Great family owned farm. They have all kinds of fresh vegetables for sale and they all taste great. Awesome family atmosphere for parents and children alike. The homemade cheese they have for sale is great. We travel to this area once a year and we make it a point to visit the farm every year!
Always a great experience at frog pond especially now that I have a little girl who enjoys seeing all the animals and playing in the corn bin! Love the new arrangement for the donut shack! Opens up some more parking and theres a nice area to sit down to enjoy your donuts.
I love Frog Pond Farms. Very cool place. Lots of animals for the kids to look at while you get your fruit and vegetables. The prices are good also. Checkout is the best part. There is no register. Only a man who calls out what you have, says the price per pound and adds it all up in his head no matter how much stuff you buy. That is worth the trip itself.
You won’t see a pond, and it’s unlikely you’ll see a frog. What you will see is a large farm stand that changes produce as the season progresses. Closed in winter, Frog Pond opens in the spring with garden plants and produce shipped from warmer climates. During the summer, local produce replaces shipped produce as it becomes ready for harvest. July‘s Pennsylvania peaches (the best). All produce is free to sample while at the stand. Eating the peaches and pickles are my favorite, but it is also very valuable when Fall brings more apple varieties than I knew existed. Try to find your favorite apple by sampling them all. Frog Pond also has local cheese, pepperoni, farm eggs, honey and more. Near the fruits, veggies and plants is a corn box for the kids to play in and a section of chicks, ducklings, bunnies and various other baby farm animals for sale. Up the hill and over the hill near the barn are more animals that are free to visit, but not for sale. Friday and Saturday are my favorite day to go given that the donut shack is open. I love Frog Pond for everything it is, but even if Frog Pond was closed, I would drive an hour just for one of these donuts! They have regular, cinnamon and glazed. Their glazed are my fav! Also, a few miles away is Pine Ridge Grocery. It’s not affiliated with Frog Pond, but it’s a fun place to stop while you are in the area. Both Frog Pond and Pine Ridge have websites. Look them up.
I have been visiting this place for around 15 years. My children have been coming with me since they were toddlers to pet the animals and plant a sunflower seed. They still love this place as teens and young adults. No matter where I live, I try to visit at least once every year. The honey sticks and pickles are a big hit with my family. I have purchased plants, vegetables, honey and more and have not once been disappointed. The selection is great, quality amazing and prices are more than fair. Customer service is always on point. Our family is moving to AZ and I know that we will continue to make sure we visit Frog Pond whenever we come back to NY.
The produce is good and prices are reasonable. Late season hanging baskets are a great deal.I did have an issue with the rabbits for sale - their cages are far too small for the number of rabbits in them which further perpetuates that rabbits only need a small area to live and that they belong outside. While they did have some food and water, the amount of clean hay wasnt quite sufficient for the number of bunnies in the cages and there was little evidence of fresh vegetables being provided.
Great place to buy plants and flowers. Staff is always nice and helpful. Need to use produce shortly after purchase though or it begins to go bad. I figure thats usually because of the hot summer temperatures it is subject too. The fresh local, in season things do last longer. Overall it is a great place and I do highly recommend it.
You will not find fresher fruits and vegetables anywhere else! Its my favorite Farm. Family run business. The owner is amazing at calculating your items in his head. All the employees are so helpful and sweet. Youre also allowed to taste the items before you buy them! Please visit them!!!
We love the pickles, peanuts and produce here! Great family run business, everyone is always helpful and friendly. A highlight is checking out when they add up your total out loud (without aid of calculator) and then pull your wagon to the car and help load. Today we had two young kids in the family helping us out 😊
Always packed but so much fun. Baby animals in spring. You can see their other animals- chickens, pigs, goats. Wonderful flowers and seeds. Kids Love the corn box- like a sand box but with dried corn kernels. And new addition -Donut Shack- they are So tasty!Only con (for some)for whole place would be that they do not accept credit cards/debit cards at all. Cash or local checks. EBT is accepted tho. Fun experience.EDIT:: 2021- they now do accept credit and debit cards. Love the pickles!
This place is maybe the best produce in the country! The selection of apples in the fall is incredible. While your there shopping you can also eat the items....just dont take any with you when you leave. There are many unique items also as well as a very large selection of produce and some prepared items as well. I will always make time to stop here, no matter what time of year im in the area!!! The employees all treat you as if your family and the prices are incredibly low while the quality is very high! I love frog pond farms!!!
It as simple as being a good business or not they are in my opinion not.bought animals from them that turned out to have mite infestation and subsequently died.called and was told no problem we will return your money,so we drove the 45 minute drive down and were told we would not get our money nor store credit as they could not stand to lose 36.oo.We were told we would be given two more animals but said we forgo any animals ever again.i guess I could stand to lose my 36.00 and have. they lost a customer and recommendation.
Love this place! It is well worth the 40min drive from Binghamton to get produce every couple of weeks. The prices are hard to beat. Always a good selection of items but when the local growing season gets in full swing this place it amazing. The little donut hut/trailer is amazing too
Great place for seasonal produce and pumpkins/gourds with great pricing. Kids can enjoy live animals including pheasants, cows, pigs, rabbits, goats, etc. Great donut shack and also local seasonal delicacies.Only draw back is understandably stinky Porta Johns for facilities, so bring wetnaps! Plus have a sandbox in the middle for kids, just dried corn instead of sand.
This used to be one of my favorite places to go but after today I wont be back. Upon walking in, the baby turkeys didnt have any water as hot as it was and if you got anywhere near their cage they wanted to bite your fingers off. Obviously because the food dish was also empty and there were a lot of turkeys in there. Place is not being taken care of. I regret driving out here.
Fun place for the whole family. A huge selection of produce, as well as local eggs, meat and cheese, and occasional baked goods.Always different animals for the kids to visit - baby goats and piglets, chicks and ducklings, bunnies and alpacas. And the children love to play in the corn bin. 😊
Very disappointed! I had heard a great deal about this place and drove almost 50 miles to see what all the excitement was about. Well, we got there and started looking around at their produce. WOW! There were bags of onions that contained rotten onions, there was garlic that had rotten spots on many of them, there were tomatoes that had rotten spots on them. I could go on and on, but like my experience I needed to stop! WHY doesnt someone take pride in their business and review the produce each day and discard the rotten stuff? Will I return, heck no! If someone asks me about the place I will need to be truthful so they dont waste their time and gas traveling to this place. I am seeing much better produce right here in my home town, so THAT is where I will shop!
I like the selection they have here and the prices seem to be very well too. The reason they are only getting 3 stars because their lack of getting with the times and not taking cards. If this was a small market I woulndt mind, but this place is kind of a decent size market and its my opinion that this day and age its not complicated to be able to take credit or debit cards. Its a real shame, we would have spent so much money the day we were there and the following days to come!
Farmers market with huge selection as well as farm animals. First time visit and we plan on returning. We stopped here October 1st and they were packed with apples, squashes, potatoes, corn, peppers, brussels sprouts and much more. They also had a few farm animals for sale such as chickens. If you like farmers markets, it doesnt get any better than this.
I have never visited FROG POND. I was impressed with the vegetables, cheese, honey and numerous plants available to purchase there. The prices were in line with most grocery stores and/or Farmer Markets. The corn we bought was honestly some of the best I have EVER had.
Love this places been going here for years since I was a little kid and now I go here with my family .. The food and stuff is so cheap you cant but get alot of stuff and pumpkins for Halloween was so cheap two and they made good craving pumpkin and I could go on but I just really love this place and the workers are so nices to you
We love coming here for seedlings to start out garden! The kids also like to see the animals and eat the fresh made glazed donuts and produce! They also have a corn bin for the little ones to dig and play in! Avoid the hotdogs and sausage, they are subpar. Everything else is amazing!
We stopped at the recommendation of Trip Advisor. While the farm animals were cute, it is not the cleanest farm Ive seen. I feel bad for the chickens because they are in too small a space. I also wish there was a place to wash hands after petting the animals. Not all of the produce is local and some of it is old. While it is inexpensive, you get what you pay for. There also arent any organics available. The people were friendly enough and parking is ample.
Literally my favorite place, as a former chef, to buy produce, specialty meat (Their andouille sausage is the best Ive had outside Louisiana), and farm-fresh staples. (The pickles are soooo good and their cheese is delicious.)My wife likes the selection of flowers and my children look forward year-long to their fruit. Occasionally, I cheat and let myself have 1/4 of a doughnut; my daughter eats the rest.
Awesome place for fresh produce, I always make a special trip to frog pond in the first week of August just for the peaches 🍑,they get the Pennsylvania peaches around this time of year, but all in all the produce whether fruits or veggies are great, service is good too
Nice Farmers market, has some veggies. Main inventory is plants. They have some animals on the right side (east end). Nick, a young kid showed me some goats, pigs, rabbits & baby turkeys? Its about 40 minutes northeast of Binghamton. Getting back on highway can be a little confusing. If you travel on I-88 often and want a little fun, check this place out
Frog Pond has been a regular stop for me for many years and will continue to be for years to come. What I like best is I can buy a bushel of tomatoes for canning and get them all done at once rather than pick a small pail full from the garden and drag out the canning process for days. Makes canning duty go a little faster.

2022-05-15Most plants here are cheaper than at Lowes or Home Depot but some are more costly. From our house it is closer than any other place so with the price of gas even if some are more expensive its a good place for us to go. They have garden vegetables and perennial and annual flowers and other plants.
