Fu Yuan in other cities:
Good place to grab a bite on the go. The food is fresh and is of the traditional HK style with many choices. However, wait times can be long, waited 10 mins for my order, so not really efficient. The place is cramped and uncomfortable for the wait. Overall would come here for the food.
Almost always a line out the door, which speaks to how this place is worth trying. A true hole in the wall with delicious food to go - rice rolls, curry fish balls - get them together and tell them you want all the sauces! The lady who took my order spoke cantonese & mandarin.
I used to love this place a lot, this is one of traditional Hong Kong style breakfast , if you want a lot of meat, this is not for you. The point of these food in my opinion is Just rice noodle mix with sauce with little bit taste of meat. Normally I order it in morning, today i ordered it at 3:30pm. The steam rice noodle taste sour( like expired food ). Big dislike. Hope they can keep the food fresh till the store closed.
For what you get at the price is okay in Flushing Chinatown. There are other places where you dont have to wait and taste about the same for less. Going into this you know you will have a lumpsome of MSG. Probably over hyped but decent I guess if you are waiting for the public transit and want a quick bite.
I ordered shrimp rice roll, for 2.50ish dollars, they give a decent amount of food. the shrimp is fresh but a little bit fishy taste which could be a turn off for many people. The rice roll itself doesnt have much taste but eating it with their homemade soy sause will make it much better. In addition to that, the vendor is very friendly and one of them could somewhat speak English which is very useful. This place usually very packed on the weekend in my observation experiences, so going on week day is much better and significantly less pack. Id recommend this place as it is cheap and quality food.
Pro:1. An actual storefront rather than a cart so its more comfortable to order and wait for the food.2. Prices are reasonable for portion size and taste.3. Friendly staff.4. Short wait time for food preppingHeads up:1. Lacked adequate seating, but it doesnt deter me from purchasing again.Personal:1. Had a small menu but had my favorites2. The location makes it convenient to pick up a quick meal or snack then head to the corner for a drink and quickly be on my merry way.
The price of stone-ground rice rolls is cheap this year, the speed of meal delivery is ok, the ingredients are the same as the price, the skin is thin, the skin is thin, and the pork skin is delicious; even the auntie of the rice rolls will forget the content of the order, so you have to confirm it repeatedly to avoid the goods. wrong board

2021-09-25Just as good as Joe’s steamed rice rolls up the street if not better and also not as long of a wait. Very good amount of food for the price and really delicious. The peanut butter rolled up rice rolls was nice and thick and the regular beef rice rolls were thin and flavorful. I also really enjoyed the curry fish balls

2022-05-15Ordered a full palate of goodies for around twenty. Had a couple of jong wraps, shrimp rice rolls and curry fish balls. The only disappointment were the fish balls that didnt have a good coating of curry sauce. When you ask for spicy sauce, they give you a couple of packets of OG Sriracha sauce made to look like the bottle which is neat.

2022-06-28Noodle roll is my new favorite dish from Chinese cuisine, and ones made by Fu Yuan are really good.I tried shrimp in this visit, will try different meat next time Im in Flushing.Too bad they close at 6pm. They should definitely extend their hours.

2022-05-25Little hole in the wall with some of the best rice noodle rolls in Flushing. I love the Chee Cheong Fun with fish balls. Those rice noodle rolls are a bit thicker and chewier but I like them over the thinner steamed ones (which they also have). Also definitely get the peanut sauce they offer!

2022-03-13I tried one order from each of the three main categories—steamed rice noodle roll, rice noodle with sauce and rice congee. They all tasted solid and good. Reliable place for some classic, homey dishes. Prices were very reasonable; large portions are very filling. Service was cordial. My order took awhile though it was because it was made to order, which is good.

2022-05-16Was recommended this place by my sister and it did not disappoint! the portions are so generous for such low prices (i got a small curry fishballs with rice noodles and a small century preserved egg porridge) and the peanut sauce is amazing. the wait time for your food takes less than 2 minutes and the old lady there was so helpful.

2022-04-16Another Rice noodle company two doors down to the right. Appears on google to be the same company but when asked they are different storefront. The rice noodle storefront two doors down is better. The rice noodles were too doughy from this storefront.
