The ONLY place I go every year for my Halloween Attractions and get my scream on! If you can make the trek its totally worth it! Theres a new attraction this year so now there are four attractions to drive out there for! Even with the downpour rain I didnt want to be anywhere else. The actors care about what they do and go out of their way to keep character. Ask the actor here that was scaring me all night! Haha! Keep up the great work everyone we love coming out well see you next year!
Great experience. The crowd haunters were amazing, extremely committed. Everyone was respectful of boundaries while still doing their jobs. Alot of security around so I felt safe enough. Everyone was really interactive and helpful. Great experience I even got a free monster on the way out!!
This was a great event! The haunted houses were really good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We bought the front of the line passes in addition to the 4 house ticket. It was definitely worth the extra money. We never waited more than 5 minutes to get into a house. The concession prices were very reasonable.
Only went on hayride that was great. Wish it was handicap accessible since my dad had a hard time walking but staff was nice and allowed him to wait at the back while I pulled car around. Inside was manageable just the entrance down in was harsh on him. But had a great time would definitely come back if they have a handicap parking area near inside. Food and drink was great also.
We had an amazing time once inside the park - the actors were great, and the people working inside the park were helpful and showed us where to go next. But the parking staff were very rude. Probably won’t be coming back here again because of them, which is a shame because this is the one haunted house I actually really enjoyed.
Very fun last night 10/15/21. Im glad the rain held off for awhile. They have the condemned mine trail, the twisted labyrinth, the haunted estate and the haunted hay ride. We went to all four attractions. Very fun. The haunted hay ride wasnt lit well enough so we couldnt really see much. But out wagon coach was very funny. Come on down and have fun with the family.
Off the beaten path ✓Out in the middle of the woods ✓Filled with the Halloween spirit ✓Frightmare farms is the best haunted house Ive been to in a long time. Its not commercialized so you wont see Jason or Freddy, but it is 100% original with great actors and an awesome storyline. They offer multiple attractions that are all so good its hard to pick a favorite. I come back every year to see what new scares they have in store. I always bring a few extra friends to show them how much fun it really is.
We made it through all 4 attractions in less than 2 hours. Our guide on the hayride was quite entertaining. We took a wrong turn in the Labyrinth, ending up outside, and the character kindly showed us the right path, along with chillingly alarming us that we had not gone the Right way 🤣 Great performances by all! Thank you for a fun evening!
Have had a great time coming to this place for years! Actors have always been committed. However, tonight was way to many people. Had to park a half mile away. Actors were rushed and just trying to get you through the attraction. Hay ride was jammed. Very disappointed especially for paying $150 for 2 people vip pass. They just want money now. They are sellouts.
This was by far one of the best places I’ve gone. The effort put into everything truly showed and it was such a fun time I bought tickets for two attractions and I wish I got all four the only thing I want people to know is they make sure they last thing you do is the hayride to make sure you’ve seen everything else just because that line for that is longer but they can’t help that you go at the pace of the ride. AND IT WAS WORTH EVERY MINUTE!!!
Huge thank you to the super professional and fun staff! I took my boys with some friends on a Friday night, it was a drizzly misty perfect October night. This was my youngest’s first haunted house. He did pretty good, a couple of jump scares got him especially the last one in the labyrinth. He decided to leave me behind and ran out. The staff saw his mad dash, and asked how he was doing. They gave him a squishy grub named “soup” and a “magic candle” that keeps the monsters away, then an Igor character immediately saw him with the light and ran away from him. He laughed and really enjoyed the hay ride next with his candle in his pocket. He slept with that candle and when he got up in the morning he said “no nightmares for me, the candle kept me safe” Thank you for letting him have some scary Halloween fun and helping bring the stress back down afterwards. Great time for us all! We’ll be back next year!
You shouldn’t miss this Halloween hotspot!! The production value and artistic team are next level, (it’s like walking Into your own private horror movie!), the actors are top notch professionals, the staff and security team provide unparalleled customer service and the atmosphere is delightfully creepy in the best way. The lines do get long but for a GOOD REASON: it’s amazing and totally worth the wait!!
This was such an amazing experience. In all honesty, everything was amazing. the hayride did seem a bit less scary then I anticipated HOWEVER the wagon rider we had (madame scarlette?) did such a wonderful job of keeping the ride lively. (deadly?) Professor Shearth was SO amazing and I loved Delores. I loved everyone. the houses were so intricate! so beautifully done.the amazing work that went into some of those scenes. I cant WAIT to be able to go back.
Very great setup here! I always love a haunt that is in the woods and secluded from busy areas. The houses were setup nicely, everyone was proffesional, and the expereince was great as a whole. The only thing I would critique was the hay ride. It is shorter than what staff had said to me. You also sit up in the wagon, where it would be better if guests sat on the edge with their feet dingling. also there were props that went off once the wagon passed, maybe it would be better if the tractor stopped at certain points to give the proprs time to react and give the actors a chance to really interact with the crowd. I definetley reccomend coming here and trying it out! One of the top haunts I have been too in CNY.
Labyrinth was great! The hayride was ehh (our guide was really funny though). These guys have great theming, amazing props with a great story line. The atmosphere in the main areas is fun and exciting, I love walking around here, big campfire, snacks/food, movie.I find they lack in jump scares, and have longer lines then the other houses in CNY. Still a must visit!
I honestly have never asked for my money back from any business in my entire life but in my opinion 2020 frightmare farms was unacceptable. So in 2020 they moved away from their 3 line system in two uniquely bad ways. First, you now can only buy one ticket and go to all three attractions instead of being able to buy individual attractions. If you are paying for a family this ends up being a lot of money. Secondly they had ONE giant line instead of three separate lines because of Covid which makes absolutely no sense. Their arrangements made people significantly closer together than their original layout of three separate lines. We waited in the cold for an hour and a half before getting to the front of what we though was the first attraction but was actually ANOTHER LINE. The employee said that she thought the line we were entering would take an additional 45 minutes. Then there are lines in-between the last two attractions as well. Waiting over two hours to walk through a three minute haunted house is just outrageous. If they had kept their old system they could have cut down the line time dramatically while making it both cheaper and SAFER for guests. After an hour and a half I requested a refund. A female manager was incredibly rude and can condescending and played the this is how I feed my kids card and refused a refund. Yeah lady I also have bills and just waisted $80 to stand in like for two hours.
5 stars to the walkthrough attractions! They had great actors, set ups, and effects. This is the best haunt I’ve been to and the scariest. The hayride could’ve had more actors and better scenes. I would’ve liked to see them get on the ride as well. Social distancing was enforced well. I encountered two employees that were very rude to my group and few others as well, but it didn’t ruin my experience. I would recommend to anyone and I will definitely be back next year. The only downfall was the lines. The wait was hours for the walkthrough attractions.
The best haunted house experience I ever had! I wasnt expecting it to be like an actual event with fire pits, a movie on a projector playing and food. The apple fritter stand is amazing an a must try. But the houses were so good! I saw someone review it wasnt worth $30, I think it was worth every penny. Obviously some houses were better than others, but every one had their own theme and the actors are incredible. This place isnt like a normal haunted house where you just walk through and are done, the whole time feels like an experience. There was an actor that followed me out of one of the houses and it scared me to death! Even when I was veering the wrong way once or twice they stayed in character and pointed or led me the right way. Cant wait to go back next year and see what changes. Thanks for a spooky filled night!
After having a great experience at the Trail of Terror, we decided to hit up this place to keep the night going.Too much people management. I get it.. covid and all, but wow. Felt like we paid $30 per person to just get told what to do like children for an hour. We were told confusing directions to the features. After being directed to go through the god forsaken mile-long overflow line that spits you out into nowhere and finally finding the features, the person sends us down the wrong path since the entrance to both is in the same location. We didnt find the 3 houses very scary: for example the chainsaw guy just comes out and revs the engine and goes back to the hole he came out of. There was even an electric plug-in chainsaw (just run away, hell run out of cord eventually!) Many rooms were too dark to see or had nothing in just a staged room.Expected to do all of it for the $30 but apparently the hayride is an extra $17 and we had no idea, so it ended up being just one more confusing thing we experienced. (Almost $50 per person to see all of it is a ton for this!)Left an extra star for the guys at the end of the second house and the one-legged guy (they were pretty cool and did a great job!)Overall, we had a pretty awful time. But glad to see others are finding a good experience here!
I went there last night with friends to celebrate a friend’s birthday and we rented the RIP pavilion. They did an amazing job hosting us and making sure we were taken care of through every attraction. The haunted houses were the best I’ve ever seen and the haunted hayride was amazing! Such a great place! Would recommend that anyone; looking for a scream of a time, check it out! Also, they took great precautions for social distancing, mask requirements and sanitization to make sure that none need fear COVID-19 while getting scared to death. 😱
We got the RIP section for our group of 30. It was well worth the cost to have your own private area, bring food/drinks, campfire and have a haunt host bring your through the haunted houses. Liz, our haunt host, was very accommodating and patient with us. Thanks so much !!
Last night my family and I went to Frightmare Farms hoping to have a good time like we’ve experienced in the past. Unfortunately it was a highly disappointing visit. To start off I pre-ordered tickets online and made reservations for 8:30, even though I pre-ordered tickets and had a reservation time, we still had to wait in line, which we were okay with until we were in line for over two and a half hours!! We had arrived at Frightmare Farms at 8:30 and were still standing in line at 10:30 even though we had reservations which was very strange. There was absolutely no social distancing, they had everyone bunched together and some people weren’t even wearing masks. There was hundreds of people crowding together. My family and I were so cold and bored after waiting hours just to enter the first haunted house, I left the line to ask for a refund because we had reservations yet we were still waiting. The gave us VIP tickets and we still had to wait a little longer but it wasn’t too bad. The haunted houses were so boring, I didn’t even scream once. I’m not sure if it was bad because of covid but I would recommend staying home this year and saving your money!
This place is great! The scare actors do an amazing job. Ive been to a lot of haunted houses (including Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando and Hollywood) but Ive never been as scared as I was at this place. Not usually a screamer but the actors really killed it! The props were great too. Cant wait to go back next year!
Great attraction even with covid going on. We did all 3 attractions, which have changed since the last time we went, so its great they changed things up. They did a great job keeping everyone distanced. The actors were amazing! I screamed a lot, and fell into the wall haha. 10/10 recommend.
If you love paying exorbitant amounts of money to stand in line, this is the place for you!!!On a recent trip, my evening started with a full hours wait in line for parking. Once that was done it was another hour 15-30 for tickets. They have a wonderful you have to buy tickets to everything or you cant get tickets to anything business model this year, but the everything ticket isnt actually for everything and youll end up paying more than the advertised everything price.Once that was all done it was time to wait in line for the attractions. Luckily, this was a fast moving line and only took about 40 minutes. When I reached the end an attendant directed me over to, you guessed it, another line!!After many hours, I finally got to their haunted house. Frightmare Farms prides itself on its treatment of people with sensory issues. So some people are given small electric candles or light up lanyards to wear. This lets employees know to just cancel everything. So if you make your way through the lines and happen to be anywhere near a person with one of these lights, the haunted house becomes nothing more than a walk through a dark barn. The scariest aspect is the uneven ground covered in wet leaves and rocks. I nearly fell several times and even rolled an ankle on a rock about the size of a football that was in the middle of the path.If any of this sounds like fun, Frightmare Farms is definitely the place for you. You might also be interested in walking laps around my shed for a couple hours around midnight. Only $50!!!!Hayride was ok. Definitely not the best, but I have seen worse.EDIT: owner responded to blame rona for the lines, but did not address any of the other complaints.
It was amazing!!! We go to haunted houses every year. We have been to all of them from here to an hour out in all directions. Hands down the scariest of all of them!! We had a great time, even the people that said they werent gona scream got scared more than once! Great Job thank you for the awesome scares!!
I don’t think it’s worth $30 for all 3 attractions. The best one was the haunted house, the other 2 weren’t that great. Most of the staff were friendly, 1 of them not so much. Was given an attitude by one of the actors in an acting voice that I was going the wrong way so I couldn’t tell if she was being serious or not, she should have politely told us in her normal voice we were going the wrong way and which way to go instead of being rude telling us to get out. Maybe if their were better ways to tell which way to go we wouldn’t have gotten lost and ended up in the wrong direction.
Great atmosphere, excellent professionals. Alone, in the deep dark scary unknown lies your biggest fears and mysteries as the unknown slowly reveals itself to an eternal enigma wrapped in a riddle, solved only by the desolate few, who perish shortly afterwards to join in the madness
This place is awesome. Worth every penny. You can tell the owners put so much time and money into making this place one of THE BEST haunts to go to around Syracuse. They added a hayride which was amazing. Like back in the days where you sit on the floor of the wagon and hay is just tossed around for some comfort. Once we got i, knew this was going to be awesome, and they delivered. They handle the guidelines for Covid-19 to the fullest. This park doesnt short you on anything. Its in the middle of woods, creepy, fun and their employees are extremely nice. We have been going here for many years and this place never disappoints, always gets better every year. I can only imagine what knew they can do to that hayride. Great job this year guys. This place is awesome. We all had a blast. My only complaint, which isnt a complaint, is the very extremely nice lady tonight who was running the hot cocoa and apple stand...she was all by herself. Line was extremely long because she was doing it all on her own. She was having to peel the apples, batter, fry, make hot cocoa, take money, and serve ppl all on her own. She handled it like a boss and was extremely nice, but the line was long and she kept apologizing to ppl for the wait. She def needed an extra hand. But the apples and hot cocoa is always worth the wait. I noticed that they had a few sponsors this year...being a small business owner myself, my business would love to help sponsor next year. Especially since this is our fav haunt. Thanks again guys, see you next year.
This is likely the scariest haunted house/trail around. I highly recommend going here is you are going to a trail this year. If you only do one The first one is the best. That atmosphere is great there and they have a couple really good photo areas. The only downside is the last trail, I think the mine, needs some work (that is why 4 instead of 5 stars). A few animatronic jump scares at the right spots would really make it better.
Personally I dont get scared easily. This place did not scare me. There was several people there and I felt as if lines were being rushed. Every attraction we entered we ended up catching up to the group in front of us so they ended up getting the majority of the attention. I also think its scarier when they can touch you. Waivers do the trick. Not everyone wants it to be that extreme so it could be optional. You could do different levels. Easy for kids, medium for adults who like to be scared but not touched and extreme for adults who want to be touched and be extra scared. Each level could be higher priced. The actors could wear walkie talkie so they know which level group is entering.
Love Frightmare Farms! Every year is somehow better and better! I especially want to commend Frightmare farms this year for taking the safety of everyone into consideration because of covid! We come to Frightmare every year, and they still managed to give a great show despite all of the changes that had to be done.Customer service was always polite and very informative, and we also anticipated waiting longer because of covid! It was a great show and we loved the hayride and well definitely be back next year!
This was our second time to Frightmare Farms in Palermo and guess what?… It was amazing again! The parking staff is always super friendly and helpful as soon as you arrive. There is always lit torches at the ends of the road that immediately sets the mood for scary night. As you approach the attractions, you start to really get in the spirit with echoing screams, chainsaws, and wandering characters. Specifically, there is a clown that likes to follow you and you work your way to the ticket line. The staff at the box office and beginning of each attraction will help you figure out which attraction to start with we went with Haunted House to Labyrinth to Miners Trail. The characters never break character and creatively hide throughout all attractions even following you throughout. So if you think you’re past the scary part, you’re probably very wrong! You will not be disappointed, Frightmare Farms is worth every dime and they only get better year after year!
A MUST VISIT ATTRACTION~We’ve been coming back to frightmare farms year after year. The atmosphere is top-notch from the moment you walk on the property. It’s apparent that management puts a lot of time and effort into the attractions, everything aligns flawlessly while inside the haunted houses. The entire staff works cohesively, from the box office to the final monster. You’d think attending over 3 years, a person may be desensitized to the scares, but each season they add more to the experience to maximize thrill. Frightening even for adults!
I was a patron at one point and that fueled me to join this amazing attraction. Fours years in and Im still loving it, and I absolutely love seeing how our patrons enjoy it! Personally I dont mind coming on here and giving my own a good review because, patrons, youll never guess who any of us are once were in character, except for a few friends and family. Even to some of whom were discreet towards. Either way, its an amazing put on with tons of effort. I highly encourage you to come and face your fears every October or, if youre feeling like you need something more...come and join our family of ghouls!WE WILL SCARE YOU SEE SOON!
Frightmare Farms has changed it up in a good way. Last year it was so small and scary I couldnt wait to go again. When I got there I noticed right away that they had changed it up and took on the appearance of a larger Haunt attraction and I was nervous. However they did not disappoint actors where on point and stayed in character the whole time. The attractions where fun a spooky but too bad they implemented a lantern system as well where if you had a group that didnt want to get to scared they would give you a lantern to hold so the actors knew to back off. I thought this was a great way to expand their audience. Not a bad price either and the food offered there was pretty good and for a good price as well. Overall I was only disappointed in the semi long lines(~about 10-15mins per attraction).
My sorority had an event at Frightmare Farms, and we had a wonderful time. The director, Nicole, was an absolute joy to work with- she really ensured that this event was a success. Everyone in attendance was impressed with the venue, the actors, and the wide array of attractions. I would highly recommend Frightmare Farms for a spooky October outing or a fun event with friends!-Darcie Alpha Phi
First time to a haunted house and I had an absolute BLAST! Loved the free movie that was playing! All the actors were awesome! The psycho clown, The Ring girl (lol), the zombie, THE HEADLESS HORSEMAN!Admission for 3 Attractions: $25Food & Drink: $15Travel Distance: 25 minutes, 22 milesLearning that my coping mechanism for being scared is laughing: Priceless
If you want the thrill of being scared out of your mind then this is the place for you. This is not an ordinary everyday haunted house and haunted path, the great aesthetics and staff put on a lively production that is the perfect thrill for Halloween time and by far surpasses and of the other haunted houses that Ive been to in the area, this is highly recommend

2021-10-10We went on Saturday night. Paid for 2 attractions. We first went through the haunted mine. This was a great! Then we went into the line for the haunted hay ride. 90 minutes later we finally made it on the ride. The tractor blew through the path like they were driving on rt 49. The M.C. on the ride could barely announce what part of the course we were om they were going so fast. Wish I knew they were gonna do that I would have chosen a different attraction.

2021-10-24Drove an hour and a half to go with my friends... TOTALLY WORTH IT!! Ive been to my fair share of haunted house attractions... This was probably the best one Ive ever been to. Im not a big screamer and they had pulled of the art of the scare so well that I was scooting past props screaming. Actors and staff were wonderful. We had SUCH a great time.

2021-10-05Very very very busy on a Saturday night but well worth it. I suggest you arrive early. Not only do they have the haunted attractions but they also sell food and have an are to eat and watch scary movies on a big screen. I highly recommend the apple dumplings and the pulled pork!

2021-06-19I went with a group of friends and had a great time! I loved the theme, that a group of teenager went to explore a haunted house, but they disappeared and only one of them stayed behind to ask for help.. right out of an 80s summer horror movie lolThe scares were good, not super intense but the actors seemed to know exactly where to pop out and made great use of subtlety, creepiness, spookiness and in some cases a little gross out.The setting was awesome! Props, decorations and atmosphere were done perfectly. The makeup on the actors was HUGE. It was literally like something out of a movie. All in all, I can’t wait for more events.. I’ll definitely be back.

2020-02-26A must see CNY haunt, offering multiple attractions and a quick distance from Interstate-81. Fright mare Farms has improved its crowd management and offers free picture spots to entertain you between haunts. Bathrooms and food vending are also on site, along with ample parking. They offer VIP “skip the line” upgrades, but I have yet to be there when the crowd warranted it. Looking forward to seeing what they have in store for future seasons.

2020-10-18This place was amazing, we had so much fun, I screamed no less than 20 times, once they got me so bad I inhaled so hard it took my breath away. My niece and son had so much fun too. They said it was the best haunted house ever. I have been to Universals haunted night and believe it or not this was better!!! It was well worth the money and well worth the drive.

2018-11-03This place by far is the best Halloween attraction in cny. Although the horse was being stubborn and left the headless horseman to walk they never fail at providing a super awesome environment. Each year the house is changed so there is always something new. The actors are always in character and I cant wait for their escape rooms. The zombie one was the most amazing room I have ever been to. Even the cast gets in on pics

2021-10-30The scares were great this year. We bought VIP passes and they were worth it. The lines this year were very long. The attractions were the best that they have ever been. We go every year and they seem to get better every year. I jumped at the scares more than once and that is hard to make me do, as I dont scare easily. Way to go, Frightmare Farms! Thank you for a great time!

2021-11-02Took my 14 yr old daughter day before Halloween very crowded Long wait times but for $65 you can skip the line. There are 4 different attractions they have package deals all 4 for $40 is the best deal. The employees definitely played the parts well, unfortunately NOTHING scares me but my daughter was screaming and cutting the circulation off to my arm and hand so scared her pretty good. Cant wait to take my boys when they get a bit older

2021-10-17Absolutely worth the money! Got there at 7 and just now heading home. We paid 40 each for all four attractions and it was well worth it. Bring cash, it’s cheaper. Haunted hayride was awesome, not nearly as scary as the other three. . But still worth it. I’d go back - even the photo ops were awesome and the food/cost.
