I dont normally do reviews but I feel I need to in this case. We had a choice to go to a place where we knew we would have loved what we ate but we got lazy and decided to stay. The music was good so were the drinks but then came the food. We ordered pizza. It had more cheese than we could tolerate. The toppings we asked for disappeared in the bad cheese. We asked the waitress to take it back. We ordered the filet mignon sliders. The food was bad and overpriced. Cheap ingredients. Have drinks listen to music.
The food was good; I had the short ribs, my wife had the salmon, and we shared the nacho plate. We sat outside on the deck. Our waiter was very friendly, but the hostess was fairly rude as we waited for our table. In general the restaurant is very understaffed post-COVID and unable to handle large parties. Expect long wait times.
Famished and parched from a host of outdoor activities under the hot August sun, our caravan of 7 seasoned souls stumbled upon Fredick’s front porch. Upon our first order we settled on seven savory macro-brewed beers widely available elsewhere. They were cold, thumbs there. The menu consisted of an Italian-American spread with Mexican fare strategically settled somewhat south of the sirloin sliders. The service the was fantastic, the food was fine. The Buffalo Mac and Cheese was fire.
Pretty and cozy place for a nice meal :) Me and my friends would always go on Thrusdays because its half price in food and drinks! The servers were friendly and the barman also, really nice person to talk to. Never had the chance to go on friday which is karaoke night but I bet its fun (:Order the Sunrise for drinks, it was my favourite :D
As with most places right now, it seemed short staffed. Waiter was very polite but very slow. Food was slightly above average in quanity and quality. Our table ordered sandwiches (reuben, burgers, paninis) and all were pretty good. Not sure we will add fries for 4.25 next time but overall prices were fair. Not in a hurry to go back but would give it another shot.
Where to begin. Served water in a Mason jar not my cup of tea but oh well, no ice in cup and straws already had the paper covering pulled off, unsure if they ever had any on. Server handed us our straws Covid problem right there. Ordered pizza it was ok, very soft in the middle and cheese fell off when you picked up a slice. Dropped a straw on the floor and asked for another one, server got me another straw again no paper covering on and placed it my water herself, yet another Covid isuue. Ordered mozzarella sticks in which they only give you 5. Cmon 5 mozzarella sticks for the price there should of been 8 and to share 5 within a party of 4. Plates to eat the pizza on were salad plates and all the cutlery were odd. Knives and forks did not match which wasnt an issue but its small things like that just turn you off. Server came to the table once during out meal, almost dropped my credit card through the floor because outside seating is a large old deck and has seen much better days. I did see some old food and a fork between the large gaps between the boards. Probably will not ever be going back. You should not be screwing up the basics of food, service and experience yet this resturants does.
Great place to eat with kind and attentive staff. After my family complimented the waiter on the food she said that they had actually gotten very poor reviews recently. This makes no sense to me because we had a great time and were unanimously impressed with all of the food we got. Don’t let other reviews skew your opinion.
Spacious outdoor seating, lovely atmosphere, and friendly staff. We were there on a Saturday night, and even with all the crowds, we didnt feel squeezed into a tiny table with no room to move (often a feature of outdoor tables). Likewise, even with all the customers, the wait staff is prompt and attentive, and we had a wonderful relaxing time. Ive taken a star away only because, for my personal taste, the food was pretty meh. But maybe we just didnt choose anything they specialized in. The appetizers seemed good, and the prices were quite reasonable. Would recommend it if youre in the area.
Fredericks has both great service and great food. We came at prime dinner time and even though there was a line no one appeared to be waiting long regardless of party size. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and very willing to help, and the food was excellent. The steamers were some of the best ever! We did not feel rushed at all. This is a restaurant we will easily return to when we are in the area again.
We had them cater our family reunion while staying at the Y. Everyone loved the food. Standouts were the salmon and chicken. Connie even made an off-menu vegan option for a couple of people and it was delicious. The staff was friendly, helpful and on time. I would recommended them for any catered needs.
The service was absolutely horrible. Waitress / bartender was more focused on hanging out in the back and eating food with the hostess then waiting on us. We were her only table as there were only maybe 6 other people in the restaurant and somehow only managed to get us all one refill in the almost 2 hours we spent there. Food was average but the portions are below average. $7.89 for 5 mozzarella sticks? Come on. Buffalo chicken wrap was extremely small and had little meat in it. All in all will not be returning to this restaurant.
Me, My husband, and 19 month old daughter came up for Americade weekend and thought we would try it here for dinner having a boat in lake George we had never eaten here. Was sat in the dining room inside. There was only one server in the dining room and had 8 tables at one time while we were there. As a restaurant in a tourist area, I feel there should have been more than one server. I’m not sure if they were short staffed (again, being in a tourist town on one of the busiest weekends they should be a little more prepared for this) or if the server thought she could handle it alone and wanted to make more money by taking as many tables as possible. The server probably would have made more money if she focused on the quality of service over quantity of tables she could take. Our food took way too long and with having a toddler I feel restaurants should be a little more attentive to this. Every time we tried to get her attention she would rush right by our table. Never checking on us or the food at all. Where was her help? The owner or manager to check on their dining room?We had to wave her down to ask for our check. Not a good experience. I’m so over going out to eat in a tourist town regardless of if it’s seasonal or not the experience should be a good one.
Waited over an hour for a party of 3. Everyone that came in after us got sat before us. When I asked the hostess if they forgot us, she got nasty and said were busy. I showed her my name on the list and how all the people after me got sat and she rolled her eyes. Food was average.
Food was adequate at best. But do NOT order the pizza. If you had a taste test against 9 frozen pizzas you find in your grocers freezer, this pizza would finish dead last. And not barely. By a mile. Dont believe me, try for yourself. Youll be sorry. Also I had one glass of water for the entire meal. Could not get a refill. F-
Went downhill. I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt because of COVID, but our food wasnt the best quality, and our waitress wasnt around, and we got stuck with a table for 2, but there were three of us. There were two suitable tables that they didnt lead us to, and we assumed that they were keeping them empty because of social distancing, but they filled them up after we sat down.
Fantastic food and very reasonable prices. Shout out to Maria for her amazing service. A family member is currently going through some health complications and with the great help of Maria, the executive chef was able to prepare a special meal for us to accommodate our limited selection. Will definitely be back when we are in town next year!
I guess i was expecting more. The service was painfully slow to start with. We arrived and were seated waited 20 mins before we saw our server. We ordered our food which came out quck enough but the soup was cold. The server never came back to check. Twice we had to ask the hostess to get our waitress. Both times she was in the bar chatting with another waitress. The food tasted like frozen food reheated. Do not waste your time or money.
Save your money & Do Not eat here! The staff is beyond rude! Ive never had an experience like this in any other restaurant. The hostess was arguementative from the beginning and didnt want to change our table. Then she must have spoken to our waitress and like a petulant child our waitress decided to ignore us. Except for the few times she wandered by to slam a pitcher of water onto our table (she never poured it into the glass), slammed a 1/2 a loaf of bread (for 7 people thats all you get) & then slammed a few plates onto the table before the food arrived (right in front of a child). I asked to speak with the manager but was told none existed by the hostess. Im pretty sure she was lying. I told her both my mom and I are disabled and didnt need all this negativity. She and the waitress clearly were annoyed and were belligerent. They were verbally attacking us. 1hour and 15 minutes later we still didnt have food. We no longer could take the abuse and had to leave. Save your money, dignity and sanity! If you have any type of disability Stay Far Away! They are not accommodating and do not follow the ADA rules. There are many other nicer options in Bolton Landing.
If I could rate this zero stars, I would without a doubt. Horrible, just horrible. We started off with them telling us that we couldnt have a table because they save it for large parties because it was school break. The place was dead; we had six people at our table. Ridiculous. After a long debate, they eventually let us have a table. The waitress slammed cups and plates down onto our table, right next to a child. We were mortified! We asked the hostess for the manager, but she replied with The manager isnt here today. For Christs sake! Its school break! Finally, after about an hour of waiting for our food, the food didnt come, but the people behind us that arrived a half an hour later got their food served before us- same waitress. Oh, and dont order the clam chowder.
Nice restaurant in Boltons Landing, on the shore of Lake George. Tasty food served by a friendly staff. We visited on a beautiful October Saturday when the restaurant was suddenly flooded with guests, but our waitress, while clearly stressed and hurried, remained friendly.
I do like spending time at Fredericks and I really want to give it another star, but service tends to be a bit slow. The do great live music on the weekend and Friday night karaoke, which is fun if youre into that. Food is pretty good. In the summer months ask for a table on the outdoor covered patio!
Good service but the food isnt. We got the nachos and they were literally prepackaged stuff you make yourself at the grocery store. Like tostitos round chips, tostitos salsa, meat spiced with grocery store mix, then douced with mexican mix shredded cheese followed up with diced rawOnions and red/green peppers.Bought the turkey “broiled” club and it just wasnt good. Turkey was soggy and had that ‘about to expire’ flavor. I usually get asked to leave buffets and this club was so bad I ate half (almost gave up after 1/4 sandwich) and called it quits. Wont come here again.Wait staff was very good but the kitchen needs a new cook.
Went with a group of friends from work. At first they tried to tell us they couldnt split the bill and just handed our whole table a single bill. After pleading the waiter split the bill but charged me for an extra drink I did not have. Being with coworkers, I didnt want to make a scene, so I paid it, but had to use two separate cards to pay. I explained to the waiter my situation and he took both cards and maxed them out, overcharging me $20 ON TOP of the extra drink I did not have. This place just assumes all its customers are drunk and rich and tries to take advantage of them.
This restaurant that operates on handshake agreements did an amazing job catering our wedding. When we met with Connie for the first time we knew she would be perfect for our wedding. Connie was very helpful with menu ideas and options during the early planning stages. Her confidence and calm demeanor allowed us not to worry a single minute about the food on our big day. They let us customize our wedding menu and hors doeuvres to make a non-traditional personalized wedding menu full of our favorite foods. Not only was the food amazing, the dessert buffet they provided was the talk of the party. The service provided was phenomenal! Once we arrived to the reception we were greeted by the staff with a plate of the hors doeurves and they also ensured that we went up to the buffet first! They also did the cake cutting and serving which was included in the price. The cost was very affordable especially since we were on a very tight wedding budget. The bartender we hired through Fredericks Restaurant did an excellent job and ensured that no one left the wedding thirsty. The cleanup from the Fredericks staff went so well that you couldnt even tell there was any food served during the event. They packaged all the leftovers for us and placed them in the refrigerators for us to enjoy later that night. The staff and service provided exceeded our expectations! We would highly recommend Fredericks Restaurant- whether your just grabbing a quick bite in town or for your next event!!!
Inaccurate ratings here. Just look at the reviews on Yelp! Was recommended by locals. Two friends ordered the Tuna and could not eat. This grey block of “Tuna” was completely inedible. And on top of this, a green paste was smacked ontop.Wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemies.
Terrible food. Steak was over cooked. We sent it back and the waitress came back and insisted it was okay in the middle. Too bad I didnt get charged for just the middle. Slow and inattentive service on top of that made for a horrible experience. Plenty of other places to eat in the area-dont waste your time and money at Fredericks.
0 stars...Racist owner & staff...were hispanics and it was two of us....my date is a honey brown complexion, im tanned light skinned not pale cracker white. They sat us down and we watched for 20mins how they sat other ppl & offer them drinks and take their order...meanwhile we have yet to be seen or even be offered tab water...so we make our way to the exit and tell the hostess why we leaving and this SNOB rolls her eyes and gives us the shoulders and under her breath said sorry bout that, all this while the owner follows us and from a window proceeds to lock his BS vehicle because the Hispanic couple is in the parking lot. Hope this place burns down w/owner&anyone who support him inside...oh yeah this was Friday 2/22/19.

2022-06-18The hostess clearly had an issue with our party. When we approached her she condescendingly asked if everyone was here and to count how many people are with us before she starts setting up the tables. As a manager myself, I would not tolerate ANY of employees speaking to a paying customer in that manner. It is not that difficult to accommodate any group that appears to your restaurant and if I miscount, it should not be an inconvenience to add an extra chair. After all, the restaurant was only occupied by 2 other small parties. The waiter, Joshua was visibly flustered attempting to take our orders. He verbally expressed his frustration when we asked for separate bills for the party. He said, “I’ll do my best with all 20 of you guys.” Ultimately, it doesn’t matter how big the party is, it is your job and due diligence to accommodate your customer. One of our items was brought to us incorrectly and Joshua immediately shrugged his shoulders and swung his hand around. In other words, he was annoyed, and once again expressed he was flustered. In a business where you rely on customer service, you shouldn’t pick and choose who to accommodate. Terrible, uncomfortable, and disgusting experience from start to finish. Do better.

2022-06-18The fat hostess was so rude to myself and my family during our time here. Her tone was condescending when I was unsure of how many people were in our large party. She reiterated that large party wasn’t enough and demanded an answer before they change the tables. On top of that the food is absolutely gross — do not order the nachos or wings. If you want only pico and like three movie theater chips then go ahead. The waiter looked unhygienic and complained about splitting the bill. He blamed our party for being too large and it may be incorrect if we split the bill. I’ve never been somewhere where everyone is rude and blatantly hate their jobs.

2022-06-14We rushed over to make it for dinner before it was supposed to close at 9pn we (party of 3) arrived ten mins before. Bartender told us the kitchen staff called it early. Then another party arrived too... also told kitchens closed they decided to grab a drink at the bar... then a reg at the bar customer offered $100 for tots...they got their tots while we were drinking and didnt even offer to make us tots. Seems pretty rude and inconsiderate to serve one customer but not others. To tell us the kitchens closed but they could make an exception for one customer and offer us nothing.... we are also regulars here on the weekends.... but didnt know this Bartender... too bad its one our fav bars and always have our larger group of friends meet us here when we do weekend events . Looks like we will be meetin elsewhere

2020-09-13We came with a large group and they were able to keep us together and serve us fast. We sat outside and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The music was not to loud and the server was friendly. The food itself was fantastic. I recommend the truffle fries and my 4 year old loved the spaghetti.

2018-09-10Note sure if it was an off night or what, it some of the worst food ever. Great server. But the stuffed shrimp were sad. The shrimp were way over cooked and about as bland as they could be. The stuffing was mostly tasteless, but had a beer taste to it. The rice that came on the place was tooth breaking hard, and the zucchini was carbon black. (If I microwaved some shrimp in butter, they would have been better).I got the Southwest Chicken Salad. It was ok, but the chicken was cold, not freshly grilled, and the dressing could have been so much better.Pizza next door would have been a much better use of money and time. Or even the pizza here looked good. Skip the shrimp!!

2021-08-15Great food with huge portions. Drinks were not too sweet or too strong. Everything tasted great! Relaxing outdoor patio area. Accommodating to dogs (they even brought a cold bowl of water). Great place to visit, especially when you are vacationing.

2021-10-21We had our welcome drinks at Frederick’s before our Sagamore wedding. Connie was SO flexible, accommodating, and easy to work with. Everyone at Frederick’s made the evening so relaxed and fun! We also loved the delicious dinner we had there beforehand!
