felt great after I left! Thanks for the great transaction and Im looking forward to being a long time customer!
Just traded in a Prius Ive had for 14 years on a new Prius Special Addition. I found the staff at Fox to be friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. I had offers from other dealerships and FOX was able to offer the best price! No high pressure Sales Pitch. This is my second time leasing from Fox-Toyota and truthfully I had no reason to go elsewhere after my first experience, however, as we do, I shopped around before returning to Fox this time. The experiences I had elsewhere were disappointing for a number of reasons. When I called Toyota, they welcomed me back in open arms, treated me with the most respect and I never felt like I was being pressured or manipulated into buying/leasing something. They made sure to answer all my questions, no matter how small or silly. Gabe was excellent in that she heard what I was asking for, was a straight shooter and graciously helped me receive the car I was wishing for. I cannot recommend enough coming here, the benefits are just too large not too. As a young female with little knowledge of cars and the buying process, I can say that this process was expected to be a daunting one. Truthfully it could have not been a smoother process from start to finish. I won’t go anywhere else! Thanks again Fox!

(this is my honest feedback, not solicited!)Matt was great the 1st day - drove the car, wife and i discussed, made offer, he conferred with mgr and done! No typical car sales gamesmanship and delays. Fair price along with fixing brakes. Later found passenger mirror and fuel tank gauge malfunctioning, making car unsafe. Fox ended up doing the right thing, put the customer and safety and integrity first...they fixed those issues and I absolutely love my car. Integrity and values mean nothing until they cost you something. Fox showed their true spirit and values when they couldve fought and held their ground on the mirror and fuel gauge but instead they chose to take the high road! You need a car dealer you can trust. Someone thats got your back and truly cares about your safety. The drive from Rochester out to Auburn was totally worth it! Very few dealers wouldve stood by their car and their reputation the way Fox did.
The Fox web site was very informative and it was there that we discovered the 2011 Camry we ended up buying at a price we were comfortable with. Our salesman, Jeff, was knowledgeable about the car and answered all of our questions. He was very friendly, humorous and a great conversationalist. We enjoyed the buying experience he provided.It was busy the day we went and the process lasted longer than we anticipated although I couldnt say how it could have been made shorter. The showroom was clean and bright but also very noisy. However we have purchased cars at other dealerships and those showrooms were equally noisy.If you are planning to buy a used car spend considerable time at the Fox websites for they are crammed with useful information and pictures.
Bought a car a few months ago now and am very happy with my purchase. My sales man Glen Fletcher was very knowledgeable and helpful. Not pushy at all . I told him my price range and what I was looking for in a car and he really hooked me up. He did not waste my time on something I neither wanted or could afford. I ended up with a real nice one owner Toyota Avalon and could not be happier. The store was nice clean and very professional but in the end it was Glenn that really impressed me and led to me buying from Fox.
Salesperson was very nice(Gabe),until I mentioned I was also going to look at another dealer. Got pretty snarky after that. I only bought from them because I really liked the truck.paperwork was wrong when I went to pick up the truck.tried to include a warranty that cost $2000.00.instead of putting a license plate mount for the front they screwed it to the bumper. Almost walked away.
Im just now wrapping up my purchase of my new Toyota, and Id just like to say how happy I am with the service Ive received. Yesterday I came in and spoke with Gabe, who very graciously took the car I wanted off the sales floor so I could test drive it - fell in love immediately. We quickly processed all the loan details, and I promised to come back the next day in the evening to pick up the car. That plan changed and I came in about 6 hours early. Gabe took everything in stride and made all the magic happen to get my car to me right away. She even picked me up from the rental place where I had to drop off my rental car and brought me back to the dealership! I cannot express how grateful I am to Gabe and the rest of the team for working with me and all my quirks.
Good place to by a car and have it serviced. I have been dealing with Jamie Parker in the sales department there since 2005 and have always been treated well. He has always been very helpful and the process has always gone smoothly. I just picked up a new Toyota Camry last night and everything went very well.The service at Fox Toyota is courteous, timely and efficient. I always get an appointment that is convenient and they take my car at the appointed time to work on it. They do good work and I dont have to wait long for it to be completed.
Notified them I was going to drive over two hours to test drive a specific van and it wasnt available to drive. They allowed me to drive it around the lot. We negotiated a lower price and held the van. We came back a few days later and test drove it and bought it. We requested an entertainment remote to be included the sale and they said they dont do that. Researched it after the sale and will need to spend $250 on a remote to make our entertainment system work. After driving it I realized the alignment is off, so I have to get that fixed.
Frankly I would give 0 stars if possible. I have purchased at least one vehicle from this store and minimally a handful from the Honda store over the past 10 years and this experience was the worst Ive ever had anywhere! I went to the Toyota-Subaru store 2/17/18 to look at a used Mitsubishi Evolution they had. I drove the car a limited distance as the gas light came on immediately. Upon returning to the store I expressed I did want the car and spent the next several hours working the deal and awaiting the car for a spot delivery. After sitting there for around 3.5 hours expecting to be driving the car home the F&I manager came out and said that they couldnt deliver the car that day. The aftermarket seats that were in the car apparently didnt have the required side airbags. Mind you.. The photos online showcased the car as it was, aftermarket seats and all. Secondly I has just road tested and worked the deal based on the car the way it was. I left my $500 deposit as I was sure this would be resolved. I went home and anxiously awaited a solution from my sales person Zach on Monday. He advised that the car couldnt be sold as it was and they had to source replacement seats. Over the next 13 days I constantly had to reach out for updates regarding the progress. And frankly nearly backed out multiple times due to frustration. Finally on the 14th day the car was to be delivered to me at my workplace as the car had to go to the Mitsubishi dealer to have the airbag light reset. In the middle of signing all the paperwork my salesperson gets a phone call and excuses himself. He comes back a moment later looking like hed seen a ghost. He stated I dont really have another way to put this... I cant sell you this car. Were going to have to auction it. Honestly based on the way things had been going I wasnt surprised! He abruptly left and stated hed be in touch to refund my deposit.... Not once over the 2 weeks did a manager attempt to reach out to me with apologies or updates.. they instead just relayed messages through my salesman. I felt horrible for this guy and cannot believe they bestowed all this responsibility on Zach when it clearly should have been escalated!! I am a manager at a luxury car dealer and have been in the business for nearly 15 years, I am shocked at the level of incompetence and professionalism from the dealership and their management personnel!! I have turned from a loyal dealer advocate to a bitter detractor and its a shame.
The staff at Fox Toyota is very friendly and polite. They always do an excellent job with my car. If they find anything additional that needs to be done, they call me and let me know so I can decide whether or not to have the work done. I have complete confidence and trust in the staff at Fox Toyota and its the only place I take my car.
I bought a new Camry this past week. My salesperson was Bill Pullen. He was great. I’ve had not so great experiences in the past so I was a bit anxious. Bill & the rest of the staff made the experience enjoyable & made sure I was comfortable along the way. Thank you to all involved. Definitely recommend Fox & Bill.
Jim Soules was my sale associate and he took care of me well. He made sure that all items on the used Toyota 4runner were repaired, and it was thoroughly cleaned. He also sent me off with a full tank of gas. The test drive was fun and informative. He did not pressure me when I walked away from the deal, and was quick to move forward when I accepted on a later day. Im excited for my purchase and will return there for tune-ups as needed.

Outstanding! I saw a SUV online that met my needs & price. The sales manager answered my questions and went out of his way to ensure I had enough information to make the trip worthwhile, hopped on a bus from Cincinnati OH to Auburn NY, was picked up at bus station by a salesman the moment I arrived. The vehicle met or even slightly exceeded my expectations, signed the paperwork, and drove it 500 miles back home. I waited 2 months to post this and can tell you the vehicle is definitely as described.
Had a rotten experience a few weeks ago. They went above and beyond, in a decent way, to get us to return. We did. We ended up purchasing a nice, newer, Subaru. Unfortunately, their follow up in service and management is horrible. During the test drive, I pointed out the radio antenna wasnt on. I was assured it would be taken care of. It wasnt. I had an appointment I had to reschedule. In that time, I found out why it wasnt on and why it cant be simply screwed on. I relayed this back to them and was told someone would call me once the part came in. Been three weeks, no call. I reach out to my sales guy. I left a msg for the service manager.... Nothing!!!!Lets move on....The Subaru was advertised to be equipped with a back up assistance camera and satellite radio, among other features such as blue tooth, mp3, etc. Well, no back up camera at all and it has a satellite option meaning Id have to pay for and install the required receiver. I pointed this out to my sales guy two weeks ago, who assured me he would have a manager look into it.... Nothing!!!!Happy with the car, mostly. Not happy with them. Theres been zero effort from Fox to contact me about my concerns, other than the sales guy.
Had a pleasant experience purchasing a used Tacoma from Fox. The price was unusually good and the accommodation was even better. I am very pleased with the vehicle. Several of my requests were attended to promptly. It was better than expected. I highly recommend Fox and Jim Hartman in particular for an outstanding job
Dave and Glenn went over and above to get me a suitable deal for my new car. They were constantly with me throughout the process and checked in again after I got the car to make sure I was satisfied. I have leased at least 8 Toyota products from FOX & Paul and all experiences were very good including delivering the new vehicle to my offices in Rochester.I have never been to the Fox Toyota store but all my experiences with them have been great.
I was trolling for a Tacoma two weeks ago, not sure if I could purchase. Met with Dan who took me on a test drive. The deal I was offered was not to my liking so I left the dealership resigned to wait to purchase. Several days later, while I was away on vacation, Dan called to tell me there was a new incentive and he could get me that Tacoma at the price I wanted with very affordable monthly payments and asked if I would agree to buy. I asked about the new deal and he had no real information but assured me I was all ready to take this truck home on Monday when I returned from vacation. I went to the dealership Monday at 6 which was my appointment time, noticed the truck was not ready for me. I was offered another test drive because Dan was too busy at 6. I waited until 7 to talk with him. He began the dealing again as if it was the first time I was in the store. Then tells me that the price for the truck is not what we had agreed and asked for more cash down on the vehicle. He proceeded to show me some VERY used Tacomas and wanted to know if I was interested in those. This was a very bad experience for me. A phone call would have been really nice and saved me time, embarrassment, and irritation. I wanted to buy local but this was just a joke.
Bought our 4Runner from Zach about a year ago. We had never owned a Toyota product before and... WE COULDN’T BE HAPPIER!! I was a ford owner my whole life but a friend of the family had recommended the dealership to us. Unaware we were going to buy a car that day we had given “Zip” a general idea of what we were looking for in a vehicle and he brought us in the right direction. I have bought many cars throughout my life and have never met a salesperson like him, he was never aggressive and treated my wife and I like friends or family. Coming to an agreement was easy, we met Mike after our deal was set in motion and he provided the coverages we needed so we can drive worry free for the next decade. Zach having previously worked in detail cleaned the truck for us spotless and we took it home that day. I wish “Zip” a long and successful career in the business he is passionate about, his phone calls to check in every now and then shows he genuinely cares and I know if I ever had any questions he’d take the time to listen and help. 5 stars
Just traded my 2013 4Runner for a 2017 Limited. Staff at Fox Toyota/Subaru were extremely professional. I leased and at the time I signed I was thrilled with services and salesmen and was told all services would be covered as my oil changes always have been, however I lease and within less than a year need brakes and caliper pins replaced and they wouldn’t not cover and wanted to charge 150$! I tried getting this resolved with my salesman as well as services and nobody would help. Definitely will not be renewing my lease through auburn fox Toyota. This was 7 months ago now and I was later told I only needed grease which was much less inexpensive. I was told they recommend everyone (even those not in need) they recommend just replace all brakes and rotors etc. (because they just want more money!) I went there today because I got in an accident with a deer. Since my insurance won’t cover a loaner car, they will not help me out in any way to get a free loaner while I wait for them to repair it. I will not be waiting for them to repair it or EVER LEASING OR BUYING from Fox again. What a terrible experience. I’ll be switching to summit when my lease is up, see ya fox 😊
HORRIBLE experience at fox service center, seems they only care about when you buy a new car and nothing else. Take your hard earned money elsewhere I would never recommend them to anyone take the drive to another dealer. You know when you read a bad review and you think I will try them anyway, don’t you will be just disappointed in the truth....
I have never in all of my life dealt with such incompetence and negligence. We bought a 2018 forester 3 weeks ago and rolled the balance on our lease with Nissan over into the payment. Paid $500 cash down, left our Nissan, signed the paper work and drove off. A week later our sales rep Lisa called us stating she had us sign a wrong form I error. We needed to sign a different form. She sent it to us and at the bottom of this form it stated that if they got the pay off number we agreed on wrong we accept full responsibility if there is any difference or balance. This is garbage. Absolutley not! So after going back and forth with that we thought we were all set. Then another week goes by and Nissan calls us threatening as Fox dropped the car off with no pay off check, and no communication as if we just surrendered the vehicle. My husband called Fox and they stated at first we never gave them a car for equity. After my husband had to go back and forth with that they stated that was an error and they had sent out a check to Nissan and provided a tracking number. Now we are on week 3 and Nissan just pulled a payment on a car we have not owned in 3 weeks because of lack of communication from Fox. Now here I am with a negative account , with no money to buy my children groceries , hit with additional fees from my bank, time lost at work trying to fix this and a complete lack of return correspondence or care from Fox. Never ever buy from here .
Ed was an absolute pleasure to work with! He was extremely knowledgeable, courteous and answered all of our questions whenever we had them. We ultimately settled on a Highlander and couldnt be happier. He even went above and beyond and sat with us for a half an hour after the purchase to explain the intricacies of the system. If you have the opportunity, work with him! You will not be disappointed! 😉

This is my fourth highlander and since they didnt have any hybrids when I wanted a new 2022 highlander hybrid, they found one for me at another dealer in Rochester NY! Now that is really caring about the customer! The best in my book!

2022-02-15We went there to test drive for a Honda Accord. Scott worked with us but we did not like the car. He showed us three other cars and explained everything about the cars. We ended up to buy one of them. Scott is a nice guy and can help you to find your car. The people in the dealer are nice too. I recommend it.

We ordered my new Tundra TRD and it came exactly like I ordered. This brand new 2022 Toyota Tundra TRD is the best truck Ive ever owned.

2022-03-02The woman at the check-in desk was very rude and argumentative. She insisted I had already had my car in for the 10K mile check when my visit yesterday I was only at 9966 miles. What she should have told me is 10k or one year, whichever came first. Instead she insisted she was right with what she was saying and not explaining fully. She never apologized for being rude or that her explanation of my visit yesterday was in error. She only seemed as though she needed to be correct regardless. But her insistent arguing left me to not want to come back to the dealership for any future service. It was not a very nice experience.The service manager (?) who helped me with the Maps app on the car was extremely helpful and took the time to answer all of my questions. He took time out of his schedule to make sure I was satisfied with his assistance.

2022-02-17Broken alternator, fuse and relay, took a while for them to fix it, but is to be expected with the market for parts the way it is.Had some exterior damage while it was in their care and they took care of it no questions asked.The service manager was always very polite and professional.They due lack a good inventory of loaner vehicles for the little over 5 weeks it was there.Was a little disappointed they left the vehicle with practically zero gas (given, it was probably left to them with lower fuel levels) but still. Luckily there are gas stations within a couple hundred yards or I would’ve been stranded.
