Freshtown Marketplace in other cities:
Very good deli sandwiches but the floor staff not the deli staff they were great but the floor staff there sometimes take covid precautions to strenuously. And what I mean by that is I literally had someone who yelled at me for going up the wrong aisle to the checkout counter even though I was wearing a mask. I usually go there every time Im in town for a good deli sandwich but some of the staff there have a God complex due to covid 19
Very sad that they arw very overpriced.. And cant show any reason why they are except theres no other full size store in the area. Ive seen prices almost doubled fpr something I purchased at dollar General from the frozen section. Then ive seen them hiring for.8 mnths atleast and know of 2 people who tried to get a job and the never were responded to. Sad. They maybe still hiring this day.. Signs may be up still. Stay away and shop somewhere else if you can. Multiple reasons. Good luck to all.
I enjoy seeing faces that I know are local or long term. The employees overall great but prices not so much. I Shop there for the great sale items and member deals only. Its kinda out of my personal way to work so cant say I go there much anymore. But I do have say everyone thats there cares about there job. Ill say i know i worked there when I was younger and its still the same
I really love this little store. Senior citizen discounts, green points, coupon specials and a most inviting produce section make this my go-to grocery. I am regularly surprised at the gluten-free section and the healthy snacks. I find stuff here I didnt know I needed.
This grocery store has a good selection of food, a little smaller than normal section of house hold items including toiletries and OTC items. Produce is usually fresh and the meat selection is good. Prices are ok with most items costing what you would expect. Not as big as some of the more modern big super stores (or as nice) but looks arent everything when all you need is food.
Very expensive for what they sell and the quality. It is conveniently located and you can get what you need and get out quickly because the staff are efficient and overall friendly. The deli and meat items could be fresher and they could have better choices. Produce section is nice and well maintained.
The staff are usually friendly and helpful (hence the 2 stars), but good grief are the prices outrageous. And thats comparing it to Manhattan prices. For the amount of money we spent there on a naive shopping trip, our food should have lasted us 2+ weeks (we got about 4 days worth) and/or every single item should have been same day fresh, locally sourced, sustainably produced, and 100% organic. None of this was the case.
People were not friendly and helpful like in Fishkill. I stopped in and asked where something was and I got eye rolls and whispers. Cant give less than 1 star, but if you could. I would. Two more bad experiences after my first one. Unfortunately this is the only market in town.
This supermarket is the best in this bare a offering fresh produce and even organic chicken from Bell and Evans. What I love about this supermarket is that they have great deals on non produce items like paper towels, toilet paper, and even Harney and Son tea. The shopping center also houses a pharmacy and Tractor & Supply for the much needed wood pellets in the Winter.
Fruit and vegetables are not fresh and spoil quickly. Extremely over priced for a small town grocery. I hate going there but stop when Ansley necessary.I recommend diving elsewhere if you have the time:Big Y in New Milford, CTACME Pleasant Valley, NYHannaford, Pawling, NY or Lagrange
Large chain supermarket, something for everyone. Indian microwave packets and sushi as disparate examples. Though I suppose one should not trust sushi where one cannot hear the sound of the ocean, its almost as good as one can find in a Japanese railway station I.e., adequate. Which is a faint recommendation.
I have been a customer for 14 years and very disappointed as of the last two weeks they have raised the price of meats by at least 1dollar or more per pound I dont think I will be going there any more and I will be reporting them for price gouging I dont think its right for a grocery store at this time to be taking advantage of the people who are trying to feed there children when most have lost there jobs completely outrageous
Sadly this is the only game in town. They make it a point not to carry regular items/products that you find in other grocery stores. The produce is not as fresh as it should be and they keep competition out of the area. I shop there only when I have to and I live nearby. I do most of my grocery shopping at Shop Rite in LaGrange.

2022-03-06Staff is always helpful and lovely. However the produce is frequently past its prime. I imagine that has more to do with the low traffic. They also never lifted their mask mandates and thats inconsistent with other stores in the area.

2018-10-24Excellent selection of everyday and exotic foodstuffs. Nice seasonal offerings. Grinders for coffee and customized peanut butter. Friendly staff and management. Good organization of aisles. Very large parking lot on-site. Recycling of cans, bottles, plastic bags, and self-serve refills of water carafes.

2021-12-30Being the only game in town, the only negative is that they do not have large varieties of products. Good at basics. This is my closest market to my weekend home.

2021-09-07Staff is friendly and worked hard through the pandemic. They made sure they showed up and helped our families stay full and happy. They pay close attention and make sure to give you the best possible service ( my opinion ), some even know your number by heart when you step up to check out!! Produce is well taken care of and rarely find anything out of date. Lots to choose fr including local products from surrounding farms. Thanks for all the hard work!!

2021-08-17Went to Tractor Supply, very nice staff, helpful & accommodating. Plenty of variety there. We shopped in the Gardening Dept. They excellently handled our very large order of dirt and loaded our vehicle with over 40 bags of top soilVery considerate of my disability.

2021-10-24Somethings can be expensive, especially the meats, but good for when I need something fast. Also the weekly sale flyers arent that bad. Good stuff does go on sale.

2021-03-27I like that they have a nice selection at good prices. Plenty of organic and meatless alternatives. I dont like that a large percentage of the clientele has a difficult time following directions up and down the aisles during the pandemic.
