There fish fries where big. We ended up getting the fishermans platter the fish was smaller but it came with deep fried scallops, deep fried shrimp, mac and cheese, and coleslaw. Was pretty stuffed and it was good the service was fast.

We had our class reunion there on August 17, 2021. They even had our school colors for placemats and napkins!! Excellent, friendly, efficient and warm service by Joanne. Excellent food came out to us promptly and with huge smiles!! Classmates were very pleased with this location and the room accomodations!!

We like it here for fish fry Fridays. Lots of free parking, you can eat inside or out and very friendly staff. The food portions are huge and the food is always served fresh and hot. They have quick draw you can play from your table and the service is good.

Oh my gosh, my husband and a few friends/neighbors of ours went to Frans today for an early dinner. Everything was so delicious and we didnt come out of there hungry. We will definitely keep coming back! The service is excellent as well, very friendly and kind staff!!!

Great little place to grab a meal. Their burgers and steaks are cooked to order and are priced competitively. They leave a bowl of popcorn at the table for you. To enjoy while waiting for your meal. The portion sizes are just right for the average person.They fill up quickly so be sure to get there early.The location is on the side of a hill that has a reality busy road below, so care must be taken pulling in and out of the restaurants driveway.
This is the place to enjoy your meals! Husbands steak was done medium to perfection, nice seasoned crispy top and tender inside!! The super great waitress Sue allowed us to taste they delicious meatballs by allowing us to taste one...Free popcorn for everyones table as they come in and this was a Thursday and they got packed!!

Best comfort food in the area. Ive had yet to have a bad meal at Frans. Weekly spot 3-5 times a week for lunch. Meatloaf special, marinated chicken sandwich, and burgers are always good. Good price for portions.
We enjoy going to Frans landing always good food we absolutely love the fish fry on Friday nights. Thursday nights pasta is pretty great also. And the chicken a biscuits taste like home made. The bonless wings are huge and delicious. We try to make it there at least once a week. The atmosphere is very laid back and relaxing. And the service is great.
Reliably good food and enough variety for most. Id say their burgers are their crowning gem. Their tugboat burgers are not to be underestimated. If you order one then youll most likely be done eating for the remainder of the day. Friendly staff and they offer bowls of popcorn while you wait for your meal. The interior is covered in vintage signs and antiquated memorabilia from when it was established.
Celebrated my birthday dinner tonight with my parents and children. Andrea our server was exceptional. Kevin took the time to come over and check in with us, and that meant a lot. Food was so amazing from start to end with the salads, steaks, sides and desserts. We ate too much and still had lots of leftovers to take home. Highly recommend!
Stopped in for Friday fish fry. It was pretty good. Opted for the double Mac and cheese which was homemade and that was also delicious. Over all great experience. Ill eat her again.

I love this restaurant! Their prime rib special on Saturday is amazing. Just wish they had mashed potatoes available on that day to go with it. Their bar is small, but cozy and has an excellent selection.

Basic burgers and beer type of restaurant but the food is well done for what it is. Be careful entering and exiting the parking lot. The lot is up a steep hill with deep ditches on the side and many people have gone into the ditch.

Fish fry w/mac and cheese was good. Very popular place, got there early and still had to wait a half hour but they didnt run out of fish. They start serving at 11:00am.

I was a.litltle disappointed with the service, although our server was a sweetheart, she left my iced tea at the beverage bar so I had to get up and get it myself and when I ordered the taco salad, she asked if I wanted black olives on it. I told her that I didnt but got them anyway And my salad didnt have ANY cheese on it. No major issues, but maybe you should consider giving her less tables to wait.
Great surroundings, great food, great service, huge portions, coldest draft beer in the county. The only downfall is its a touch pricy. But please dont let this review stop you from stopping. You wont be upset.
The Captains Feast had a lot of fish. Unfortunately, it was frozen fish. So no matter how good you are at cooking it, frozen fish just doesnt hold a candle to fresh. The cocktail sauce had obviously been in the freezer earlier today because the top had liquid on it while the sauce was the consistency of jelly. The wait staff was fantastic otherwise this would be a 2 star rating.
The fish fry on Friday is amazing, large portions and excellent flavor, the wait can be long so get here early! Nothing beats Wednesday nights chicken and biscuits, better than grandma made.

We ended up there on the night before opening day of deer season, it was totally packed!!!!! It was my Sister in Laws 55 birthday and there was 10 of us, it was wall to wall people. Kevin put us in the building out back and we had our own waitress. What a special night!!! We could not have made plans to have it be more special, Kevin will always be in our debt. We have our monthly meeting at Frans and the food is always wonderful. We have the building in back all to ourselves for our meeting which always runs over into lunch and the wonderful waitress handles without a problem.

2022-05-08Always busy. The staff is welcoming like going back home after years of being gone. The public hopes there to share storys about there week. Great great food. Local place but will welcome anyone in to there conversation. From prime rib for adults to chicken tenders for the kids. Dress as you are after a long days work or go for a special meal.

Its a great value for everything you get and the food was amazing. The customer service was very exceptional !!! We will be going there again soon

2022-05-287 people dined.3 fish frys, 3 baked - including me.Meal was fairly decent. But the fried seafood was all frozen stuff. The 3 fish frys were 1/4 thick pieces of fish at best. One diner had a seafood platter and left all his shrimp because they were all frozen bits & exaggerated amounts of breading.Everyone agreed on the above.Baked fish, slaw, Mac & cheese, & fries were all fairly decent.But nobody felt they would return. 🤷
