Our server was great, food was good and ice cream was great will absolutely be back!
We were not greeted at the door. Server took a long time to get to us. Food wasnt that great and although our server was very nice, he whispered the entire time he took care of us.

I normally like coming to this Friendlys, but the place needs to be cleaned/high chairs are dirty. Its under staffed, more workers are needed. The young waitress Chloe who served us was sweet & did the best she could under the circumstances.
I cant even say that its a bad service because they didnt want to serve us. The only thing the person who came to the table asked was if we were Hispanic and went to serve another table. so we left

I had dinner at Friendlys in Baldwin. The food was great. Chloe was our server, and she was wonderful. She was attentive, and made our dining experience very pleasant. I havent been to Friendlys in years, and I received better food, and better service from Friendlys restaurant, then I would receive from a lot of other restaurants.
I went here 30 mins before closing and waited in the lobby for no one to show up to the counter to take the order. There was a man waiting there before me as well, and he walked out. I left and called on the phone to see if anyone was inside and then a gentleman started walking around so I went in again and they told me that they closed 20 mins ago and can’t take the order. Mind you the store hours are posted up online to be open until 11PM.

Wasn’t thrilled about the menu changes but the food was good. I haven’t been to this location since before Covid and it seems much cleaner and more inviting. It was a little more crowded than I expected but we were seated quickly and got our food in a timely manner. Our waiter Ola was so patient with the kids and so nice and didn’t get aggravated when I kept asking about the new menu. The manager (Kayla) came over to check on us and was so sweet. I normally don’t come to Friendlys often but even my husband commented it was such a nice experience.
Decent quality food. Nothing that I would consider making a special trip for though.

We waited about 20min for someone to come greet us. Deborah the “manager” asked if anyone approached us, and when we told her we were waiting a while, she continued to take other orders, cleaned up multiple tables, and brought out someone elses food. She was very rude and disgusting. She questioned my minor nephew asking him how old is he when i already told her he is 12 year old. She NEVER introduced herself and when we told her we were leaving (bc she was very nasty) she was dismissive and did not even apologize. Very very unprofessional and her employees felt the exact same way when we approached them about her terrible demeanor. Stay away!
We waited a half hour for 3 milk shakes!.... I give props to the young workers there that was trying their best but this place obviously is under staffed! It was Tuesday afternoon for goodness sake! The shakes were runny but tasty.
I love Friendlys. My large sundae is my cheat meal during the week. I dont know why but they can never make my sundae properly. I get a Reeses pieces sundae with extra hot fudge, extra peanut butter sauce, and I specifically tell them to charge me for the extra. They never put the extra on. Why is it so hard? I want it drowning in that stuff. Last night, barely any pb sauce. Cmon. I even tip 20% at the pick up counter to try to incentivize.
Great old fashioned eating. It still has that vibe I used to get going there as a child. Great atmosphere... love it reminds me of my childhood...

Easy claw machine
Nancy was A terrible server. We found hair in our food told her about one of the hairs and politely asked her if we could get a new order. She didn’t apologize instead she inferred that we had placed the hair in the food. After that we still decided to tip. after she received her tip she made rude comments and wasn’t appreciative In the slightest.

Decent food , very good ice cream, service is hit or miss. Appetizers after 8pm are half price. They also deliver locally. Breakfast is our favorite...quick, hearty and well priced. Kathleen is our absolute favorite and does a great job of making us feel welcomed and valued. She really goes above and beyond to deliver a flawless experience. At times the staff is distracted with personal conversations and not very attentive which is disappointing because they could really make a difference in delivering a great experience. The restaurant is nostalgic ! Its also newly renovated and very nice . Its clean and the booths are cozy and comfortable. Friendlys has that throw back feel and is a cute addition to the community. I would recommend to any looking for casual or family friendly dining at reasonable prices.
A favorite spot to go. And we had our favorite waitress Yvonne. We havent seen her in a year. Well be back.

Family friendly place serving good, sit down fast food. Some of us ordered food, others ice cream. I was one who had ice cream and I have to say it was delicious! The wait staff was so patient and accommodating. Ot was a very pleasant, fun time.
A worker here by the name of Cathleen was very rude. I understand the COVID situation and some of us are use to having our masks on but under our nose due to health complications. However Cathleen was very rude about it when I entered to place my order. Not only was she rude when I asked for a menu but she then said “you need to put your mask above your nose”. At the end of the day I understand the situation however that’s not how you speak to someone and provide customer service. She could have simply said “ I notice your mask is below your nose, can you please put it over to protect myself and yourself as well”. That’s how you provide customer service. After she spoke to me rudely, I simply asked for her name and walked out. I don’t recommend anyone coming here if they’re looking for great customer service. At the end of the day the main thing a customer continues to come back is for great service. Cathleen needs more coaching.

Food is good and not terribly over complicated. Can be a bit noisy and sometimes service can be slow ( like the kitchen being backed up), however, overall good choice. Selection of food choices here are very good....and then of course the ice cream.... pistachio, the best!
Disappointed... I knew Friendlys for so many years and it was a favorite in my family, but we havent visited it in a long while. We were so eager to revisit our favorite place, but were unpleasantly surprised. The place no longer has its unique decor that made it stand out from the others, food was very subpar and even ice creams lost the vast variety of flavors Friendlys was so famous for. I see no reason to come back. There is nothing to come back for since there are so many great places opened up recently. Very sad.
Order two banana splits and half the extra toppings i paid for were not even added into them, very irritating , if you have it don’t charge for it.

I hung up the phone because the guy who answered huffed and puffed when I asked to order ice cream for pick up. I’m so tired of workers acting like I’m putting them out to do their job. I also don’t trust people who are obviously disgruntled with me food.

Love this place as this location is filled with childhood memories as well as a fellow classmate of my graduating class works there...food was on point and very yummy ! Service was awesomely speedy ,friendly and our server was very attentive to our needs! We will be back!

Kudos to the servers for being patient with kids but things are a bit too disjointed all around.First, our apple walnut salad was missing...apples. A quick trip back into the kitchen scored us a bowl full of chopped apple chunks to put in. Next, we were given a coupon for a free sundae when we sat down that apparently we weren’t supposed to have, so when I went to cash it in come dessert time, I got a lecture from the waitress even though there was no language/exemption on the coupon saying we couldn’t use it. Finally, repeated asks for more water and soft drinks went unanswered.Our meals were good, though my sandwich was puny for the price. Nice touch that they let you swap in a choice of 6-7 different sides for no additional charge, and then a couple more are available as an upsell.Granted it was a little more crowded by the time we left but everyone from the kitchen to the servers to even the manager we spoke to seemed ill equipped to handle a seemingly typical dinner rush.
Of the area Friendlys, this location has a nice layout and the employees are attentive. Service is good and food, even when really crowded, is generally served with relative speed. And for those local, now offer delivery.

Updated to a fresh, clean eye popping appeal to your senses. Breakfast...lumber jack - plentiful, good quality but their coffee was horrible as reputaion proven...and had to give it back...service good at 9 am on Fathers Day in Baldwin, LI...NY for it was a meeker showing of customers which indicates the dislike of customers. Now, the decor, even though it is appealing was drasticly restricting comfortable seating. Looked like they tried to squeeze in as many seating at the cost of comfort. It was obvious when they served the breakfast and quickly filled up the limited space on the table you had to squeezed into to eat your meal. Even though the breakfast was good quality, their was many negatives which was a possibility of such a low turn out for Fathers Day.
This the smallest Friendlys location I have ever seen. Everything is so tight at this location. So many workers walked right past us, never questioning if we wanted to sit down. There was a family in front of us who walked out after someone asked us how many people was in our party. They stated that they were standing there for 15 minutes. No hostess, workers were doing multiple positions. Food came quickly and it was hot,however do you really want to put up with the wait?
Was just there tonight. The place is filthy, the bathroom smelled horrible and was filthy. The meal came before the appetizer. The waitress was black with an attitude and no personality. The philly cheese steak sandwich was soggy. The whole experience just sucked. No tippee for you sweetie. Sorry.

Ordered through Doordash. Fishermans platter cod was oily and the food was cold (maybe a complaint for doordash... Not sure how to do that). Not enough tarter sauce for the fish, shrimp and clam orderestrips.Also ordered a medium sundae with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce and Gummie bears. It didnt have caramel sauce on it. Very disappointed. May not order from them again.

I paid for my order them came back to add additional ice cream order and a different cashier attempted to assist and gave me an attitude because i told her my check was closed and she needed to start a new one for my additional order.
Like most of the restaurants in this chain, you know you can expect 3 things: good family-friendly food @ a decent price, delicious ice cream products in a long list of flavors and the worst service you can find. Much as I love the first two, the last makes me hesitate to return. The last time my husband & I gave them a chance we sat waiting 25 minutes just for a menu so we walked out. If you get a craving for Friendlys, I suggest you order it in advance to go.

I come often to Friendlys at Baldwin...but today Im very disappointed...I get there 2:22pm..(just me)..a few tables w customers.....3 waitres...I was asked....just one..and she continue getting the tips from tables...she said..look for a table....I did..all tables dirty... Anyways I sat..and wait...she began to attend ppl comes after me ...so I leave the place ......I dont know why this actitud because always they are nice....

I like this place because they offer inexpensive items for $5.55, such as a burger and fries, and Friendlys is always offering coupons in your email such as $2 quarter pounder with fries, $10 off of $25. I rated this Friendlys only 4 stars because the portions they give you are not that large.
Love friendlys ice cream. Watch out for the calo ries. I ordered a sundae with no sugar added vanilla and it was actually good. I didnt give 5 stars due to price. Spent $14 for 2 sundaes.

Friendlies is a pretty average place. Kind of like a midrange diner trying to also be a Dairy Queen. Theyve got icecream pickup in the front, food in the back. Food is definitely comfort food and in some cases very greasy (still tasty though). Standard American food palate with some great icecream options for desert.

2022-05-09Taste of saltiness and close to cold food... Each month that passes by with this location, theres more and more young workers, and less people that come in to eat. I called in for a pickup order at 6:53 pm, got there at 7:15, didnt get my food til 7:30 pm. I originally asked for mini mozzarella sticks, but ended up with the three piece instead. The person on the phone failed to tell me in advance of what they did and didnt have in stock. Why does it take close to 40 mins for such a basic order, especially with a slow night. When I got to Friendlys, theres maybe 5 people working all chatting to themselves, still working, but it takes a while to greet me. There were 5 tables open with a good 10 or so people in the restaurant. Once I got to see my food and ready to eat, the food isnt hot, barely warm, theres barely ice cream, barely any gummy bears, they didnt even fill the small cup. And for some reason the food taste extremely salty. I wasnt even able to finish it. Everyone here is more focused on socializing with themselves, rather than giving people the food that they paid for.

2022-03-16I have been a customer of Friendlys since I was 12. Patronizing this store for 23 years. I am 52. I have never received Reeses ice cream sundays so skimpy. When I called to complaint I got into a screaming match with the supposed manager whose name I will not share publicly. Everyone is entitled to a bad day. Everyone deserves grace. The young lady that made the ice cream, I adore her from previous times there. Again, everyone is entitled to a bad day! But the response from the manager was totally unacceptable. She asked me Do you want a refund? NO I dont want a refund. I want my ice cream! I took the loss and ate what was given to me. I was willing to go back for the sundaes to be remade but clearly this manager was lacking in customer service. Extremely disappointed! Photos are the supposed 3 large Reeses cup sundaes and one 2 scoop ice cream to compare. All purchased at the same time.
