My grandchildren loved the food and most definitely they loved the ice cream 🍦 😋 The waitress was very kind. We had a great time!
Service is VERY slow every time we go. I know there are staff shortages so dont blame them. Staff is friendly and reliable. Just hard to wait so long for food and drinks with 3 kids at a kids restaurant
I used to love Friendly’s and would come every week, but their bad business decision of getting rid of their tasty and popular mini mozzarella sticks and replacing them with cheap, bland mozzarella sticks has made me never step foot in a Friendly’s since.
So the food was alright. Not terrible by any means but not great. The staff was nice but the ice cream was great and that was winner.

This Friendlys location is great for kids. I have 3 toddlers and theyre all nuts, especially when they eat sugar. So we like taking them here because they wait staff and other customers are very patient and (excuse the pun) friendly. Today, our waitress was Gerrianne and she was excellent! Every single time we come here. My kids loooove the cool drinks they have, one is called sharks in the water. It has gummi sharks swimming in a blue colored sprite. The kids meals are very cost effective and come with an ice cream. There are healthy options if you want, most people dont realize this. Keep in mind they are friendly... Not fast, and not always accurate with the order, but always friendly. A great place for a toddlers birthday dinner.
Our server, Miguel, was attentive in taking the order even though we were an almost 20 person group. He explained the menu thoroughly, gave us really great recommendations, and was friendly, which made our experience there a great one. Thanks, Migi! :)
I hadnt been the a Friendlys in so long that when I went, I felt like I was zapped back into my childhood. The ice cream was just as good as I remembered it. With the waffle cone? Mm-mm. The burgers and sandwiches are very good. The breakfast(which is now all day) is good. I got the Big-Two-Do with cinnamon roll pancakes(for .99 more), scrambled eggs, and bacon. The Munchie Mania(3 appetizers) is a nice meal. It is the only appetizer not included in the half-priced apps. Everytime I go, I get a Waffle Cone. It is so good, the only thing I have to say is the paper that goes around the cone has glue that sticks onto the cone.
My tuna melt was cold so I could only eat half of it. They are cheap with their creamers. My friend said the mac and cheese could be better.
The other night I messed up and ordered pickup on their app instead of delivery! I live 20 minutes away and realized five minutes before this store closed. I called them panicked!!! Justin and Joshua went out of their way for me!!!! Joshua came and delivered it to me free!! This poor kid was heading home and he went out of his way to deliver my ice cream that I would have been charged and not got to eat!! I cannotthank these guys enough for saving my night!!! I will love Friendly’s forever!! Thank you guys!!
I was there twice in the last few months. The first time was a good experience and the food was pretty good. The second time wasn’t a good experience . The waitress wasn’t too nice to my 6 year old daughter. My daughter was excited to order her dessert called “dirt.” The waitress said something along the lines of “yes I know I heard you the 3 times you said you wanted it.” I feel that a grown person shouldn’t talk to an excited kid that way. Also, it took so long for our dessert to come out. I probably won’t be going back.
We go there quite often and we are always happy with the service we get. Maureen and Nick usually serve us and we have only positive interactions with them. They are wonderful at their jobs and treat people with respect.

Maureen was fantastic! It was very busy and she was meeting everyones needs as soon as possible. She even kept her cool with rude customers. She is a gem!

Its been a long time since I last ate at Friendlys. (the one in Wantagh closed about 10 years ago) I got the Clams Platter with fries and a side of O-Rings. Literally everything was perfect. Hot, crisp and delicious is how I would describe each item I ordered. Service was friendly and food came quick. Free scoop of ice cream included. The only issue I had was that I and all the patrons were seated in the same small section in an otherwise empty restaurant. Go to Friendlys before theyre all gone!
Always a great spot for the family to sit-in and eat. Never a wait time. Staff is polite and friendly. Restrooms are always clean. Plenty of parking. Never over priced

Wasnt very full, service was timely. seems sparsely staffed however, since there seemed to be one person at a time sitting people/waiting on tables.
Geeted by a pink sign asking to wait. There was no personnel at the front of the store. Eventually, someone from another group waiting to be seated walked over to the kitchen to ask if someone would eventually come out to help.Soon after a young gentleman walked out, reiterated the sign, and told us we had to wait. He did not seem concerned, and his demeanor was not the friendliest.Eventually, when we did get seated we were introduced to Cristina, who did a great job waiting our table. The dessert and her positive attitude made up for a lack-luster greeting.Would revisit again.
A good ole Friendlys not many left on the island. Went for lunch, food was good and staff attentive.

We enjoyed the 1/2 price appetizers and dessert. Service was okay. They were quite busy when we arrived just after 8. There needed to be more servers and food came out very slowly.

Been coming here for years; top notch staff and really great food. All day breakfast is served at this Friendlys and the omelets are the best; Ive paid nearly three times as much for almost the same type of omelet at a fancy upscale hotel restaurant buffet that couldnt compare. I recently had the latest edition of the Vermonter Burger that was a long ago favorite many and has returned; its better than ever and it brought back a load of memories. And theres always that wonderful ice cream! This is one of the Friendlys that was completely renovated a couple of years ago, and its better than ever. While other restaurants have struggled during the COVID pandemic, this Friendlys is always crowded to its permitted capacity (with masks, social distancing and other safety precautions) at the dinner hours, so theyre obviously doing something right.
We have always la la la loved coming to Friendlys with the kids and we have been coming here even before we had kids, but now it is our special place when we visit the LI fam. The kids ask about it all the time. I especially love the quesadillas, the classic grilled cheese and the coffee fribble. I have attempted to make a coffee fribble at home but Friendlys is the only plsce that can do it! The Swiss almond ice cream is delish and I wish that we could come each and every day. The tiny gummy bears that they put on the sundaes make for a perfect topping.
One star because 0 stars are not acceptable. I placed my order, brought it home and found missing items. I called and requested a credit on my card (that I used to pay for my order( and was told by the manager of the East Meadow store she had no way to give me a credit. Her register would not allow her to do it. Waiting to hear from the CEO about the fact that Friendlys is charging and taking your money but not giving you what you ordered. I understand everyone makes mistakes but I shouldnt literally have to pay for Friendlys error. Where I come from they call that stealing.
The food was good. The service was horrible! Went there for lunch with my some and his friend after a sporting competition to celebrate. Food plates sitting for ever after we were finished eating. Finally he came to clear them after I hunted him down. We asked to place ice cream orders he said I will be back in a few. Then 20 min later I had to ask another server to hunt him down. Then waited 20 more min while he cleaned every table and seated all new customers before he brought out the ice cream. I felt like I was there for hours. I asked the waiter Nicholas # 693054 If I did something to offend him to cause suck bad service and he said no. I just had a lot of Uber Eates orders to fill. Just and aggravating experience !

Good friendly diner feel. The staff is friendly and welcoming. They have a good variety of food for adults and children....the desserts are really good and easily shareable. The prices a very good. The seating is very comfortable. This establishment is very clean and well maintained. Has its own parking lot.

Bring back Chocolate Almond Chip Ice Cream within the restaurant for take out ice cream orders... Ive been a patron for Friendlys for more than 30 years and the best chocolate ice cream ever is their flavor Chocolate Almond Chip its especially fantastic in the Jim Dandy paired with Mint Chocolate Chip and Strawberry ice cream omg the combination is mind blowing with all the signature toppings The best sundae on the planet please bring back Chocolate Almond Chip its totally delicious BTW the service was good and I met an employee who also shared the love of Chocolate Almond Chip and she feels just as I do bring it back!!!!!!
Friendlys located on 1826 Heampstead Tnpk is not worth getting a pick up order. I can see the hostess was busy and waited. She kept avoiding me. After 1/2 hr, I told her that I was picking up my order. I paid via Grubhub. Told her my name. Waited another 1/2. Everyone else was being served. Another host said that he was waiting for food to be cooked and kept serving other people. An Asian lady was ahead of me and said that she was picking up an order. The same elderly hostess grabbed the food, threw it to the Asain lady and said look at the name to see if its yours. The Asian lady was not nasty at all and didnt deserve that treatment. After seeing that, I called Grubhub and canceled my order. Not sure whats going on at this Friendlys, but they are not friendly. Maybe they have an issue with people who have a disability or people of color. I wear a back brace and walk with a cane. Regardless, its not worth patronizing at this establishment. Do yourself a favor and avoid this restaurant.

Oh man was there for my daughters 9th birthday, she was so happy, loved her shrimp, Allison, our server was great, as friendly as the namesake. I promised her wed return. Look forward to it.
Staff was pleasant. Table and floors were clean. Unfortunately the food was just awful. I ordered the chicken noodle soup. It tasted like it had been reheated way too many times. Ended up not eating it. I would suggest just stopping in for the ice cream.
The last time I went was about 5 years ago for my nephews birthday. And that time there was roaches crawling under the tables. I swore never to go again because that was not the first time that I seen roaches crawling under those tables.I decided to again because my nieces love to go there and I was babysitting them. Well I tell you this place does not surprise me anymore. This time I went I did not see any roaches but man I would prefer the roaches over the stench of the carpet. The whole place is covered in carpet so I can tell by the smell that they do not wet vac that place. It smell like carpet mold was growing under the floor. Who and what idiot decided to installs carpet on the floor in a busy restaurant?Anyways I gave it 2 stars and it was not because of the food but because of the great customer service that was given to us. The waiter went above and beyond to take care of us.Conclusion I will probably go back in another 10 years to this place (if I am still alive), if it is still around. I Just want to see if maybe the robots that are suppose replace us humans will do a better job at taking care of this place.
Great burgers! Great ice cream and its my daughters favorite place.Service is a bit on the slow side. Waiters should check with guests more often.The place was empty and they still managed to be very slow.
Prices are pretty high for what you get, I ordered a lobster roll, it came with fries and Cole slaw, about $21. I dont know if it was supposed to be served cold or hot, some of the lobster was warm while some was apparently frozen, but it was tasty, a small portion of fries which were OK and about 6ozs of Cole slaw which was a decent size portion, would have been nice if it tasted good, I ended up serving it to a raccoon. I dont understand why most places have horrible cole slaw, when its made properly it tastes so good and its not that hard to make. MY MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT HERE WAS WATCHING THE GUY WHO WAS PREPARING PEOPLES ICE CREAM, HE WAS WEARING A MASK BUT IT WAS ON HIS CHIN not his nose, I KEPT THINKING HOW HORRIBLE IT WOULD BE IF HE SNEEZED WHILE SCOOPING ICE CREAM OUT OF THOSE TUBS, NEEDLESS TO SAY I DIDNT ORDER ANY.

Our waitress did the best job she could while other employees sat and watch her take care of 6 tables. No one cleaned her tables or helped with drinks or anything. Would not go back there. Took 2 hours for meals and ice cream for 4 people.

Friendlys has the best French toast ever.After many closings Im happy there are a few left in Long Island .
One of my familys go-to lunch spot after we attend church. Always arrive here around late noon and theres plenty of seats around.The latest on the menu they had was the Honey BBQ Chicken Supermelt and it absolutely craved my appetite.However, I noticed they reduced down the choices in their dessert menu. Thats unfortunate since they are known for their sundaes.The staff are always super friendly and tentative when you order.

I give my waiter a 100 Jose the Spanish guy !! Got my orders right . It was part of 10 ppl . Got my drinks on time food was what we order !! Really friendly with kids !! He came around the table and made sure we had everything we need !!! We felt like home ,they should have more people like him .excellent customers service ! Definitely will recommend this place

Honestly, the 1 star is generous! Ever since their renovation, the service at this location is lousy! My family & I are regulars & the service today was the absolute worst! We were ignored completely, waited forever for our food & desserts. When the desserts finally arrived, it was pathetic! I felt so bad for my kids. I will never spend a dime at this location again!
Friendlys is a good place to get a decent bite. customer service is okay, some waiters are rude though so watch out. i had the fish and chips and demolished it in 5 minutes so i recommend it!
Been going here for years. Waitstaff is usually very pleasant but all are extremely slow!!. Do not go unless you have extra time on your hands. Went tonight and was told computers were down so no body was being seated. The women who seats you tells my sister who is using a walker she is in the way and proceeds to push her out of the way. Needless to say we left and will never return.
Great for a treat! Horrible breakfast. Ice cream gets a 5 but the breakfast gets a 1. I asked the waitress about the western omelette she said I dont know no one ever orders that and gave a yuck face! I should have left then.

Food and service sucked!!!! Burger was a very slightly still frozen and it was supposed to be cooked. Long time ago, Friendlys used to be a good place to get something to eat. Only thing was good, was the Ice Cream, as always. Very disappointing experience indeed.

Friendlys--to me--has amazing food. This place is always clean, and the servers are very friendly. Its a very rare occasion that my order will be messed up, and also rare that the wait for food or a table will take a while--even when theyre busy, things seem to go pretty quickly. If I had to complain about ANYTHING, itd probably be how shoddy their napkins are, but they do have the dispenser on the table for you to grab yourself as many as you need, so..

I always have great service at Friendlys. They have recently changed the menu to different things but an important tip is to know that there is still a 2 for $20 option but they typically dont give it out to you because its not on the regular menu. If you ask your waiter or waitress they will give it to you, no questions asked. The food at this Friendlys is just like all the other ones, nothing to write home about but certainly not bad at all
Horrible experience! Waited almost 30 minutes. To get a Jim Dandy ice cream to go. On top of that I didnt get any chocolate syrup. The young ladies working in the kitchen area. Just ignored me standing at the counter. I guess thats why no one was standing there to order. They probably left because they were being ignored. Or constantly being told Ill help you in just a second. By 4 different people working there!!!
I hope they never close this restaurant. I was very sad when the replaced the levittown location with a bank. I LOVE MINI MOZZARELLA STICKS 😋🥰.
Went in just for my coffee fribble which I am very specific as to how I like it. Maureen, my waitress, not only treated me as though I was ordering the most expensive of meals but made me the most perfect, the most delicious of fribbles. Thanks, Maureen, you are wonderful!!!
Went there this Sunday after a movie, hardly any staff,to our dismay,and a line of customers . We thought we would be waiting forever to be seated.Little did we know Janet would save the day! This 70 year old powerhouse, bussed the tables, wiped tables down, seated customers, swept the floors and picked up high chairs! You need more staff on a Sunday afternoon. Thank God for Janet! She deserves employee of the year!

This is, by far, the worst Friendlys on Long Island.Came for dinner with my wife and kids on 4/12/18.The atmosphere of this restaurant plummeted to an all time low. Staff members clueless, lazy, unfriendly, and unintentive. Restaurant was not busy. We walked in around 5pm. Maybe five booths and two tables were occupied. There was a click of waitresses just BSing in the doorway of the kitchen where you can see them and vise versa. The whole time they were talking, we waited a good 7 minutes before someone said well be right with you. 5 minutes after that, we were seated. Mind you that there were 7 tables occupied.Waited another almost 15 minutes before being waited on. Until a waitress, Heather came to our rescue.Food was ok. Ice cream is always great!My one star goes to the lazy employees at this certain establishment. 10+ stars goes to our waitress Heather who went out of her way for us! She was well intentive! Above and beyond for her!!!
Staff was exactly what the name implies. Friendlys They were so friendly that they went and got a discounted voucher for my party and I. We didnt even ask for one. Quiet while still having that atmosphere of live upbeatness.
Was in this evening with 2 friends. I barely ate dinner, couldnt drink any of my iced tea and didnt stay to get iced cream. There were flying ants all over dropping into our drinks, all over the table, we killed more than 10 of them. We werent even offered a discount on what we couldnt drink or eat. Then as we were considering asking to be moved to another table away from the front door, the waitress said dont worry its being taken care of. An employee began spraying bug spray by the door. We could taste it! We decided to just leave, slipping on the big spray covering the floor, walls, door, and the ground outside! People at the next table left as well. Utterly disgusting in every way. I wont be back!
Love friendlys! Where else can u get a 22 oz. Strawberry fribble at lunch, share it with 2 family members and think its normal? The veggie burger never fails and the upgrade of fries to onion rings is brilliant! Brings out the kid in all of us.
Very slow! Understaffed. They absouluty got my order wrong along with other people at my table. Waited over 45 minutes for them to bring out a salad. Worse friendlys on long island. If you can go down to Baldwins instead.

I was there exclusively for dessert....their ice cream is excellent and the service fast and friendly. ...I recommend the banana split its big enough for two and if its your birthday the entire wait staff will sing for you
Service was awful.waited 40 minutes for our food bc of some kind of problem in the kitchen. Restaurant was only half full. App was hot,but soup and partners entree were cold. My entree was warm. Asked the server A few questions and was less than impressed with the answers. Hey,do u know how much longer until our food is ready? Server: idk man, I really dont know. The correct response should and always will be oh Im not sure,let me go check on that for you. Finally after complaing the server brings out my soup ND my partners sandwich,but they were both cold. Which the only reason why they wouild have been cold was because they were sitting out on the plate. My pasta entree was warm when it came out though. At the end of visit, the manager ended up taking the sandwich off of our check,but they didnt offer to heat up the sandwich we had or give us another one, or give us a hot cup of soup. At the end of the visit,the food was still good. And we eventually felt bad for the server because clearly he was having a hard time. But, I will not be returning back to this friendlys ever again . Please teach your waitstaff how to do their job and how to have some manners and how to talk to customers. I know its only A friendlys,but you should always strive for good customer service.

Horrible customer service. Waited for 10 minutes even though it was fairly empty. Another family walked in 5 mins after I got there and they sat them right away. When I asked the manager all she did was talk to me with a nasty attitude saying “what do you want me to do? It’s busy”. Maybe it was better this way because in the end I went to eat at Pete’s Clam Bar
The young man who seated us today needs training on how to greet customers and make them feel welcomed. Wasnt feeling the vibe, left immediately.
Its not cheap or the highest quality but you know what youre getting with friendlies its a nice atmosphere and Im glad we have one around
Jose Is a great waiter every time I go in with family he give us the best service. I’ve been going there for about two years!! Every time he give us the right information brings everything we need and also make us feel like home .I really recommend him as a waiter if you ever go to friendly look for Jose thank you Mr.jose for your service .

This place is very child friendly, and very cool, but when there is something wrong outside, they dont go look. There was something burning next to my car and we tried to get somwone to help stop the fire, only for them tk get their manager which they never did and left us with the burning ground. After a while we got a water bottle and poured water on it and left. We tried to tell them. We dont know if we fully stopped the burning, but it was terrible that they didnt do anything about it. Thats why its 3 stars. For lying, and for safety hazards on their property
My daughter loves this place and she is the pickiest eater Ive ever known so just being able to get her to eat here makes it good enough for me.....oh and by the way for anyone thinking that its all about the ice cream my daughter doesnt even eat it soooooo the food must be what keeps her coming back!!
Me and my wife have been planning to stop for dinner here for a while but the empty place kept scaring us away. the other night we noticed it was a little full so we stopped in but quickly realized there were 4 bdays going on, regardless we ordered and the food sucked, my wife liked it tho. the ice cream was ok but the service was terrible...i told the waitress no cheese on my salad and it comes with cheese, when i pointed it out she was like oh no thats shredded carrots!!! umm no lady thats CHEESE. dont bother going here dq is way better.

Our server robb was one of the best weve have had in a long time. He was polite, accommodating, and did every thing he could to make our weekly night out a pleasure. On behalf of our family, thank you robb.
Jose was helpful, very honest about the size of the portion on the special. When the fries were extra crispy and we wanted softer fries, they were replaced graciously. Glad to have a cheaper choice for a smaller budget.

Place has gone down hill over the years. No hostess / No fountain worker, 2 of the wait staff have too do it all. And when your their with little kids . You dont want too wait 30 mins for each round of food. Menu has limited options. Their trying too cut corners everyway possible.
Hit or miss with the service, the same goes for staffing, it is mg local friendlys and i have been there only 3 times this year and every time something wasnt so great, first time the waiter was sick and kept sneezing over us, second time there was lipstick on the coffee cup from previous customer, and my last time it smelled so humid to the point i couldnt tell if it was the ac vent, the bathrooms or the rug
Slow service. A gentleman that entered after me left with his take out ice cream before me. My reeses peanut butter cup, had zero peanut putter topping, zero hot fudge! Such a disappointment.

We just went into the Friendlys on Hempstead Tpke. in East Meadow. Waited for about 5 minutes to be helped. The place is not even busy and not even one person from the staff looked in our direction to ask if we need help or to even say that they would be right with us. Used to love Friendlys when I was a child. If they wonder why these businesses are closing up all around, take a look at the staff and how unprofessional they are and you will see why. Will never be going there again.

I didnt really remember WHY i stop going to friendlys for over 2 years(and the only reason i went coz my son ask for it)i went there WITH my 2 babys and my teen son and have the WORST CS u can ever get in a rest and specially went u hungry! 3 other tables came after me and was serve AND i was still waiting for my Coffee to arrived -__-. all those tables was Already eating and my family waiting to been serve.then i realize i was the same waitress from 2 years ago😭😭😭.so if you hungry make sure you dont go to east meadow one coz they make you make a while.
I use to go to the one in Mineola.They closed.This one was fantastic.
Took 30mins to make 2 sundaes on the take out line. Then the bag was completely dirty. Ps. I asked for a peanut butter ice cream shake, could not be done
Clean restaurant, Our server was Sweet, and thoughtful. I had the New England fish and chips, it was pretty good. Nice for A family outting. Will return.
I went to this location to celebrate my daughters birthday and the food was tasty and customer service was great. I even tip the Waiter $20 since he was so attentive to to us. I highly recommend this location.

Used to like this place due to its fast service, since recently I dread to go ,yes its a bit busy in east meadow since levittown store is shut, but still,need to speed the take out counter, make an order and expect 25- 40 mins wait which used to be max 10mins before, I hope the management seriously look into the issue, apart from this its still a great place.
First of all the waitress was great! The food was delicious. I think the food was better than ever! Not only did I enjoy the food my Mother loved the food also.
Ants... they sat us at a table that had dozens of ants..The manager was very polite after we pointed out the ants, but there were still ants on the seats and then they started to make their way to the table

I placed an online order that said would be ready at 6:18. I got to the location a few minutes early to pay and ended up waiting for 25 minutes for my to be ready. Then, I get home to find out Im missing 1 of my six ice creams and two of the six are incorrect. They literally got 50% of my order right.

The East Meadow Friendlys has recently been renovated and has an old fashioned retro look. Very nice. But they have got to step up their service. Not good.
Food was alright me and my wife go for breakfast only 1 old server she have many tables she cant managed everything at same time we ask for side cup she make a face she brings the cup then no straw we ask for to go bags they dont have any we took our boxes in our hand

People are extremely friendly, and sweet. Service was a problem though. It took them about 15 minutes to bring out one cup of Ice Cream.
The interior was well designed. I was able to pick up my order quickly. And get in and out effortlessly.

Really well executed.The Turkey dinner was overly salty however, not nicely plated and corn as only vegetable is ridiculous when it is not wartime...The delicious icecream sundae made things right however.Service was friendly.

2022-07-10Truly wonderful service ❤️ and we were a large group for a kids birthday dinner, which isnt easy. The ice cream and fribbles were as delicious as always. And the m&m pancakes are my sons favorite (although, they arent doing breakfast all day anymore, so check before you go if youre going for pancakes)

2022-06-16Wow, so sad that the staff (at least 2) work so hard seating, serving and even in the kitchen. Left without the ice cream order since it just took so long. I cant imagine that they cant hire more help. Way too long of a wait and so many others here were waiting long too. We wont be back. Wish I read the other reviews before wasting so much time there. Food was good (not great) not worth the wait.

2020-09-12This Friendlys often has good lunch specials. I appreciate the easy parking situation and the location. Its a good spot to quickly get some burgers and fries. Their home-fried potatos are good but you can tell they were frozen so minus 5 points for not having fresh potatoes. Their french fries are thick and pretty tasty so that makes up for the potatoes. The burger is actually pretty good I ordered the bacon double cheese burger. I liked it a lot. My friend got a bacon, egg and cheese and he said its his go to Friendlys choice. Overall i give this Friendlys a 3.5 out of 5. They didnt do anything wrong but its not meant to be a 5 star experience. I would go back but I wouldnt go out of my way to get there.

There was no sign saying wait to be seated I was just not sure...anyway food was OK my daughters worms in dirt sundae added the extra star .Our server was friendly . would go back
