Very nice sandwiches and fresh salads
As usual my visit after not being in the neighborhood in 4 years the only thing thats changed are less hair and more wrinkles ! But the food always top notch ! Great staff Service Always with a Smile !
I found this place by luck while searching for a good deli to get a sandwich. The deli has a large menu of food items to order & the staff is helpful and friendly. I really enjoy the sandwiches I’ve ordered here but they are a bit on the pricey side, to me it’s well worth it for the quality and taste of the food. I would definitely recommend this place to others. It does not have space for you to eat in, so you’d have to take your order to go. They also have a small inventory of drinks and bread, deserts & chips to buy additionally. Check it out.

Havent been to this deli since I was a kid and it looked exactly the same as it did all those years ago. But that was not a bad thing. It was clean and very neat. My wife and I had ordered some sandwiches and were very pleased to see that our order was correctly executed! Seems odd that you would have to point out when someone actually gets your order right, however we find that so many places get your order wrong these days it probably should be praised when someone gets it right! We ordered four hero sandwiches, the bread was soft, the meat was fresh and the food was excellent! I highly recommend this local Deli. I was pleasantly surprised!
First off, food is always great. My 3 star review is because every single time something is always wrong with my order! Drives me crazy other than that once I look past that food quality is top notch
Recently moved a couple blocks away from Fred’s and thought I’d check it out. I love that it’s located on the side streets and not a busy road like Hempstead Turnpike. I’ve only ever gotten breakfast from here during peak hours. Egg sandwiches have been good, coffee has been great, my only complaint is the wait time. Seems like every time I go in the morning I’m waiting a bit too long for one egg sandwich and one coffee. However, all the staff I’ve met has been super nice and helpful. Next time I’ll leave myself a bit more time because it is convenient to avoided the main roads before work when possible.
First time there. I live here and never went in. Very clean, plenty of help, and lots of customers, so you know the food and cold cuts move. Boars head ham very fresh. Thats my new deli, good bye king kullen deli.
Very loveable staff in this place and a local spot to all ages ,from older people to kids getting out of high school near by, in addition to the staff being all mature and willing to accommodate to your needs and the ability to call ahead and place an order is a check in my books for convenience for just a grab and pay situation. Really cant go wrong with your purchase as a favorite or two can be the chicken cutlet classic and the hungry man for a meal or 2 in itself can be filling for a decent while with a juice or coffee. This is my safe choice for a deli and would actually drive out of the way to pickup a sandwich after class as the prices for the same style of sandwich at other places are you expensive and for less but Freds really is the superior choice.
I drive from Amityville just to get their potato and macaroni salads. This year I tried their apple pie for Thanksgiving, it was delicious. The best apple pie I have had in a long time. The employees are the best.
This is a great deli. Been here more than 30x, always pleasant people and accurate orders. The food is quality and tasty, i recommend calling your order in ahead of time. Plenty of parking and snacks selections to choose from.

Great deli to stop in, has an awesome local feel. Only downside is the wait sometimes.Delicious food and better prices then most delis and always coffee or juice with egg sandwiches but like I said the wait can be long at times even when theres no line.
Freds is great its always the same people working behind the counter. A good sandwich can always be made with fresh cold cuts, salads, and they even have some pretty good sweets. If you need a little grocery store they have that as well with eggs and milk and what not. Make sure you get there early or wait till later because on Sunday mornings the place is packed. People know what they like and they show up to Freds in droves.
Very friendly crew, food is always delicious. Only bad incident i had was a new employee messing up mine and my fiances snadwiches but not holding that against her since shes new. Using it as an example of never encountering a problem when ordering here
When I worked in the area I used to frequent Fred’s every morning for a breakfast sandwich and or at lunch for one of their delicious and always fresh salads. Whether it be tuna, seafood, or shrimp salad it tasted as though it was just made. Their German Potato Salad is consistently good. Sandwiches whether it be on a hero or bread was always a winner in my book. While it was at times so crowded Fred’s always had enough workers to keep the line moving, taking names for sandwiches and due to that custom they began to put your face with a name , started to say good morning or afternoon which was to me such a warm welcome. Parking at this location is great you really never have a problem even if you have to park a couple spots down its all relevant to Fred’s front door. My only reason for taking one star off is that compared to other deli’s Fred’s while having the freshest food and wonderful employee’s is in my opinion very expensive. But with that being said you do get what you pay for and if your pocketbook allows for it this is the Best Deli in Levittown, Wantagh, East Meadow and surrounding areas.
Well the Potato Salad was good, everything else was horrible. I am not sure how about the chicken cutlet sandwich had no taste, But the worst is all the guys were rude, one was touching food with his hands, when the customer said something he just muttered something and put them on. The other employee sees an older man walk in and says oh god ... if you dont want to help people dont work in a deli, someone else will be happy to work. Never going back
My dad and grandparents have been going to this deli since the 50s. Everything is too notch including the service. There are no illegals in the back making sandwiches like every other deli on Long Island.h This the heart of America and I hope it stays that way forever.

Ahhh, nothing like finding an old school deli nestled away in Levittown, but right near a bunch of errands I was running...The good ol Yelp app once again comes in for the save!We ordered two sandwiches, both about $7 apiece and packed to the gills! They run a friendly but extremely organized operation behind the counter, and all the salads, cold cuts, and other goodies look great!
They didnt have any of the items I wanted...They are very very pricey too! 20 oz soda $2.29 lol I can get it in the supermarket for at most $1.68...thats at Wal-Mart...grocery store even cheaper like $1.50...vending machines bottles $1.50 and cans are $0.50- $1.00. I wont be going there again.

2022-06-02The old school deli still exists... the American Delicatessen or Corner Deli is a dying bread in New York, cheap international imitations run rampant... this is a great classic Deli and the staff are super friendly... oh breakfast rocks, Hungry Man all the way!
