The tellers send people in the houses to fast so actors dont have time to re-hide to scare the next group. They always do an awesome job decorating the houses inside and out. The houses were alot shorter than I remembered and they had no air props kinda boring. Best part was the one chainsaw they had. Hoping it will be better in 2022!!
For my first time I had a blast and was scared ty !!!!!!!!!!Edit is it halloween time? Jk 😜 but I did have such a great time Im already excited to go back . For true halloween lovers. ( bc its all year round for those who love horror.) ( includes me ) HAPPY HALLOWEEN YALL IM so beyond excited to go back this year for my second time. Whoop whoooop
First time doing this and it was a great experience. I definitely recommend the VIP tickets if you don’t like to wait in lines for long. It was very crowded and lines were really long, not sure how long the wait typically is for busy nights but with the VIP tickets we were able to get into each house immediately. Only taking away one star because at one house there seemed to be a shortage of actors (maybe because it was close to closing time) so the last house did not have many scares. Overall it was a super fun date night idea! Looking forward to going back for the lights out event!
I wish I could have given this more stars. I had a great time in the houses. A very fun experience. However, the treatment I received from the staff was unacceptable, and ruined the experience from me. One staff member in particular, named Heather had told my group and I that we had be out of the premise within two minutes even though we had bought food and were still eating it. She was very rude to everyone not just me and my group. I wish I didn’t have to write this review however the staff needs better training to not treat the customers like what I had experienced. Do better.
So much fun! Bought the skip the line pass and it was well worth it on Friday the 13th. Took about an hour to get through the 5 houses. Super scary and fun. Only downfall was in one of the houses where they let through too many groups too close together so all spooks were lost. Very fun and scary time though!
Coming on down on Saturday with a group of 10 from Rochester, can’t wait as it is a birthday surprise for my nephews birthday. Hope if we get there early around 5pm with our VIP passes we’ll miss the large busy crowds of people I’m reading about.. so excited, will follow up after my visit.
I attended Little Frights with Lights and thought they did a great job with the candy stations and staggering the groups going into the haunted houses. The actors at the photo stations were phenomenal. The event did not begin to let people in until 15 minutes after the posted start time, and the line was pretty backed up at that point. The temporary tattoo and balloon animal stations were fun surprises.
Prepare to be scared! I was in town from Pittsburgh and decided to give this a try - I was literally scared out of my mind. The sets of each exhibit are insanely detailed, the actors are fantastic. The Eeriepalooza was my favorite - the actors managed to make us laugh and genuinely scare us.My only complaint is with the asylum exhibit, as some of the rooms were a bit empty and we spent a small portion of the exhibit encountering no one, but it didnt ruin our trip as the sets were so nice. I cant wait to go next year!
I had an amazing time ❤️My boyfriend , my friend and I went for the first time yesterday and were from Rochester. I’m telling ya it was worth the trip. Rochesters haunted attractions suck compared to this was. I was actually scared , my adrenaline was pumping GREAT EXPERIENCE
Scared several times in each house! Well worth the time and money. VIP passes were definitely worth the extra. Extremely busy tonight but hardly any time spent waiting. And watching people running out of eeriepalooza with a guy chasing them weilding a chainsaw is great! One thing they could use is a photo booth of some sorts. I would have loved a group photo.
Lived up to the hype and reputation. Was more in awe of the attention to detail in the set designs than anything else. Night Stalkers definitely gave me the biggest “fright” of the night. Was also definitely worth paying extra for the VIP pass to skip the lines. 10/10
Omg! can i just say this place is the real deal, not only was it insanely scary but it was so well ran for how busy it was. staff was amazing and super helpful. actors had great energy and scares even though i’m sure they were exhausted scaring all night! my group purchased regular tickets and upgraded to skip the lines. totally worth it! cannot say enough good things. we will be back for lights out! 😱
Ive been to cheesey places that charged 8$ a person and was way better. It was in like a shopping mall not festive at all. I felt like I was in a dance club more then anything not to mention the food prices were insane. I was very disappointed and it was not scary what so ever. Still cant believe we payed 35 dollars a ticket and the vending machines didnt even work. It sucked bad. Then u stood in line forever just to walk thru an attraction that took like a minute or 2 too walk thru. Ive been to many but I brought a few people that never been to a haunted house and they probably wont ever go to another👎👎👎👎👎
Great haunted houses! We have been visiting Frightworld every year from Rochester, about an hour away. I do wish the timing between groups through the attractions was spaced out a bit more...some groups get hung up inside and then hold everyone else up. It also seemed as though there was a lot more chaos in the open areas. Kids running around, shoving into people. Maybe more security/effective security would help. Overall still one of my favorite things to do every season!
Five different attractions to visit each different then the last. Security at the door and crowd gathers on Saturday evening at 6:30 PM but opened until midnight. Cash only establishment. Food and drinks are for sale and plenty of restrooms inside and out. Fun to visit a least once in a your lifetime.
The staff was friendly BUT...Not worth the moneyNot scaryBasically paid $210 (there were 6 of us) to walk in 5 dark rooms...very cheesy...very disappointedWe stood in line longer than it took to walk thru an attractionWe will never go backAnd $6 for a coke and a slice of pizza is ridiculous not to mention the trash that was on the floorThe vending machines were brokenThe bathrooms were scarier than the attractions...they were gross 🤢The actors on the outside of the attractions who take photos with people were cool though so theres that but all in all not worth it...so glad we didnt pay extra for the VIP passes👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎😤🤬
Same thing every year! Sorry but they need to change it up a lot! It’s Not like your not getting money!! Like switch stuff up, I went their Saturday 10/16/21 and I literally walked in oh someone’s gonna pop out and pointed out EVERY place people would jump out. I walked threw it with out being scared! If I pay $35 I want to be terrified the age limit to 12 is ridiculous because my 8 year daughter wouldn’t even be aftaid! Please change the houses next year. ALL 5! Like Michael Myers has a new movie and you could’ve done something with that! Like was a waste of money and my night.
The new location is horrible. people were running, pushing, jumping lines and security did nothing! fights were breaking out. we could take any pictures with the props because people were just sitting there. weve been coming to fright world every year but will not return!
Really ride staff and they weren’t helpful.everytime you went to ask them a question, they would cut you off halfway and not even answer your question because they didnt bother to listen. The houses are fun, but they have been the same for 3 years and grt boring, they need new stuff.
Just went tonight for the first time and had an awesome time!!! The actors are really really great...they know how to scary you just enough without over doing it. Was very impressed!! DEFINITELY GET THE FAST PASS ITS ONLY $12 AND SOOOO WORTH NOT WAITING IN THE LINES!!!! Great time!!
My friends & I were there last night. We loved it! Your actors were awesome. You could really see that they love their jobs. Grindhouse had to be my favorite of all. That one even got our last hold out on screaming to let a couple out 🤣 I definitely will be back again.
Checked this place out on a whim while visiting family in the area and had an awesome time! Scared me better than any other haunted house that I’ve been to. I’ve been to some other places like this back home and nothing even comes close. My little brother loved the Area 51 room. Would come back if I’m ever in the area again.
This place is fantastic. We drove up from Rochester to check it out after hearing good things - Ive been meaning to go for years.Definitely get the 5-house pass and get there before it opens, the lines are insane. Extremely well put together and good jump scares, but not over the top. Very creative decorations and well worth the trip and money.
We’re on a haunted house tour across the eastern U.S. and had heard many good things about Frightworld in Buffalo so we drove way out of our way to experience it. Wow! It definitely lived up to our expectations and we’re SO glad we went! Sets were awesome, actors were very good (and EVERYWHERE!). Very scary and creepy atmosphere throughout the whole venue (and that’s great). All of the haunts were really good, with my favorite (for intense scariness) being Erie State Asylum. It was over the top scary! Also loved the totally unique Eriepalooza haunt - very clever and never seen a haunt like it. Don’t miss these haunted houses - you’re gonna love them!!
Second year coming here. My fiance and I go to about 5 haunted houses a year. Decided to go to this one again this year, despite having to drive an hour from the East side of Rochester. Very original ideas here. Great actors. Itll take a few hours to go through. (Including line wait). Next door to a very large and great Asian market.
This past halloween was the first time ive ever been to this place. Went with my wife and a few friends and did 3 houses out of the 5. I did area 51, some festival one and one of the original ones. I had a good time. Granted it didnt scare me which i was hoping it would but the workers do a very good job at scaring people and playing the part. Went to the pumpkin area afterwards and smashed a pumpkin. It was a blast
Terrifying and fun! We took a bus trip to Frightworld and we were treated like royalty. The five haunted attractions were all executed very well and everyone on the trip had positive feedback. We were impressed by the fact that once you entered each house you did not hear any of the loud noises from the lobby, it was like entering a new world. One of our only complaints are that the houses should be longer! Such a great time we had. We recommend this place to everyone!
Absolute waste of money. Houses were short and had maybe 3 to 4 actors per house. The sent groups way to fast so you run into a line going through the house. Did all 5 houses in 45 minutes so not even 10 minutes a house. My wife got scared once by a chainsaw guy. By the fifth house I was walking through bored. Actors working 2 lanes often and with the groups piling up you always saw the scare ahead of you. I will admit the props were great but alot of missed opportunities for scares. I mean your literally blind in the strobe light house but all the actors are wearing lit up costumes so you see them clear as day . In the main room all their playing is ads trying to sell their escape room instead of setting a good mood and scene. It was supposed to be a backyard Halloween party gone wrong when really it felt like a website with too many popups. Itd be cool if they had music on the main floor with actors that didnt run everywhere or just chase the same people all night. I so many missed opportunities. Everyone in my party was disappointed and felt overcharged. I now understand the no refunds policy and the ambulances parked outside because people were bored to death.
I walked through with a group of 12! I ticket takers informed me it would be a better experience if we went in small groups, so we split into three groups or four. We had the best time, and enjoyed every house! The new house was pretty cool! I would definitely recommend and come back again!
Ive never been here but I was tempted so I drove from Rochester this last Saturday with a few of my friends specifically for this. WORTH IT!!!!!!!! This place is seriously the greatest haunted house EVER. The only drawback that I didnt like would be all the younger kids running around like crazy. But theres nothing that can really be done about that so thats why Im still giving it a well earned 5 stars. Its definitely worth the few extra $ for the fast pass that saved us a lot of time. The houses are all super SUPER detailed. ALL the actors were on point my all time favorite house was the asylum! One of my friends had to bail hlfway through because she got too scared. Overall in short, worth the drive, worth the money youll have an amazing experience.
I was there two nights ago and I just have to say Ive been going here every year since I moved here and Ive been around the country and seen as many haunted houses as you can imagine and trust me this ones THE BEST!! They never fail to change things up every year to keep it new and exciting and they definitely focus on even the smallest details inside and out of houses! They never fail to keep me on my toes even outside of the houses because they have actors walking around! I love being with a group of friends where we have to decide whats the best route to get to the next house so our extra scared friends wont get chased. Its very scary here and of course they always seem to frighten me no matter how brave I am. My favorites were the new Eeriepalooza and of course Nightstalkers because that one got the most screams from me! Cant wait to be back next year!! The staff was nice and made sure everyone was enjoying themselves and nobody was ruining the experience. The actors did an amazing job and I really felt their dedication! BEST HAUNTED HOUSE EVER!!
Had a blast lol laughing throughout the house but dont get me wrong scary characters and the experience was amazing cant wait till next year. I hope they mix it up put characters like Michael Myers The Nun Chucky Jason and nightmare on elm street omg that would be so freaking awesome
I travel two and a half hours every year to make this a part of my Halloween. Five separate haunts in a single HUGE building, and SO well done. I havent QUITE peed myself there yet, but its been close a couple of times. 😂 Also, mad shout outs to Tiny the Clown... You are the best thing ever!!!
This was so much fun to go to, and was extremely scary. The actors were all very into it and never went out of character. Warning though, some will definitely get in your face. The only thing is, if strobe lights are in the haunted house, I wish they alarmed you. When we went into the Asylum house, there was a strobe light maze and unfortunately no alternative to avoid the strobe lights or emergency exit. Also, in the lobby, there is a lot of fog. The fog is very cool, but by the time I made it to the last houses line, my head started to hurt and so did throat from the fog. Shouldnt the screaming hurt it enough??? Lastly, the flashlight attraction added this year wasnt what I thought itd be. The light was actually on a lot more than I thought. I thought itd be pitch black for a while, but only scarcely was it black
Hands down THE best Haunted Attraction in all of Buffalo and Western New York. The level of detail and dedication in their attractions is so in-depth and amazing. The actors there are terrifying and just as awesome! My favourite is that guy in Grindhouse with the chain before those terrifying chainsaws!
👻👽🤡👹Love this place. I wish I could give it 5 stars. I go every year. I may not be returning however. I was hurt by an actor inside one of the attractions last year. The actor did not mean to hurt me Im sure it was and accident. When I asked the staff to help me they were very rude, they didnt help at all so we left. This was once a fun place for my friends and I to go, but I dont want to take my chances getting hurt again. 👹🤡😻👻
FrightWorld is the BEST haunted house in NY. I’ve been going to FrightWorld for years and they never disappoint. I went there on Friday 10-18 and had a great time! The attention to detail in each house is incredible and the actors are equally impressive. The VIP Fast Pass is definitely the way to go - especially during peak hours. Loved the new layouts of all the houses and was super excited for their new house Storm Area 51. We will be back!
Place is really good actors and houses are amazing very scary and not too scary its perfect but it is very hot in there I think they should get some air conditioning and fans in the house and outside the house and they need to move faster cause the line to get in takes about 2 hours
One of the best haunts in america...the actors are intense and the houses are well thought out and put you in the sense of being in whole different place...would not suggest it for young children but they have a kids night with lights on and no scares...ive seen young people as well as senior citizens there enjoying the frights and some people scared out there mind...they also have a variety of food and beverages as well as merchandise...a must if you like a variety of houses scares and excitement.
Last Time Ill ever go! Waited 45 minutes at the door, then because they want to make more money from their customers I waited 10 minutes at the ATM to pay a $3 fee. Then another 20 minutes in line to find out the coupons werent being accepted, so back to the ATM for 20 minutes and another $3 fee. Also prices are raised to $28 this year but the houses are less scary than previous years. Same reused props but they name the houses different. Dont waste your money, Catacombs are cheaper and more scary.
Frightworld overall was super fun!!! The price for a 5 house pass is a lot of money I have to admit. One complaint I have is the box office people were a little rude and cranky with us. The price for a 5 house pass is $30. The price for a 2 house pass is $18 I do believe. I would definitely recommend it but a lot of standing and a lot of long lines. The 5 house pass is way more worth it than 2 house pass. The frightpass was $42. But that I understand to skip all the lines to go first in line. The concession stand had reasonable prices for food and drinks and frightworld merchandise. The security is very tight there as well. All of the houses were super fun and enjoyable and scary! 👻🎃
I absolutely LOVED fright world I cant wait to go back next year. I really hope camp massacre stays and asylum they are two of my favorites id love to experience the condemned house but it wasnt there this year. This was my first year at fright world and it was worth every cent!!
The amount of time and energy the workers put into frightworld is evident. The amount of detail in AND outside of the houses is amazing.. It is clear how passionate the monsters are about their job, as well as the other workers. Ive been going for about 5 years, and I plan to continue that tradition for the rest of my life!
You can tell they put a lot of pride and effort into their work. Each one was worth going through, especially the Asylum and Nighterstalkers. I had a great time being horrified. I definitely recommend the VIP pass since the lines can be very long.Only con was that some patrons were so scared they stopped moving forward, so at one point there was a conga line of us going through. I felt that the atmosphere was destroyed because of that. It only happened once, though. And really, whos fault is that? Haha.I probably wouldnt go again because I know what everything is like, but Id definitely recommend this place to first timers (or amnesiacs lol).
I love frightworld. I go here at least 10 times a season it’s, a great place for the Halloween season and a fun place to go to with your friends. All the houses are on point every year. I especially love the main lobby with all the actors like tiny stretch and the girl with the doll is great too, she’s one of the best additions to the lobby. Asylum gets creepier every year with the new flashlight interactive experience it made it more scary. I look forward to going here every Halloween season, I go to every opening and closing day of frightworld. I just absolutely love Frightworld. I recommend frightworld to anyone who likes haunts and scares.
I love fright world me and my girlfriend went there tonight and she was scared to go into the grind house she went in everything but that house. You guys are awesome the only thing Id say is bring back condemned and more clowns in the houses. Maybe like carnevil a house full of killer clowns. And maybe space the time people go in and stuff we ended up running into ALOT of other ppl groups halfway through. SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!!!! CANT WAIT

2021-11-19Overall great place sets were good and layouts were good as well themes were also good except for insanity they really have to step it up in there it’s just chain link fence with strobe lights nothing much else i’m really hoping they tear this one down and build up something new for the 2022 season

2021-10-17It was fun but not as scary as I thought it would be the actors were really friendly and so were staff very cool experience overall also did not see tiny the clown !! To many little kids that were pushing in the houses mabe there should be a age limit but had fun

2021-10-23I was quite impressed with the work that went into building this place and there were 5 attractions. The scare actors really try to scare you and do a great job doing it and the attraction scenery is awesome. There are even scare actors walking around the lobby taking pictures with everyone and there are plenty of selfie spots to take pictures. The attractions are inside away from Mother Natures elements, however they are gassing everyone with carbon monoxide from the chainsaws that they use. My throat was burning and I felt dizzy after being in there 5 minutes. If they figure out how to avoid gassing people, this place would have gotten a 5 from me.

2019-10-27I cannot even begin to describe the fun you will have. I can say that you will laugh, scream and Frightworld will have you coming back for more.Highly respectful staff, security and actors. Safe exit points throughout each haunt. For being a place that comes around once a year. The amount of detail and work that goes into this place is amazing.I would love to tour it during the day, just to see each detail.10/10 🌟10/10 value10/10 fun

2021-10-22So much fun! Wasnt too crowded around opening time so we did everything in about an hour. The staff and scare actors are professional and fun; the houses still impress and I hope we see new houses in the future. It was well worth the money and because we went early I didnt see the need for a VIP pass. Only one house had a longer wait than the rest. Security is there for added peace of mind so we were all comfortable and just happy to be back.

2021-11-11Go early....like when it opens. If you get there past 8:30pm on any given night and you will be in each line ( there are 5 attractions) for up to 30 minutes. Its dark and the air is like pea soup because of all the fog they pump into it. The staff are nice and explain this if you need assistance or have questions. There are armed police everywhere and security is very present. Over all fear factor....Id give it a solid 8 but Im TERRIFIED of the dark so.... the only issue I saw was they have to let you go in within seconds of the people in front of you so if your looking to do the solo thing with one or two people you wont get it the later you go. The staff cant touch you which was a relief but they sure can get right up in your face. Each house takes approx 5-8 minutes depending on how quickly you navigate pitch black mazes with zero visibility. I will say that it was a range of people kids as young as 5 and 6 to adults. It cost us $35 for 5 houses but we only went through 2. I was under the impression that you could use your pass until you got through all 5....but I might be wrong.

2021-10-30Great time!! Lines werent too bad. Worth the price. Each attraction was pretty cool. Actors were amazing. Only issue I had was the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. No hand towels and toilet paper gone. They should keep up with that.

2021-10-09Absolutely one of the best attractions I have been to! Staff was on point and super friendly! Actors and props were so real. Prices are a steal! All five houses were great. Definite must visit. We drove 5 1/2 hours and the experience was worth every minute! Highly recommended.
