I had not visited this restaurant in over 20 yearsI loved it then and appreciated it more today. The service was exceptional. The food was deliciousThe spegghetti carbonara was awesome the felet of sole in franchaise sauce to die for.Howard beach got nothing over this Williamsburg restaurant. Well except Bruno’s another to go to Italian staplePeople take the ride to Williamsburg and check out Frost restaurant. You won’t be disappointed
Went out with my girlfriend for her birthday the service was great that make you feel at home and comfortable and the food was so delicious as also the desserts I recommend anybody to go enjoy yourself in this family restaurant and have a great time with the family I really did enjoy ourselves sincerely yours Richie and Dina
This is one of the last true Italian restaurants left in New York, with actual Italians doing the cooking! Hipster and yuppies in Williamsburg don’t think it’s hip enough , but then again, what do they know about good food?? I have been going here since the 70’s, my family came from Williamsburg, and this blows away 99 percent of the other joints! Other restraint owners come here to eat !! Sauce is cooked to order for the fresh seafood Ask for waiter Armondo , tell him big Michael sent ya. ! Try the seafood platter with medium or hot sauce!
Fantastic food. Super authentic and broad menu. Close walk to Brooklyn Steel if you show up early for a concert. Service is good. Family run place and tons of regulars from what I can tell - usually a sure sign of great food! Will definitely stop here again when in the area. Best Italian food I’ve had in a while.
The food took me back to my childhood of remembering how real Italian food tasted. This was not a restaurant but an experience. The food was all old time recipes that go back decades and decades. The sauce was so good that I really thought I was a kid again eating my great grandmothers food. If you want old world Italian food made by an original family this is the place to go. The prices seem comparable to running a great restaurant. The baked claims were so good that we ordered another one and whatever the secret sauce for the baked claims were, we ate it all up with the bread they serve. You have to try this once and I promise you will love it like we did. Great food.
Have been going here for over 20 years and the food stays amazing, the other thing that hasn’t changed is the excellent service, they are always nice, and know what they’re doing, the staff has been there I think as long as we’ve been going. Great place for the kids as well as just us and some friends, in fact our best friends from New Jersey love it so much they’ll drive the hour and a half here so we all can go, we get the hot anti pasta to start, it’s a combo of all their hot appetizers and plenty for 4 people to start, love the penna ala vodka, pork chop is outrageous! We’ve tried almost everything, and everything is delicious, their portions are big, I always end up taking some home. If you haven’t tried it and like Italian food, it’s a must!
This is a Go To Restaurant, when you want a Great Dinner.... We have Friends in So. Jersey who come in to dine here... Too Many Good dishes. One of my Favorites is their Ossobuco.... Fish Dishes are Sublimely Delicious.. But When You Sit Down, Enjoy The Complimentary Peppers..... Enjoy
One of my absolute favorite restaurants in Greenpoint. Ive been going to this restaurant since I was a little girl with my parents and I had my wedding reception there. The food is absolutely delicious and yes they are expensive but who isnt these days in Greenpoint and Williamsburg? If you want truly amazing Italian fare and great service from the wait staff then take a trip over there you wont be disappointed!
I have been eating here for more years than I can remember. The prices have gone up and the quality of the food has gone down. The wait staff are wonderful, Armondo is a gentleman. But the food, for the money, is not up to par. I have a romantic memory of this place, this is where the family would come for special occasions. But as of late, the romance is gone. My wife and I came here for a date night. We were not impressed. I dont know if managment became complacent, or if they lost their long time chef. I dont mind spending money for a night out, but almost $200 for antipasto, pasta with braciole and chicken rollatini. None of it by the way, was worth writing home about anymore, just makes me very sad.
Great authentic Italian restaurant just a few blocks off the Brooklyn Queens Expressway. The food is great and fresh. It is great for a romantic evening or a lunch or dinner with friends. The price can be a bit much but you get what you pay for. The service is hit or miss depending on the waiter/waitress. Buon appetito.
The ingredients are about as fresh as you can get. The passion behind the product shows through each dish which are presented and portioned perfectly. The menu is extensive and has something for everyone. For the high quality and flavor, you simply cannot beat the very reasonable prices. Like many restaurants of the area.Perhaps the thing that sets this place apart from everywhere else is the staff. From the minute we walked in we were treated wonderfully. We did not have a reservation so we put in our name done, went and had a drink nearby and got a called in less than a hour later letting us know our table was ready.
Nice Italian restaurant in the Williamsburg area on frost Street. This place is a gem thats been around for a very long time. You can either call ahead for a reservation or just walk in. Weekends can get busy around dinner time with everyone from the neighborhood coming for dinner. But when you walk in you get seated fast and the service is on point. Food was delicious and they have alot of great options to choose from along with the prices that are great. Restaurant is very cozy and has lots of seats good for a date, dinner with friends or going solo for a bite to eat.
A MOTHERS DAY DISSAPOINTMENT.....So the only thing enjoyable about this experience was the waiter Fernando. Otherwise this restaurant is overpriced...No salad with meal...bread is dry, cheap and tasteless...Décor is drab...place appears to be large on outside, but very crampy on inside. Meal was mediocre...No real Italian flavor AT ALL. Seafood was overcooked....lobster was hard and was more like chicken... what more can I say....VERY DISAPPOINTED...
I had the pleasure of having dinner at a nearby restaurant, where I live in Williamsburg, Brooklyn NY., named Frost Italian Restaurant specializing in seafood. I ordered the baked clams (8) per order, was so delicious, just loved the breading, seasoned well. I ordered chicken cutlet parmigiana with linguine.was good, but not as great as past dishes of this. I must admit, you get a huge portion of this, well worth the price.... For dessert I ordered a cannoli and a cup of cappuccino, the cannoli was delicious, but the cappuccino was so disappointing, was served in a tall glass mug, had no flavor, was watered down... would have been better, if it was served in a cup, with lots of whipped cream and with a cinnamon stick, as I have had it served in other Italian restaurants or while I ordered it in Germany, as I lived there for five years. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant, but I strongly suggest getting regular coffeeto go with your dessert, as opposed to a cappuccino.....
Let me just say I have been coming here for 50 years and it is always a delicious experience my current go to choice is the filet of sole oreganata but if you have the chicken or veal rollatini chicken parmesan veal scallopini or any other fish delicacy topped off by my favorite lemoncello you will not be disappointed
The food from Frost is truly a favorite for me and my family. The restaurant is a non-impressive local Italian-Seafood joint (whose decor needs to be updated) but the food outshines all complaints about the dining room time forgot. The lobster and shrimp fra diavolo are unreasonably good, and the portions of chicken parm. and pasta are very sizable (aka prepare to over-eat and be happy about). The staff is happy youre there and treats you like family.

2021-10-11Service here was great! We made a reservation for 5 people on the day of and the table was ready to go. The actual food was fantastic—pictured below is the eggplant, gluten free pasta and manicotti. The eggplant was perfectly cooked and the red sauce was so flavorful. The gluten free pasta was also not mushy like it is in other places! I was so happy with my meal. The other dish featured is the manicotti. The ricotta was fresh and delicious in that one.Not pictured is the dish another friend got with shrimp and spinach. The sauce on that one wasn’t as flavorful, unfortunately. If you’re looking for a family-owned old school Italian spot, this one is it!

2022-06-29Service was excellent. Very attentive wait staff. Food was delicious. The seafood salad and main dish were fresh and filled with seafood and not just a bit of seafood and more pasta.

2022-04-30This place is a dream. Its literally some of the best service weve ever experienced and that includes places like 11 Mad Park and Blue Hill. About 1 minute after we had sat at the table we had drinks bread and menus. The food was excellent of course. I highly recommend trying the Cavatelli Bolagnase and the Veal Parm. Sooooo good! Thank you for staying true to being a local Italian option in East Williamsburg.

Frost Restaurant is not trying to be anything its not while delivering a perfectly balanced Italian dinner at a comfortable price. The space is great for groups & the staff is really friendly. I know we are going to make this a regular thing for our family & hope you will too!
