fresh&co in other cities:
The staff and customer service here is pathetic. the lady at the cashier was so rude. on top of that they keep increasing prices every few months. I have this regular smoked salmon avocado toast here and they took out the avocado from the toast on the same price . i asked for it and she goes it will be extra . i asked to replace the cream cheese with scallion cream cheese , it ll be extra. which is still ok but she took 20 minutes to make a toast and soo RUDEE.. they re trying to go out of business
Deff wasn’t it. There’s more salad than protein. First time there they didn’t put the chicken in my salad. I go back they put the wrong chicken in. The kale you can tell isn’t blanched cause it was tough Af. And overall it’s just bland. Even with dressing 🤯🙄 Im sorry for $21 this want it.
Good food, fresh vegetablesNice staffFair prices for the portionsGood option for vegansClean floorRestrooms availableCan be crowded but service flowsDeltas: Ambient too noisy with loud music (maybe to avoid people to stay and eat in?)Should improve recycling...plastic bag, forks knifes in plastic
Food is good but staff can do much better. Specifically the cashiers and one female in the salad bar. Either the cashiers can’t get their act together and the salad bar person doesn’t want to be bothered with a customer. If you don’t like being in the service business do something else.
Great fresh food and Great people! Fresh & Cos store at the corner of 7th Ave and 57th St in NYC has a rare combination of the freshest, healthiest and tastiest food in the area (at reasonable prices)! But the cool thing is that it is a happy place where the crew greets everyone with a smile as they hustle to fill your order. (The store is kept extremely clean and bright.) These happy vibes and positive atmosphere cannot be faked, and this is a reflection on their outstanding store manager, Belen. She works side by side with her crew and sets the example. It is obvious that they love her and feel that it is a happy place to work. We could not help but come for breakfast everyday while we were in the city. Fresh & Co was a great positive, healthy way to start our day! Thank you Belen!!!
Salads are great, staff is cool except Ms Elizabeth. She acts like she owns the entire store. Im already paying tax on my food why should I pay an additional 5 cents for a bag. With all the homeless people in the area common sense I should get a bag with a bagel, crossaint or salad but its all about the money for her . Shes the worse.
If your a regular, or if its your first time, fresh & co. Makes you feel at home. Healthy everything, no BS, great personalized service, I roll through every now and then on the morning shift. And if you read my reviews you know Im HYPER CRITICAL and down right mean when things piss me off. Because people should NOT piss me off. THIS place makes me SOOO happy!
The service of this place is pretty poor. I only went in here because I wanted to get a quick bite to eat before going to a football game and the line was small in comparison to other bagel and breakfast places. I now know why the line was so small and its because the service is poor and the food is just average.I waited in line for two people to complete their order and then it turns out that I needed to order somewhere else. The cashier saw me waiting the entire time and never told me ahead of time. There was no sign showing where to order so I had no idea. When I finally ordered and had my food ready the person forgot if I was here or to-go. The food I ordered which was like a bagel, egg, and cheese sandwich was nothing more than average. I think Id rather have gone to Mcdonalds especially since I would have saved way more money.I dont recommend this place .
Good tasting, relatively health food (although it depends on what you order) at typical Manhattan prices. This eatery can get very busy, for example at lunch time on a weekday and there may be no seats available. The staff were friendly enough (although interaction with them was limited) and the overall dining experience was as expected from a fast casual eatery. In addition to numerous food options, there is a full service coffee shop inside fresh &co.
I love their greek yogurt, blueberry & walnuts as well as their granola parfaits. The other stuff id pretty good too but that’s what I come for cause it’s really really great. When I loved in Jersey, I’d stockpile a few of these when I cam to the city to eat throughout the week; that’s how good it is!
On our first trip to NYC my girlfriend and I were looking for a gluten-friendly place for lunch. The sign on the window drew us in and we werent disappointed! Not only was the staff (and management) friendly and happy, they were incredibly helpful and informative when it came to picking out which foods were gluten-free. Moreover, the food was fresh, delicious, and prepared quickly. They also had signs indicating where all their produce that day had come from which shows they care about the quality and origin of their foods. We highly recommend this place and will certainly visit it again next time were in NYC.
The food was great, but the service was horrible. I ordered a simple pumkin muffin. It took 8 min before i walked over and inquired about not getting the muffin. During that 8 min, i watched the cashier had carry 3 different dishes to the tables of others. When they finally got my muffin, it was wrapped to go, although i was eating here. When i asked for a plate, the look on the cashiers face was as if me asking for a plate to eat in. The final insult was after all of the above, the muffin was half warm and half cold.
The food is fabulous!! However, the staff doesnt say anything about the customers scratching their armpits, and then reaching their hands over the screen to point at what food they want. It seems as though people cant describe the food and have to put their entire hand over it to explain what they want. Besides this, the restaurant gets a 5 out of 5.
We ate our breakfast there every morning during our New York visit in augusti 2016. Since our daughter is extremely allergic to all kinds of nuts, it is important for us to eat at a restaurant that will take her allergy seriously and can serve a fresh meal without nuts.We would like to thank the manager and his staff for that you got our daughter to feel safe eating her breakfast. And of course, the food was incredibly fresh and tasted good.Best regardsThree plain bagels - two with butter, one with butter next to it
Great option for the more health-conscious. This place has more than just great salads. Everyone gets tired of eating salad sometimes, and Fresh & Co. has great hot entrees, soups, sandwiches, snacks, and juices as well. Its definitely become one of my go-to places for a quick, cheap, meal that doesnt leave me in a food-coma afterward.
Excellent food! The fresh&co assortment of selections is so wide, so healthy & so fresh! I often have varying dietary needs, & when in Manhattan, fresh&co is always on my list of places to grab a bite! They have old favorites like egg sandwiches & seasonal soups, as well as a create your own soup, salad or sandwich station! Along with all of that, there is always a variety of fresh food, like parfaits, fresh-squeezed juices & wraps. The staff is very accommodating & the store is always fresh. fresh&co, indeed!!!
Salads are always delicious. Pay now to eat healthy or pay later for your medical bills, because you didnt eat healthy!! Just saying! I keep seeing reviews complaining of the price. There arent too many places left that dont charge $12 and up for a salad whether it be NYC or not. The salads are packed. So you get a lot. Well worth the price.Yesterday I had the Fall salad with Kale and Romaine. It was so delicious!!! Yummy!!!
I was in New York a couple of weeks ago and needed to have some lunch on the go. This was the perfect solution, having in mind the fact that I couldnt spend too much time looking for such a place. The food was great: well cooked and fresh. The prices were very decent and the staff was moving very fast with our orders. I will come back here when Ill be in NY for the next time.
Theres always something delicious to eat in this recent addition to the NYC fast but nutritious food scene. Favorites include the turkey chili, the salad bar (a large assortment of items makes this a wonderful option for a filling and tasty meal) and the chick pea salad. Top it off with a light dessert treat and a cup if fresh coffee, and youre good to go.
I like this place, a good place for quick breakfast or lunch during the workweek. Their soups station is good, I especially like the split pea and the matzo ball soup (when they have it). They have cold prepared sandwiches that you can grab and go and hot sandwiches you can order. Theres also a salad and pasta station, both of which I like. Certainly not somewhere Id travel out of my way to eat at, but if you work in the area this is one of the best options in the wasteland around Penn Station. Also, I love their mini-brownies and the workers are pretty pleasant. There are cheaper lunch options, but they seem to use better ingredients, so I dont mind.
This is the place where I take my lunch two or three times a week. I come here because I love how the staff is treating the customers: they are fast and always smiling. The food is great and I love the taste of their fresh vegetables. The prices are very decent. This is clearly a 5 star location.
During my business trip to New York, I went here with some of my local colleagues. The place looks very nice and I loved the fact that, during lunch, it is not crowded. The customer service is excellent and the food is delicious (and quickly served). Will definitely come back here when I will be for the next time in New York.
I don’t write reviews much.. but I once liked this place.. a bunch of healthy options and tasty fresh food... BUT NOW?.. I started with a salad fresh made, it bothered me that the once bowl like plastic containers are now flat plate like ones (less of a portion). Then the preparer who was a very nice person, but continued to point out to me everything I added was EXTRA$.. I mean extra for blue cheese crumbles???? Then during the prep his rude manager berated him and yelled at him after I had walked to pay. She continued to criticize him and berate him even after I left. She was not even dressed like an employee. Lastly.. the price.. my total was 26 dollars! I got a salad.. not big by any means.. and chicken salad on whole wheat bread!!?!?... figure 3 bucks tax and 7 for the sandwich... $16 for a salad.. you tell me if my review is bad.
The only redeeming quality of this place is the manager who comped my $13 salad after one of his employees cursed me out as I was trying to find the ice machine. Never have I interacted with such a rude staff. They are childish have no patience and no respect. If you want good healthy food with genuinely decent employees, go down another block and walk in to Minigrow
I had a grain bowl in fresh & co in Broadway recently for lunch, It was good. So thought about visiting it again today for dinner in different location in 7th ave, expecting same taste and quality. But disappointed. It wasnt fresh and the chicken was bland. I always try not to waste food, but throw half of it, spoiled my mood. This branch is not good.
I go to the one on 7th ave and 30th street corner.i am increasingly becoming disappointed with this place.I have been going there every morning to get breakfast for past couple years so you could consider me regular customer.Lately, the quality and quantity of breakfast orders have gone down significantly.I normally order three egg omelettes - and they used to be awesome but after change in staff now i find burnt toasts and omelette which clearly is not made of three eggs, the person who takes omelette order cuts corner in adding veggies as well.i am looking at the breakfast just got from there and it barely justifies the price i paid for it,not to say i can count the potatoes on my finger tips which i ordered as side.I used to like this place a lot for their variety of food and quality and very decent sized portions even thoughit may get pricey very quickly but now I am beginning to think its hugely overpriced and not worth it at all.Time to go somewhere else.
I ordered oatmeal with bananas and brown sugar. They gave me apples, and if there was brown sugar added, I couldnt detect it: the most watered down tasting oat meal ever. I traded it in for my original order. They replaced it and there was an okay helping of banana, but except for that, it was tasteless. I threw half of it away. The coffee tasted okay but it was lukewarm. Didnt feel like going back to ask for a hot coffee. Place is clean but looks better than it is.
Food here is deliciousand healthy. but the best part is the staff. I go here maybe once a week and Im always greeted as a friend, even though dont know anyone in this store personally. they treat me and everyone else as if they are close friends highly recommend eating here
If I could sue this one, I would!I got food poisoning from this restaurant. Ate there ln Thursday night.Hospitalized on Friday. And been throwing up and diarrhea for the whole weekend.I just felt better today (Tuesday).Long story short. I made a pick up order through their website around 5PM. My husband picked it up at 6PM. We ate at my Chirropractors waiting room right away (just accross the street from this Fresh & Co), I realized the fried chicken & honey dijon mustard dressing that I ordered are not there. Fine. Ill eat what I can.(My husband ordered chicken caesar salad, I ordered custom salad ; kale, spring mix, onion, corn, mushroom, tomato, fried chicken with honey dijon and avocado dressing. Plus rice pudding). At around 7.30 my tummy feels funny. After I finished the chirropractic session at 8PM, I came back to the restaurant. I told them the orders I paid for was not there. The cashier was apolegetic, asking if I want anything on the house. I said maybe just little bit extra corn. I got my salad back. But, she gave me steamed or grilled chicken (it wasnt the chicken I ordered), but I didnt complain. Its not a big deal, its chicken anyway. At around 8.30, my tummy is getting worst. I had abdominal pain and cramp, extremely bloated, nausea. I felt so weak and weird. I got home at around 9.30, I couldnt sleep and when I slept, I had to push my tummy. At 6AM the next day, I went to E.R, they said I had stomach flu. I stayed in E.R for 5 hours. With the clumsiness of the staffs, Im not surprised if I got sick. They probably forgot to wash their hands, wear gloves, or doing proper food prep.
Love the food. Close to my job so I go every day. They lose a star for their staff. I once asked a girl what soups they were bringing up (it was 11 & on the menu it says the soups should come up at 10:30) and she said she didnt know, & when i asked if she could check she said no. Plus theres a lot of side talking whenever I go..not really attentive.
I had their texmex quinoa bowl and was amazed by it. I was very leery of the quinoa and kale, as I had never eaten it before. This made me want to eat kale and quinoa by the boatload. Outstanding and well worth the money. Excellent portion size. Enough for two meals for me.
This place is so slow during off-peak hours. I decided to get a late lunch here today and thought I would just go in and out considering there was nobody in line at all but no, I waited minutes just for a service. I get my food faster during peak hours so if you decide to come here during off-peak forget it, youll be waiting longer.
I Was There at 1:30 Customizing A delicious Salad As Usual and Got served By Ms.Jennifer I wasnt asked What Dressing or nothing My salad Was Not chopped Basically as Soon as i was In front of Her I was Just Eye rolled ;Whatever she Said under her breath She needs to learn to keep it to herself . I personally love fresh and co and because of one Person I will Not stop Going . I Just Stopped by Another local And asked to get my salad Finished And Yes Gladly Payed . Just Negativity From One person Is not welcomed . Everyone else was So Nice and Welcoming Honestly If she had a bad day Dont Take it out on The food Im well Paying for .I did speak troutgh the phone with Mr. Steve But Honestly Not going to Spend more time No help .... ❤️ Thank You -Att GisselleIll Just switch to Another fresh and co ✨
This place is corner property in the heart of the MSG district and everything is extremely over priced. The automaton staff is that of an automobile assembly line and the salad pricing is a bit deceiving. Must say I am a bit pissed that I found torn plastic mixed into my $13.50 salad which had (1) meat and (4) addl topping + dressing -- Stay away from this place, there are other spots close by!
Music is way too loud, and poorly selected. I mean we are in NY City and we choose to blast Flo rida, Black eyed peas, and Jonas Brothers. Poor selection of paninis that probably have been sitting out all day. The turkey and cheddar made my girlfriend cry. Unless youre a single middle aged woman Id advise you to choose the pizza place across the street.
This is a review ONLY on the QuestLove Cheesesteak..I have never been in a fresh&co..Im a vegetarian for 9yrs now, so my husband brought me one home..I ate it in about a minute..so good..so flippin good..I want to stuff my face with them right now..haIll def be eating one again..12$ is ridiculous but its a nice indulgence when youre near one..
PRO : Good clean eats , environmentally clean , upper middle of the road pricing , CONS: communication barrier when ordering customize salad adds up quick with minimal customer service to assist. SUGGESTIONS: stick to the menu will revisit again with that in mind in the future .
Finally, after 4 days of hot dogs, pizzas, hamburgers, and other very fatty meals, I discovered this brand... And its a real pleasure. I made my own formula, its fresh, hearty, healthy... And the team was very patient despite my bad English... Im going back as soon as possible while Im in NY 👍👍👍 👍👍

2022-05-03Fresh&co offers a lot of friendly food for those with allergies. My friend with gluten allegory felt like heaven when she was here. The food was delicious. I love how accommodating everyone here was. The staff was really friendly. She managed to get glue free toast, fruit, potatoes and omelette. All things she can actually eat. I encourage others to try their food too!

2022-06-09Spent the past five days next door at the Stewart Hotel and ate here pretty much everyday, twice a day. The food is amazing and the staff were great! Please send our thanks to all of the staff from the guy who kept asking for his Power BLT on a croissant! Lol

2021-02-22Keeping it real out here in MidtownTheres so many fresh&co locations spread throughout midtown Manhattan. The sandwiches are pretty standard, you wont be disappointed, they arent cheap either, paying Manhattan prices for these sandwiches. Staff are all very nice, pick up process is always smooth with utensils and sauces included in bag.

2018-04-27Decent food at decent prices. The ambience is nice. The place is large. The staff is very nice. The Food comes out quick and fresh. You can’t really ask for much more at this price point I highly recommend it. The California turkey wrap is very good. Definitely better than a lot of other food in this area for a quick bite. Go get it

2021-08-28Got the Power BLT and while the sandwich was boring, I’m giving this place 3 stars because I think as the name implies this should be farm-to-table ingredients so healthier? Maybe mustard or a vinegar based sauce would have saved the sandwich…
