I want this place to work so bad because i love bread and is close to me. I lost the count how many time they messed my order, i felt that the cashier didnt know what she was doing. The sandwich are not fresh they been seating in the viewer all day. They just take that and put it in the microwave. Like a couple time my grubgub order was canceled because they couldnt fulfilled. I feel they make a set of sandwich daily and once its done they dont make anything else freshly. The breakfast is the only positive thing i find here, is very delicious and good portion. I wish this place get better.
Fantastic place, very welcoming staff and delicious bakery (highly recommended the croissant or croissant based sandwiches!). I went there for almost a week in a row during my short term stay in Queens, for early breakfast and get some work done, and had a great experience. Sometimes the music was too loud , if you are on a zoom call, for example, but the staff were so accommodating that they readily turned down the volume when I asked them to do so. Definitely will visit again next time I am around Jackson Hights!
I’ve stopped by here a couple times and so far it’s been really solid. First time I came was closer to end of day but the pastries I had were still good (red velvet cake was quite unique), so I figured I’d make a morning visit to round it out. They have a variety of breakfast options but of note are their croissants; try these first. Even standalone they are good, in sandwich form even better. The non-coffee drink options are limited but they gave me a random cup of ice with the OJ I grabbed (unusual but a nice touch). Service was refreshingly good and the interior was clean and well-lit. There is ample seating and for the most part it is very relaxed and quiet.I grabbed a baguette and a loaf to go. It was a little hard to identify the breads (no labels) but it wasn’t busy so I just asked about a few of them. I wasn’t entirely sure what a French Toast loaf was supposed to be but I figured that’s their name so I’d give it a shot. It’s actually quite pleasant, definitely more sweet than savory but not overly so. The baguette is more on the chewy side than crusty, but after a quick reheat in the oven came out balanced. I dropped by around 9 but they open at 7, so it might have a different character fresh out of the oven.Overall it’s off to a good start so I’ll be back for more. Definitely give it a try if you’re in the area.
Great selection of breads and pastries. Quaint little store with some elegant clean indoor seating. Good selection of cakes. I loved the black forest cake. The macarons are great. My favorite breakfast is the croissant sandwiches. They have both vegetarian and non vegetarian options for that. Would definitely recommend.
We ordered slices of oreo cake and nutella cheesecake. The oreo cake was horrible, the frosting was worse than cheap supermarket frosting, the cake was dry and the edges hard letting me know it was old. The nutella cheesecake was better but not fresh either, the crust tasted like it was good when the cake was fresh...the best part was the nutella. For the look of the place and the price, I expected waaay more.

Have eaten here in the past and food was alright, but lately service has taken a huge hit. Ordered a bacon, egg , and cheese and a coffee online for pickup so it would be a quick process for me before work. Instead, after ten minutes of waiting for them to confirm my order, I called them, and after 3 minutes of holding and an explanation that their internet had been bad all week, finally got it confirmed. All this only for them to call me back 15 minutes later to say their espresso machine was broken, so half the order is gone. With no solution offered, I ask for a cancellation, to which they say okay, but then the online service wont issue a refund for the order since the bakery confirmed it. So, spent about an hour on what shouldve been a 5-10 minute process to end up with no refund and no food. Nice.
I tried too good to go app and went to pick up pastries.they were not welcoming.in the bag there was 4 stale pastries which is supposed to be $15 value I guess.so I called too good to go but they said sorry and I let them know about the scam.anyway guys anybody order too good to go please don’t waste money.I gave one star and I am giving one star.i told my friend about the place.I will never go there.
Objectively the worst eclaire Ive ever eaten. Like a Twinkie with chocolate on top, but prettier and more expensive. Somehow the person behind the counter mixed up an order of cheesecake with a giant chocolate truffle, which I can live with, but the truffle was just disgustingly sweet (and I have a very high tolerance for sugar).
I got a salmon crepe and my mom got a mushroom spinach omelette with cheese and all of our food was delicious. Reasonably priced and large portions! The staff was very pleasant as well. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because the drinks were mediocre. We also didn’t get any of the baked goods which looked amazing!
Amazing food and variety of choices. You can never get bored with this place and I assure you theres nothing you can try that you would not like! However, counter service is not the best. The girls are constantly on their phones and distracted, orders are mixed up or delayed. I ordered a Sunday early afternoon for 3, and we got our food (we ordered pre-prepped things) after 4 or 6 more people ordered and left. It was a long time to wait for 3 ready-made sandwiches.French Toast is truly a gem in this neighborhood, but they need to get better counter people...
OMG just bought a whole pie of Chocolate cake As it’s my wife’s birthday today and this place is new in the area have had big hope but super disappointed. Strawberries on the top of chocolate cake were frozen so you know now that cakes been put into freezer overnight all the time and during the day they take it it out I think. We know for sure that cake is not fresh I will add the picture later if needed. Price wasn’t a problem if the cake was delicious but it’s not. It’s hard as it’s been in freezer. One request with the owner and staff of that cafe Please try not to play with people’s feelings and money. When we buy something from you means we expect better taste and fresh from you. Sorry but this is my first and last from you guys. And people please check before you buy something. I was with my kid so was in a rush so cdnt get chance to check properly!! Waste of energy! Waste of money and more important Waste of time. We all had very little of that cake as to celebrate my wife’s birthday and dumped more than half.
The 1st time I bought a french baguette here a few months ago, it was like rock! It was not anything close to an authentic French baguette. So, I said the next time Ill just buy a loaf of bread. When I came back to buy one, I was surprised that the price went up all of a sudden, it used to be $5ish, now its price is at $7.99. Nothing really special about the raisin bread loaf that I bought, the taste is just so so but its way overpriced! I realized I could just get a more decent bread from other French cafes around the neighborhood for a much lower price but a better taste. Likewise, the chai latte I bought before was bland & the spices are not so strong. I found out that they are just using chai that is already incorporated in the milk that is thats why the flavor is not that concentrated. I hope they improve on this cuz my experience so far, is quite dissappointing. Dont get me wrong, I like the ambience & the service here & the pastries look better ( I havent tried them though) but obviously the quality of their bread should be improved since they are serving artisinal ones.
The place has a nice friendly atmosphere and the employees are nice and accommodating. However, I noticed that the employees are overworked and seem exhausted. If youre coming for the food, the food is good but its so over priced it makes my wallet cry. I wouldnt recommend coming here unless you want a nice place to study and do work.
My boyfriend and I come here pretty much every morning and everything weve tried so far is amazing and high quality....Edit: They recently changed owners and the quality of the usual stuff we get just stopped drastically. I ordered their usual BLT with this amazing cheese bread they made and instead they served me a baguette with some low quality melted cheese...We looked at the sad sandwich and lost all appetite for it. Dont think Ill ever be coming back here again. So unfortunate, because this place was usually the highlight of my mornings.Edit 2: They closed to restructure, my boyfriend and I went back after they opened again with the hope that everything was back to normal. They put up a permanent menu which made it a lot easier to order and brought back one of the original guys that worked there who always made every one of our orders amazing. Im glad they gave their business another look and listened to their customers 😊 Thats something I truly respect about a business and what will make me come back.

2022-02-11This is a relatively new bakery in my Woodside, Queens neighborhood. Today I went in for the first time and I am very happy to have found this 💎. The place is very cute with ample room to grab a table. I took my 2 Almond Croissants and 2 Spinach and Feta Croissants to go so I could share them with my mom. We both loved the Croissants. The service was friendly and the prices are good. I will definitely go back to try some of their other 😋 offerings.

2021-09-18We were so excited to see a bakery & cafe like French Toast Bakery opening in our neighborhood since pastries & coffee are a daily-must for us. The decor is not the most modern among our go-to cafes, but it’s clean, bright and wide-spaced.The staff was also really friendly and gave us really honest recommendations. We would like to purchase a slice of their Red Velvet Pound Cake and they told us it’s not good on that day.We ended up having their Apple Tart and Ferraro Rocher Cake. The tart was really good, the crust was crunchy and the filling was creamy with plenty of apple slices. The cake wasn’t as good & delicate as our expectation so we would like to try other options next time.

2022-04-22Came in to grab a coffee on a Saturday afternoon and there were already a good amount of people sitting in the bakery. The atmosphere was nice and was definitely a place I would consider sitting at if there was an open table. The desserts all looked so delicious, but I was too full to eat any dessert. I ordered an iced hazelnut latte and it was way too sweet! I felt like I was just drinking the syrup. My boyfriend told me he watched the barista pump the syrup in like 10 times. My friend wanted to get an iced matcha latte, but for some reason, the barista shook his head no, so she got an iced vanilla latte instead, which she wasnt the biggest fan of. Another one of our friends actually was able to order an iced matcha latte afterwards. It was so confusing. Seems like there was some sort of miscommunication amongst the staff.

2021-09-26Great selection of fresh bread and pastries here. I need to go back and try some of their sandwiches. I believe they also deliver to my house, so I may need to do it that way! Great latte with oat milk and my sourdough loaf was great.

2021-08-21Absolutely amazing experience! ❤️Since I can remember, I’ve always been in love with French Toast. In my time here in New York, I have been searching everywhere for a spot that really makes the best French Toast. This place met my expectations and more. The atmosphere is very relaxing, lo-fi/jazz style instrumentals play while you sit. 🎶I can tell the food was made with lots of love. ❤️From the preparation to the plating. 💯Didn’t expect to, but definitely had to finish once I started.10/10!
